Common Sense Commentary: The above two verses are taken from the "wisest man in the Old Testament", King Solomon. Prov.22:7...... And the wisest man (except Jesus) in the New Testament, the Apostle Paul. Rom.13:8. (my judgement).

Since World War II our government and citizens, as well, have been on an extremely unwise spending benge. Today, July 30, 2011, I am going to give you a brief list of our "American Debt" which has been borrowed.... all the way to Venus and Mars in violation of the wise counsel of God's Word, The Bible. You can check out these numbers online.  Google "U.S. Debt Clock: Real Time".  The numbers below are as of this moment ... as I type this page. 

U.S. Federal Debt .............. $14.3 Trillion
( Borrowed and spent.  Owed to U.S. & Foreign Bondholders)

U.S. Fed. Debt Ceiling ....... $14.3 Trillion
( 2011 GovSpending  reached the Debt Ceiling in first 7 months)

U.S. Fed. 2011 Spending to date ..$3.6 Trillion

U.S. Fed. Tax Revenues to date...$2.2 Trillion

U.S. Fed. Spending Deficit to date $1.4 Trillion 

Your Share of U.S. Fed. Debt ...... $46,666.
(Every man, woman and child in U.S. owes this share)

Each U.S. Taxpayer's share of
Fed. Debt................................. $130,000.
(Each of the 50% of Americans who pay taxes owes this)
(So you who pay taxes must carry the other 50% who don't)

U.S. Population ..................312 Million.

U.S. Unemployed (Official num.)... 14 Million

 U.S. Unemployed (Actual num.)...  25 Million

these other debts which we the........
people owe in contracted and .........
committed obligations by the Fed:

1. All of the so-called "Entitlements"
Federal commitments such as.........

another $100  Trillion plus.

$3.7 Trillion plus. (You owe a share) 

3.Citizen's Personal Debts total....
$16 Trillion (Almost all of us included)

The Prophet Isaiah, inspired of God, prophesied, "Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
And it shall be ... as with the lender, so with the borrower... The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word."  Isa.24:1-3   So be it! RB
