"Fear not, for I am ...." Isa. 41:10
There is a story, in the last chapter of Genesis, about one of the sons of Israel, whose name was Joseph. His father had a special love for him and had given him a unique and beautiful coat of many colors, which caused jealousy among his brothers. Joseph was also endowed with revelatory dreams of his future and told his family that he would one day reign over them and have dominion over them. Was he boasting or simply sharing his dreams? For all these reasons, Joseph's brothers hated him and argued, "Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams and for his words." Gen.37:8. Sound familiar?

So Joseph's brothers conspired against him, and looked for an opportunity to murder him. Not long afterward, they caught him alone, and all but one of them, filled with hatred, would have beaten him to death. But the one brother talked them into throwing him into a pit and then selling him, as a slave, to a bunch of Arab Ishmaelites who often traveled through their country to Egypt. So they threw him into a deep pit and agreed to sell their brother out, and did, to an unfriendly tribe who also sold him, in turn, as a slave in Egypt.
Joseph's brothers lied to everyone back home about Joseph, his coat of many colors, his blood and what truly had happened to him. They lied about the truth of how they had betrayed Joseph and had sold him out for money and their evil gratification.
But Joseph, due to his unusual vision and wise advice, soon arose in importance, power, and high office in Egypt. In that capacity, he was used of God to prepare the nation for an unforeseen, but coming calamity of starvation throughout the land, including his own homeland.
To shorten the story, during those international, troubelous times, Joseph's traitorous brothers came to Egypt seeking to buy food to relieve the starvation in their own country. They were unaware that they would be dealing with the brother they had betrayed, and tried to destroy .... him, and his destiny, to stop him from reigning over them. So, when they discovered that their very lives, and those of their families back home, were now in the hands of Joseph, they were horrified and began to beg for mercy and forgiveness for their lies and crimes against him.
To that, Joseph answered "You thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive." Gen.50:20.
And so it is today .... as it was in the days of Genesis. Who knows what tragedies, calamities and destruction may have happened on earth but for God's hand, His plan, His will in the lives of everyone ever born .... but God intervened. And be sure that if a good or bad thing happens, it has to be that God knew about it before hand and could have stopped it ... but didn't ... and let it come to pass for His own purposes or plan of permissive will. He does not violate His own will that we, "in his likeness" should have a free will. So it has always been true, and still is, that "...All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Rom.8:28
I counted 33 times in the Bible where some disastrous or exceptional thing happened or nearly happened .... but was stopped or started ... "but God" changed it. Thirty three times those two words are linked together in that order ... "But God" made the difference. But God, "according to his purpose", his unseen purpose rules and His yet unknown will reigns over the will of men.
We are seeing such a thing play itself out in President Trump's life, the Presidency, the House of Representatives, the offices of Nancy Palosi, Adam Schiff, and both Political Parties... the Nation itself. Could it be that what may be the worst example of corruption, dishonesty and turmoil in American history, as an attack against truth, is suddenly morphing from a caterpillar with a horn into a butterfly with a stinger? Turning from a series of investigations of the RIGHT into a landslide against the LEFT? And after passing through three years of lies, accusations, perverted investigations, destruction of lives, time, emotions and wasted tax dollars .... "But God" turns it into good for the Party of Right to Life, Scriptural marriage, protected borders and national safety? And could it be that the half of our nation, who put the Left-Wing transgressors in power, and believed, or pretended to, every contemptuous lie, will now be exposed to the light of truth? Those who otherwise would not have been exposed, had they not vented their hatred and lies against Trump, those who elected him, and all we stand for? Have they shot themselves in their party's corporate left foot and then cut their own Democrat throat? Has God turned the tables on the promoters of abortion, homosexual marriage, open borders, the fake news networks, and the entire Left-Wing in general? It now appears that is exactly where this charade is headed. "BUT GOD" always makes the difference between good and evil, right and wrong, heaven and hell. Between Dec.9 and November 3, 2020 we are going to see one of the most interesting times in the history of the nation .... But God ....
