Common Sense Commentary: The above two verses are taken from the "wisest man in the Old Testament", King Solomon. Prov.22:7...... And the wisest man (except Jesus) in the New Testament, the Apostle Paul. Rom.13:8. (my judgement).
Since World War II our government and citizens, as well, have been on an extremely unwise spending benge. Today, July 30, 2011, I am going to give you a brief list of our "American Debt" which has been borrowed.... all the way to Venus and Mars in violation of the wise counsel of God's Word, The Bible. Words Misused and Abused in America
Common Sense Commentary: Our son, Ron, sent me the following comment expressing his rejection of an over- worked word used so often by government, schools, churches and liberals applied to every kind of personality flaw, and character perversion, you can name..... "tolerance"....... Ron Said:
At this point in my life I've decided that my least favorite word in the English language is not 4 letters but 9 letters long. That word is "tolerance". I'm extremely tired of hearing it. My definition of tolerance is: Compromise that becomes apathy that leads to capture that spells doom and sinks principle. I suspect that compromise is one of Satan's favorite words. God save us from "tolerance". It doesn't mean, "patience".
Thank you Son for the pride you give your old Dad and for the inspiration of this blog. Here is your "least favorite" word and seven more of mine which are misused and abused until ... now, perverted.
I. Tolerance - (Does not mean Patience) "Tribulation works patience..." not Tolerance of evil or bad behaviour. The list of transgressions and perversions we are expected to be tolerant of grows longer as new ones are discovered, pronounced "Common to all" or, "Everybody does it" or, "Its only human" or, "Don't be such a legalist" or, "Except for the grace of God there go I". Yes, we are all sinners but when you are really saved, its time to get over your fear of being thought to be "Self righteous". Call sin and perversion and bad behavior by its name and avoid its corrupting influence. Tolerance has grown into compromise of truth and compromise has grown into indifference and "tolerance" of every kind of wickedness.
II. Hate Crimes - Someone explain to me why an attack or murder of a homosexual or minority person is a "Hate Crime" and somehow worse than a similar crime committed by a heartless husband and father who murders his whole family or a crime of passion like rape that ends in the murder of the victim or a "random" murder for the fun of it. It is a stupid, ridiculous law that elevates a so called "hate crime" murder over another cold blooded, senseless killing of innocence. If there is a worse murder... it is abortion ... the intentional "murder" of absolute INNOCENCE. Unlike "Civil Execution" of a murderer which is Killing the GUILTY not the innocent. Another ridiculous position to take.
III. Entitlements- A government check paid to an elderly citizen, who has paid required monthly payments into Social Security, like insurance premiums, but required by law or punishment for fifty years, is truly an "Entitlement"; or paid to a disabled veteran who was disabled in battle defending his country and being paid a pittance for it, deserves that check and is "Entitled" to it. But when the word is applied to someone, anyone who did not pay such a price for it, that U.S. Treasury check, is NOT an "Entitlement". It is "W E L F A R E" and that person is no more "Entitled" to it than any other Tax-paying "CITIZEN" in this country. Again, Call it what it is... free money extracted from the U.S. TAX-PAYERS willingly (a gift) or unwillingly (a theft). Entitlement means the person has done something worthy and deserves, is entitled to the award.
IV. Politically Correct - Hey, it is hard enough to live up to all the requirements of Holy Scripture and reasonable Civil Laws, a thousand unreasonable ones and even a lot of Social Expectations .... without piling on yet another layer of hundreds of tiny behavioral requirements smugly named, "Political Correctness". Free Speech takes another hateful attack. With it, we are whipped into line with a Pirate's cat of 900 tails called Political Correctness. I won't say more lest I violate a dozen or so of those new crimes against some body's sensitive little feelings. No, I changed my mind ... The Politically Correct Police can go to ..... infinity ... and beyond. Where is that? Its pretty far away.
V. Dysfunctional - I have heard this word used something less than a thousand times applied to the wrong people. Often against some of the best, most "balanced" parents I know ... often by their own child, who is the dysfunctional one. This accusative, insulting word is, in today's language, the word of preference to describe another person or family that isn't just exactly what the accuser thinks the accused should do or be. When that happens, it is the addicted user of the word who appears dysfunctional. It is often used to give the appearance of a "professional" or deeply perceptive pronouncement. Most often it is a simple case of violation of , "Judge not lest ye be judged".
VI. Diplomacy - We have enough "diplomacy" to last for eternity. I prefer the raw truth, it is what it is, straight-forward honesty. Just give me the facts as they are. I can deal with the reality of a matter, however unpleasant ...., but I can't make critical decisions based on "do gooder" diplomacy, exaggerations or lies which flow out of Washington and Wall Street in a flood of sweet, "don't worry be happy" words. Stop lying and calling it diplomacy or "for their own good".
VII. Equal - The idea that "all people are created equal" is true in only one sense. We are all equally human, equally loved of God before we were ever born. "For God so loved the WORLD that he gave his only begotten Son that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life." Jn.3:16. The word "world" here is referring to the "whosoever" following it. That is the only way the 7 billion people on this earth are equal. They are not even "equal" under the law. Each nation has different laws usually for different people, different judges and juries and different circumstances. Each individual on earth is different from all the rest in a thousand ways. Even so-called "identical twins" are not identical. Each of us is "individual" and uniquely different from every other human being. Even, "under God" we are different. Some people believe in Him and love Him. Others disbelieve in Him but still hate him. Strange. If God loved us equally at birth, I cannot believe He loves us equally after death when unbelievers are cast into outer darkness, and eternally separated from God in hell while believers hear Him say, "Well done thou good and faithful servant". Mt.25:21. Even each snowflake is uniquely different from all others ... but they are all snowflakes.
VIII. Rights - Everybody and his alligator has his "rights" in this country. There are gay rights, animal rights, criminal rights, women's rights ... and men's .... no, I forgot, men don't have that kind of stuff. Practically every drunk and criminal the police arrest says, "I HAVE MY RIGHTS". I've heard employees, around the water fountain ...."We have our rights". People scream at each other, "I HAVE MY RIGHTS YOU KNOW". Neither God's Law, man's law nor the Constitution grants most of these claims. The only "rights" we have here or in eternity are those granted in God's Word.

It Is Not Really A Matter Of Raising Taxes Or Cutting Spending
Common Sense Commentary: It is not really a matter of raising taxes or cutting spending. It is too late for either. If our noble leaders doubled every body's taxes and cut spending by a trillion dollars, this year not over ten years, they could not even pay the interest on what we already owe and are obligated for. Both sides are trying desperately to stop what only God could stop ... and why should he? They, with majority consent, have violated God's laws of Common Sense, Morality and Reality and the deed is done, the seed sown. Now comes the inevitable harvest. Two and Two is Four ... whether Junior likes it or not. All they have left within their power is to lay the blame on each other. The blame is primarily due the Party who is more Socialist than the other, which is the Democrats. Their share is about sixty percent, the Republicans share is about thirty percent and non-voter's share is ten percent. I'm not talking about the "Politicians", I'm talking those who elected them .... you and me. It was the philosophy of those who voted that put them in office to do what their constituency wanted done and who kept them in office to do more of it. Of course a few of those in office stole their election in Chicago or like Lyndon in Texas. My first vote was for Eisenhower but I was neutral until Lyndon Johnson when I switched to being against Democrats... and I'm a Texan. I did vote for Reagan. The rest of the time I have voted against the worst of two SOCIALISTS simply because anybody with one eye and half sense knew that Socialism ALWAYS leads to ruin .... ALWAYS . The Soviet Union, Cuba, Europe, and even China is finally moving away from Communism to Free Enterprise. They aren't there quite yet, but they have already seen what Socialism did to them ... they will not go back.
I no longer vote weak Socialism (Republican) in preference to strong Socialism (Democrat). I vote for candidates who are Strong on America, the U.S. Constitution, Bill Of Rights, Law and Order,
Moral Behavior, Smaller Government, Less Free Pablum and Individual Responsibility. I will never again vote for the lesser of two evils or against the greater of two evils. If either party can't run descent, constitutional candidates, I will let God choose our Pharaoh or Belshazzar when he wishes to punish us.
The majority of our National Leadership, in both parties, have compromised the rules (Constitution) and set the example of juvenile behavior to those under their charge ... us. They have gradually grown more and more spineless and irresponsible over the last half century. It started with small deviations from the Constitution and moral behavior. And like sin, the seed begets the tree and the tree the fruit and the fruit the seed in quantum immensity. Sin begets sin compounded.
So, to the immovable WALL, our unstoppable, downward speeding economy ... has arrived. The wall, just ahead, is the true fact of REALITY which was, thus far, unseen by Politicians and Electorate. It has always been there, at the end of the "wrong track". It is the IMMOVABLE WALL of "sowing and reaping" in Gal.6:7. "They have sown to the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind." Ho.8:7.
What ? Did you think God was making an idle threat ? This Law of the Wall was put there by God's Physics like the Law of Gravity. "For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption ...."Gal.6:8. This Wall is indeed unmovable but not unavoidable .... on the "right track".
There would have been no train wreck if we had stayed on the right Constitutional Track 50 years ago. Yes, yes, I know. Until now this journey has been quite pleasant and comfortable .... with free tickets for first class Pullman and gourmet dining .... but alas ... the WALL awaits ... our unintended destination. Once our Engineer switched to this Socialist Track, almost everyone consented. They liked the porter service, with free everything and "the scenery is so lovely this way". So those at the controls pushed the throttle faster and faster and just as we reached full speed .... IS THAT A WALL??? But, But, But, the Conductor assured us that by this SHORT CUT we would arrive in SUCCESS CITY much sooner than on that old Constitutional, Reality, Truth track. But now ... we see ahead what looks like a huge, Dead End WALL. What we can't see, beyond the wall, is the reason the wall is there.

Who's Your Daddy ?
Common Sense Commentary: Common sense is always beneficial and
in greater need than commendations, degrees, money or criticism.

A seminary professor was vacationing with his wife in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
One morning, they were eating breakfast at a little restaurant, hoping to
enjoy a quiet, family meal. While they were waiting for their food, they
noticed a distinguished looking, white-haired man moving from table to
table, visiting with the guests. The professor leaned over and whispered to
his wife, 'I hope he doesn't come over here.' But sure enough, the man did
come over to their table.
'Where are you folks from?' he asked in a friendly voice.
'Oklahoma,' they answered.
'Great to have you here in Tennessee,' the stranger said... 'What do you do
for a living?'
'I teach at a seminary,' he replied.
'Oh, so you teach preachers how to preach, do you? Well, I've got a really
great story for you.' And with that, the gentleman pulled up a chair and sat
down at the table with the couple.
The professor groaned and thought to himself, 'Great.. Just what I
need.... another preacher story!'
The man started, 'See that mountain over there? (Pointing out the restaurant
window). Not far from the base of that mountain, there was a boy born to an
unwed mother. He had a hard time growing up, because every place he went, he
was always asked the same question, 'Hey boy, who's your daddy?' Whether he
was at school, in the grocery store or drug store, people would ask the same
question, 'Who's your daddy?'
He would hide at recess and lunch time from other students.. He would avoid
going in to stores because that question hurt him so bad. 'When he was about
12 years old, a new preacher came to his church. He would always go in late
and slip out early to avoid hearing the question, 'Who's your daddy?'
But one day, the new preacher said the benediction so fast that he got
caught and had to walk out with the crowd.
Just about the time he got to the back door, the new preacher, not knowing
anything about him, put his hand on his shoulder and asked him, 'Son, who's
your daddy?'
The whole church got deathly quiet. He could feel every eye in the church
looking at him. Now everyone would finally know the answer to the question,
'Who's your daddy?'
This new preacher, though, sensed the situation around him and using
discernment that only the Holy Spirit could give, said the following to that
scared little boy.. 'Wait a minute! I know who you are! I see the family
resemblance now, You are a child of God.'
With that he patted the boy on his shoulder and said, 'Boy, you've got a
great inheritance.. Go and claim it.'
'With that, the boy smiled for the first time in a long time and walked out
the door a changed person. He was never the same again. Whenever anybody

A seminary professor was vacationing with his wife in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
One morning, they were eating breakfast at a little restaurant, hoping to
enjoy a quiet, family meal. While they were waiting for their food, they
noticed a distinguished looking, white-haired man moving from table to
table, visiting with the guests. The professor leaned over and whispered to
his wife, 'I hope he doesn't come over here.' But sure enough, the man did
come over to their table.
'Where are you folks from?' he asked in a friendly voice.
'Oklahoma,' they answered.
'Great to have you here in Tennessee,' the stranger said... 'What do you do
for a living?'
'I teach at a seminary,' he replied.
'Oh, so you teach preachers how to preach, do you? Well, I've got a really
great story for you.' And with that, the gentleman pulled up a chair and sat
down at the table with the couple.
The professor groaned and thought to himself, 'Great.. Just what I
need.... another preacher story!'
The man started, 'See that mountain over there? (Pointing out the restaurant
window). Not far from the base of that mountain, there was a boy born to an
unwed mother. He had a hard time growing up, because every place he went, he
was always asked the same question, 'Hey boy, who's your daddy?' Whether he
was at school, in the grocery store or drug store, people would ask the same
question, 'Who's your daddy?'
He would hide at recess and lunch time from other students.. He would avoid
going in to stores because that question hurt him so bad. 'When he was about
12 years old, a new preacher came to his church. He would always go in late
and slip out early to avoid hearing the question, 'Who's your daddy?'
But one day, the new preacher said the benediction so fast that he got
caught and had to walk out with the crowd.
Just about the time he got to the back door, the new preacher, not knowing
anything about him, put his hand on his shoulder and asked him, 'Son, who's
your daddy?'
The whole church got deathly quiet. He could feel every eye in the church
looking at him. Now everyone would finally know the answer to the question,
'Who's your daddy?'
This new preacher, though, sensed the situation around him and using
discernment that only the Holy Spirit could give, said the following to that
scared little boy.. 'Wait a minute! I know who you are! I see the family
resemblance now, You are a child of God.'
With that he patted the boy on his shoulder and said, 'Boy, you've got a
great inheritance.. Go and claim it.'
'With that, the boy smiled for the first time in a long time and walked out
the door a changed person. He was never the same again. Whenever anybody
asked him, 'Who's your Daddy?' he'd just tell them, 'I'm a Child of God..''

- Should this program be one of many such foreign aid programs that can be cut that do not directly benefit taxpayers?
- Does the funding of mosques, which houses an organized religion, come under the concept of “wall of separation between church and state?”
- Should the Americans United for Separation of Church and State defend their principle by calling for the Obama administration to discontinue the funding of mosques with taxpayers’ monies?

The Invisible Things Of God ... Are Clearly Seen!
Common Sense Commentary: "For the invisible things of God from the creation of the world are
clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead;
so that they are without excuse." Rom.1:20. This marvelous verse says that God has created some infinite, eternal things that are impossible for us to see with our physical eyes ... being "invisible" to human eyes and human brains. But those things may be spiritually "understood" by observing "the things he has MADE ..." even to the ultimate .... "His eternal POWER and GODHEAD" ... This being true, that God's Created Universe so "clearly" reflects the God who "made" it that we are all, "without excuse".
I.... "The invisible things of God..." TIME ... SPACE ... QUANTITY ... HIS ETERNAL POWER ... HIS ETERNAL GODHEAD. (a) Time (eternity) = Time is invisible, past, present and future. Eternity is infinite. It has no beginning and no ending. "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Gen.1:1. The heaven and earth had a beginning but not TIME and not GOD. "And God said, let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness ..." Gen.1:26. First reference to the Holy Trinity. All three, Father, Son and Holy Spirit were involved in creating man. (b) Space (into infinity) = Space is invisible. Only what is in space is visible as far as we are capable of seeing. Here on earth, we think in terms of up, down, north, west, east and south. In outer space there is no such thing. All directions are up to infinity. We point up and on the other side of the earth they point in the opposite direction as up.
(c) Quantity (the infinity of numbers or amounts) Geometrically, indefinably great in number or amount as in infinitely distant in miles, millions, billions, trillions quadrillions and so on forever... in light years of travel distance or numerically in grains of sand or stars. "The host of heaven cannot be numbered." Jer.33:22.
II... "From the creation of the world are clearly seen ...." Ever since Adam and Eve saw the first sunrise and sunset, they began to understand just a tiny bit about time and space and quantity, past and present and future. Since they first gazed into the day sky and then into the night sky, they realized just a fraction of the vastness of space. Gazing up at innumerable stars, they understood "clearly" just a glimpse of innumerable quantity. They had to know, "God did that". So, how then did they "clearly see" something of the "invisible things of God" ? ...... Read on....
III.. "By the things that God made...." The sun .... rising and setting (earth rotating), the innumerable stars, the Milky Way, the trees, the fruit with tiny seed containing innumerable descendant trees and fruit after it's own kind. If time, space and conditions allowed, that first peach tree would compound its number into infinity ... forever. They saw the perfect balance of their own bodies and all of God's creation so that they were "without excuse" when they disobeyed God concerning the tree of knowledge. They saw "clearly" and "understood by the things that God had made".
IV.. "Even his eternal power ...." Now we look even beyond the infiniteness of Time, Space and Quantity to the Infinite and Eternal Creator of these infinite things. There is an obvious law that nothing or no one can create anything greater than itself. The infinitude of our eternal Creator GOD requires the infinity of TIME, past, present and future. God's earthly revelation of himself in Jesus Christ is declared to be "Alpha and Omega, First and Last, Beginning and Ending, He who IS and WAS and IS TO COME", Timeless, Eternal, Past, Present and Future. See Rev.1:8 & 22:13. Jesus said, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." Matt.28:18. Not only is his POWER infinite in its inexhaustible Omnipotence but it is also infinite in its existence ... eternity past and eternity future into infinity.
He who IS !!! The eternally present God (YHVH) "He who IS"
V... "Even his Godhead ...." is clearly seen in his creation. The "Godhead" is simply the Holy Trinity. "There are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one." 1Jn.5:7. Clearly, He is a Triune God even as he made us "in his image and likeness".
We are a triune creation of body, mind and spirit. We do not "have" a soul, we are a soul. "God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Gen.2:7. Time, Space and Quantity are infinitely Triune even as the universe is full of triune creations, a reflection of their infinite triune Creator.
VI.. "So that they are without excuse ...." God has so created the world and universe, that anyone who observes it, with an open mind, will be compelled by what he sees, to seek its Creator God and is left with no excuse if he doesn't. "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Jer.29:13
"The heavens DECLARE the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork." Psm.19:1.
"The heavens DECLARE his righteousness (rightness) and ALL the people SEE his glory." Psm.98:6. ...... "So that they are without excuse..." Rom.1:20.

Illogical Logic Of Liberals

Find yourself in these five different situations:
1. Your beloved family dog jumps out of your boat and is drowning. Your loud mouthed, ACLU neighbor is laughing so hard, he falls out of his boat, can't swim and is waving his hand trying to get your attention. Which one do you rescue? Liberal Answer = "My sweet little poodle, Poodie, is Homo Sapienish too."
Conservative Answer = "Dogs can't be 'Homo' Stupid. I would wave back at old Loud Mouth, pull my pooch from the lake and check on Loud Mouth. If he is still waving, I would wave back again .... and head for home."
2. You have a flight reservation. The flight is over booked. There are two passengers without a seat; one is a very pregnant young woman with a babe in arms and the other is Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi. To which do you give your seat? Liberal Answer = "Women finally have their Civil Rights and are now Equal with any man ... so they can both wait for the next plane as well as I could. Besides, I have an important date with another delicious, cross dressing Lesbian in San Francisco. Congressperson Pelose won't mind; she loves, hee hee, us Gay Priders.
Conservative Answer = "Give the seat to that poor little mother, of course. Anyway, I've got a lot of reading to catch up on and besides, I've been wanting to ask
Congresshuman Pelosi how she got to be such a spoiled, prima donna nut job and why she isn't flying her 757 back to Frisco today. I think God arraigned this opportunity.
3. The homes of two very different acquaintances, of yours, are on fire, on your street. One is a cussing, belligerent, Union Boss and the other is one of those pesky Bible Believing Christians who is always trying to get you to go to his church and giving you literature. To which do you go with your large, commercial, fire extinguisher? Liberal Answer = "What did that Jesus Freak ever do for me? I would help the Union Guy. He thinks like I do.
Conservative Answer = " I would go to the fire that was threatening other homes ... especially if it was mine."
4. You are late for another flight but nature is also urgently calling ... now screaming threateningly, "NOW"!!! Do you keep running for your plane or stop at the restroom ? Liberal Answer = "I can go on the plane, I can go on the plane." Twenty minutes later, the plane is taxieing down the runway. He IS on the plane and he does go on the plane... seat belt buckled and the stewardess holding him down with one hand and her nose with the other. He is screaming at her, "This is all your fault, I'm going to sue, I have my rights, I have friends in the White House, you haven't heard the last of me you slut gut *&%$#@.
Conservative Answer = "First, obey Mother Nature. Then book the next flight, call my sweetie, have a nice relaxing meal, and catch up on my computer work. A very productive day.
5. You are a U.S. Senator and you must decide between two decisions to balance the National Budget.
(a). Raise the taxes of productive, job creating businesses which are struggling to survive and which already pay 80% of all tax revenues but pass the cost on to their customers ...you and me. (b). Cut wasteful Government spending and unnecessary Government jobs. Liberal Answer = Raise taxes on those greedy businesses and churches to where they pay their fair share. Just don't start taxing me.
Conservative Answer = "Cut the billions and trillions in waste and unnecessary expenditures. Cut all pork out of every bill, stop Congressmen from financing pet projects, stop cheating recipients of welfare and foodstamps, eliminate the tens of thousands of unnecessary federal jobs, reduce the pay-scale on all Government jobs to the same level as equivalent jobs in the public sector, stop sending foreign aid to any country especially our enemies like Egypt, the Saudies and Pakistan. bring all our troops home except where there is a direct threat to our own nation. Half of the adults in this country pay no income tax. Tax every dollar earned at ten percent. Tax $1.00 = 10 cents, $100 = $10. Tax $1000 = $100. Tax $100,000 = $10,000. That is called a tithe. If its good enough for God, its good enough for our government.

Throw Cowardly Caution To The Wind, Governor Felix
Common Sense Commentary: When the Apostle Paul was being falsely accused and prosecuted for preaching Jesus, he stood before Governor Felix to answer the false charges and ... preached Jesus to him too." "And as he (Paul) reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgement to come, Felix trembled, and answered, go thy way for this time; when I have a more convenient season, I will call for thee." Acts 24:25. Paul, courageous in his truth telling, could have answered, "Throw your cowardly caution to the wind, Governor Felix, your eternal soul is at stake."
My primary caution to you today is, to the non-Christian, Throw your fearful caution to the wind, Felix, your eternal soul is at stake. Go to God in faith and repentance and accept Christ as YOUR Savior.
My second caution to Americans is, Throw your fearful caution to the wind, Felix, your livelihood, family, future and country are at stake. And don't tell me a preacher shouldn't comment on politics. I didn't give up my citizenship or manhood when I was called to preach Jesus. Anyway, almost every political issue has "Moral" and most often, "Spiritual or Wicked" roots.
Paul was being drug through "Political Courts" and accused of causing political rebellion. His defence included an appeal to Caesar's Court, a political court. He also quoted Roman Law in his defense. Jesus, Himself, spoke to political questions many times. So, Throw your fearful caution, of speaking out against the political perversion of our Constitution, to the wind, Felix, your freedom and country are being lost.

When peace is taken away from peaceful people, war inevitably, eventually explodes into being until the culprits are cast out or killed and peace is restored. I think that is why that scripture lists war first. God spoke through His prophet and said, "To whom shall I speak, and give warning .... The word of the Lord is unto them a reproach .... I am full of fury .... Their houses shall be turned unto others .... for from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given unto covetousness .... every one dealeth falsely .... (they have dealt with this evil sickness by) saying peace, peace, when THERE IS NO PEACE.... Were they ashamed ? NO, they were not at all ashamed .... They shall be cast down saith the LORD ....Stand ye .... and see and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk ye in it ...."
Here is my honest opinion on two political propositions:
1. How far are we from a revolution? My Answer .... Our "last minute" supply chain for our grocery stores, in these modern times, in the U.S., puts us about seven or eight lost meals from revolution. The inclusion of "give us this day our daily bread" in the Lord's prayer had a much, much more important meaning than we are able to comprehend today with large, modern Super Markets within walking distance in every city and town in our country. Even free food and money are abundant here ... but not for long. In Bible days and early, pioneer days in America, the people had no grocery stores of any kind and had to scratch every bite of food from the soil or trade valuable posessions for it. When they prayed to God for daily bread, they were not expecting God to drop it like manna from heaven. They knew they had to find the seed, plant it in fertil soil, water it, dig out the weeds, keep the rabbits, deer and neighbors from stealing it at night, and nurse it through droughts, insects, birds and disease if they were not to starve to death on a DAILY basis. Most of them had just one occupation ....surviving ....which was, 99% of the time, gardening or farming. It was a "daily", not week or monthly, survival problem. There are a multitude of things, showing up on the "news radar screen" that could halt this new, " Last Minute" (daily) supply of our grocery food chain. We may understand the "Lord's Prayer" much better, sooner than you think.
The seed and root of our national delusion, which we convinced the whole world that is works, is the big
Liberal Lie of a free lunch multiplied by a thousand billion. Jesus said, "...The devil is a liar and the father of it ...." Jn.8:44. It was Satan who first lied to men and inspired Liberal Politicians to violate all the common sense rules of life and Holy Scripture as well, paying off millions of people to have a housefull of illigimate babies for money and those not willing to work or too fat or lazy to work, with free everything. In league with the Liberal Politicians, Satan has created a system to destroy self reliance, self respect, and accountability and replaced it with self indulgence of booze, food, drugs and greed.
2. My second political observation is this. If inflexability is a virtue to President Obama, the defect of that "virtue" is self-righteous obstenance. If Socialism works, why has it failed in China, Russia, Soviet Union, the "Common Market Nations", all of the European nations, Cuba, and a dozen other countries. It is Socialism which has now brought our country to its present state. May God have mercy on our souls. I thank Him, Jesus is coming soon .... in the MEAN time, as old Benjamin Franklin said of a colligue, "Here comes the orator ... with his flood of words, and his drop of reason." I didn't give up my citizenship or manhood when I was called to preach Jesus. Anyway, almost every political issue has "Moral" and most often, "Spiritual or Wicked" roots.
Paul was being drug through "Political Courts" and accused of causing political rebellion. His defence included an appeal to Caesar's Court, a political court. He also quoted Roman Law in his defense. Jesus, Himself, spoke to political questions many times. ATTENTION Congress, Bernanke and Your Majesty !
Common Sense Commentary: Deut. 25:15 "But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee." In this first of God's commands for honesty in "weights and measures", given in 1451 BC, He was establishing the rules of buying and selling in the commerce of exchange of things of value. This was extremely important since God knew that fallen human nature was inclined to fudge a little (steal) from those they bartered or traded with. In those days, vegetables, meat and grain were exchanged like money. These weights and measures were soon simplified by the minting of coins of certain weights to reflect their value as compared to a certain amount of grain or whatever. This led to the minting of one ounce, half ounce and quarter ounce gold and silver coins which in turn finally transitioned into paper, gold and silver certificates to simplify exchange so they didn't have to carry a bunch of gold and silver coins around. God said in the next verse of Deut. that anyone who violated this rule by tampering with the true, legal value of people's money was "an abomination unto the Lord" and those who were honest in these rules, that their "days would be lengthened". This was so important to God because a persons grain, vegetables, wool and meat animals represented their time, labor, ability, and diligence. In other words, their LIFE. God has much to say about honest wages and honest money for that reason. It was, of course, politicians who did away with gold and silver certificates because it limited them in how much money they could print up backed by real gold and silver in the vault.
Now look what an unrepairable economic mess they have made by not obeying God's "Rules for money". I have said several times on this blog that our government only has two options with which to deal with the financial/economic problems they have created in this country. The problem is by now obvious to anyone who can read. Massive, Unpayable Debt is the problem. "Massive" means 14.6 Trillion dollars in actual debt borrowed from our citizens and other nations by exchanging green, printed, beautiful Treasury Bonds, earning interest, for their money. That doesn't count the common estimates of approximately 100 Trillion dollars in guaranteed Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, Food Stamps, Unemployment, Home Loans, Government Retirement Debts and so on.
The fact is, we cannot even pay the interest on the measly 14.6 Trillion (14.6 Thousand Billion).
This is the main reason the politicians don't want the interest on that to go up by raising the interest rate. They are frantically trying to hold it down.
In reference to this gigantic debt, I have said they only have two options .... DEFAULT (refuse to repay the debt as Iceland did) or just PRINT up another 14.6 Trillion in dollars, load it up on a hundred or so container ships and send "Paid In Full" statements for everybody on earth to sign. Either way our brilliant Congress and President decide will destroy the buying power of the dollar and ruin our credit which is already falling like a burned out sky rocket. The fallout will be equally devastating to our already ruined economy. Both choices lead to a Greater Depression than 1929.
A third choice occurred to me this week. It would be the best option of the three. What is it? Re- monetize gold and silver as money which it has already been for 6000 years until a few years ago. Forty one years ago you could take a $100 dollar bill to the bank and exchange it for silver at the going rate. "Silver Certificate" was printed right on the bill. That fact limited the amount of currency the Federal Reserve could print to the amount of silver in the vaults. Gone With The Wind.
The only problem with this option is, our government has sold the thousands of tons of strategic silver we had in reserve into the electronics, hi-tech and other industries and we have no more silver reserves. Our national gold reserves haven't been audited in 30 or 40 years but they claim to still have about 8000 tons of gold in reserve. If that is true, just to pay our 14.6 Trillion dollar debt, each ounce would have to be worth $70,000. It has risen several hundred percent in the last ten years to nearly $1,600 per ounce from $250. Well, now that I've typed my idea, that one won't work either.
Pr 16:11 "A just weight and balance are the LORD’S: all the weights of the bag are his work."If it is His Work ..... it is HOLY WORK. That is why I am compelled to cover it here. People's money represents whatever amount of their time, talents, labor and diligence they GAVE OF THEMSELVES to earn that money. So it cost them part of their lives in exchange for it. God is concerned with people's welfare. Politicians, hear this. Do not steal people's savings and the value of their money with inflation .... or deflation for that matter. God spoke to that subject.

Something Huge And Prophetic Is Rapidly Unfolding On Earth
Common Sense Commentary:
Since I retired from the pastorate nineteen years ago, I have read, online, literally tens of thousands of articles, statistics, reports, financial and economic information while simultaneously comparing world and national events with prophecy and Scripture in general. The bottom line of my conclusions is short and simple: The foretelling and forthtelling (prophecy) in God's Word is coming to pass with increasing speed ... as a bus going down a steep hill with no brakes and a jammed accelerator. I think we are living near the end of the dispensation of the Church Age. Beginning with the Apostles there are seven periods within the Church Age. The last of which is the Laodicean "luke warm" church period. Read about it in Rev.3:14-22 and you will see the average church at this time in history. The very next verse, Rev.4:1, at the end of the Church Age, John says, "After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in Heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were a trumpet talking to me: which said, come up here...." This parallels the timing in 1Thess.4:16 of the end of the church age followed immediately by the sound of the trumpet, the shout of the Archangel, Christ's return to Resurrect true Christians and their Rapture up into Heaven. This perfect parallel is no accident. The type is too similar to the event.
The amazing, myriad, of unbelievable occurrences in the world today remind me of my first of many tours of the Holy Land. Arriving there, for the first time, in 1954 just six years after the re-establishment of the nation of Israel, I was awe struck into a spiritual awakening. As we left for Jerusalem, we saw working camels, Bedouins dressed much like Bible days, herds of sheep and a thousand sights so typical of the ancient past. I flew out of and through modern cities with modern people in a modern airliner into the extremely small and antiquated nation of Israel. Almost all of the Biblical names of rivers, streams, cities, mountains, lake and sea were still there. In Texas these things are often separated by 800 or 900 miles. Canutilla in west Texas to Texarkana in northeast Texas is over 800 road miles. Brownsville in south Texas to the far northwest corner near Texline is nearly 900 road miles. But in Israel, everything is so close together that it seems like an ancient, unchanged, holy stage designed by our Creator to "show and tell" in easily understood reality, the life of Christ. It was not like a Hollywood movie set. It was simply "real", an unstaged stage set in a tiny but perfect, chosen spot of earth surrounded by two seas and a sea of enemy states of nearly two billion Muslims. This arrangement could only have been devised by and for the purposes of God. There is no place on earth remotely similar to the Holy Land. I have been on every continent but Antarctica and Australia. Jerusalem is divided by three major religions of the world, Judaism, Christianity and Mohammedanism. All believe it to be a Holy City for very different reasons. There is no other.
This indescribable awakening in my soul in 1954 is building up again in a crescendo of events unfolding in our country, the world, the Muslim states, the Holy Land and Israel today. The news is like paraphrased prophecy repeated in secular language. The prophecies I refer to were given over 2000 years ago. This bus load of prophecy began to move in 1948 with the beginning again of a new nation of Israel .... a prophecy fulfilled. It rolled slowly forward but gaining speed. Prophetic events were more and more coming to pass. Faster and faster prophecy moved across the earth. Now, it has suddenly exploded in speed and danger.
The attention of the world has been focused primarily on Israel, Arab lands and the Holy Land since 1948. Remember, Israel is a plot of rocky ground about the size of the "eye" of a ten foot tall 1800 pound Kodiak Grizzly Bear surrounding the eye. Israel is the eye in size and the 41 Muslim nations within 3000 miles of it is the Grizzly. Five of these nations are immediately surrounding Israel which is backed up to the Mediterranean Sea with no where to go and nothing to do but defend themselves to the death. Next year (2012), there will be two Billion Muslims in the world. That is 2000 X 2000 X 2000 or 2000 Million Muslims, nearly one of every four people on earth. Ninety eight percent of those are within 3000 miles of Israel but mostly closer. That is 1,900,000,000 Muslims surrounding Israel which has less than 6 million Jews and 2 million Muslims. That means there are 317 Muslims near Israel for each Jew in Israel. There are few to no Jews living in Muslim countries but one of every four people in Israel is a Muslim. So, how is it possible for Israel to defend itself attack after attack and survive? Especially with 2 Million Muslims living in Israel whose loyalty is not with Israel.
If you had been watching the Watts riot in L.A. when a huge mob jerked an innocent truck driver out of his truck and beat and kicked him nearly to death, whose side would you be on? If you were witnessing a fight between 317 Muslims against 1 Jew, whose side would you be on? Who would you expect to lose that fight? If you said, "That one Jew", you would be wrong. Israel has no place to retreat and they won't. They can't. They MUST stand, counter attack and defeat such an enemy or they all die. They cannot afford to give ground. They must win and they will use atomic weapons if they are losing. It's either that or the end of their nation and death of their people. You see, that tiny country and that one surrounded, besieged Jew is not alone even if their only friend (USA) walks away and leaves them to their fate. They are not alone. God is with them and one man and GOD is a majority which cannot lose. Don't overlook the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. They will see the truth in the last days and accept Jesus Christ as their Messiah and Savior. Pray for Israel.

The Path From Parables To Perfect, Permanent Peace... Is Plain
Common Sense Commentary:
When a child first goes to school he thinks 1+2 is a big problem. The teacher uses simple "parables" to teach him. "Momma had one apple and Daddy had two; how many apples did ...." When the child reaches a more mature age, the teacher speaks more "plainly" and directly to the point. Even so, our teacher (Master) spoke to his disciples in "Parables" right up to their graduation from "Elementary" School things. Then he spoke "plainly" to them of our Heavenly Father, of his own crucifixion, resurrection and departure back to Heaven (Jn.16:25). And so it is with God's Christian education today. A new Christian is a babe and cannot endure the "strong meat" of God's Word and requires the "sincere milk" and simple, Elementary things of Scripture ... in "parables" (Heb.5:12-14).
Christian maturity is quite a long, painful process and includes bouts of misinterpretation, misunderstanding and a measured amount of tribulation as well. But if the the weak little believer learns the "patience" (endurance) which "tribulation" teaches and keeps coming back to God's Christian School Of Hard Knocks, he will learn, grow mature, endure with patience and finally rejoice in those fires of trial (Rom.5:3).
This is what Jesus was teaching his new Christian disciples in John 16 which I referenced above. To sum up, in paraphrase, this chapter, Jesus said, The time has arrived when "I go my way to Him that sent me" ( v.5). There are so many things you need to know but I won't be here to teach you, and besides, you cannot understand them yet (v.12). But when I am gone and the "Spirit of Truth is come, he will guide you into all truth" (v.12). Then some of his disciples whispered among themselves, "What is he talking about" (v.17). Then Jesus said, "In that day ye shall ask ME nothing" but "Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in MY NAME, He will give it to you" (v.23). "These things have I spoken to you in PROVERBS: but the time cometh when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall show you PLAINLY of the Father" (v.25). "Behold the hour cometh, yea, is now come ...." (v.32). "These things I have spoken unto you, that IN ME ye might have PEACE. In the world you SHALL HAVE TRIBULATION: but be of good cheer, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD" (v.33). In other words, "You will suffer with the rest of the world and often more, but if you will trust in me and obey my words, you will have perfect, permanent Peace and no more need of "proverbs" but direct, "plain" communication with God the Father.

No man or pain or experience or devil can take that peace from us (Jn.16:22). Only YOU can cause the loss of His Peace ....when you cease to listen to the "Spirit of Peace" and cease to walk with Jesus.
My friends, more tribulations are coming soon but we have nothing to fear and no right to be depressed or to quit on Jesus. May your spirit and mind rest in Him whatever befalls our country and us.

When a child first goes to school he thinks 1+2 is a big problem. The teacher uses simple "parables" to teach him. "Momma had one apple and Daddy had two; how many apples did ...." When the child reaches a more mature age, the teacher speaks more "plainly" and directly to the point. Even so, our teacher (Master) spoke to his disciples in "Parables" right up to their graduation from "Elementary" School things. Then he spoke "plainly" to them of our Heavenly Father, of his own crucifixion, resurrection and departure back to Heaven (Jn.16:25). And so it is with God's Christian education today. A new Christian is a babe and cannot endure the "strong meat" of God's Word and requires the "sincere milk" and simple, Elementary things of Scripture ... in "parables" (Heb.5:12-14).
Christian maturity is quite a long, painful process and includes bouts of misinterpretation, misunderstanding and a measured amount of tribulation as well. But if the the weak little believer learns the "patience" (endurance) which "tribulation" teaches and keeps coming back to God's Christian School Of Hard Knocks, he will learn, grow mature, endure with patience and finally rejoice in those fires of trial (Rom.5:3).
This is what Jesus was teaching his new Christian disciples in John 16 which I referenced above. To sum up, in paraphrase, this chapter, Jesus said, The time has arrived when "I go my way to Him that sent me" ( v.5). Smart Enough To Get Elected But Not Wise Enough To Rule
Common Sense Commentary:
When I was a boy I read a story something like this: Once upon a time in Fairhaven, Taxachusetts a man and his wife had four children, two boys and two girls. they also had two cars and lived on a hill. The husband was over six feet tall and his wife was under five feet. One day the four children were arguing about whose turn it was to carry out the trash. Their parents told them to vote on whose turn it was. The two boys voted each for one of their sisters and the girls each for one of their brothers. Now the argument turned to pushing and slapping. The father intervened in favor of the boys and the mother in favor of the girls. Soon they too were pushing and slapping. The husband left and drove away cursing, in his blue car. His wife followed in her red car and bumped him in the rear. He wheeled around and smashed her car head on. They were both arrested and fined for reckless driving and assault with a deadly weapon. Divorce followed.
The duly elected City Council convened a meeting to pass a law which would prevent such things from happening in their fair city. A motion was made and passed that it was no longer legal to live on a hill if you owned two cars and had two boys and two girls. Another motion passed that children could no longer take out the trash. Still another law was passed that it was now illegal for a tall man to marry a short woman. And yet another law passed that arguing children could be charged with assault and battery. And just to make sure their town didn't suffer anymore arguing children, they passed a law that brothers and sisters could not vote on anything unless there was at least one more of one than the other. To avoid further such incidents, they also made it illegal to curse in a car when alone. Then the honorable Council, to send a strong message, voted unanimously that any family which had one red and one blue car, if convicted, would be sentenced to ten to twenty years in the county jail.
Moral to the story? Too much Government interference, too much bureaucracy, too many stupid laws, too many Government employees, too many taxes, too many duly elected politicians, and just leave us alone and do your main job .... protecting us not ruling over us. I lied. I didn't read it, but I thought it. Maybe it was a bad dream.

It was a national mystery, in all the papers, "WHY IS FAIRHAVEN DYING?" The Fairhaven City Council Big Wigs were astonished and angry, that the city's businesses were all moving off-shore and the citizens with high intelligence were moving to Texas. They were left with no businesses, no jobs, high taxes, and everybody still living there ... on food stamps and Federal welfare. Naturally they rallied on Main Street and marched on City Hall for increases in both while shouting in unison, "Fair ain't fair no more in Fairhaven".
Moral to the story? "The Lips Of A Fool ....The End Of His Talk is Mischievious Madness"
Common Sense Commentary:
"Let thy words be few (and true) ... for a dream cometh (comes true) through the multitude of BUSINESS; and a fools voice is known by multitude of WORDS. When thou vowest a vow.... pay it." Ecc.5:2-4.
Not every "flowers and violins" romantic, promise maker is a promise keeper or a good president or husband. But, every HONEST, DEPENDABLE, CARING, HARDWORKING man ... of few words IS a PROMISE KEEPER and therefore, a good man and a good husband.
Hitler and Mussolini were effective, dynamic speakers of many words. They promised the moon and swooned a lot of woman and stirred up millions of men with their multitudinous words. Many a false prophet could convince the masses of people... "that moon is made of green cheese" and swooned those same "silly women". "For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women...." II Tim.3:6.
It was a "multitude of words" and promises that elected President Obama not a "multitude of business" or a multitude of positive accomplishments. He had zero business experience and a multitude of negative accomplishments ... but a very convincing and effective way of speaking.
"The lips of a fool.... the beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness: and the end of his talk is mischievous madness." Ecc.10:13. President Obama has "progressed" from his 2008 "beginning of words of .... foolishness" to this "end of his talk ....mischievous madness." His voluminous promises are hollow and his only real action is that of a radical, Liberal, community organizer not a president. I predict that five years from now, history will record his presidency as the "mischievous madness" that brought America down.
If you look closely, you will see the dark stormy clouds of a long, bitter Presidential Campaign forming on the horizon. This old West Texan remembers what sensible people do just before the tornadoes hit with high winds, lightening and heavy rain .... take your valuables and head for the cellar ... with a blanket
around your shoulders and a prayer on your lips.

Observations From Just Outside The Asylum
Uncommon Sense Commentary:
This is your reporter from the news desk of Uncommon Sense Commentary, in Washington, with my
observations from just outside the asylum. Today there was an attempted breakout, by doctors and nurses, which was quickly put down by inmates with fire hoses and table legs. We can see the pleading faces of medical staff, pressed against the infamous bars on each floor of the halls of Congress and the Whitish House. We have learned that the newly organized (IOU) "Inmates Offended Union" is demanding relief from those embarrassing, restrictive and ugly iron bars which are unsightly, dangerous, and not covered by medicaid. They also want newer plasma TVs, Select Comfort mattresses, and an Olympic sized pool with saunas. Warden Straightlace has pleaded with the IOU leadership to live up to their previous agreements when they were granted free beer, marijuana and carpet last month, but this IS a democracy you know.
Well for all you blue noses out there, inmates do have their civil servant's civil rights. So, I suggest we give them that larger, deeper pool with fifty gallons of cute little baby moccasins and alligators to entertain them and saunas with external safety locks and 6000 quality volts of heat. After all, we must keep our extravagant, spendthrift Congress and Whitish House feeling superior and worthy of our acclaim.

4th of July history lesson
Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of
Independence?
Five signers were captured by the British as traitors,and tortured before they
died.
Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons serving in the
Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured.
Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary
War.
They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred
honor.
What kind of men were they?
Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants, nine were farmers
and large plantation owners;
men of means, well educated, but they signed the Declaration of Independence
knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured.
Carter Braxton of Virginia, a we althy planter and trader, saw his ships swept
from the seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his
debts, and died in rags.
Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his
family almost constantly. He served in the Congress without pay, and his family
was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his
reward.
Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton,
Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton.
At the battle of Yorktown , Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that the British General
Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson
home for his headquarters. He quietly urged General George Washington to open
fire. The home was destroyed,
and Nelson died bankrupt.
Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife,
and she died within a few months.
John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children
fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more
than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead
and his children vanished.
So, take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July holiday and silently
thank these patriots. It's not much to ask for the price they paid.
Remember: Freedom is never free! Freedom is not free! Freedom has a price each of us must pay ... Stand up, speak out, pay the price and fight if you must against those who would take our freedoms away or corrupt them.
