Memorial Day? What's To Remember? Veterans !!!

Common Sense Commentary: Let's give credit where credit is due... to our veterans.

It is the
VETERAN,
not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the
VETERAN who
salutes the Flag,

It is
the
VETERAN
who serves
under the Flag,

Bless em all, Bless em all, Bless the long the short and the tall. Yes, I know, above the veteran it is God who gave us all these things ... but He didn't give them to North Koreans, Chinese, Russians, Cubans, Venezuelans, and many other nations.  Why us ?  "In God we trust" and He gave us those veterans to protect us.  If you still don't like my answer, never again say YOU make a living, YOU cooked a meal, YOU made a good grade, YOU give out tracts .... That wasn't YOU, it was God?  Don't be so nit-pickie, Pickle. RB
