Who Were Those Wise Men Who Came To Jesus From The East?

From Which Nation Came They? Their Nationality?

"Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him." Matt.2:1-2.   We know they came from the east of Jerusalem and Bethlehem, but from how far east? All the way from India or China? Or was it closer, from Babylon (Iraq), or Persia (Iran)? And how did they already know about the Jewish Messiah, the  "King of the Jews"?   Were they dispersed Jews, remnants of the Babylonian bondage of Jews, or Semites from pre-Abraham ancestors of Shem, Noah's first son, or Gentiles from Japheth, third son of Noah, or  were they descendants of the second son of Noah, Ham? But these last were not to the east but to the south? At that time the various races were not as inner mixed as they are today, though there was some mixing especially in those areas where empires conquered  other lands, whose soldiers left their procreative DNA there. Significantly, Jewish DNA remained most pure, of all nationalities, for centuries, since they historically married within their own race. Many still do.
There had been several major conquering empires preceding the Roman Empire, which ruled in Israel when Jesus was born. Previously, the Babylonians had conquered the Jews and carried most of them back east, as slaves to Babylon, where their slave-masters found the children of Israel to be "wiser" than normal. Many Jews were still in Babylon when the Median and Persian Empires conquered Babylon. The Persian Empire was followed by Alexander the Great who conquered Persia but by that time the Persian and Babylonian Empires had released the Jews to go back home and rebuild the Temple Walls. None of those, now Muslim, conquering empires were Muslim, back then. Islam wasn't founded until about 600 years after the birth of Jesus, so the wise men weren't Muslim. The Ishmaelites were, already in Arabia, but that vast desert didn't offer much to any of those previous conquering empires so the Ishmaelites were left isolated. That is until their own pseudo "prophet", Mohammad, went out conquering all the surrounding nations, much later.
The Persians and Babylonians were not Ishmaelites but were descended from pre-Abraham Shemites as were the ancestors of Abraham, father of the Jews and of the Ishmaelites of Arabia.
My point is, that the "Wise Men" who came to Jesus in Bethlehem could have been dispersed Jews who were of the descendants of the Babylonian bondage and some Jews had even stayed in Babylon though set free. They could also have been Persians or Babylonians converted to Judaism by those bondage Jews like Daniel. Jews, Babylonians and Persians all had ancestors descended from Shem, Noah's first son, and were Shemites or a mixture including descendants of Noah's third son, Japheth. Alexander the Great, a Gentile, descended from Noah's son Japheth, defeated the Persians and his thousands of troops also left their procreative seed all over those nations east of Israel.

There may still have been some Ishmaelite DNA in Babylon and Persia, though these nations were not descended from Ishmael who was half Egyptian and half Shemite as Abraham's first son and by Hagar, an Egyptian. So Ishmael and Isaac were half brothers and Shemites to different degrees as descendants of Noah's son Shem.

I speak of this because it is interesting to me, not that it has any great spiritual importance. But far more interesting is the fact that those wise men came from the East, probably Babylon or Persia, and they already knew of the Jewish prophecy of a coming Messiah, and were believers in the Jewish God, Jehovah, and the Christ (Messiah). Therefore their faith may have been inspired by the witness of Daniel and the Hebrew Children, to the wise men's ancestors many years previously, while in bondage there.

That is my opinion, which I cannot prove by Scripture. But somehow, they already knew of the prophecy and had faith to follow the star to Jesus. We too can be wise men and women and believe enough to follow God's leading to Jesus the Christ who is available to all nations and all people whether descended from Shem, Ham, Japheth or a mixture of all three of Noah's sons. Salvation is for   "Whosoever believeth". "For God so loved the world ..."
