Man, Sex, God, and Yale

Common Sense Commentary: The following article is about 20% of the full article which I took from the Hillsdale College Publication, Imprimis. It was written by a 2009 graduate of Yale, Nathan Harden. Nathan is editor of the College Fix, a higher education website, and blogs about higher education for National Review Online. He has written for numerous publications, including National Review, The Weekly Standard, The American Spectator, the New York Post and the Washington Times.

May I remind you that Yale, Harvard, Columbia and most other large, old universities began as Christian Colleges which taught the Bible. This fact reveals the natural course of all institutions, including governments and churches, is trending downward. This is, of course, the critical need for constant spiritual revival among Christians and in churches and Christian institutions. Without a constant pursuit of revival, to take up the spiritual slack, all institutions will eventually drift into this same deep, dark, spiritually dead, hole ... in the graveyard of expediency and Liberalism. RB

Man, Sex, God, and Yale

There is clearly a radical sexual agenda at work at Yale today. Professors and administrators who came of age during the sexual revolution are busily indoctrinating students into a culture of promiscuity. In fact, Yale pioneered the hosting of a campus "Sex Week" ... a festival of sleaze, porn, and debauchery, dressed up as sex education. I encountered this tawdry tradition as an undergrad, and my book documents the events of Sex Week, including the screening in classrooms of hard-core pornography and the giving of permission to sex toy manufacturers and porn production companies to market their products to students.

In one classroom, a porn star stripped down to bare breasts, attached pinching and binding devices to herself as a lesson in sadomasochism, and led a student around the room in handcuffs. On other occasions, female students competed in a porn star look-alike contest judged by a male porn producer, and a porn film showing a woman bound and beaten was screened in the context of "instruction" on how students might engage in relationships of their own.

And again, these things happened with the full knowledge and approval of Yale's senior administrators.

As might be expected, many Yale students were offended by Sex Week, but university officials defended it in the name of "academic freedom" ... a sign of how far this noble idea, originally meant to protect the pursuit of truth, has fallen.  And the fact that Yale, as an institution, no longer understands the substantive meaning of academic freedom  which requires the ability to distinguish art from pornography, not to mention right from wrong ...is a sign of its enslavement to the ideology of moral relativism, which denies any objective truth (except, of course, for the truth that there is no truth).

Is Black Prejudice Still A Major Problem In The U.S.?

Yes, black prejudice against whites is, but white prejudice against blacks is no longer a major problem.  Black crime against whites has increased drastically, in recent years, but white crime against blacks is now practically non-existent. When it does happen, it is plastered across the major news networks. World Net Daily reports on this new phenomena, but the Liberal  news media refuses to do so. Times have indeed changed.
The ironic thing is, that black crime against blacks is also increasing rapidly.

I can't help believing that the vast majority of white Americans would agree with this article even though most of them are afraid of saying, out loud, what I am saying, for fear of being labeled "racist".  Jesus said, "The truth shall make you free."

It is true, of course, that many Americans, in the generations before mine, mistreated and even persecuted blacks and some terribly so.  It is also true that many Americans were prejudiced against blacks, in my generation. But, the fact is, that very few Americans are blindly prejudiced against blacks today.... simply because they are black. The election of a black as president of the United States, twice, is incontrovertible proof that more than 50% of Americans are not prejudiced against blacks.  But, at least 80 or 90% of those, whom I know, who voted against President Obama, including myself, did so because or his record of radical political and  economic views and goals for our country, which are almost totally opposite to our own.  To my knowledge, nobody I know is prejudiced against blacks, because they are black. If they are prejudiced at all, it is because of a negative perception of character flaws in an individual or group of individuals, but definitely not because of color, sex or nationality. There are too many wonderful blacks who are loved by these same conservative, good people.  I am prejudiced against all atheists and Communists, but I am not, in the least, prejudiced against all Chinese simply because China is still governed by Communists and maybe the majority of Chinese, in China, are also Communists. Any black man who is experienced, moral, a Conservative, is qualified, and a Constitutionalist, I would vote for.  If he is the best person seeking the job, he deserves it. All of my friends know this is true of me.  On any of the last seven presidential elections, I would have voted for either Walter Williams,  Rep. Allen West or even Rep. J.C. Watts,  all black, as president, in preference to any of those who were elected, black or white, and I voiced this opinion. (See their quotes below).  (Ronald Reagan was the last real Consevative to hold that office). There are actually few professional politicians I would vote for, white or black, for any office.

I do not discriminate between people based on their color, nationality or sex.
The only discrimination I have is in favor of anyone who is honest, holds the best job he can find, earns his pay, is moral, responsible, loyal, self reliant, clean talking, respects others is pro-life and pro-traditional marriage, and defends our U.S. Constitution.  I give an extra salute to those who are also Christians and good witnesses.  But there are many professing Christians who would make poor leaders in any position, and for whom I would not vote.  My prejudice is based on character and ability, not color or class or even religion.  I am also prejudiced against anyone who is lazy, dishonest, cruel, irresponsible, and generally opposit to the description above, though I would always witness to them of the saving grace of Christ.

It is my sincere opinion that, as of recent years, and in the future, almost all rejection or acceptance of blacks will be on the same basis as of anyone else.... their own qualities of character or lack thereof.

I may be one of the first to say these things....but I will not be the last. RB

Walter Edward Williams, mentioned above, is an American economist, commentator, and academic. He is the John M. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics at George Mason University, as well as a syndicated columnist and author known for his strong, conservative views. He is a strong Constitutionalist and patriotic American. RB

Walter Williams Quote: There are people in need of help. Charity is one of the nobler human motivations. The act of reaching into one's own pockets to help a fellow man in need is praiseworthy and laudable. Reaching into someone else's pocket is despicable and worthy of condemnation.

J.C. Watts Quote:
Character is doing the right thing when nobody's looking. There are too many people who think that the only thing that's right is to get by, and the only thing that's wrong is to get caught.

Allen West Quote:
In his speech today to the United Nations, President Obama stated six times that the attacks across the Islamic world are attributed to a silly video. Furthermore, he refused to use the words terrorist attack in referring to what occurred in Benghazi Libya at our US Consulate on the 11th anniversary of 9-11. He continues to offer up apologies instead of defending our hard earned First Amendment right to freedom of speech and expression. There is no message to this silly video trailer, and it is beneath the dignity and esteem of the Office of the President of the United States to mention it at all. When tolerance becomes a one way street it leads to cultural suicide. I shall not be tolerant of the intolerant. I know about the UN Resolution 1618 which would make any statement deemed by the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) “offensive’ to Islam a crime…..NOT ON MY WATCH FELLAS!
My statement to the United Nations would have been, “The future does not belong to those who attack our Embassies and Consulates and kill our Ambassadors. The Angel of Death in the form of an American Bald Eagle will visit you and wreak havoc and destruction upon your existence”

Is My Habit, Fantacy, Weakness, Failure ... A Sin?

Common Sense Commentary: "And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous...." Gen.18:20.

Over the years, as a pastor, I have had some interesting conversations. One, I remember well, but not the exact words so I will tell it as best I can, as I remember it.
I was talking with a man and his wife about their souls when he interupted me with something like this: "Reverend Blair, my wife and I would like to join your church, but you preach against stuff that's not even in the Bible."  "Like what?" "Well, one man's pleasure is another man's sin."  "Like what?" "Well, like I smoke cigaretts and have a drink now and again ... and just because my wife weighs two or three hundred doesn't mean she is a glutton."  "Is that what I preach?"  "Well, no, but our son's sexual preference is the gay likestyle and he smokes a little pot and likes to express himself with words you wouldn't like." "Like what?" "Well, you know ... bathroom and bedroom words, and none of that is in the ten commandments ... cause I read them, and he just wouldn't be comfortable in your church."  That's not the end of the story but let's look at the question of sin.  What exactly is sin?

"....sin is the transgression of the law."  1 John 3:4.

Since the Ten Commandments are the focal point of "the law", some might say that "sexual preference, using bathroom and bedroom language, smoking tobacco or pot, using drugs and a lot of other such things are not in the Ten Commandments". If the Lord had listed, specifically, each particular sin, there would have been a hundred or two Commandments instead a just ten.  He did say, "Thou shalt not commit adultry and homosexuality is, at the very least, adultery. And no, He didn't mention tobacco or pot, beer, whisky, gluttony or using foul language (unless you use his name in vain) in the Ten Commandments... but, can you say those things are "righteous"?  And if not righteous, they are unrighteous.  Anything God created us to do, if we do not abuse or pervert it, is right or righteous.

"All unrighteousness is sin...." 1 John 5:17.  So what is "unrighteousness"? How can we know all the things that may be unrighteousness in God's eyes?  Are gluttony, laziness, cheating, sexual fantasy, gossip, and lust, in addition to those things above, though not mentioned in the Ten Commandments, sin?  Are they "right" or "wrong"?
Actually, some of these things are identified in other parts of the Bible as sin. But anything, not named specifically in the Bible, can still be clearly understood to be righteous or unrighteous by a Christian.  How ?

God's Holy Spirit will reveal it to believers:
"... The Spirit of truth... will guide you into all truth..." John 16:13. This verse is exclusively for Christians, in whom the Holy Spirit lives.

God's Holy Faith will reveal it to believers:
"...Whatsoever is not of faith is sin." Romans 14:23. If a thing is not specifically named , in the Bible, a Christian can still know if it is right or wrong, righteous or unrighteous, sin or not sin.  As a Christian, if you cannot do a thing "in faith",
without feeling guilty or dirty or out of  God's will, whether that thing is a sin in God's eyes or not, it is a sin for you, if you think it is wrong and do it anyway it is the sin of rebellion.  You think you are rebelling against God's will.  Here is the Scripture:

Romans 14:1-23
"Him that is weak in the faith receive ye....   For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.  Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.  Who art thou that judgest another man's servant?  .... He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.  For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.  But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.  So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.....  I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is (no food) unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.    But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died. ...
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost....  For meat destroy not the work of God. All things (food) are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence....   Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.  Romans 14:1-23.

All of the above is just another proof that salvation is by the grace of  God and not by our own works of righteousness.  If we Christians were judged by our good works, we would all go to hell. "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one...." Rom.3:10.

There Are Moments... Gravel & Jewels In The Night

Common Sense Commentary: "We wrestle... against the rulers of the darkness of this world...." Eph.6:12.   "Christ in you, the hope of glory...." Col.1:27.

There are moments, usually in the wee hours of the night, when I awake and cannot sleep, that a wave of something akin to foreboding sweeps over me.  It is not God, but the powers of darkness.  It isn't fear, but a dreadful anticipation of a growing, evil control of the earth. It's not the absence of God, but the presence of that evil ... seeking that control. It's not  long lasting, but departs when sleep returns or with prayer and the dawn.

There are other moments, relaxing in my chair or bed, eyes closed, thinking of the things of our Lord, when a holy, pleasant glow happens in by soul.  It's not physical, but spiritual. It isn't the outer man but the inner.  It is not exciting, but preciously peaceful. It's not pride in myself, but comfort in Christ. It isn't my righteousness, but repentance and gratitude. And it's not even me ..... It's Christ ... in me. I wish it for everyone. RB

Benghazi Summarized...For Historical Record

Common Sense Commentary:  "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."  John 8:32.  A half truth is a whole lie. RB
History will remember Benghazi more for two Navy Seals than all else. RB

                    BENGHAZI

                                         By
Dr. Charles R. Roots Senior Pastor, Former Staff Sergeant,
USMC and Captain, U. S. Navy Chaplain Corps (Ret)

BENGHAZI : The stunning part of this story is that Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty killed 60 of the attacking force. Once the compound was overrun, the attackers were incensed to discover that just two men had inflicted so much death and destruction. Just think how much could have been accomplished if they had the support of their Commander-in-Chief.

The news has been full of the attacks on our embassies throughout the Muslim world, and in particular, the deaths of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others in Benghazi , Libya . However, apart from the shameful amount of disinformation willingly distributed by the Main Stream Media and the current administration, there’s a little known story of incredible bravery, heroics, and courage that should be the top story of every news agency across the fruited plain.

So what actually happened at the U.S. embassy in Libya ? We are learning more about this every day. Ambassador Stevens and Foreign Service officer Sean Smith, along with administrative staff, were working out of temporary quarters due to the fact that in the spring of 2011 during the so-called Arab Spring, the United States cut ties with then president Moammar Gadhafi. Our embassy was looted and ransacked, causing it to be unusable. It is still in a state of disrepair. Security for embassies and their personnel is to be provided by the host nation. Since Libya has gone through a civil war of sorts in the past 18 months, the current government is very unstable, and therefore, unreliable

A well-organized attack by radical Muslims was planned specifically targeting the temporary U.S. embassy building. The Libyan security force that was in place to protect our people deserted their post, or joined the attacking force. Either way, our people were in a real fix. And it should be noted that Ambassador Stevens had mentioned on more than one occasion to Secretary of State, “Hillary Clinton”, that he was quite concerned for his personal safety and the welfare of his people. It is thought that Ambassador Stevens was on a “hit list.”

A short distance from the American compound, two Americans were sleeping. They were in Libya as independent contractors working an assignment totally unrelated to our embassy. They also happened to be former Navy SEALs. When they heard the noise coming from the attack on our embassy, as you would expect from highly trained warriors, they ran to the fight. Apparently, they had no weapons, but seeing the Libyan guards dropping their guns in their haste in fleeing the scene, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty snatched up several of these discarded weapons and prepared to defend the American compound.

Not knowing exactly what was taking place, the two SEALs set up a defensive perimeter. Unfortunately Ambassador Stevens was already gravely injured, and Foreign Service officer, Sean Smith, was dead. However, due to their quick action and suppressive fire, twenty administrative personnel in the embassy were able to escape to safety. Eventually, these two courageous men were overwhelmed by the sheer numbers brought against them, an enemy force numbering between 100 to 200 attackers which came in two waves. But the stunning part of the story is that Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty killed 60 of the attacking force. Once the compound was overrun, the attackers were incensed to discover that just two men had inflicted so much death and destruction.

As it became apparent to these selfless heroes, they were definitely going to lose their lives unless some reinforcements showed up in a hurry. As we know now, that was not to be. I’m fairly certain they knew they were going to die in this gun fight, but not before they took a whole lot of bad guys with them!

Consider these tenets of the Navy SEAL Code: 1) Loyalty to Country, Team and Teammate, 2) Serve with Honor and Integrity On and Off the Battlefield, 3) Ready to Lead, Ready to Follow, Never Quit, 4) Take responsibility for your actions and the actions of your teammates, 5) Excel as Warriors through Discipline and Innovation, 6) Train for War, Fight to Win, Defeat our Nation’s Enemies, and 7) Earn your Trident every day (http://www.navyseals.com/seal-code-warrior-creed).

Thank you, Tyrone and Glen. To the very last breath, you both lived up to the SEAL Code. You served all of us well. You were courageous in the face of certain death.

And Tyrone, even though you never got to hold your newborn son, he will grow up knowing the character and quality of his father, a man among men who sacrificed himself defending others. God bless America !

Put Her In Charge !!!!

Common Sense Commentary:  There is some mysterious, basic difference in the way people think. It seems that about half the population leans to the left and the other half leans to the right.  Most of those in the middle lean whichever way the wind is blowing...  These simply go along with the crowd which convinces them of the rightness of their cause. So, for the moment, those mindless, oblivious souls in the middle, lean to the right or left. Those are the ones which make the difference in which side wins political elections or whatever is being voted on. Now, here is a young lady who has been studious, intelligent and morally conscious enough to sort out the facts, analyse them and come to the "right" understanding of national issues. RB

This was in the Waco Tribune Herald, Waco , TX , Nov 18, 2011It was written by a 21 year old female who gets it....!
These solutions are just common sense, in her opinion.
I have a high opinion of her opinion. RB

PUT ME IN CHARGE . . .
Put me in charge of food stamps. I'd get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho's, come pickup your 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I'd do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal legations. Then, we'll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, or smoke, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your "home" will be subject to inspections at any time and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the "common good.."

Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self esteem," consider that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.
AND While you are on Gov't subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov't welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.

"Amen"  Good preaching. RB

A Lonely, Bored, Unloved Failure? Oh Shut UP!

Common Sense Commentary:  "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Isa.41:10.

When I was young, I sometimes felt like an untalented child, which I was, but I never felt like a failure, just a child.  Since then I have failed a million times but never really felt like a failure. The feeling of failure in life must be a terribly depressing burden ... especially for a man. I have never thought of myself as special or extra talented or highly capable or intellectually superior, but neither do I recall ever feeling bored or useless or incapable. I have felt stupid a few times. I'm just me, nothing more or less. I can surely improve me, but I cannot be something or somebody I'm not, and don't want to be. If I could I would change some things about myself that God didn't put there, but I wouldn't change places with anybody else on earth. That's not because I think I'm better or even very good. I'm just not unhappy with God's arrangement of my life.  No, it's not perfect but what on earth is?

I was surrounded by so many people for so many years, as a pastor, that one might think, as an old retired man now, that I would feel lonely. Not so. I don't ever recall being lonely. I enjoy the quietness and freedom of being alone sometimes. I enjoy the far back-woods and the vast, empty desert. I also enjoy seeing my wife, Bettie, when I return or she returns home from being gone. I can't imagine being without her. I know I would be lonely without her if she died before me. Loneliness must be a deeply painful thing to endure.

I must confess, I have felt unloved from time to time, but it isn't true. It's a common human fallacy. I have loved and been loved far more than I had any right to expect.  And that is usually the problem with most people who feel unloved. Almost everyone expects far too much of others.... more than they themselves are willing or able to give or be. People are just people not angels, gods, real good or even tolerable much of the time. People are mostly selfish and self-centered, deep down, when pressured to the limit, and the mask of civility and personality are laid aside.  How God could love us at all is the mystery ... much less how we could love each other.  Humanity, in general, isn't very lovable ... but Jesus loved us anyway and died, not for saints, but for sinners ... even the worst of sinners. It's truly amazing.

So, if you have Jesus, you have God and the Holy Spirit too.  That's you and three  friends. If you had nothing or no one else, you already have eternal life, the infinite universe, God, and a heaven full of angels to live with you there.... not to mention all the Old Testament saints and the entire Church of Jesus Christ, your heavenly family,
forever.  Now, back to the here and now.  There are ten lifetimes of things worth doing on this earth .... so go do some of them. There are seven billion people in the world ... so go befriend  some of them. The majority of those feel unloved ... so go love some of them.  If you don't feel like doing that, do it for Jesus.  And let's not hear any more of that "lonely, unloved failure" whining waste of time.

Jesus said, "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid." Matt.5:14. Get up out of that ditch, or gutter or deep dark hole you are in and get up there on your assigned  "hill" where you belong and where you can illuminate the country-side, and be seen shinning for Jesus for miles around. Light IS success already.  Now  all you need is your hill. Get up there and radiate for Jesus, love and be loved, help others to see the way, and you will not be lonely, unloved, bored or a failure.  And best of all, you will be the real YOU that God intended you to be when He gave you life and talent.  Just be THAT you...nothing else.  RB

A Message To The Young, The Adult & The Old

Common Sense Commentary: The benefits and improvements of old age are few; but those few have a place in serving God. Most old people not only have a lifetime of experience to share, some good and some not, but also, usually, that experience has become the root and source of patience, sensitivity, and wisdom.  And those old age benefits are the wellspring of "advice", which most old people are known to have shared lavishly and often.  King Solomon was full of advice to the young. He had to
be quite old when He wrote the wisdom of Proverbs and the acute awareness of Ecclesiastes.  I say that because he was so well acquainted with, and on a personal name basis with, the liabilities of old age when he wrote the latter.

Let me paraphrase Ecc.12:1-7......  Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before you get old and have few pleasant days, your eyesight is poor, and your arms and legs give way. In those days, even strong men are stooped and grow weak. Your old, worn teeth break and give you pain. Your hearing fails you ... except when small noises awaken you in the night .... But you can't even hear a bird singing, in the day-time. In those difficult days of old age, once brave people are afraid of heights and danger in the streets. Your hair turns white or falls out, and all your bodily functions begin to misfire, backfire and retire. Then, you lose interest in things which once excited you, and finally you die.
Yes, I know, that is not encouraging, a bit morbid, but true nevertheless.

The reason folks have to retire is that they no longer have time to work because of doctor's appointments, dental appointments, optician appointments, hearing-aid appointments, banker appointments to straighten out overdrafts, bounced checks or lost checkbook. All this while you are trying to catch up on sleep you lost the last two weeks or visiting your children who are about to divorce etc. etc. etc.  In old age you spend most of your time doing things which once were trivial or didn't exist at all.  Exercising tired and worn old bones and muscles is a major challenge and eating the wrong thing can throw your digestive system into a tizzy. Even bathing, shampooing and shaving become a real task. Keeping your house and clothes clean and cooking and "uncooking" become more boring still.  That's why many old people's homes smell like... old people's homes...not bad but not good.  Also, many old people just can't drive at night and it's hard enough in the daytime.  So don't be too hard on the elderly for not doing everything you think they should do.  You are supposed to pick up where they left off, doing the hard work of the Lord's church.  If you are judgemental or impatient with them, the young will be judgemental and impatient with you when you are in those old shoes.  "Judge not, and ye shall not be judged..." Lk.6:37.

Ending life in old age is somewhat similar to beginning life as an infant, but in reverse.
While the young are gearing up from childhood to adulthood, we oldsters are gearing down to our second childhood.  While children's strength is increasing, our strength is decreasing.  As children have to be told two or three times at the beginning of life, we have to be told four or five times at the ending of life.  At the beginning, absolutely everything has to be done for a baby and at the ending, absolutely everything has to be done for the elderly. A baby begins life having to be fed and old folks end life ... having to be fed. And then there is that diaper thing ... at the beginning and at the ending ... Pitiful prospect.  I think I'll skip that stage. RB

The coming and going of life, the giving and the taking.
"I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread." Psm.37:25
"Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." Ecc.12:7

One last thing.  Don't give a book on "Old Age" written by anyone under 70. RB

A Great Awakening Has Stopped Snoring

Common Sense Commentary:  "Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light." Eph.5:14.

The Nobility, pyramid capstone class, of the world, had better start looking for a lower slot or a hole.  Those on the top, in charge, are going to suffer the blame for the painful problems tormenting those on the bottom of the pyramid (Nobility's word) or pile (peasant's word).  When the money printing stops, because it won't buy anything or pay the bills anymore, for Joe Twelve Pack, Mrs Six Pack and their young Packs ... who are all looking for a job, all hades is going to break loose.  A young jobless guy who has to live with instructions from Mom and rules from Dad, and can't afford car payments or even gas, and his girl just left with a government employee, and worst of all, his cell provider dumped him ... he's dangerous.  Mom and Dad might settle with food stamps and a small sack, but he wants a good job or else free gas, free food, free love, a free pad and free cell hours, to which he is accustomed ... at home or college.

So far the Obama social planners have been able to keep the lid on this boiling pot, by pumping out money, but the effectiveness of their "Quantitative Easing" is rapidly diminishing.  They've been stuffing currency in the holes, cracks and their hip pockets on this rotting, Socialistic hulk of our once proud, Ship of State, but the leakage is now beyond human remedy.  It's a bad sign when the Captain's crew begin to hide in the life-boats. Material Wealth Is Fine; Durable Wealth Is Forever

Common Sense Commentary: Wise king Solomon, probably the riches man who ever lived, experienced everything riches can buy, but in the end, he concluded that all of it, everything, except serving God, was vanity and useless. His greatest accomplish was building God's house, on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem ... and still known as Solomon's Temple. In today's money it would have cost a billion dollars to build. In the end, Solomon gave this advice... "Wilt thou set thine eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away...." Prov.23:5. "For riches are not forever...." Prov.27:24. "Riches and honor are with me; yea, durable riches and Righteousness." Prov.8:18.

I am not envious or jealous of those who are wealthier than I.  If a person earned their wealth honestly and were frugal and made wise investments, they deserve the fruit of their labors, and I respect that. If they inherited their wealth, their benefactors deserve the same, including leaving their wealth to whomever they cared to; but the recipients
deserve nothing but the inheritance itself.  If others cheated and stole to gain wealth, they deserve nothing but the full force, prosecution and penalty of the law.  That said, If you fit the "earned it" category, you have nothing to be apologetic or ashamed of and have the God given right, as His steward (manager), to do with your wealth as you please, and are answerable to nobody but God, who gave it.  He allowed you to earn it and you alone must decide how to use it. "...Remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth...." Deut.8:18.  "Both riches and honor come of thee (God)...." 1 Chr.29:12. "Every man also to whom God has given riches and wealth... this is the gift of God." Ecc.5:19.

The important thing, for the wealthy, that is so easily forgotten by them, is....

1. Don't forget who gave you the power and knowledge to get wealth. "And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied; Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth ... from the house of bondage..." Deut.8:13-14.

2. Don't put too much importance on your wealth and too little on why God empowered you to get it. "...If riches increase, set not your heart upon them." Psm.62:10.

3. Don't let the pursuit of wealth make a miserable, drunken, selfish, drug addicted crook of you.  "But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." 1 Tim.6:9-10.

4. Keep your heart on the eternal, not the temporal.    "Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.  But godliness with contentment is great gain.  For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out."  1 Tim.6:5-7.

There are many good and descent wealthy people recorded in the Bible.

1. NOAH - "Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord .... and Noah walked with God." Gen.6:8-9. Noah was obviously a fine, descent man but had to be wealthy as well. The ark, God told him to build, was mammoth ... as long as one and one half football fields from goal line to goal line, half as wide and three floors high. It contained one and a half million cubic feet of space, as much as 569 modern rail-road cars. That took a lot of man power and wealth ... which God gave Noah the knowledge and power to earn.
God used Noah to begin the whole human race over again with a new start.

2. JOB -  "There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. .... His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east." Job 1:1-3. Obviously a very wealthy man ...but he lost it all, trusted God, and regained twice the amount back. God used Job as an object lesson, to the world, of profit and loss, suffering, patience, healing, forgiveness, diligence and faithfulness.

3. ABRAHAM - "And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold." Gen.13:2
Abraham was clearly a very wealthy man and was proven and used of God to found the Jewish race through which His Son, Jesus, would come to seek and save the lost.

4. JOSEPH -  "And (Pharaoh) made (Joseph) to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt." Gen.41:43. Joseph had control over all the treasures and resources of Egypt.
He was an extremely wealthy man.  God used Joseph to save the entire family of the twelve tribes of Israel from starvation and preserve them for God's eternal plan.

5. BOAZ -  "And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz." Ruth 2:1. Boaz was used of God to be the kinsman redeemer of Ruth and they two would become ancestral grandparents
of Jesus through whom God would redeem all, who would believe on Him, to eternal life.

6. ESTHER - "Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14. Esther, as the queen of Persia and Media, had massive wealth with the king.  She was used of God to literally preserve the Jewish nation from extermination, through whom would be born the Son of God Jesus Christ.

7. JOSEPH of Arimathea - "When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:  He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered." Matt.27:57-58. Joseph was not only rich but powerful, as a ruler of the Jews. God used him to speak against the authorities, in defence of Jesus, and then, with Nicodemus, bury Jesus in his own new tomb, of solid rock,  in a garden.
 8. NICODEMUS - "There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews." John 3:1. "And there came... Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.   Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury." John 19:39-40. Like Joseph, Nicodemus was a ruler and a wealthy man. He brought a very costly hundred pounds of spices and linen in which to wrap the body of Jesus and bury him in the garden tomb of Jospeh. He too was used of God to speak up for Jesus to the authorities and set an example of sacrifice, courage and loyalty to Christ.

9. CORNELIUS - "There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,  A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway." Acts 10:1-2.  God used him to demonstrate to all the world that God is no respecter of persons, loves and will save any race, class or status of people.

The lesson here is, that it is no sin to be wealthy or to be poor.   God uses wealthy people who will yield their lives to Him, and the poor likewise.  He has done so many many times and still does.  There is no honor in being rich or poor.  The honor is in being a faithful steward and disciple of Jesus in all that you are and all that you have.  So bad mouthing the poor or the rich  exposes your ignorance of the Scriptures. There is no special reward for being poor. Grow up to maturity and sincerely say with Paul,
"Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. Phil.4:11-12.  This is a spiritually grown up Christian. RB

No, Allah Is Not God! Allah Is Everything Muslims Stand For

Common Sense Commentary: It should go without saying that Allah is not God or just another way of saying "God".  It is the Muslim way of saying it and therefore the word incorporates all of the Muslim religious, civil and physical beliefs and perversions. Things such as hacking off their opponent's heads, punishing women for everything from driving to not wearing a vail, men marrying little girls, taxing non-Muslims far higher than Muslims, slaughtering innocent people by the thousands and killing anyone they think has insulted their religion or Muhammad. That is what Allah means to those who use that name for their "god", so it is not just another way of saying "God". It is a perversion of God which we Americans or Christians do not need to punish and should not think to do so. We can punish those who attack us and leave the rest to God Himself.  It is He they have sinned against and it is He who will render their proper punishment.  He does not have to look for an opportunity to punish such religious heresy; He makes opportunity and already has all the ways at His immediate disposal in His "Ways To Punish Bag".  Be patient, stand for the truth, worship our true God, the God of the Bible, and leave those one and a half billion Muslims up to God.  He will act in His own time and in His own way. Leave it to Him.  You can be sure ... He has a plan. RB

Obama eyes 'Allah-is-God' curriculum

byJohn Griffing World Net Daily News

CSCOPE, the controversial online curriculum that taught “Allah is God” and currently is used in 80 percent of Texas school districts, has caught the attention of the Obama administration’s Department of Education.
A source in the Texas education system has told WND that Common Core operatives in the U.S. Department of Education are actively pursuing CSCOPE as a way around the Texas legislative process.
Texas is one of the few states still resisting implementation of Common Core, Obama’s national standards initiative, which many feel is a transparent attempt to nationalize education and progressively control classroom content with minimal parental oversight.
Implementation of Common Core is known to have been made a condition of school systems’ receipt of federal dollars under Obama’s “Race to the Top” program.
CSCOPE recently has come under fire for evidence of what sources claim to be radical content and secrecy. Now new information of such a radical agenda has surfaced showing CSCOPE connections to Obama mentor and self-acknowledged terror group member Bill Ayers.
WND has documented a strong link between Ayers and CSCOPE heavyweight and Common Core advocate Linda Darling-Hammond. An unrepentant terror group member (and known Obama supporter, financier, and ghost-writer), William “Bill” Ayers was part of the notorious Weather Underground which attempted to bomb the Pentagon in the seventies. After 9/11, Ayers was interviewed by the New York Times, and was quoted as saying he had “no regrets.”
Ayers gave Darling-Hammond an enthusiastic endorsement for education secretary when Obama was first elected. Ayers has worked extensively with Darling-Hammond on many of the same projects, even editing her work. Both are part of what some education experts have termed the “small schools movement,” which allegedly emphasizes “emotional” responses and output over factual mastery.
Darling-Hammond is mentioned throughout CSCOPE literature, has given innumerable lectures on behalf of CSCOPE, and was part of Obama’s educational transition team. She is a primary advocate and proponent of Common Core in Texas, and observers see the acquisition of CSCOPE by the U.S. Department of Education as a logical next step.
This scenario has alarmed those concerned about classroom content accountability. Previously, WND reported how CSCOPE lessons promote Islam, teaching conversion methods and presenting verses from the Quran that denigrate other faiths. In CSCOPE curriculum, the Boston Tea Party is likened to an act of terrorism on par with 9/11. In the wake of the Newtown massacre, the Second Amendment is portrayed as a “collective,” not an individual right, despite the Supreme Court’s recent rulings to the contrary.
The CSCOPE website has posted a response to concerns about certain lesson plans, including an extensive discussion of the Boston Tea Party. But critics say that such lessons should never have appeared in the first place.
Sources within the Texas education system recently informed WND that Wicca, thought by many to be akin to witchcraft, was being taught in CSCOPE curriculum alongside Christianity, but was removed before the news media could access it, a fact which represents one of the biggest concerns for followers of CSCOPE.
CSCOPE apparently immediately deletes controversial content once leaked, making it impossible at any one time to know exactly what students are learning and in what order. Defenders of this process say that this responsiveness to public scrutiny is a form of self-auditing. Others have said that it simply leaves parents, teachers and those in charge of curriculum oversight powerless to stop agenda-driven lesson plans and the damage the ideas therein might do to students.
WND has documented numerous instances of lessons being deleted after their use in classrooms.
When it was discovered that Islam was being given preferential status as a part of a study on the world’s major religions, CSCOPE administrators deleted the lesson plan and associated PowerPoint in the presence of two sources, leaving no trace online.
However, through available technology, documentation of this lesson plan and other such controversial content has been retained and reviewed by Texas educators and WND.
See the lesson.
In CSCOPE World History/Social Studies, Lesson 2, Unit 3 under the heading, “Classical Rome,” students are told that Christianity is a “cult,” and given a link to a BBC article saying the early Christians were “cannibals,” i.e. the Eucharist, which students are then led to conclude is the reason for Roman persecution.
See the lesson.
This lesson has since been removed, but documentation in WND’s possession confirms that the lesson existed. Critics contend that this ability to change content on a whim to evade scrutiny or accountability is a persistent risk with a system like CSCOPE. An organic curriculum – if regulated – might be advantageous, but without transparency, these types of occurrences will likely be more frequent, critics say.
Speaking with WND, Texas Sen. Dan Patrick, new chairman of the education committee, communicated his intent to hold high-profile hearings and investigate CSCOPE.
Sen. Patrick noted, “Any system where the chairman of the state board can’t get a password to explore their site in detail for six months, requires teachers to sign an agreement that could subject them to criminal penalties, and is not easily transparent to parents, needs to be closely examined by the legislature.”
When asked if he would support placing CSCOPE under state oversight and/or local school board oversight, Sen. Patrick answered carefully, explaining,
“We will make that decision after our hearings. However, I have concerns of any curriculum program that is in the majority of our school districts without some level of oversight by either the SBOE, TEA, or the legislature.”
Patrick, along with many other Republicans, supported the 2011 legislation that took power over Internet curriculum review away from the SBOE, though this provision was admittedly ill-understood in its implications and was originally intended to reduce the cost-burden to school districts in obtaining and distributing the curriculum. While reducing costs, this move also created the basis of the current controversy.
Opponents of CSCOPE, on the other hand, desire a lawsuit. They do not want to wait for hearings. As they contend, CSCOPE is already violating Texas public statutes, which require all “instructional materials” to be available to parents. CSCOPE places all primary content – apart from summaries – behind a pay wall.
Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative (TESCCC) Governing Board minutes, obtained only by Texas Public Information Act request, reveal that even the governing board in charge of CSCOPE may not be fully aware of CSCOPE content issues.
Minutes for the meetings covered show that governing board members were told by CSCOPE Executive Director Wade Labay that they will only be involved in content-related issues if “politically sensitive,” what Labay calls “’911′ type messages or those deemed critical.” In other words, in addition to the absence of state oversight, corporate oversight within CSCOPE might be lacking.
The fears of some that CSCOPE is replacing textbooks, a claim denied by Texas SBOE member Thomas Ratliff, would appear justified if governing board minutes are considered.
In addition to outlining when and under what circumstances CSCOPE would communicate with the TESCCC governing board, pending textbook alignments with Pearson, McGraw Hill, et al., were discussed and delayed with the support of governing board members. Some attendees lamented even having to align CSCOPE content with textbooks, since “the mission of CSCOPE is to change instruction in the classroom.”
TESCCC has now asked the Texas Attorney General to make its minutes exempt from public information requirements.

True Video Sums Up 2nd Amendment Right To Own Guns

Common Sense Commentary: Some people wonder why our Constitutional, Second Amendment Right to own guns is so important to those of us who defend them so
strenuously. The first reason is because our U.S. Constitution guarantees us that right. The second reason is made clear in this video of an actual incident in Tennessee, just after WWII, when brave veterans returned to their home town, which was dominated by a corrupt sheriff and his thugs who were stealing elections and abusing the citizens.
The Second Amendment is not about dealing with crooks but about citizens dealing with corrupt, abusive government.  God bless the good guys. RB

Wikipedia Speaks ...
The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights that protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, along with the rest of the Bill of Rights. The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess and carry firearms.[1]

Improving God's Word ....

... is a fool's errand.

All Scripture:

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness..." 2 Tim.3:16.

No Scripture:

"No prophecy of the scripture is of any private (one's own or exclusive) interpretation." 2 Pet.1:20.

Every scripture harmonizes with all other scripture. This is true as long as one does not resort to one of many per-versions which are not accurately translated from the Textus Receptus (received texts).  I have always preferred the King James Version (KJV), for English speakers because, though translated into Old English, it is still the most accurate to the Received Texts, and has been for four hundred years. It is not the Received Texts which need better translation or interpretation but the Old English, which is quite easily done by anyone who speaks English.  2Tim.2:15, "...Rightly dividing the word of truth" is still and always the most important aspect of Bible study. "the word of truth" is in reference to "the" Bible. "The" is  what is known as a "definite article" which means, "a singular thing" or "one of a kind".  It is perfectly unique to itself and there is no other. It is God's truth, not your or my "private" truth or opinion or dream or imagination or personal revelation. All of these pseudo "personal revelations" can't all be true because they conflict with each other. So called "personal convictions or revelations" which are unprovable in God's word, are unimportant and un-necessary, at best, and are usually very harmful. If they disagree with the Bible, they are a lie. If they agree with the Bible, we already have them, in the Bible, and have no need of repetitious confirmation.

Instead of seeking some new truth or new light, we need to do something with the eternal truth and light we already have, which God gave us in His word. As Paul said, "All the counsel of God." Acts 20:27. Jesus commissioned us, in Matt. 28:19, to preach and teach God's good news to all the world.  Not your or my good news or new truth
or your personal "private" doctrine or revelation but the good news Christ brought to earth 2000 years ago.  It hasn't changed. Everything else has, but not God. "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." Heb.13:8. God has never been surprised or learned anything.  He knew it all, forever in the past and knows it all forever in the future. He is omniscient.

Yes, there are times to discuss business, family, ideas, politics, hopes, plans and even sports, but our primary and most important message is God's word ... especially the gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ.

There are multiple lifetimes of material in the Bible which need to be preached and of which you will never run out or cover completely. So why would any Christian preach another gospel or search for something better or new to espouse? Gal.1:6   "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel."

God's word, the Holy Bible has endured the test of time and survived constant attacks for 2000 years, at least.  Why add to or subtract from or change it now? That very thing is happening right here and now, world wide, but it is a very dangerous, futile business.  "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:  "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Rev. 22:18-19.

Crime Skyrockets In Australia As Guns Destroyed

Common Sense Commentary: Let me first tell you what is happening right here in America.   The Obama Administration is in an all out attack on gun owners, not crime, in the U.S.A.  They have unlimited funds, which they can "print" at will ... and will.  They have a propaganda machine in the Main Street Media and Hollywood. This is a "last ditch" stand for Second Amendment Rights to own a gun in this country. If you think "It can't happen in America", you are dead wrong.  This same fight has been raging in Australia for years and the "bad guys"  (government) have just won the battle and are collecting civilian guns and destroying them or putting those who won't turn in their guns, in jail plus heavy fines.  If we Americans don't wake up and stop our own variety of  Liberal, anti-gunowner, terrorists, we will soon be under the heel of the only gun owners in America, our government, drug pushers, muggers, rapists psychopaths, and Muslim terrorists.  What can you do?  Take a stand for your Constitutional Rights, even if you don't own a gun.  Speak up to your friends, and in the name of Common Sense, vote.   If you wouldn't want to be an unarmed civilian, under National Socialist (Nazi) domination in Germany in the 1930's, when 7 million Jews and a million others were murdered, or in  Communist Russia and USSR, after all civilian guns were forcefully confiscated, and 30 to 60 million civilians were murdered by the Socialist government and more millions raped, robbed and savaged, you had better wake up and say "No" to these Socialist idiots right here in the USA. The video on Australia is just below, but first read what the NRA just sent out to members:

It's not about protecting children. It's not about stopping crime.

It's about banning your guns…PERIOD!

Last week, NRA sat in on a White House meeting that was sold to the public as an "open discussion" about how to improve school safety. But that was a dirty lie.

They didn't listen to gun owners' concerns…they didn't consider any real solutions on how we can keep our kids safe…instead Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and their gun ban allies in Congress only want to BLAME you, VILIFY you, BULLY you, and STRIP you of your Second Amendment freedoms.

Right now, they're steamrolling ahead with legislation that would ban your guns, register your ammunition purchases, and even force you to register the firearms you already own with Obama's anti-gun bureaucrats.

This video reveals what has already happened in Australia where the civilians believed "It could never happen in Australia" and most did nothing to stop it. It is now law.  How on earth can people be so docile and dumb as to sit by and tolerate being harnessed up to slavery? RB

Just Get A Homosexual To "Read A Pray" And Be Done With It, Barack

Common Sense Commentary:  Common Sense is now, officially,
no longer common, in our Nation's Capitol, but very uncommon,
and in fact, has become mostly unacceptable and even illegal.

If the Tea Party and Constitutional, conservative Americans
cannot quickly convert and divert the Republican Party from
walking in the Liberal shoe tracks of the Democrats, Liberty
in America is gone, gone, gone, never to be restored...... RB

Anybody But A Christian, Inauguration

From N.E. News

By Dr. Albert Mohler, Jr.

Barack Obama and those organizing his upcoming inauguration have effectively declared historic, biblical Christianity to be out of bounds.

A new chapter in America's moral revolution came Thursday as Atlanta pastor Louie Giglio withdrew from giving the benediction at President Obama's second inaugural ceremony. In a statement released to the White House and the Presidential Inaugural Committee, Giglio said that he withdrew because of the furor that emerged Wednesday after a liberal watchdog group revealed that almost 20 years ago he had preached a sermon in which he had stated that homosexuality is a sin and that the "only way out of a homosexual lifestyle … is through the healing power of Jesus."
In other words, a Christian pastor has been effectively dis invited from delivering an inaugural prayer because he believes and teaches Christian truth.

What is happening to our country after 237 years, with freedom of speech, press and religion, is like an ugly, oily, black smog settling over our beautiful homeland. RB

             What God Thinks About It

Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Romans 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Romans 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Romans 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

Romans 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

Romans 1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Romans 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Will There Be Animals In Heaven ?

Common Sense Commentary:

Concerning "life", Dr. Wikipedia says there are six different forms of life on Earth:
"A diverse array of living organisms can be found in the biosphere of Earth, and the properties common to these organisms—plants, animals, fungi, protists, archaea, and bacteria—are a carbon- and water-based cellular form with complex organization and heritable genetic information."

I do not argue with whoever is pulling the strings on Wikipedia, at least on this particular bit of information. It must be a very impressive, long list of doctorates. But since he only lists six forms of life, on Earth, I must add the one he forgot to mention .... himself. Humanity, the seventh form, is by far the most important and for whom the other six were created, by the Creator of all, for human benefit. Since I don't think Wikipedia got it's information from Him ... God, I must point out that God may, indeed, list those lower forms of life under the classification of "animals" or "plants", but certainly not "human". Since God doesn't mention them, I will assume they were not within His area of concern or He didn't want to worry us with fungus and bacteria. For simple clarity, I will only refer to animal, plant and human.

During God's work of creation ... "work?"  He actually "spoke" it all into existence when He said, "Let there be".  Anyway, during the time of earth's creation or maybe recreation, God created light, plant life, animal life and then, His climatic creation of human life, "in His own image and likeness." Before sin came, man's occupation was to "dress and keep the garden", but, evidently, without the hard labor it required after he sinned.  Originally, at that time, neither man nor animals killed or ate each other.  After man sinned, and the curse was put upon humanity, and the entire earth, even the plants and animals were ill affected by it.  Because of sin, Adam and Eve were driven from the garden, their work was made hard, child birth became difficult, plants lost their perfection, and animals, generally, became wild and self-protective.

The fact that God created a wide variety of plants and loaded many of them with delicious fruit or vegetables, and even various medicines, including aspirin, tells us that He has a very special interest in His plant kingdom.

We also know that God has concern for the welfare and life of  His animal kingdom.  "A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast."  Prov.12:10.  God demonstrated their value, to Him, by enlisting them as blood sacrifices, burnt and sin offerings, typifying, in the Old Testament, the future sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, on the cross.  Animals have an immense value to the human race in various, innumerable  ways, one of which is companionship; and in the case of our poodle, Shadow, a lot of humor. Nothing makes us laugh more. My wife, Bettie, and I, laugh at him at least a dozen times, every day, each, which is an entertainment blessing we could not pay for. He is a sweet presence in our home which we will sorely miss, when he dies.  He is getting close to that time.   I know many of you also have pets you love.

Now, let me propose a possibility, in answer to my title question, "Will there be animals in heaven ?"  First, let me emphasize ... The Revelation says, 14 times, that there are "beasts" in heaven, four of them.

If God saw fit to symbolize, and differentiate, the Old Testament Saints and New Testament Saints as twenty four elders (Rev.4:4), in heaven; the twelve names of the of the twelve tribes written on the twelve gates  (Rev.21:12), and the names of the twelve Apostles written on the twelve foundations (Rev.21:14), and if He chose to plant the tree of life, in heaven, possibly representing His entire plant kingdom, then couldn't it be that the four beasts (Rev.4:6)  are also symbolic and representative of God's animal kingdom?  I can think of no other reason "beasts", of any kind, would be in heaven when He already has angels, Old Testament Saints ("friends of the Groom"), and New Testament Saints (Bride of the Groom) His church. (Jn.3:29). So why are there"beasts" in heaven?

If, in fact, the four beasts are representative of God's animal kingdom, then it could be that you will see your pet reflected in one of those four beasts ... in some supernatural way.   Since it is not revealed exactly what these four beasts represent, my suggestion is only my own conclusion and not necessarily so.  I personally think that when birds sing, they are worshiping God and when animals do what He created them to do, before the curse tainted us all, they are worshiping God. The "four beasts" certainly do that .... and apparently, only that. Why "beasts"?

The fact that there are definitely four beasts in heaven, who worship God, has some mysterious and yet unexplained deeper meaning. I think I know what it is. RB

Here are a couple of examples of something only God could have put in animals.

This Panda and comment are from the Facebook of my friends, Flo and B.J. Cox:

Animals feel fear too. Knowing that animals feel pain and fear is enough of a reason to change the way we treat and think about them.
