When Fear Of Men Consumes You ... Reverencing God Will Restore You To His Use

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Tim.1:7.

Moses taught Joshua and the people of God that there would be times in their lives when it appeared their enemies were about to conquer them, re-enslave them and even kill them.  Those same fears plague God's people today and cause them to be anxious, consumed by doubt and fearful unto silence.

"And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life." Deut. 28:66

Such fear neutralizes strong people's ability to rise up against such evil men and fight them with faith and courage to defeat the evil which vile men use to control others and harness them up to false causes.

"In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see." Deut. 28:67

When you find yourself in that kind of situation, turn to our God, seek His forgiveness, His presence and His power.  Trust him, that He is with you and will not fail to take you through the fires of hell safely and will never forsake you to the wicked.

"Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." Deut. 31:6

So listen to God's word as you approach your turn to face the horrors of Satan's hatred, lies, and cruelty in the Battle Of The Ages.  God, in you, will give peace where terror resides.

"....Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them." Deut. 20:8.

But, if you cannot yield your fear and faintheartedness to God, and speak and show courage and hope to your compatriots, but are negative and  show only fear, take off the uniform of Christian soldiers, and remove yourself from those who volunteer their good names, their fortunes and their lives to the cause of freedom. Lest you discourage them and hinder the cause of Christ. 

"And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren's heart faint as well as his heart." Deut. 20:8

If you can, by God's help, follow His Holy Word to fear only "THE LORD THY GOD", then join His  cause in this continuing Battle Of The Ages and fight the present day evil in our land.  Thus you will honor His glorious and fearful name.

"If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, The Lord Thy God;" Deut. 28:58

Doing God's will requires first "hearing" it and fearing Him more that evil men.  Your total commitment to God, His word and His battle against evil will scare the evil among us and set them up for defeat.

"And those which remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil among you." Deut.19:20

Joshua heard these truths God gave Moses and internalized them to make him the General he became. All the nation of Israel saw his absolute love and commitment to their God and they feared Him when they saw God manifested in Joshua. So they feared God's man Joshua as they had feared God's man Moses.

"On that day the Lord magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life."  Josh.4:14

Their fear of Joshua was actually the fear of God's mighty hand working through Joshua.

"That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the Lord, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the Lord your God for ever."  Josh. 4:24

So now the people were prepared for war against the enemies of God and of their nation, and they arose up with courage and holy commitment to God in the conquering of a city state where the evil enemy lived under corrupt and wicked leaders. We call them Mayors and Governors.

"And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land."  Josh.8:1

In either case, each of these two branches of Government, Executive and Legislative, have done their legal, Constitutional mandate .  If the opposition does not approve of the Senate, majority vote, they have the Constitutional right to take the issue before the third branch of Government, the Judicial, for redress.  The case may go all the way to the Court of last resort, the Supreme Court.  Our System of Government, established by our Founding Fathers, wisely laid into the Foundational Law, three equal branches to hold each other in line with the Constitution. Ginsburg in 2016: President’s ‘Power’ to Fill SCOTUS for ‘Four Years, Not Three Years’

The late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg argued in 2016 that the United States Senate should respect that a president’s constitutional power is for “four years, not three years,” when considering Supreme Court appointments.

Ginsburg, whose passing last week has created a standoff between Republicans and Democrats over who should fill her vacant Supreme Court post, was asked while giving an address to the Georgetown University Law Center if there were any “constitutional arguments that would prevent” a president from a filling a seat on the nation’s highest court during an election year. The question, in particular, was posed in the context of then-President Barack Obama nominating Circuit Court Judge Merrick Garland to replace Anton Scalia, a long-serving conservative jurist.

“As you know, the president has the authority to name appointees to the Supreme Court, but he has to do so with the advice and consent of the Senate,” Ginsburg responded. And if the Senate doesn’t act, as this current Senate is not acting, what can be done about it?”

The justice proceeded to argue that although there was likely no legal remedy to force the Senate Republicans to act on Garland’s nomination, she hoped “cooler heads will prevail” given the constitutional powers granted to the executive branch.

“The president is elected for four years, not three years,” she added. “So the power that he has in year three continues into year four, and maybe some members of the Senate will wake up and appreciate that that’s how it should be.”

Ginsburg’s comments to the Georgetown audience were similar to ones the justice had made in July of that year when asked if the Senate had an “obligation to assess” Garland’s nomination.

“That’s their job,” the justice told the New York Times. “There’s nothing in the Constitution that says the president stops being president in his last year.”

What Role Will Crypto Play During "The Great Reset"?

The global economic transformation now faces the main question: What to choose - centralization or decentralization?

A global pandemic, massive and worldwide protests, job automation, environmental issues and geopolitical tensions are just a few of the challenges facing humanity today. Amid the chaos, keystone global institutions and bureaucrats have openly discussed the present day as an opportunity to remake the world. “The Great Reset,” as the plan has been called, represents a radical initiative by world leaders — many of whom are unelected — to transform the global economy. 

The World Economic Forum, for instance, claims there is an “urgent need” for “global stakeholders” to manage the direct consequences of what the International Monetary Fund has called “the Great Lockdown,” referring to the quarantines and social distancing practices implemented to contain the pandemic. At a WEF meeting in early June, the world’s most powerful business leaders, government officials and activists first announced the proposal to reset the global economy in the aftermath of the COVID-19 lockdown. 

The WEF sees a “unique window of opportunity to shape the recovery.” The Great Reset will inform the “future state of global relations, the direction of national economies, the priorities of societies, the nature of business models and the management of the global commons.” In short, the Great Reset represents a new social contract for the world. The WEF also stated: 

“The inconsistencies, inadequacies and contradictions of multiple systems — from health and financial to energy and education — are more exposed than ever.” 

Writing for The Hill, Justin Haskins calls the Great Reset “the most ambitious and radical plan the world has seen in more than a generation.” Even the British monarchy has weighed in. “We have a golden opportunity to seize something good from this crisis — its unprecedented shockwaves may well make people more receptive to big visions of change,” said Prince Charles at the meeting, adding: 

“It is an opportunity we have never had before and may never have again.” 

Many details of the Great Reset won’t be rolled out until the WEF meets at Davos, Switzerland, in January 2021. It is clear, however, that world leaders have big plans of a new world order and, contrary to the founding principles of Bitcoin (BTC) and crypto, centralization appears to be a big part of it. 

“Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed,” wrote Klaus Schwab, the founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, in an article published on the WEF’s website. He added: 

“In short, we need a ‘Great Reset’ of capitalism.” 

Schwab said that “all aspects of our societies and economies, from education to social contracts and working conditions” must be “revamped.” 

The cryptocurrency industry has been planning its own “Great Reset” as well — one based on decentralization. While global governments want to put the world on a distributed ledger in order to digitize finance so governments can have more control, there are very smart people on this planet who have their own plans. We in the crypto industry, for example, want to put everything on a blockchain. Instead of social credit systems and centralized fiat currencies, we want each individual to be in control of their own money, to be less dependent on banks, and to be in control of defining what money and real value is. 

The Great Reset will be a revolutionary upheaval. It will create many hardships but also opportunities for companies, which recreate financial products in a decentralized fashion on blockchain, and for individuals, who no longer must rely on the traditional financial system. 

As we find ourselves in a digital and technological revolution, hastened by the Great Lockdown, we as an industry cannot underestimate the implications of a crisis that has only just begun. We must now change our mindsets in order to properly bear witness to the Great Reset and turn it into “The Great Awakening.” That’s how we come out stronger on the other side. 

We’ll need to reconsider everything, including money. We must ask ourselves questions such as: What is this abstraction we call money? As an industry, for instance, we’ll need to place less emphasis on price. We’ll need to stop celebrating the development of central bank digital currencies as victories for cryptocurrency. The fact is CBDCs are not cryptocurrencies. They’re more like credit cards than cryptocurrency. 

Satoshi Nakamoto saw an economic dislocation like the Great Reset coming. He etched the now famous line into the Bitcoin network’s genesis block: “The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks.” The 2008 financial crisis and the consequent bailouts of “too-big-to-fail” banks had inspired him to release open-source and peer-to-peer money. 

“The root problem with conventional currency is all the trust that’s required to make it work,” wrote Satoshi, adding: 

“The central bank must be trusted not to debase the currency, but the history of fiat currencies is full of breaches of that trust. Banks must be trusted to hold our money and transfer it electronically, but they lend it out in waves of credit bubbles with barely a fraction in reserve. We have to trust them with our privacy, trust them not to let identity thieves drain our accounts.” 

While world leaders openly announce the Great Reset, imploring the world to trust their vision, they paint a picture of a future, more centralized world. Contrarily, Satoshi stressed the importance of decentralization. “A lot of people automatically dismiss e-currency as a lost cause because of all the companies that failed since the 1990’s,” he wrote, adding: 

“I hope it’s obvious it was only the centrally controlled nature of those systems that doomed them. I think this is the first time we’re trying a decentralized, non-trust-based system.” 

Satoshi believed peer-to-peer solutions and decentralization gave people back their freedom. He thought decentralization was a poignant answer to centralization and monopolies.

Yes, but we can win a major battle in the arms race and gain a new territory of freedom for several years,” he wrote. “Governments are good at cutting off the heads of centrally controlled networks like Napster, but pure P2P networks like Gnutella and Tor seem to be holding their own.” 

For how many years we can hold this “new territory of freedom” depends entirely on how well the cryptocurrency industry adapts to the Great Reset. People have only just begun to lose their livelihoods — that is, their businesses, their jobs, and so on — as a result of “the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression.” 

We’ve seen increased digitization in 2020, and from artificial intelligence to blockchain to distributed ledgers, the Great Reset will only hasten this trend as the Great Lockdown hastened similar trends. As central banks create their own digital currencies, the cryptocurrency industry is building its own digital economy, too. 

After PC World published an article commenting on Wikileaks’ adoption of Bitcoin to circumvent a financial blockade against the whistleblower organization, Satoshi wrote: 

“It would have been nice to get this attention in any other context. WikiLeaks has kicked the hornet’s nest, and the swarm is headed towards us.” 

It would have been nice to get the coming attention in any other context, but the Great Lockdown and subsequent economic depression has kicked the hornet’s nest, and the swarm is headed toward us in crypto. The Great Reset might come down to central bank digital currencies versus the cryptocurrencies of the people — centralization versus decentralization.

One may begin life with infantile ignorance, selfishness, and inability, but if we simply seek our Creator's will and purpose for our lives, we may become someone far beyond our imagination or our worthiness or abilities.  And that, only as we, with God's help, accept corrections, and yield to whatever truth conflicts with our ingrained, preconceived  but baseless ideas. If we hunger for truth, God will not leave us in ignorance. He wants us to grow through change, improvement, and spiritual upgrade.  Not that we can then see it within ourselves, but God and others will. Self aggrandizement is a contradiction of spiritual growth. A truly spiritual person cannot see self as spiritual but as a sinner saved by grace and unworthy.... in need of forgiveness.

Pastor John MacArthur's defense of worship stands: 'Church is essential' 

A judge has denied the fourth attempt by Los Angeles County to shut down Grace Community Church.

The church and its pastor, John MacArthur, recently resumed indoor services amid COVID-19 orders against indoor church services. As a result, Los Angeles County has been seeking an emergency shutdown order in advance of a September 4 hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Pastor MacArthur was doing online-only services, but he says people began showing up unannounced. According to MacArthur, "they didn't buy the narrative" about COVID-19. MacArthur has more recently stated that guidelines from the government were virtually impossible for his church to comply with in order to have services. Meanwhile, MacArthur maintains that Jesus Christ is head of the Church, not Governor Gavin Newsom (D-California) or some other government official.

"This should signal to LA County that California courts will not quickly or easily trample the constitutionally protected rights of churches," says attorney Jenna Ellis of Thomas More Society, the law firm representing Pastor MacArthur and Grace Community Church.

"We maintain that their health order is unconstitutionally burdening the right of churches to worship," the attorney continues, "And there exists no rational basis, much less a compelling interest, to try to shut down indoor services at this point, particularly when the county is allowing strip clubs to operate and massive riots to take place – and not seeking restraining orders against them."

Ellis adds that attorneys "look forward to making those arguments at a subsequent proceeding, where we will ask the court to properly check this power grab by Los Angeles County and the State of California's executive branch."

Reacting to the judge's decision on Tuesday, MacArthur stated:

"We are very grateful to Judge Mitchel Beckloff for his reasoned opinion and for taking great care to review this very important matter. As I said in my declaration to the court, we see this action against us as an illegitimate misuse of power. It should shock the conscience of every Christian that churches are coming under assault from our own government simply for holding church. Church is essential."
