The Difference That Lasts Forever, "Christ In You"

"A Mystery Among The Gentiles"

"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." Col.1:27.

When Jim Pound and I (and the members of Temple Baptist Church) founded North Florida Christian Schools, in three seperate Florida counties, our published claim and refrain was, "The difference that lasts forever". Before he died, Jim founded a fourth, school on his own, in a fourth county, with the same mantra, "The difference that lasts forever". (Temple, in Tallahassee, is now North Florida Baptist Church).

Here is the latest in a long list of legitimate studies, by secular groups such as the one below, which was made by Harvard University's C. H. Chan School of Public Health. Though Harvard was founded by Christians it has long since turned totally secular and non-religious. So their study, being done for worldly, "Public Health", understanding of the positive effects, upon children, of early "spiritual" exposure, is from a non- Christian, public health view-point. Their interpretation of the results are also from a secular view, though it is an honest analysis ... as if to say, "What do these 'religious' people have that makes them different from everybody else?" What the studiers do not reveal is that most of the children studied were from 'Christian' families. So in most of the cases, the difference is "Christ". In the others, religion and prayer still showed a positive improvement in children. It is unusual to see an article like this in a Business News Magazine ... but you won't see it in any of the major news outlets.

Raising Kids With Religion Or Spirituality May Protect Their Mental Health: Study

A new study from Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health finds that kids and teens who are raised with religious or spiritual practices tend to have better health and mental health as they age. But not to worry if you’re not a service-attender. The research, published last week in the American Journal of Epidemiology, finds that people who prayed or meditated on their own time also reaped similar benefits, including lower risk of substance abuse and depression later on.
The team looked at data from 5,000 people taking part in the long-term Nurses' Health Study II and its next generation Growing Up Today Study (GUTS). They were interested in whether the frequency with which a child/teen attended religious services with their parents or prayed/meditated on their own was correlated with their health and mental health as they grew into their 20s. The young people were followed for anywhere from eight to 14 years.
It turned out that those who attended religious services at least once a week as children or teens were about 18% more likely to report being happier in their 20s than those who never attended services. They were also almost 30% more likely to do volunteer work and 33% less likely to use drugs in their 20s as well.

New York Post Showing Signs Of Fair And Balanced

In The Vicious Attacks On Judge Kavanaugh

These totally detestable and obviously false Accusations against an honorable and descent man should, considering the facts of the case, cause even the most biased Democrat to cringe at its illogical, diabolical contradictions and lies. RB

This From The New York Post

Eight big problems for

Christine Blasey Ford’s story

Christine Blasey Ford’s allegations against Brett Kavanaugh are serious. She is accusing him of violent attempted rape. “I thought he might inadvertently kill me. He was trying to attack me and remove my clothing,” she told The Washington Post, recounting the alleged incident at a high school party “one summer in the early 1980s.”
But her story is also growing less believable by the day. Here are eight reasons why it’s hardly “anti-woman” for senators to question her account at Thursday’s hearing:
Eight Big Problems With Christine Basley Ford's Story
1) For starters, Ford still can’t recall basic details of what she says was the most traumatic event in her life. Not where the “assault” took place — she’s not sure whose house it was, or even what street it was on. Nor when — she’s not even sure of the year, let alone the day and month.
Ford’s not certain how old she was or what grade she was in when she says an older student violently molested her. (But she doesn’t plead inebriation: She described having just “one beer” at the party.)
2) Ford concedes she told no one what happened to her at the time, not even her best friend or mother. That means she can rely on no contemporaneous witness to corroborate her story.
3) Worse, the four other people she identified as attending the party, including Kavanaugh, all deny knowledge of the gathering in question, including Leland Ingham Keyser, who she calls a “lifelong friend.”
Keyser’s lawyer told the Senate Judiciary Committee: “Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with or without Dr. Ford.”
The other two potential witnesses — Mark Judge and Patrick “P.J.” Smyth — also deny any recollection of attending such a party. The committee took their sworn statements “under penalty of perjury.” “These witnesses directly contradict Professor Ford’s allegations against Judge Kavanaugh,” Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley advised Ford’s attorneys last week.

In her original letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, Ford claimed that Kavanaugh talked to Keyser and Smyth right after he assaulted her. Yet neither shares her memory.
This is, to say the least, highly problematic for her case. No witness corroborates any part of her story.
4) Her own immediate family doesn’t appear to be backing her up, either. Her mother, father and two siblings are all conspicuously absent from a letter of support released by a dozen relatives, mostly on her husband’s side of the family.
The letter attests to her honesty and integrity. “Why didn’t her parents and brothers sign the letter?” a congressional source familiar with the investigation wondered.
5) This summer, Ford tried to reach out to old friends from high school and college to jog her memory. They couldn’t help her. “I’ve been trying to forget this all my life, and now I’m supposed to remember every little detail,” Ford complained to one friend in July, according to an account in The San Jose Mercury News.
6) Yet she still pushed forward with her bombshell charge, contacting The Washington Post tip line and Democratic lawmakers, while hiring a Democratic activist lawyer. Ford is also a Democrat, as well as an anti-Trump marcher, raising questions about the motive and timing of the allegations along with their veracity.
7) Ford contends that notes her therapist took in 2012 corroborate her account. But they don’t mention Kavanaugh.
They also point up inconsistencies in her story. For instance, her shrink noted that Ford told her there were “four boys” in the bedroom, not two as she now says. The notes also indicate Ford said she was in her “late teens” when she was assaulted. But Ford now says she may have been only 15.
8) In another inconsistency, Ford told The Washington Post she was upset when Trump won in 2016, because Kavanaugh was mentioned as a Supreme Court pick. But Kavanaugh wasn’t added to Trump’s list of possibles until November 2017, a full year later.
On top of all that, Kavanaugh “unequivocally denied Dr. Ford’s allegations . . . under penalty of perjury” during a Sept. 17 interview with committee lawyers, Grassley said, adding he was “forthright and emphatic in his testimony” and “fully answered all questions.”
The sworn interview will no doubt be used to test the consistency and veracity of his public statements Thursday.
Yet Democrats have already tried and convicted Kavanaugh of sexual assault. Without hard evidence, without substantiation, some even go beyond Ford’s claims to call him an out-and-out “rapist,” “sexual predator,” even a “child predator.”
As a result, Kavanaugh and his family, “including his two young daughters, have faced serious death threats and vicious assaults,” Grassley said. “And they’re getting worse each day.”
Ford, who also has received threats, is by all accounts a respected scientific researcher in the field of psychology with an impressive pedigree. While that makes her credible, the same can’t be said for her story. Unless she can fill in the many holes, Kavanaugh still deserves the presumption of innocence.

The Personality Disorder Of A Suicide Bomber

Risking All To Destroy Unbelievers...

Which is worse, the crime of groping committed 35 years ago by a 17 year old boy, or Falsely accusing the innocent Supreme Court Justice Candidate of it in order to destroy him and leave his family in ruins. Which of the two would you prefer to be? RB

Christine Blasey Ford: Female Suicide Bomber

CHQ Staff | 9/24/18

Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh of a sexual assault some 35-years ago now appears to be prepared to testify about her allegations at a hearing to he conducted by the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday, September 27.

The letter through which she originally made the allegation has finally been released by California Democratic Blasey Ford Testimony Senator Dianne Feinstein, but it offers nothing new to corroborate Blasey Ford’s claims.

Despite that fact, and that all the alleged witnesses to the alleged assault have categorically denied any knowledge of it, Democrats, such as Hawaii’s Senator Mazie Hirono and New York’s Kristen Gillibrand, have steadfastly maintained Ms. Blasey Ford is telling the truth and that she must be believed because she has no reason to lie and is “sacrificing so much” to raise these charges.

That might be a compelling argument to the average establishment media TV producer or reporter, however, from the larger political perspective on the Kavanaugh nomination and how it is perceived by the Left, it actually explains exactly why Christine Blasey Ford would lie and “sacrifice so much” to bring down Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

So why would she give up her privacy, professional standing and an allegedly idyllic life in California to stop Brett Kavanaugh from being confirmed by the Senate?

It is beyond dispute that Christine Blasey Ford is a committed Leftist. As a Gen Two member of the feminist Left, Blasey Ford was indoctrinated at the prestigious Holton Arms School. The Holton-Arms administration and board are militantly pro-abortion. The commencement ceremony in June 2018 contained at least 7 positive references to abortion. The yearbooks of her years at Holton Arms brag about under-age drinking and the commodification of sex, all with the apparent knowledge and approval of parents and faculty.

To the Left, the Kavanaugh nomination is all about women’s “choice,” Roe v. Wade and abortion, the central tenets of their secular religion.

Viewed through the lens of Blasey Ford’s indoctrination in the Left’s secular religion and her commitment to it, she is the perfect candidate to take out Brett Kavanaugh, and for the same reasons that suicide bombers choose to immolate themselves to destroy their enemies.

Religious terrorism is a particularly potent form of violence; religion offers the moral justification for committing seemingly immoral acts, such as lying to destroy the reputation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, and, make no mistake about it, Leftist feminism is a religion, and its adherents are motivated with the same zeal that motivates other fanatics.

“She didn’t always get along with her parents because of differing political views,” Blasey Ford’s husband Russell Ford told the Washington Post. “It was a very male-dominated environment. Everyone was interested in what’s going on with the men, and the women are sidelined, and she didn’t get the attention or respect she felt she deserved…”

This, too, mirrors the motivations of female suicide bombers. Maartje Witlox noted in her research, “What motivates female suicide terrorists?” that “Some have alleged that female terrorists are motivated by psychological problems or by the will to avenge a personal tragedy. Other theorists argue that women are fighting to achieve gender equality, since the societies they live in are often extremely patriarchal.”

Fiinally, there is this strategic benefit; suicide bombing clears spaces and makes the population feel unsafe as they go about their daily business. And what better way to make sure that good people, especially conservatives, will refuse to accept nomination to the Supreme Court or other key positions than to make it clear that they will be destroyed for doing so?

The Senate Judiciary Committee has now sought information from six individuals—five who were allegedly present at the party when the alleged incident took place, and one who claimed to have secondhand knowledge of the incident.

A former schoolmate of Dr. Ford’s—Ms. Christina King Miranda—claimed on social media posts on September 20 that “[t]his incident did happen, many of us heard about it in school.” Hours later, the Committee reached out to Ms. Miranda and asked her to participate in a confidential interview on Dr. Ford’s allegations with Committee investigators.

Shortly thereafter, however, she deleted her posts and claimed on National Public Radio that she “ha[d] no idea” whether the incident “happened or not.” Ms. King Miranda further stated that she would not participate in an interview with the Committee.

Four of those allegedly present at the party have provided statements to the Committee—Judge Kavanaugh, Mr. Judge, Mr. Smyth, and Ms. Keyser.  Judge Kavanaugh has flatly denied the allegations, and Mr. Judge, Mr. Smyth, and Ms. Keyser deny having knowledge of any party matching Dr. Ford’s description.  Ms. King subsequently recanted her claim of secondhand knowledge and publicly refused to cooperate with the Committee’s investigation.

Nothing Judge Kavanaugh says or evidence he presents is going to convince Democrats to vote AYE on his confirmation, because this isn’t about his abstract qualifications; his intellect, his knowledge of the law and the quality of his judicial product. This is a religious war over abortion and it is time to recognize Christine Blasey Ford’s allegations for what they are – the Far Left’s first female suicide bombing.

Ping Pong Ball Now Includes Swallowing The Paddle

The word "Satan" in both Old and New Testament,
Hebrew and Greek means a "hate filled accuser".

Kavanaugh to hand over calendars from 1982 that don't show party of alleged incident: report

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is planning to give the Senate Judiciary Committee calendars from his high school years his legal team argues will back up his denial of sexual misconduct allegations, The New York Times reported on Sunday
The calendars reportedly show that Kavanaugh was away for most of the summer in 1982, the year that Christine Blasey Ford claims Kavanaugh assaulted her at a party. According to the Times, the calendars include details about other gatherings that he attended, but do not include details about a party similar to the one detailed by Ford.
Kavanaugh's lawyers acknowledged to the Times that Kavanaugh could have attended a party that he did not list on the calendars, but they are planning to argue that it proves there is no corroboration for her account.
Ford on Sunday agreed to publicly testify about the alleged misconduct. The hearing is sThursday.
Ford says Kavanaugh pinned her down, groped her and attempted to remove her clothes during a small gathering when the two were high school students at neighboring D.C.-area schools.
She says the incident has caused her decades of emotional trauma, a claim substantiated by her therapist's notes in 2012 and 2013.
Ford named three other people who she said attended the party more than 30 years ago. Each of them in recent days has come out and stated they do not recall attending the party, though one said they believe her account.
Only Kavanaugh and Ford are scheduled to testify.
“Despite actual threats to her safety and her life, Dr. Ford believes it is important for senators to hear directly from her about the sexual assault committed against her,” Ford's legal team said in a statement.

A Ping Pong Ball Is Hard To Swallow

For All But The Demagoguery Glutton ...

The believable channel, through which the thin and empty, Big Lie must pass, is narrowing at the neck like a ping pong ball in a funnel. This lie is just too big and full of hot air to pass the test of passable truth. The best it can do for the glutton is indigestion. RB

Third Named Witness Rejects Kavanaugh’s Accuser’s Allegations

In written testimony sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee, a third named witness has rejected the allegations made by Judge Kavanaugh’s accuser. Having been asked by a Senate staffer to comment on the charges advanced against the nominee, a lawyer for Leland Ingham Keyser wrote:
Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford.
Under 18 U.S.C § 1001, letters to the Judiciary Committee are subject to criminal penalty if false.
COMMENTS
Ms. Keyser, whom CNN confirms is “a lifelong friend of Ford’s,” is the third named witness to deny any knowledge of the allegations. The other two, Mark Judge and Patrick Smyth, issued written statements to that effect earlier in the week. Thus far, nobody has backed up the account advanced by Kavanaugh’s accuser, while Kavanaugh and three other named witnesses have rejected it outright.

Pain Has A Purpose: Don't Yield To It, Push Through It

Pray, and trust your Creator/Healer...

I'm not saying it works for everyone every time or that everyone should try it, but it has worked for me throughout my life and I believe it is generally true with everyone. In my opinion it is akin to God's first natural law for humans concerning OBEDIENCE in what they could and should not eat of, and the result of disobedience. I'll call it "The Law Of Good And Evil". And His second law, resulting from their human violation of the first law was,   "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread" Gen. 3:19.   The  word "bread" here is the Hebrew word "lechem" and means food. Working for your food is a law like sowing and reaping which is another branch of God's natural laws, that is similar...   "Give and it shall be given unto you" Luke 6:38.   Meet God's conditions and these natural laws work for us every time.... in His time. The one I am referring to though is, "Push through the pain to lessen the pain".  Adam and Eve's original assignment was to   "dress and keep the garden" Gen.2:15.   That required work and using the muscles God gave us. But before sin came, there wouldn't have been any pain in kneeling, working, and pruning the garden. I assume the garden contained fruit and nut trees as well as vegetables, for their food. But after they disobeyed God's first law, concerning obedience, another law was brought into play as a consequence,   "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread". Gen.3:19.   Sweat assumes laborious, hard work  accompanied by pain in unexercised, lazy muscles. The only way to stop that kind of pain is to push through it consistently until the muscles are strong and hard and not weak and unsupportive. So pray for healing, but maybe more important is, put feet to your prayers and pray for the grace to daily exercise that old body. Don't tell me it hurts... I know that already.

There are some physically serious cases where doing so might cause physical damage, but the core truth is that most such pain can be lessened by a regimen of pushing through it. Exercising muscles, for greater strength, is useless unless it hurts. Every sport requires it. Maintaining health and preserving health for a lifetime, requires it.

This is not only true physically but is also mentally and spiritually true...

"... Sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith." Ecc.1:13.

"Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby." Heb.12:11.

I think it is absolutely true, both physically, mentally and spiritually, that where there is no pain there is no gain. That is not a flippant axiom but a common truth.

The first time I realized this, at 16, is when my dad had me dig a cellar about 8X10 feet and 7 feet deep. When I finished it I was healthier, wealthy and much stronger just before going off to Marine Corps Boot Camp. Dad knew something I did not know and prepared me for my greatest testing up to that time.  The lesson was greatly magnified  two years later when I was put in an emotional, spiritual, and physically killing, test zone of endurance during the Chosin Reservoir battle in North Korea. We fought, agonized and died until we couldn't take another step and then fought and froze another 50 miles.... and after rest, were all stronger for it.

I'll be 88 in December, and nothing on me works right anymore. I won't name them all, but as Bunnie' s mother said forty years ago, many years before she died at 100, "Old age ain't for sissies".

Exercise, at my age, is extremely painful, if it does any good.  So I think most old people die before their  time, at least partially, for that reason ... meager physical activity. I understand it now that nearly every move is painful. Like most other old people, I hate exercise.  I have two metal knees and ex rays see my hip joints with nothing between the bones but pain. So my work-outs were drifting downward and hurting more. It finally became so bad that I went to an orthopedic surgeon to see what a Saw-bones could do for me. His diagnosis was, replace a hip joint and repair a metal knee joint. I was willing, at 88, to get it done.... live or die.

Then the unexpected happened. Many family, friends and the wonderful people I pastored, those many years in Florida, began to pray for this old preacher ... and I began to increase my time on my stationary bike ... pushing through the pain, and, as I thought, getting my old body in better shape to survive my left hip joint being sawed in two and my right knee being opened up for an overhaul. This pain has gotten steadily worse for years. You can imagine my surprise when all those prayers, plus  pushing through the pain, and just plain intervention of God, began to eliminate the pain rather quickly. Now, understand, I don't know which or what happened, but one thing I do know is, no matter which or what God used or didn't ... He has done the healing, whether by some means or miracle or both. The ex rays still show no cartilage remaining between the hip joint, and the knee joint still has metal shavings or chunks of plastic or whatever, interfering with its movement, but the pain has, and is still, subsiding.
I have canceled the orthopedic surgeon procedure, so if the pain returns, I will let you know so you can pray for me.... and I will keep on pushing through it, praying through it and looking forward to seeing Jesus and a brand new, glorified body at the trumpet sound.  Thanks for your prayers. I love you all. God is so good. RB

It is passing strange, Governor Cuomo, that you, as an American, would say that our country was "Never that great" when most of the world's population has referred to the USA as "Christian America" for over a hundred years. And at least half of the world's people, seemingly, would like to live here. But if America is no longer, truly, Christian and not as great as it once was, it is ungrateful, sour, Socialists like you that have made it so. What really disturbs Constitutional Conservatives like me is not your morose, sullen attitude, but the fact that more than half of the citizens of New York State chose a rabid Socialist like you as their Governor and Hillary and Obama as their President. But, thankfully, there is at least one New Yorker who wants to "Make America Great Again". He isn't without fault either, but neither are any of us. At least he is trying to restore the damage you Socialists have done while you Democrats have no greater goal that to mortally wound or kill him. May God reward you according to your works. RB

I Saw It, But Couldn't Believe My Lying Eyes

Giant Samaritans In Israel In 1953...

Learning New Things Never Ceases.
At 88 I  Learned Something New Today.

During my first year in Seminary, 1953, my friend Louis Johnson and I told the Seminary President we were going on a tour of Israel, right in the middle of the school year. He said, "Fine", but that we would lose credit for the entire school year. In those days nothing scared Louis, a former "High Steel" construction worker from Paduka, Kentucky, and not much scared me, having just returned from the Korean War. So we played hookie for the next two + weeks and flew to the Holy Land. I don't know how Louis afforded it, but, at the time I was making more than the professors driving transport trucks with 6000 gallons of gasoline, at night. When we returned the President gracefully let us continue our studies, and gave us the chapel hour to tell of our trip.

One of our most memorable days in Israel was a visit in or near Nablus, where lived the Samaritans. At that time there were few Samaritans left, anywhere. Among those who survived, we saw men 8 and 9 feet tall. Neither I nor Louis nor even our guide (a missionary, PV Zugg), knew anything about the negative effects of inbreeding, and thought they must have always been tall people. Since 1953 I have mentioned to a number of congregations and individuals that the Samaritans were still in existence and some were giants. I have understated some things, for fear of not being believed, like the depth of winter cold in North Korea, but in this case, I was unknowingly overstating the historical, natural height of Samaritans, before their numbers were reduced to just one or two hundred, and they were still inner-marrying within their  Samaritan tribe. When I tried to verify what I had seen with my own eyes, I found no verification at all about their abnormal height.
So I stopped mentioning what my eyes told be for fear I would be thought to be a liar. Today, I did an Internet study, which I could not do back when my lying eyes were my best reference, and learned the reason those few Samaritans were so tall and had other health problems as well. So I am sharing these two articles on the history, religion and modern day Samaritans. RB

Genetic testing breathes new life into Israel's Samaritans

After facing near-extinction and a high rate of birth defects because of inbreeding, the community is using modern science to preserve its traditional way of life.

December 09, 2012|By Edmund Sanders, Los Angeles Times

MT. GERIZIM, West Bank — When Ben Yehuda Altif got engaged to his first cousin Mazal, there was no problem winning the blessing of their families or the Samaritan high priest, who leads their ancient Israelite sect. Marriage between cousins is common in the religious community.

But there was still an obstacle. Like many Samaritan couples today, the pair had to pass a premarital genetic screening to predict the likelihood of having healthy children. Without the green light from doctors, the marriage would be off.

"Doctors said OK, and now we have a healthy, handsome boy," said Altif, 33, reaching for his wife's cellphone to show off pictures of their son.

Samaritans, who trace their roots back about 2,700 years, are best known for clinging to strict biblical traditions that have largely disappeared, including animal sacrifice, isolation of menstruating women and, until recently, a ban on marrying outsiders.

But after facing near-extinction and being devastated by a high rate of birth defects because of inbreeding, the community is using modern science — including genetic testing, in vitro fertilization and abortion — to preserve their traditional way of life.

"It's changing our blood," said Aharon Ben-Av Chisda, 86, high priest of the 750-member Samaritan community, which is split about evenly between the West Bank village of Kiryat Luza near Nablus and the Israeli city of Holon, south of Tel Aviv.

The white-bearded priest said genetic testing was breathing new life and optimism into the once-besieged community. He noted that he and his wife, who is a second cousin, had four children before genetic testing was available: Three are deaf and one can't walk. Most other families at Mt. Gerizim tell similar stories of health problems and handicaps among the older generation, though lately such problems have begun to disappear.

Samaritans are one of the world's oldest religious sects. Similar in practice, beliefs and ancestry to Jews, they follow the Hebrew Torah. But instead of Jerusalem, they revere a temple their ancestors built on this remote West Bank hillside.

Mentioned several times in the Bible, Samaritans are also considered one of the most inbred communities in the world, with 46% marrying first cousins and more than 80% marrying blood relatives, according to research by Israeli geneticist Batsheva Bonne-Tamir, who spent most of her career studying the community.

The restrictions against marrying outsiders were less of a problem when Samaritans numbered more than a million in the 5th century. But because of persecution and forced conversion to Islam, their numbers had dwindled to just 146 by 1917.

To crawl their way back, Samaritans began having large families of eight to 10 children, and the frequency of first-cousin marriages doubled, Bonne-Tamir found.

As the population grew, so did the health problems and genetic defects, including rare blood diseases, Usher syndrome, deafness, muteness, blindness and physical handicaps.

"It was largely a 20th century phenomenon," said Bonne-Tamir, now retired from Tel Aviv University.

Over the last decade, the community also relaxed its restrictions on intermarriage, allowing in about 25 women, mostly Jewish Israelis and arranged matches with brides from Ukraine.

Samaritan leaders are reluctant to discuss their gene pool shrinkage, but they estimate the rate of birth defects was once 10 times higher than the nationwide average. By the 1960s, the rate of miscarriage was 10% higher among Samaritan women, one study found.

But since adopting genetic testing, Samaritans say the rate of birth defects among newborns today is normal, even though most people still marry inside the community, including to relatives.

"This is enabling us to build a better generation for the future," said Ishak Al Samiri, a spokesman for the community at Mt. Gerizim.

Like his father, Al Samiri married a cousin. He has two healthy children, but he suffers from a blood disorder and his brother is crippled, both believed to be linked to genetic defects, he said.

Samaritans have long been the focus of genetic research, initially because of their ancient roots. In the 1960s, Israeli scientists began to study the Holon branch of the community, both to assist with genetic defects and to trace their historic lineage.

Samaritans claim that they are the descendants of northern Israelite tribes that were conquered by Assyrians. Subsequent genetic studies suggested that Samaritan men carry the so-called Cohen gene, linking them to ancient Israelites.

For centuries, Samaritans lived in Nablus, but some moved to Jaffa and later to Holon. In 1988, the Nablus community relocated to a village near an Israeli settlement to escape attacks by Palestinians, who viewed them as Jews.

Today Samaritans, who hold Israeli citizenship, pride themselves on staying neutral in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

My Comment: Though the article does not mention the abnormal height of many Samaritans, because of the inbreeding, it is, nevertheless one of their problems. Problems which is an embarrsment to them. When I was there in 1953, the few I saw were very ill-at-ease and would not let us take pictures of them. I now know why. RB

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil...."

Thus saith the LORD ... What Say You?

Abortionists accuse Christians of condemning women, who want an abortion, to die or be mutilated by unqualified, abortion practitioners. Which, of course is a lie. The woman doesn't have to get an abortion but the baby has to either live or be murdered by the abortion. The sanctity of the life of the baby is the issue. To die giving birth is not murder, but to tear a living baby from the womb is. And yet they accuse defenders of the babies right to life as evil and abortion as good.

"And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come?" whose damnation is just. Rom.3:8.

"As a deeply religious person, it’s un-Christian to stop abortions", said Chelsea Clinton. (See the quote below).

The so-called "Right to choose" crowd have conjured up a "right" which God never gave. There is no right to choose between your discomfort, or dislike, or disgrace, or fear, or for whatever your reason you choose to kill your innocent baby.

The abortion mother should reconsider which choice is sanctioned by God. To choose their convenience, their will, their "choice" to kill their baby or their choice to spare the life they are responsible for creating. Ask yourself, what would Jesus tell you to do. Could God possibly approve of killing the baby?

"Ye have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the Lord...." Mal. 2:17.

Pray this prayer to God...
"Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge ... that I may discern between good and bad ...." 1 Kings 3:9.

The Washington Examiner reports Clinton spoke about her support for abortion Thursday during a SiriusXM Progress Town Hall, and discussed the possibility of Roe being overturned if U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh becomes the fifth conservative justice on the high court.
“When I think about all of the statistics, that are painful, of what women are confronting today in our country, and what even more women confronted pre- Roe, and how many women died, and how many more women were maimed because of unsafe abortion practices,” Clinton said.
“We just can’t go back to that. That’s unconscionable to me. And also, I’m sure that this will unleash another wave of hate in my direction, but as a deeply religious person, it’s also un-Christian to me,” she continued.
Clinton said her children are what inspire her to keep fighting for Roe v. Wade, the infamous Supreme Court decision that basically legalized abortion for any reason up to birth.
Clinton’s thoughts centered around compassion for struggling pregnant women, but her compassion ended with the unborn child. Since Roe, approximately 60 million unborn babies have been aborted in the United States. Christianity teaches that their lives are valuable as well as their mothers’, because they also are human beings created in the image of God.

And the truth is that Roe did not stop women from being hurt and killed in abortions, either. This week, a New Mexico family filed a lawsuit against a late-term abortion business, alleging it killed their young daughter and her unborn baby in a botched abortion and then tried to cover it up.
As of 2008, the CDC reported more than 400 women died from legal abortions in the United States. These numbers are little different from the years prior to Roe. A 1972 Center for Disease Control report noted the maternal death rate from abortions was 39 in the United States, the year prior to Roe. Countless more women have been injured physically or emotionally when they aborted their unborn babies.
Pregnant moms who are struggling deserve real support from Christian and secular communities — the kind of support that recognizes that she and her child both are valuable human beings. What really is “un-Christian” is touting abortion as one of the greatest supports society can provide and telling women that they need to kill their own children to succeed.

People Who Make Old Rayburn Say ... Hummm

Of Whom Do I Hmmmm?

People who hate all wealthy people, but want to be one of them.

People who hate police, but scream for them to "come quick" when in danger.

People who hate people who hate people, but can't see the contradiction.

People who hate their employer, their job, and salary who wouldn't think of quitting.

People who hate everything America stands for, but wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

People who say their boss doesn't appreciate them but have never found one who does.

People who "eat very little" and "very seldom" ... but weigh 300 pounds.

People who expect a birthday or thank you card, but never send one.

People who think everybody is talking about them, but constantly gossip about others.

People who say their child "got in with the wrong crowd" when theirs is the worst of the bunch.

People who spend lavishly and save nothing, but expect Taxpayers to support them in their old age.

People who smoke, drink, eat out and go to movies, but can't pay their rent.

People who are adored, famous and paid $millions to "play" with a ball, but think they are violated.

People who oppose executing the guilty but demand the right to abort the innocent.

These are my "Hmmms". Do you have one or two? send them to me.

Clarence Thomas: Quiet, Conservative, Patriotic Hero

And Honest Justice Of The United States Supreme Court

Justice Thomas's faith has jumped around from Baptist, Seventh Day Adventist, Episcopal, Catholic, and since I can't know any person's true beliefs, I am not comfortable identifying most "professing" Christians as a "genuine" Christian. That is God's call. I cannot read their minds and hearts. But it is certain that he considers himself a Christian and speaks often of his "Christian" faith. We know he is not an atheist, a Muslim, a homosesxual a Communist or a Socialist by his comments and positions taken on cases before the Court. Some professing Christians are true believers in spite of their religious confusion and inconsistencies. Justice Thomas is not inconsistant in his national, moral and Constitutional rulings... that I can detect. He is obviously one of the strongest Constitutional Conservatives on the court.

He and his mother were abandoned by his father early on and he was raised by his maternal Grandparents who were also great Americans.

Judge thomas was, like all other conservative justces, put through the Democrat wringer of lies, and unproven accusations because they think they own all blacks ... but a Conservative black proves otherwise.

Here is C. P. Farley's, review of Judging Thomas: The Life and Times of Clarence Thomas written by Ken Foskett.

In Ken Foskett's breezy new biography of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, he describes how Thomas likes to make new law clerks watch the 1949 movie adaptation of Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead. In the picture, Gary Cooper plays an idealistic, intransigent architect named Howard Roark who refuses to compromise his vision in order to satisfy an Establishment addicted to mediocrity. It's not difficult to imagine why this is Thomas's favorite film. Like Gary Cooper -- excuse me, Howard Roark -- Clarence Thomas believes himself a man of vision besieged on all sides by people of little imagination who just don't get him (Orrin Hatch and Phillis Shlafley aside). Thomas is a genuine heroic individualist in the Objectivist tradition.

Trump Ends Free Gov.Offices For Unions

Another Nest Of Swamp Moccasins Flushed Out

Trump admin kicking unions out of free govt. office spaces: Pay rent or get out.
While organized labor had a friend in former President Barack Obama, who stacked the National Labor Relations Board with career union labor lawyers, unions are now having a harder go at it under the Trump administration.
In fact, unions accustomed to be provided free government office space to conduct their business are finding themselves with an option of either paying rent or being kicked to the curb.

At least two government agencies have begun efforts to implement President Trump’s recent workforce executive orders governing union use of agency property, according to officials with the National Treasury Employees Union.
NTEU President Tony Reardon said last week the Social Security Administration’s Office of Hearing Operations informed the union that it plans to strip it of rent-free office space unilaterally, according to Government Executive.
Health and Human Services has also proposed via bargaining on a new contract that NTEU begin paying rent for office space on agency property.
The moves come as the Office of Personnel Management released guidance last week for agencies to implement Trump’s executive orders “aimed at making it easier to fire federal workers, streamline the collective bargaining negotiation process, and curb union employees’ use of official time,” the government business  publication reported.
The executive orders face legal challenges and do not “abrogate” existing bargaining agreements, but government agencies are being told to make changes at the “earliest date permitted by law,” and to change policies unilaterally as agreements expire.
Unions effectively serve as little more than the campaign arm of the Democratic Party, donating millions of dollars almost exclusively to the part’s candidates. This being in addition to more than $1.1 billion in member dues given to anti-Republican advocacy groups in a five year period from 2010 to 2016, according to the Center for Union Facts.
So why should taxpayers be a party to these partisan groups. Not that unions are going to give up their entitlements without a fight, the NTEU president stressed.
“We do not believe that the agency can unilaterally implement these anti-employee provisions without bargaining, as required by the current statute governing labor relations in the federal government,” Reardon said. “We look forward to arguing our case in federal court at the end of this month to preserve the workforce rights for the men and women of OHO.”
The fight will include bargaining with Health and Human Services.
“The office space we are entitled to under our agreements is the result of collective bargaining, agreed to in the give and take of contract negotiations,” he added. “It isn’t ‘provided.’ NTEU bargains for office space to ensure that employees have a private area to discuss their workforce matters with an NTEU representative, and that personnel documents and other materials are safely stored and secure.”

Theistic Evolution Is Also A Denial Of God's Word On Creation in Genesis

"A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump." Gal.5:9

Theistic Evolution is a vain effort of fence-straddling, by professing Christians, to appear more cultured, more intellectual, and more educated than those fundamentalist Christians who cling to their guns, Bibles, and Common Sense. Those clingers who believe the Genesis 1 account of Creation is as true today as it was at the dawn of creation when God said, "Let there be light". It should be obvious to anyone that if Genesis 1 is not true, it casts a dark, doubt shadow over the entire Bible that maybe none of it is true. Faith comes only by hearing the word of God (Rom.10:17). Our Christian faith, believing faith, salvation faith is rooted in the truth of God's word, the Bible. Disbelieving any of it neutralizes faith in all of it. If you do not believe in Genesis, you cannot fully believe in the four gospels, the epistles of Apostle Paul or the Revelation. True, believing faith becomes impossible without a trustworthy Bible.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." 2Tim.3:16.

If I can't believe it all, I cannot firmly believe any of it. Theistic evolution requires a disbelief in the Genesis account of creation and therefore opens the gates of hell to prevail against a person acquiring faith, not only in creation but in creation's God and in God's Son Jesus Christ.

Theistic evolution is at the "Y" in the road of life where the "narrow way" and the "broad way" divide. The way of life bears right and the way of destruction bears left... to a dead end. RB

Where Do We Come From?
From Crossway Publication

The debate about biological origins continues to be hotly contested within the Christian church. Prominent organizations such as Biologos (USA) and Faraday Institute (UK) insist that Christians must yield to an unassailable scientific consensus in favor of contemporary evolutionary theory and modify traditional biblical ideas about the creation of life accordingly. They promote a view known as “theistic evolution” or “evolutionary creation.” They argue that God used—albeit in an undetectable way—evolutionary mechanisms to produce all forms of life. This book contests this proposal.

Edited by J. P. Moreland, Stephen Meyer, Christopher Shaw, Ann Gauger, and Wayne Grudem and featuring contributions from two dozen highly credentialed scientists, philosophers, and theologians from Europe and North America, Theistic Evolution: A Scientific, Philosophical, and Theological Critique provides the most comprehensive critique of theistic evolution yet produced. It documents evidential, logical, and theological problems with theistic evolution, opening the door to scientific and theological alternatives—making the book essential reading for understanding this worldview-shaping issue.
Michael J. Behe, the author of Darwin’s Black Box, writes,
Theistic evolution means different things to different people. This book carefully identifies, and thoroughly debunks, an insidious, all-too-commonly accepted sense of the phrase even among Christians: that there is no physical reason to suspect life was designed, and that evolution proceeded in the unguided, unplanned manner Darwin himself championed.
Angus Menuge, president of the Evangelical Philosophical Society, writes,
Repeating the error of medieval Christianity, theistic evolution absolutizes the words of finite, fallible humans and relativizes the Word of an infinite, infallible God. As this tremendous and timely collection thoroughly demonstrates, scientific stagnation, circular philosophy, and heterodox theology are the inevitable results. This is simply the best critique of theistic evolution available
