Hey, Mr & Mrs Elite, Up There On Woke, We Can't Pay Taxes If We Are Broke

Stop the notorious, extravagant spending.

In the late 1700s, the French elite, including Queen Antoinette, on hearing that "The peasants are starving and can't pay their taxes",.... wondered why the peasants didn't eat their cake and pay taxes with their money.  It was unthinkable, for the elite, living the lavish lifestyle, and wanting for nothing, that the peasants had no money to pay the queen's taxes, and therefore, no food either. About all they had was a burning desire to be rid of their French masters ... which they soon accomplished.

Now, 250 years later, our own political, corporate, and social elite have entered that same fog of the inconceivable at the top of the economic pyramid.  They, being at the top of the financial ladder, with plenty of everything, like the French elite, they cannot see the boiling reality of resentment at the bottom of that ladder.
Their tax paying peasants, on the bottom rung, or with feet on the ground, had blood in their eyes as they looked up at the splurging elite.  Our own tax paying American peasants are now beginning to conspire how to get rid of that same bunch of "out of touch" billionaire elites. RB

Here is a sample of the thought process, of those on the bottom rungs... paying the taxes, in America today. RB

Let Them Eat Woke

by Simon Black via Sovereign Man

On October 6, 1789, a group of French peasants surrounded the country estate of King Louis XVI of France and demanded that he and his family relocate to Paris.

The people were sick and tired of the king living the luxurious palace lifestyle at their expense. And, fearing what might happen if he refused, Louis consented to their demand.

The French Revolution was already well underway at that point, sparked in large part by people’s disgust with their out-of-touch aristocracy.

France had been rendered bankrupt by the late 1700s; decades of costly foreign wars, coupled with endless extravagances by the nobility, had completely depleted the treasury.

The government’s solutions alternated between pretending their financial problems didn’t exist, to raising taxes at every possible turn.

The nobles hardly noticed. They lived lavishly while passing on the inflation and tax increases to the peasants.

French aristocrats were either completely clueless, or didn’t care one bit, that their policies were ruining people’s lives.

The Queen, Marie Antoinette, is rumored to have summed up this attitude when she said “Let them eat cake”, in response to hearing how countless peasants were starving.

Most likely that story is just urban legend. However there is plenty of historical evidence that she cared far more about her hair and royal gardens than any plight of the French people.

Her lavish spending was so famous, in fact, that the French used to refer to her as “Madam Déficit”.

And yet— the king, the queen, the nobles— they were the elites. They knew best, and they were in charge of making decisions for everyone else.

You know the rest of the story: the royal couple eventually paid for their conceit with their heads. But that didn’t solve France’s problems.

Soon a wave of radicals took over and formed a new elite (which became known as the Reign of Terror). And just like the old elite, they knew best, and they were in charge of making decisions for everyone else.

This new elite encouraged the population to rat each other out for petty crimes. They printed stupifying quantities of paper money and engineered hyperinflation across the country.

France’s revolutionary history is an incredible example of what happens when a tiny, out of touch group of elites manages to seize power and set the priorities for an entire nation.

We’re experiencing a version of this today in the West.

Prominent media personalities, politicians, tech companies, and self-absorbed social media celebrities, have appointed themselves our cultural nobility and seized the power to dictate just about everything, from how tax dollars are spent, to the words that we’re allowed to say, to how our children are to be educated.

It’s astonishing how quickly it happened, and how much has changed.

For example, it wasn’t that long ago that the entire purpose of the US military was to fight and win wars… and to be the most lethal fighting force in the history of the world.

But today our new elites have changed the priorities. So now instead of the latest weaponry and unit readiness, senior military leaders brag about maternity flight suits, or reducing physical fitness standards in order to be more inclusive.

Twenty years ago the military was about shock and awe. Today the priority has become diversity and inclusion.

Here’s another example: once upon a time, politicians at least paid lip service to fiscal responsibility.

In fact there were numerous government shutdowns and debt ceiling crises in the United States, i.e. political battles to prevent excessive spending, as recently as 2011, 2013, 2018, and 2019.

Today, the new elites have changed the priorities. They tell us that the debt doesn’t matter, and the government can spend as much as it wants.

And with every new massive spending bill, they’re emboldened to spend even more money. It’s been two weeks since the $1.9 trillion ‘Covid’ bill was passed, and they’re already planning a $3 trillion ‘infrastructure’ bill.

Basic fiscal responsibility is simply no longer a priority.

Then there’s education, which used to be about—you know—EDUCATION.

But now that the new elites have taken control, teachers have kids praying to Aztec gods of human sacrifice in order to expunge their whiteness.

Critical Race Theory abounds in schools to teach children they are either victims or oppressors. And the new elite tells us that grading students based on getting the right answer in math class is White supremacy.

Then there’s the media— a once-trusted source of news and information.

Today, under the new elites, the priority is no longer truth. It’s about force-feeding the narrative they want you to believe, whether about Covid, race, politics, climate change, or anything else.

For example, when a deranged lunatic went on a rampage and killed eight people last week in Atlanta, six of whom were Asian, the media immediately reported that the shooting was due to White supremacy.

Yet the FBI said there was no evidence to suggest a racial motivation, and even the killer himself stated that he was motivated by his sex addiction.

But the media kept pounding the White Supremacy story anyhow.

Yahoo News immediately told its audience in a reprinted article entitled “Whiteness is a Pandemic” that

Whiteness is a public health crisis. It shortens life expectancies, it pollutes air, it constricts equilibrium, it devastates forests, it melts ice caps, it sparks (and funds) wars, it flattens dialects, it infests consciousnesses, and it kills people. . .

Naturally this is considered to be perfectly acceptable content, and not racist in any way.

In 18th century France, people were starving, but the elites who ruled them were so out of touch that the prevailing attitude was, let them eat cake!

Today there’s a new elite that makes all the rules. They’ve completely corrupted western civilization. They are fanatics who embrace Marxism, violence, racism, and censorship.

And like the French elites before them, they’re completely out of touch with how much they’re destroying the country and people’s lives. Let them eat woke!

Comprehension Cannot Ride The Tide into A Fork In The River It Cannot See

"And, except a man be born again, he cannot see
the kingdom of God."             Jesus said it in John 3:3.

If you cannot see the holy things of God, you cannot embrace them.
Salvation must be experienced to even begin to comprehend it. Some non-spiritual things, in life, are similar. Experience is indeed the best teacher but experience disavowed may require repeating over and over again until the lesson is learned.           "Tribulation worketh patience".  Rom.5:3.          But if the lesson of patience is not soon learned, the repetition of suffering tribulation will wear down one's health and earn them the reputation of rebellion. But their real  problem is spiritual blindness to the things of God. That was also the problem of of those stumbling, misdirected, unbelievers Jesus referred to in Matt. 15:14 and cautioned his disciples to simply "let them .... alone".  They have a sufficient destiny at river's end  and cannot be intimidated, insulted or convinced against their will.
Sometimes the best advice you can give a fool is none at all.       "Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."      There are ditches of either side of a road, wherever it leads and anyone who gets too far left or right from the center stripe of truth will wind up either in the ditch of hypocrisy or the ditch of depravity.  Each pointing an accusative finger, across the road of truth at "those hypocrites" on the right or "those evildoers" on the left.  Their equally erroneous failure is, they cannot see the things of God because they are spiritually blind. They may want the peace, joy, security, and hope that Christian believers have but they do not want the Christian God telling them what to do or what not to do.

Salvation is a deep personal experience, but it is not comprehended by the unsaved world without their faith in and submission to that one and only God and Jesus Christ as their Savior.  They are lost on the River of Life, seeking safety and deliverance from its raging tide by their own hand or that of other men, or luck. And they cannot see, because they will not, the narrow way which forks off to eternal life but are carried on by the rush of the broad way river which leads to destruction.        "Except a man be born again, he cannot see ...."

Sleep At The Frozen Chosin? Yes, One Eye Open And One Ear Up

We could not sleep when the Frozen Chosin snow
white battles began, each night, in North Korea.

After a day's fight attacking the frozen heights

We chipped out foxholes for the coming nights

Then we saddled down on the frozen ground,

Straining not to make a "here we are" sound,

We lay our weary brains on our frozen rubber boots,

Awaiting the ChiCom nightly concert of tinny toots.

Hugging our 30 below cold 30 cal. guns ...no oil dry,

Lest they freeze, as we waited, one ear up, one open eye.

Half in, half out of our half sleep cold-weather bags,

We cuddled our C-Rat cans, ammo clips, and mags.

Gunny would say, "Look Hard and Listen Loud

We are Marines and we're Marine Corps proud".

So another sleepless night the fights would rage

Till the dawn's air support drove them off the stage.

At sunup we half slept carrying casualties down hill

Then ferried supplies back up half sleeping still.

Yes, we slept, working, looking, and even talking.

The last few miles out of Chosin, I slept walking,

after much of the firing had stopped, but remembered
nothing of events or time it took. Yet no one noticed.
I must have been doing my job whether asleep or just
blacked out, I do not know.  Rayburn Blair USMC

Never Give Up On God's Assignments; Never Quit On Truth, Never

The Power of Never Giving Up

This from Epoch Times

If you feel disappointed, frustrated, or defeated by the way things seem to be going in our country, keep reading because you’re going to hear one of the greatest stories of perseverance in overcoming defeat in American history.

This story will not only bring you hope and inspiration, but also the courage to keep going in the face of difficulties. As the popular saying goes, it’s always darkest before the dawn, and nothing brings us more joy than overcoming difficulties together.

This is the story of one of the most influential American presidents in history. His accomplishments, especially at critical times, set the destiny and direction of our nation. They far surpassed the challenges faced along the way, and they were not minor or few in number.

Americans have President Abraham Lincoln to thank for never giving up.

Abraham Lincoln lost eight elections before becoming the 16th president of the United States. You can find the full record of his life in several historical sources; we’ve gathered these from the book Chicken Soup for the Soul by Jack Canfield. Here are some of Lincoln’s notable defeats.

In 1832, he ran for a seat in the Illinois State Legislature and lost. Two years later, he won and was re-elected three times.

In 1838, he aspired to become speaker of the state legislature and lost.

In 1840, he sought to become an elector in the Electoral College and lost.

In 1843, he ran for the House of Representatives and lost.

When he ran again in 1846, he won.

In 1854, he ran for the U.S. Senate and lost.

In 1856, he sought the vice-presidential nomination at this party’s national convention and got fewer than 100 votes.

In 1858, he ran for the U.S. Senate again and lost again.

Finally, he ran for president in 1860, and things turned out far differently for him and for the nation. The rest, as they say, is history.

Abraham Lincoln kept loyal to his ideals, his beliefs, and his vision for America. What if he had stopped after his first defeat?
___________________________

Common Sense Comment: So what was Lincoln's most obvious strength of character?   Persistence!

Persistence in "his vision for a better America" and the courage and commitment to never give up in accomplishing it.  I can do that. You can do that. We can do that ... together. RB

Most World Changing, Political Decisions Result In Many More Unintended Consequences

Than benefits to the people it was intended to help.

"Welcome new, non-tech, poor, migrants! We want you to have free everything, plus a $15 an hour minimum wage."

OOPS! Kroger kicks off Opening of its first Fully-Automated, Robotic Operated, customer 'Fulfillment Centers'.

Kroger Opens Fully Automated 'Fulfillment Center' As Fears Mount Of Rising Tech Unemployment

With demand for shipped products soaring during the COVID-19 pandemic and foreseeable future, the transition to warehouse automation is already underway - likely to displace warehouse workers and result in rising technological unemployment.

Supermarket chain Kroger opened its first automated warehouse in Bulter County, Ohio, last week, reported Hamilton Journal News. The massive 335,000-square-foot customer fulfillment center is entirely run by robots and artificial intelligence that can put together an order of about 50 items in six minutes compared with 30 to 45 minutes it takes a Kroger employee to pick items from shelves.

So once again, after many years of politicians passing bills to improve the living standard of their constituents, who elected them, their supposed good intentions have motivated inventions to replace all those human hands with engines, automation, and now.... robots.  All of which puts one class of people .... laborers ....out of work .... but opens the doors for another class of people, who can build, maintain and improve those engines, program that automation and improve those robots.  Even though progress is a good thing for most people, those who lost their "hands on" jobs, are left behind without income, and most aren't able to make a quick adjustment. So suddenly there is a shortage of trained techies, geeks and nerds ,,, half of which spoke pot or shoot up drugs.

All of the above is leading our idiot, social planners to another losing Communist remedy ... a universal guaranteed income for all those jobless, or handicapped, or lazy, or drug addicted, or prostituted who are unemployed and dangerously idle. A guaranteed income resonates with a certain personality and inspires them to quit the inconvenient job they have, take the working tax payers' guaranteed government income and stay home and watch TV, eat, and sleep all day and roam the streets at night.  It is a recipe for disaster and will draw millions of such people across our open borders to get that free money, free medical, free housing, free education, and voting rights to elect more Democrats and RINO Republicans to increase our guaranteed incomes.

Our Founding Forefathers and Framers of our Constitution knew human nature and that "certain kind of people" and wrote the Constitution and Bill of Rights to protect our nation from them. That is why the Political Left Wing wants to cancel it.

God's word covered this subject long before the Constitution.

It is found in 2 Thess. 3:10-12

"For even when we were with you, this we commanded

you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread."
