Our Border With Mexico Is A Democrat Disaster

Common Sense Commentary: We have laws, on the books, to
secure our borders. We need no new laws to make our border
areas safe again; but this diabolical administration is not and
will not enforce those laws, nor let our state law enforcement
agencies do so without constant threats, intimidation and law
suites to  prevent them from doing the job they are duty-bound
to do. In my opinion the Republicans in congress are too afraid to
take action to secure the borders ... because they would lose most
Hispanic votes... which they don't have anyway.  The Democrats
want open borders to gain more young, tax paying "citizens" and
more "Democrat" voters to keep themselves in office to continue
their Liberal, Socialist agenda.  They will, therefore, "give"
blanket amnesty to illegal aliens within the next three years.  If
the President can't get Congress to do his biding, he will issue
another "executive order" to accomplish that purpose, and "declare"
it to be law. Then, a long court battle would ensue but in the mean
time, elections would proceed with illegal aliens voting. It would
never be reversed and he could never be tried or brought to justice
for violating the Constitution.... because the president is exempt
from prosecution.   I "declare"them .... Cowards all, who yield to
this injustice without a fight to the death. They are  treasonous
traitors who violate their oath to uphold our U.S. Constitution.  RB

The English Say We Speak American Not English

Common Sense Commentary: You think English is easy because you have spoken it all your life and it is second nature to you.  Not so with foreigners who come here and try to reconcile all the double and triple meanings of the same word. It sounds like Greek to them.  Years ago, when a foreigner came to America, many of our uneducated, unsophisticated citizens thought they were mentally handicapped because they could not speak "plain English" and what they did speak sounded "like gibberish". I even knew a young Marine who, in 1948, when we were in Europe, wondered "why they couldn't speak or even understand American".  Back then, I wondered why he himself, being from Brooklyn, couldn't understand Texian .  Now, all Americans sound about alike, but in 1948, Brooklyn did not speak any kind of understandable English.
They spoke a dialect so different, it was like a  different language.  Here are a few difficulties with our native tongue, to foreigners: RB

1) The bandage was wound around the wound.

2) The farm was used to produce produce.

3) The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse.

4) We must polish the Polish furniture.

5) He could lead if he would get the lead out.

6) The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert.

7) Since there is no time like the present, he thought it was time to present the present.

8) A bass was painted on the head of the bass drum.

9) When shot at, the dove dove into the bushes.

10) I did not object to the object.

11) The insurance was invalid for the invalid.

12) There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row.

13) They were too close to the door to close it.

14) The buck does funny things when the does are present.

15) A seamstress and a sewer fell down into a sewer line.

16) To help with planting, the farmer taught his sow to sow.

17) The wind was too strong to wind the sail.

18) Upon seeing the tear in the painting I shed a tear.

19) I had to subject the subject to a series of tests.

20) How can I intimate this to my most intimate friend?

Let's face it - English is a crazy language. There is no egg in eggplant, nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins weren't invented in England or French fries in France. Sweetmeats are candies while sweetbreads, which aren't sweet, are meat. We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.

And why is it that writers write but fingers don't fing, grocers don't groce and hammers don't ham? If the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn't the plural of booth, beeth? One goose, 2 geese. So one moose, 2 meese? One index, 2 indices? Doesn't it seem crazy that you can make amends but not one amend? If you have a bunch of odds and ends and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it?

If teachers taught, why didn't preachers praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat? Sometimes I think all the English speakers should be committed to an asylum for the verbally insane. In what language do people recite at a play and play at a recital? Ship by truck and send cargo by ship? Have noses that run and feet that smell?

How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and a wise guy are opposites? You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which your house can burn up as it burns down, in which you fill in a form by filling it out and in which, an alarm goes off by going on.

English was invented by people, not computers, and it reflects the creativity of the human race, which, of course, is not a race at all. That is why, when the stars are out, they are visible, but when the lights are out, they are invisible.

PS. - Why doesn't 'Buick' rhyme with 'quick'?
You lovers of the English language might enjoy this...

There is a two-letter word that perhaps has more meanings than any other two-letter word, and that is
'UP.'
It's easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP?
At a meeting, why does a topic come
UP?
Why do we speak
UP and why are the officers UP for election and why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report?
We call
UP our friends.
And we use it to brighten
UP a room, polish UP the silver; we warm UP the leftovers and clean UP the kitchen.
We lock
UP the house and some guys fix UP the old car. At other times the little word has real special meaning.
People stir
UP trouble, line UP for tickets, work UP an appetite, and think UP excuses.
To be dressed is one thing, but to be dressed
UP is special.
A drain must be opened
UP because it is stopped UP.
We open
UP a store in the morning but we close it UP at night.
We seem to be pretty mixed
UP about UP!
To be knowledgeable about the proper uses of
UP, look UP the word UP in the dictionary.
In a desk-sized dictionary, it takes
UP almost 1/4th of the page and can add UP to about thirty definitions.
If you are
UP to it, you might try building UP a list of the many ways UP is used.
It will take
UP a lot of your time, but if you don't give UP, you may wind UP with a hundred or more. When it threatens to rain, we say it is clouding UP.
When the sun comes out we say it is clearing
UP.
When it rains, it wets the earth and often messes things UP.
When it doesn't rain for a while, things dry UP.
One could go on and on, but I'll wrap it UP,
for now my time is
UP, so.......it is time to shut UP!

Lt.General Boykin: What's Now Happening In America

Common Sense Commentary: With national crime levels at historic highs, economic strength at historic lows, illegal aliens flooding in, illegal narcotices a national disaster and morality in the tank, all we need to top it off and sink our ship is Marxism/Communism.  That, it seems, is what we are now getting. God's Top Priority For Every Human Being

Common Sense Commentary:    "For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come." 1 Tim.4:8. This verse clearly emphasizes the pre-eminence of spiritual exercise over physical exercise.  Some Christians quote this verse to prove that physical exercise is of "little" value, but that is not the meaning of the word. The Greek word is "oligos" and is also translated, in other references, as "a little time", "a short time", "a while" and "a season".  So it is saying that "bodily exercise" doesn't last long.  It quickly diminishes to weakness unless it is constantly renewed by more exercise or work.  But spiritual exercise is far more "profitable", expansive and enduring. He isn't negating physical exercise but emphasizing the greater value of "godliness".  Jesus said it is the most important thing we can seek. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness...." Matt.6:33.
Someone once made up a verse of scripture that isn't in the Bible ... "Cleanliness is next to godliness".  I'm not exactly sure what is "next to godliness", but godliness is God's primary purpose for us. It is also called "Christ likeness"." Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." 1 Jn.3:2.

When I was growing up, almost everyone had some spiritual values as a result of the fact that, in America, almost everyone went to church and reverenced the Bible .... even if they were not truly Christian ... the influence was there. In those days, and prior, a clear need for physical conditioning, through hard work primarily, was essential to survival in that hard, physical world. Being strong and able was something required of almost everyone trying to make a living and survive. Nearly every job required strength and endurance ... even more than intelligence. Labor was exalted and motivated the establishment of "Labor Day". The most common compliment of someone used to be, "He/She is a hard worker".  A prison sentence to "Hard Labor" meant exactly that. Prisoners did not sit around all day watching TV, playing cards, reading or bored to death; they worked and produced something worth while. Now they lift weights in self defence, hang out with their gangs and look for offences and "disrespect" against themselves. In today's America, hard work is something to be avoided ... two four letter words compounded by each other. Some people have enough character to enjoy hard work but they are in the minority. Stealing and pushing drugs looks like the easy way to avoid work, but that costs a person everything else of value.

Work was the third commandment for Adam and Eve, in the Garden of Eden. First was "Be fruitful and multiply", second was to take "dominion of the earth"; and third was to "dress and keep" the garden.  That's why God put muscles on us ... but in today's high-tech and intelligenic world, it's all about science, medicine, money, technology, education and globalization. Spirituality and morality have been jettisoned and physical agility and ability are a spare tire, under the back bumper of brain power. Almost everything is OK and acceptable these days but Christ, Christianity and Christian principles..... which are the ultimate and absolute top priority on God's list of most important human endeavour. But in such a distracted world, who cares what God thinks .... except these "radical religious, factional fanatics .... like old Rayburn Blair over there.  RB

Do Those Who Know You Trust Your Word?

Common Sense Commentary: "And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground." 1Sam.3:19.

In the frontier days, life was harsh and even deadly. A man's life was constantly in danger; often hinging on his horse, a horse shoe, a flooded river, hostile indians, a snake's rattle or another man's word. A man's "word was his bond", as they said back then. If his word couldn't be trusted, HE couldn't be trusted, and might cause the death or injury of others. That is why, if you called another man a liar or even questioned what he said, he might very well kill you. His own life and well being, where there was little law, courts or contracts, rested on other people's trust of him and his word. If you threw his word into question, you were putting his and his family's security and even survival in jeopardy. So he would put your life in jeopardy.  It was a matter of self-defence.

It may not be that way today, but a person's word is still just as important as it ever was ... in the eyes of God and all honest people. A broken word is a broken credit rating, broken trust, broken job application, even higher interest rates, higher insurance costs and lost opportunities which you never understood the reason for.  Someone looked at your credit rating or already knew your word meant nothing to you.

If your word means nothing, your character, reputation and honesty mean nothing. Your word is one of the few things that reveals who you really are; your true self, the content of your character. Not living up to your word is simply lying, deceiving and misleading. Your word is a vow, and your promise, or it is a lie. It is another lie to justify the first lie by saying, "Oh I forgot" or "I would have kept my word but..." If you truly forgot or were delayed for some good reason, at the first remembrance or opportunity you would have called to apologize and reaffirm your intention to do what you said you would do ... and when.

Almost invariably, habitual liars are simultaneously blind to their own lies, and exaggerations, while strenuously campaigning against those they suspect and accuse of lying. As a thief thinks nobody is to be trusted, a liar thinks everybody is a liar.   "Therefore thou art inexcusable .... for thou that judgest doest the same things." Rom.2:1.

Guard your word more than your money and as much as you guard your life.... because it affects every other part of your life and your family's life. Guard it as you guard your Christian testimony because it IS your testimony. RB

"My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly." Job 33:3.  "For truly my words shall not be false." Job 36:4.

Is your word....
Your promise or perjury,
your contract or con-job,
your pledge or prevarication,
your validation or vacillation,
your predisposition or perversion,
your factum or fabrication,
your exactness or exaggeration,
your truth or treachery?     RB

The Quote Of The Century

Common Sense Commentary:   Almost exactly seven years ago, now President Obama, stood and made the following critical comments concerning the politicians who preceded him in National office.  He was primarily blaming the then Republican President for the problem, but Democrats were in control of the Congress... and spending. The fact is that both houses of Congress and all recent Presidents were to blame, but more especially the most Liberal and Socialistic party which did most of the spending ...his own party.  In the last four years, President Obama has far more than doubled the National debt he inherited, which took a hundred years to reach. His words of condemnation are so ironic, considering the mammoth debt he has since added, as to be "The wash pot calling the tea kettle black". This could the quote of the century. RB

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America 's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America 's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, 'the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

Struggle Is An Opportunity Filled With Possibilities

Common Sense Commentary: "Who knows whether you have come into the world for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14. ***

STRUGGLE

By Napoleon Hill

"The necessity for struggle is one of the clever devices through which nature forces individuals to expand, develop, progress, and become strong through resistance. Life, from birth until death is literally an unbroken record of an ever increasing variety of struggles, which no individual can avoid.

Mastery of ignorance calls for struggle. Education involves eternal struggle, and every day is commencement day because education is cumulative. It is a lifetime job. The accumulation of material riches abounds in the necessity for struggle. Maintenance of sound physical health calls for eternal struggle with the multifarious enemies of sound health; struggle for food and shelter; struggle for an opportunity to earn a living; struggle to hold a job; struggle to gain recognition in a profession; struggle to keep a business out of bankruptcy.

We are forced to recognize that this great universal necessity for struggle must have a definite and useful purpose. That purpose is to force individuals to sharpen their wits, arouse their enthusiasm, build up their spirit of Faith, gain definiteness of purpose, develop their power of will, inspire their faculty of imagination to give them new uses for old ideas and concepts, and thereby fulfill some unknown mission for which he or she may have been born. ***

Struggle keeps man from going to sleep with self-satisfaction or laziness, and forces him onward and upward in the fulfillment of his mission in life ***, and he thereby makes his individual contribution to whatever may be the Universal Purpose of mankind on earth. Strength, both physical and spiritual, is the product of struggle! 'do the thing,' said Emerson, 'and you shall have the power.' Meet the struggle and master it, says nature, and you shall have strength and wisdom sufficient for all your needs.

In every form of life, atrophy and death come from idleness! When any individual reconciles himself to the state of mind wherein he is willing to accept largess from the government, instead of supplying his needs through personal initiative, that individual is on the road to decay and spiritual blindness. When a majority of the people of any nation give up their inherited prerogative right to make their own way through struggle, history shows clearly that the entire nation is in a tailspin of decay that inevitably must end in extinction. The individual who not only is willing to live on the public treasury, but demands that he be fed from it, is already dead spiritually.

There may be some pain in most forms of struggle, but nature compensates the individual for the pain in the form of power and strength and wisdom which come from practical experience. From my experiences with struggle I discover that the Creator never singles out an individual for an important service to mankind without first testing him, through struggle, in proportion to the nature of the service he is to render. I have gained from my struggle something of great and profound value. It is recognition that through my struggles I have reached deeply into the spiritual wells of my soul, and there I have found powers available for every purpose I may desire - powers I never knew I possessed, and never would have discovered except by the means of struggle!

Peace of mind is not possible without the capacity for panoramic vision of the entire picture and purpose of life. We must recognize that our individual incarnation, through which we are tossed into this material world without ceremony and without our consent, was for a purpose above and beyond our individual pleasures and desires. Once we understand this broader purpose of life we become reconciled to the experience of struggle we must undergo while passing this way, and we accept them as circumstances of opportunity through which we may prepare ourselves for still higher and better planes of existence than the one on which we now dwell."

"But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."  Matt.19:26.

Napolean Hill did not believe in accomplishing the impossible but rather, that almost anything is within the realm of possibility, if a person has a free-ranging brain, unwavering faith and works hard enough on what appears to be impossible... it can be done.

Hill's works examined the power of personal beliefs, and the role they play in personal success.  "What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve" is one of Hill's hallmark expressions. How achievement actually occurs, and a formula for it that puts success in reach of the average person, were the focal points of Hill's books.

Who, in their right mind, a few years ago, would have believed the hundreds of near impossible things being accomplished today could possibly be accomplished?  Here is an example, which can be seen, of what I mean. RB

Gun Protection Facts Fell Through The Cracks

Common Sense Commentary:  Far more lives have been saved by guns in the hands of good citizens than have been taken by guns in the wrong hands. It's an unreported fact.

Did you know....
.
• A 1997 high school shooting in Pearl, Miss., was halted by the school's vice principal after he retrieved the Colt .45 he kept in his truck.

• A 1998 middle school shooting ended when a man living next door heard gunfire and apprehended the shooter with his shotgun.

• A 2002 a terrorist attack at an Israeli school was quickly stopped by an armed teacher and a school guard.

• A 2002 college law school shooting in Grundy, Va., came to an abrupt conclusion when students carrying firearms confronted the shooter.

• A 2007 mall shooting in Ogden, Utah, ended when an armed off-duty police officer intervened.

• A 2009 a workplace shooting in Houston, Texas, was halted by two coworkers who carried concealed handguns.

• A 2012 church shooting in Aurora, Colo., was stopped by a member of the congregation carrying a gun.

• In a 2012 mall shooting in Clackamas, Ore., the gunman took his own life minutes after being confronted by a shopper carrying a concealed weapon.

2500 times last year alone legal gun owners stopped violent crime when confronted with it long before any police assistance arrived.

Of course, you probably didn't know any of this because the mainstreet media doesn't find it worth reporting. It's not sensational enough and doesn't fit with their Liberal agenda.

What's unreasonable is people who think removing gun rights from responsible people will somehow keep them safe from insane and unreasonable people.

Florida has the most concealed weapons permits and the lowest violent crime rate in the US. Chicago has the toughest antigun laws in the country, and yet kills more people than are killed in the Middle East conflicts. Go figure.

Paving The Way For The Antichrist

Common Sense Commentary:
Common Sense Commentary: First Baptist Church of Dallas is one of the great churches of our time. Though many Southern Baptist Churches have gone far astray of the "way" of Christ and the Bible, this is one of the really solid ones. Truth be told, many "Fundamental" churches have also gone astray. It must be pointed out how much courage it takes for a pastor of a so called "Mega-church" to stand where Pastor Jeffress stands. I commend him and, which is more, God must also smile upon this true soldier of the cross. Here is an article which appeared in Christian Post just before the election of President Obama last November. RB
By Michael Gryboski , Christian Post Reporter
November 8, 2012|11:46 am

A Texas megachurch pastor recently claimed that President Barack Obama's re-election victory would lead to the rise of the Antichrist.

Robert Jeffress, senior pastor at the First Baptist Church in Dallas, made remarks on Sunday before the election that should Obama win, his victory would lead to the reign of the Antichrist.
"I want you to hear me tonight, I am not saying that President Obama is the Antichrist, I am not saying that at all. One reason I know he's not the Antichrist is the Antichrist is going to have much higher poll numbers when he comes," said Jeffress.
"President Obama is not the Antichrist. But what I am saying is this: the course he is choosing to lead our nation is paving the way for the future reign of the Antichrist."
Jeffress would go on to say that "it is time for Christians to stand up and to push back against this evil that is overtaking our nation" and to do so via "the ballot box."
This is not the first time that Jeffress has garnered controversy for his remarks regarding major political figures. During the Family Research Council's "Values Voters Summit" in October of last year, Jeffress called Mormonism a cult.

"Mitt Romney is a Mormon, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise. Even though he talks about Jesus as his Lord and savior, he is not a Christian. Mormonism is not Christianity. Mormonism is a cult," said Jeffress, who was supporting Texas Gov. Rick Perry's bid to become the GOP presidential nominee.
"It's a little hypocritical for the last eight years to be talking about how important it is for us to elect a Christian president and then turn around and endorse a non-Christian."
Jeffress' remarks received much criticism, both for his refusal to vote for someone over their religious beliefs and because in the opinions of some there had been a different understanding as to what the word "cult" meant in the context Jeffress was using.
In a column for The Christian Post, Dr. Richard Land noted the disparity between how Jeffress used the word "cult" and how the public perceived it.
"The problem is that while Mormonism may technically be a cult theologically, in that it has moved well beyond the parameters of orthodox, apostle's creed Trinitarian Christianity, it does not behave as a cult culturally or socially," wrote Land.
"Most people would tell you that Mormons are solid citizens and among the nicest and most moral people they know."
Despite the statements made at the VVS in October, as Romney gained the nomination Jeffress proceeded to voice his support for the Mormon candidate.
"I haven't changed my tune … In fact, I never said Christians should not vote for Mitt Romney. When I talked about his theology," said Jeffress in an interview with Fox News.
"I still maintain there are vast differences in theology between Mormons and Christians, but we do share many of the same values, like the sanctity of life and religious freedom."

Matthew 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

Matthew 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

Matthew 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

Matthew 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Matthew 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Matthew 24:25 Behold, I have told you before.

Homeland Security Needs 5 Bullets For Every American

Common Sense Commentary: For what earthly reason could "Homeland Security" need  1.625 billion rounds of ammunition. They are not the US Army or Marines  preparing to defend our nation against foreign attacks. Their primary job is searching passengers at airports and ports of entry. Are they anticipating being attacked or attacking.... And who do they consider their primary enemy?  There are only 314 million people in the United States.  That's over 5 bullets for every man, woman and child in the nation. And this while they are trying to disarm all civilians. RB

DHS Purchases 21.6 Million More Rounds of Ammunition

Federal agency has now acquired enough bullets to wage 30 year war

The Department of Homeland Security is set to purchase a further 21.6 million rounds of ammunition to add to the 1.6 billion bullets it has already obtained over the course of the last 10 months alone, figures which have stoked concerns that the federal agency is preparing for civil unrest.

A solicitation posted yesterday on the Fed Bid website details how the bullets are required for the DHS Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico.
The solicitation asks for 10 million pistol cartridge .40 caliber 165 Grain, jacketed Hollow point bullets (100 quantities of 100,000 rounds) and 10 million 9mm 115 grain jacketed hollow point bullets (100 quantities of 100,000 rounds).
The document also lists a requirement for 1.6 million pistol cartridge 9mm ball bullets (40 quantities of 40,000 rounds).
An approximation of how many rounds of ammunition the DHS has now secured over the last 10 months stands at around 1.625 billion. In March 2012, ATK announced that they had agreed to provide the DHS with a maximum of 450 million bullets over four years, a story that prompted questions about why the feds were buying ammunition in such large quantities. In September last year, the federal agency purchased a further 200 million bullets.
To put that in perspective, during the height of active battle operations in Iraq, US soldiers used 5.5 million rounds of ammunition a month. Extrapolating the figures, the DHS has purchased enough bullets over the last 10 months to wage a full scale war for almost 30 years.
Such massive quantities of ammo purchases have stoked fears that the agency is preparing for some kind of domestic unrest. In 2011, Department of Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano directed Immigration and Customs Enforcement to prepare for a mass influx of immigrants into the United States, calling for the plan to deal with the “shelter” and “processing” of large numbers of people.
The federal agency’s primary concern is now centered around thwarting “homegrown terrorism,” but information produced and used by the DHS to train its personnel routinely equates conservative political ideology with domestic extremism.
A study funded by the Department of Homeland Security that was leaked last year characterizes Americans who are “suspicious of centralized federal authority,” and “reverent of individual liberty” as “extreme right-wing” terrorists.
In August 2012, the DHS censored information relating to the amount of bullets purchased by the federal agency on behalf of Immigration & Customs Enforcement, citing an “unusual and compelling urgency” to acquire the bullets, noting that there is a shortage of bullets which is threatening a situation that could cause “substantial safety issues for the government” should law enforcement officials not be adequately armed.
As we highlighted last month, the DHS’ previous ammunition solicitation was awarded to Evian Group, an organization that was formed just five days before the announcement of the solicitation and appeared to be little more than a front organization since it didn’t have a genuine physical address, a website, or even a phone number.
While Americans are being browbeaten with rhetoric about the necessity to give up semi-automatic firearms in the name of preventing school shootings, the federal government is arming itself to the teeth with both ammunition and guns. Last September, the DHS purchased no less than 7,000 fully automatic assault rifles, labeling them “Personal Defense Weapons.”

Hate's Wounds Are Greater To The Hater

Common Sense Commentary:   "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar...."  1 Jn.4:20

Love blesses the giver of love more that the receiver. To love someone does me more good, in every way, than it does for them. It doesn't matter whether they love me or not. It's nice if they do, but it's the love in my heart that brings with it the greater good to me.  Even if the person I love, hates me, I would rather be the target of hate than the hater. For hate rots the soul of the hateful, but only hurts the person hated if they let it.

Though hate is an offensive, dangerous weapon, which causes immense damage, it is, nevertheless, more damaging to the health and heart that hates than to the object of it.

Therefore, if you just cannot love someone, don't let your dislike grow into hatred ... lest your self inflicted wounds exceed those of your hate's target.

New Oklahoma Laws Set Example & Lead The Way

Common Sense Commentary: Liberal Socialists say this violates "Public Policy Law".
Oklahoma says it emphasizes, highlights, spotlights, accentuates and re-establishes our U.S. Constitutional Law, which Liberal Socialists have been violating for years, and it's gonna stop in Oklahoma to attend it's own funeral.  Spread the obituary. RB

New Oklahoma Laws

From Truth Or Fiction

Oklahoma will publicly display the Ten Commandments-Truth!
Oklahoma will collect DNA samples for a federal database from criminals and illegal aliens -Truth!
Oklahoma will deport illegal aliens if arrested for criminal activity -Truth!
Oklahoma will declare itself a sovereign state -Truth!
Oklahoma gun law confirms the right to bear arms -Truth!

Summary of the eRumor: A forwarded email about a number of bills passed in the state of Oklahoma. The email says that the state voted to approve the display of the Ten Commandments near the state capitol and a recent bill will allow law enforcement to deport criminals that are caught in the state and are in the country without permission. Another law passed that will allow law enforcement to collect DNA samples from criminals and illegal aliens for the national database. Other laws passed include one to declare state sovereignty and uphold the right to bear arms.

The Truth: These new laws in the state of Oklahoma are true.

Oklahoma House bill 1330 authorized a monument resembling the Ten Commandments to be placed in the State Capitol Park in Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma House passed a final version of the bill by a vote of 83-2, on April 23, 2009. The Oklahoma Senate had passed it on a vote of 37-9. Click for Pyro Daily Times article.
On April 23, 2009, House Bill 2245 passed in the Oklahoma Senate with a vote of 43 to 0. The Oklahoma Criminal Illegal Alien Rapid Repatriation Act of 2009 "would allow the Oklahoma Department of Corrections to immediately send inmates who are in the country illegally to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation." Click for KTUL article.
State Bill 1102 would require that illegal aliens and criminals convicted of a host of misdemeanor crimes submit themselves to DNA sample collection from law enforcement and data to be entered into a federal database. Named after a University of Oklahoma ballet student raped and killed in 1996, the bill was approved April 20, 2009. Click for article.
Oklahoma's House Concurrent Resolution 1028 will give the state sovereignty. The resolution’s author, state Rep. Charles Key, R-Oklahoma City, told reporters, "The point of the resolution is to tell federal lawmakers and the president to stick to their jobs as outlined in the U.S. Constitution and quit handing out federal money to failing companies." There are several other states sovereignty movements in the nation including Texas, California and Alaska. Click for Oklahoman news article.
House Bill 1025 was passed by the Oklahoma house by a vote 70-8 which would make it a misdemeanor for employers to inquire if job applicants own a gun according to May 13,2009. HB 1025 is on its way to the Senate for a vote. Click for Oklahoman news article.

A real example of the eRumor as it has appeared on the Internet:

An update from Oklahoma.
The state law passed today, 37 to 9, had a few liberals in the mix, an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol. The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake. Hey this is a conservative state, based on Christian values...! Guess what..........We did it anyway.
We recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from, unless they want to get a green card and become an American citizen. They all scattered. Hope we didn't send any of them to your state. This was against the advice of the Federal Government, and the ACLU, they said it would be a
mistake. Guess what..........we did it anyway.
Yesterday we passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegals to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative purposes. Pelosi said it was unconstitutional. Guess what........We did it anyway.
Several weeks ago, we passed a law, declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives. That, for your information, makes Oklahoma and Texas the only states to do so. Guess what.........More states are likely to follow. Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, both Carolina's, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, just to name a few. Should Mississippi act, so will Florida. The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns. Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles. I'm sure that was a set back for the Kennedy;s and Ms Pelosi.
Guess what..........We did it anyway. By the way, Obama does not like any of this. Guess what....who cares...were doing it anyway.

Now that the example has been set by Oklahoma, "Where the wind comes sweeping down the plains..." put the pressure on your state to do the same. It may be the only way we can "sweep" out this Liberal Socialist dust and mud steamroller undermining our US Constitution, Freedom and Christian Morals. RB

Heart Attack Avoidance And Action Information

Common Sense Commentary:   The best thing to do in almost every situation is almost always .... just Common Sense.  A good habit to cultivate is to practice letting the common sense remedy or answer guide your decisions and actions ... on automatic pilot. This is most effective when your heart and mind are already full of the word of God. RB

Heart Attack and Water
How many times have you heard someone say they don't want to drink anything before going to bed because they'll have to get up during the night ?

Why are so many people awakened during the night to urinate ?
Cardiologists answer:
Gravity holds water in the lower part of your body when you are upright (legs swell). When you lie down and the lower body (legs etc) is level with the kidneys, it is then that the kidneys remove the water because it is easier.

We need  several glasses of  water each day to help flush the toxins out of our bodies.
The best times to drink water to maximize its effectiveness on the body:
2 glasses of water after waking up - helps activate internal organs.
1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal - helps digestion.
1 glass of water before taking a bath - helps lower blood pressure.
1 glass of water before going to bed - helps avoid stroke or heart attack
and helps relieve leg cramps.  Your leg muscles are seeking hydration
when they cramp and wake you up.

Mayo clinic aspirin information:

Dr. Virend Somers, is a Cardiologist at Mayo Clinic, and author of a report in the July 29, 2008 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. The report shows that most heart attacks occur in the day-time, generally between 6 A.M. And noon. Having one during the night, when the heart should be most at rest, usually means  something unusual is happening. Somers and his colleagues have been working for a decade to show that sleep apnea is usually to blame.

1. If you take an aspirin each day, take it at night with water.
The reason: Aspirin has a 24-hour "half-life"; therefore, if a heart attack happens in the early hours of the morning, the aspirin would be at it's strongest in your system.

2. Aspirin lasts a really long time (years) in your medicine chest. When it gets old, it smells like vinegar.

3. It's a good idea to keep a couple of aspirin, with water, by your bedside in case.

Other symptoms:

There are other symptoms of a heart attack, besides  pain in the left arm. Sometimes it's an intense pain in the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating; however, these symptoms may also occur less frequently. There may even be NO pain in the chest during a heart attack.

If it happens to you:

The majority of people (about 60%) who had a heart attack during their sleep were not awakened by it. However, if it occurs, the pain may awaken you, of course. If that happens, immediately chew  and swallow two aspirins with water.  Then call 911 and a neighbor, friend or relative if one lives near by. Say "heart attack" and "I have taken two aspirins and called 911", unlock the front door, sit near it. and wait for their arrival. ...DO NOT LIE DOWN!  Force yourself to cough every few second while awaiting  treatment.

When Your Life's Work Turns To Ashes

..................Rayburn Blair..................

When your marriage rips itself apart,
And your home becomes your house

When pain takes love's place in your heart,
And your Darling becomes your spouse

When you hope and pray for a new start,
But you see no possible way

When your life's work turns to ashes,
And those you love most turn away

When your good health fails and crashes,
And your savings turn to dust

You can still turn by faith to Jesus,
And turn to Him you must

For there is no blessed hope but Jesus,
And there is no lasting trust.

Youngest Members Of Congress Are Best???

Common Sense Commentary: Is it possible that the youngest members of the U.S. Congress are better, wiser and more honest than the old, comatose ones ... who got us into this national mess and now refuse to start doing the right thing for a change? Thank God for this sweet, breath of fresh air blowing through the halls of Congress... replacing the stale, ill smelling smog and hot air which has been suffocating them and the nation for so long. The whole cage of canaries have long since breathed their last breath and the coal mine is perilously noxious.... but maybe there is hope ... enter Marco Rubio and Rand Paul with the Tea Party rescue team. "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ"

Common Sense Commentary:  "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus...." Phil.2:5.

There is no person on earth from whom we cannot learn something. Babies will teach you ... how to deal with babies or some other amazing revelation about their precious individuality or complexity. If nothing else, they will teach you patience. If not that, diaper humility. A retarded person who seems to have no knowledge to communicate, can teach us in similar, unique ways. We once had a young, retarded man in our mission who, if you gave him your date of birth could instantly tell you what day of the week that fell on, and he was always right.  Even an intolerable human being has something to teach, that you don't know, if only ... "not be be like that."

I have learned some of the best and most important lessons of life from what appeared to be the most unlikely people. We must cultivate the ability to keep our busy minds open to recognize opportunities of learning from everyone God puts in our path, and our "Jesus purpose" for being in their path. They are there for a purpose. God does nothing by mistake or accident. Everyone and everything that happens to us has within it His .... "purpose". "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Rom.8:28.

Do not dismiss or underestimate the importance of every single human being. You will miss some of the most blessed moments in life if you are not sensitive to the eternal importance of all people... to God.  And if to God ... certainly to us. RB

Greatest Opportunities Come To Us In Suffering

Common Sense Commentary:   "And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birthAnd his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?   Jesus answered, Neither.... but that the works of God should be made manifest in him." Jn.9:1-3.
The question His disciples asked of Jesus, was totally irrelevant to the need of this blind man. They were obviously looking for someone to blame for the blind man's condition.  But, Jesus redirected their negative response, to the man's difficulty and suffering, to a positive view of this serious handicap put upon the poor man from birth.  He said, in effect, you are, yourselves,  blind to the opportunity God has blessed you with.... The man is not blind because of anyone's sins "but that the works of God might be demonstrated, in his healing, for the whole world to see how great God is.  It's an opportunity to do something wonderful, beneficial and eternal."

The question for us is, Do we judge those who suffer ... as sinners, above other sinners, and assume that God is punishing them?  Or do we give them our verbal sympathy ... rather that a helping hand?  Or do we see the suffering of others as a God given opportunity to serve Him by helping them?

Human flesh is nothing in eternity, and therefore... very little in the present. Human suffering is most important in, first, the response of others to the person suffering and second, in how the suffering person reacts to their own situation.  By this I mean, God may very well be testing those who are aware of the suffering person's problem more than the person who suffers.  When we see a person in great pain, sickness, depression desperation, hunger or heart break, do we respond with prayer, counsel, food, money or love: or do we give kind and gentle, verbal expressions of regret and sympathy.... and nothing else?
"If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food; And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?" Jm.2:15-16.

Consider the fact it may be you who is in first position as the one being tested by God, more than the person doing the suffering.

Then, of course, sooner or later, you and I will get our turn at being the suffering ones.  How will we handle it?  Will we criticize and resent those who neglect us, or whine and blame someone... or God Himself, for our painful dilemma?  Will we turn to God for our primary solace or seek it from other people ... and be disappointed at the level of their ability and concern to help us? I have seen this reaction a thousand times.

Looking at suffering objectively, one must realize that there is far more suffering among all the hundreds of people around us than there is in you or me personally. That fact is a revelation of spiritual opportunity. There is never a time when a non-Christian is more likely to respond to Christ than when in crisis and being helped by a Christian witness.  The same is true of a disengaged, backsliden Christian who is a prospect to become an active member of your church fellowship.... if they see Christ in you. These are the times and reasons God left us here on this needy, suffering earth .... after He saved us. This is our responsibility, and opportunity, as Christians.

"If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food; And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?" Jm.2:15-16.

Most Ironic, Jolting Speech By Bold Black Doctor

Common Sense Commentary: The speech was actually given to The National Prayer Breakfast, by Dr. Benjamin Carson, but the President sat through it, looking bored, and without applause.  It was not just indescribable courage which motivated him to say what he said, but absolute commitment to God and love for our country. Prison/Jail & U.S. Population Demographics

Common Sense Commentary: I print the following population and prison/jail demographics, not as a result of discrimination, on my part, but as a matter of fact, in response to a question which arose as a result of my blog on higher rates of  unbelief in some parts of the US as compared to others.  When the truth is politically incorrect, and certain civil facts cannot be discussed in our country, without recrimination, freedom of speech, and freedom itself, will have been buried, with our US Constitution, under a gravestone marked ..."Freedom died, Tyranny  prevailed".

According to the US Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), Males accounted for 89.2% of total prison and jail population, in the US, in 2009. Females accounted for only 10.8%.  Now, tell me, is the nearly 1000% higher percentage of men incarcerated, compared to women incarcerated, an injustice to men or sexual discrimination against men, or is it simply a fact that men commit more crimes than women?  As a man, should I be insulted and feel discriminated against when that fact is mentioned?  No, of course not, if I am not a criminal. By the same token, blacks and Hispanics should not be insulted or feel discriminated against, if they are not criminals, by the following demographics reported by the US Bureau of Justice Statistics. "The truth shall make you free."

According to the US Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) non-Hispanic blacks accounted for 39.4% of the total prison and jail population in 2009. Blacks, including Hispanicblacks, accounted for 41% of total prison and jail inmates. According to the 2010 census of the US Census Bureau blacks (including Hispanicblacks) comprised 13.6% of the total US population.

Hispanics (from wherever) were 20.6% of total jail and prison inmates in 2009. Hispanics comprised 16.3% of the total US population according to the 2010 US census. The Northeast has the highest incarceration rates of Hispanics in the nation.
The Hispanic community is not monolithic, and thus there are variations, even with incarceration rates. Among the Hispanic community, Puerto Ricans have the highest incarceration rate, and are up to six times more likely to be incarcerated than whites, and may explain the higher incarceration rates for Hispanics in the Northeast region. Illegal immigrants, usually Mexican nationals, also make up a substantial number of Hispanics incarcerated.
In 2010 black non-Hispanic males were incarcerated at the rate of 4,347 inmates per 100,000 U.S. residents of the same race and gender. White males were incarcerated at the rate of 678 inmates per 100,000 U.S. residents. Hispanic males were incarcerated at the rate of 1,755 inmates per 100,000 U.S. residents.

Census data for 2000, which included a count of the number and race of all individuals incarcerated in the United States, showed for each state that the proportion of blacks in prison populations exceeded the proportion of whites among state residents in every state. In twenty states, the percent of blacks incarcerated was at least five times greater than their share of resident population.

A Technology, Medical, Solar, Commodity, Precious Metals Investment In One

Common Sense Commentary:  An interesting contradiction:  How almost everyone, if not everyone, grows up with certain pre-conceived, but erronious prejudices and miss-conceptions that displace clear, obvious reality, facts, and truth itself.

For over 200 years there has been an undue, negative mind-set, in America, against silver and gold, among Christians. The very same persons may speak of the possession of silver and gold as a sign of greed, while they themselves are covetous of their own salaries, savings, investments, nice homes and thousands of dollars worth of stuff, is OK.  Not one of those silver-phoebes who sneer at "those greedy possessors of silver and gold", would turn down a raise in pay or a large profit. And even if others are oblivious to all kinds of "wealth", they are not neutral on food, clothing, heat, cooling, home, bed, car, gas, vacations and all their "stuff" that costs "m o n e y".  I once saw a movie in which the pretty little wife said to her millionaire husband, who had just lost everything, including the mansion and contents, "I don't care a thing about money ..... I just want all my stuff."  Some people cannot see the absolute correlation of "stuff" to "money".  No money, no stuff, no food, no home, no car, no nothing.... of a physical nature. If you say, "God gave it to me, without money." Yes, but God also gave money to the person He used to give it to you. Even if you dug it out of the dumpster, somebody, somewhere paid for it unless it was manna falling from the sky, and you are Moses.

I call my favorite investment, "high tech", but it is also an investment in Medical, Solar, Wind Power, Commodities, Energy, and Precious Metals.  In fact, everything is affected by it even including, as of recently, odorless clothing and enduring lumber, by the application of tiny amounts of silver.

The fact is, of the 300 plus times silver is mentioned in the Bible, almost all of those times it is in a positive light .... not a negative one.  Why those "silver haters" focus on the few negative references, I can't say, but it is a judgemental miss-conception and a bit hypocritical. "Judge not, that ye be not judged." Jesus in Matt.7:1.

LivingBodyEternalSoulPerson

Common Sense Commentary: "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness...." Gen.1:26.

"And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground (body) and breathed (spirit) into his nostrils (body) the breath of life (spirit); and man became a living soul."  (Soul is Heb. wd. nephesh). Gen.2:7.

Humanity began as a lifeless, clay, man doll created in the "image" (physical man) of his Creator. This word, "image" is the Heb. word "Tselem" and means "formed image".  It speaks of a physical image of a yet higher reality's "appearance"... (God).

Then the Creator "breathed" into the physical doll-like image's nostrils "the breath of life". The Heb. word "breath", here, is "neshamah" and means to "inspire" (breathe in a spirit). It speaks of the spiritual ... spirit, mind, breath of God, or LIFE. This breath of life, then, is in the "likeness" of God. The brain is a fleshly part of the body, not the mind; it contains the mind as the body contains the spirit and life. When the body dies, it is the spirit life which departs and leaves the body in it's original state ... dust to dust.

At the moment God breathed life into man, at that instant, the clay, man doll-like image "became a living soul" (Heb. Nephesh). This Heb. word translated "soul", here, is translated 33 different, but all related, English words.  I won't list them all, but if they could all be programed into a divine, heavenly  computer and homogenized into a single word, it would surely be something like, "Livingbodyeternalsoulperson".

The limitations of physical, human understanding and language, spoken by fleshly tongues, make it humanly impossible to speak God's divine thoughts and words, or hear them, in an exact human counterpart or translation, except in a kindergarten level, version which is truly inspired, nevertheless: And, is perfect in it's divine origin and eternal in it's truths, but geared to human understanding, only as empowered by the Holy Spirit. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God...." 2 Tim.3:16.  The Scriptures are not Christ, who is the "Living Word" of God (Jn.1) but, they are, as a portrait of Christ, the written word or God. The Holy Spirit is absolutely essential in understanding God's written word, the Bible. "When he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth...." Jn.16:13.

The mind of man can neither capture nor fully comprehend the eternal glory (power, knowledge, presence and holiness) of our God. He empowers us to understand all we need to know to be saved, to worship Him, to lead others to him and to function as a human being. RB

Plain Old Circ Silver Dollar Up By 3290 % & Rising

Common Sense Commentary:  Management of our Time, Talent, Thoughts, Business, Body, Family, Possessions, Church, City, State and Nation are all "good stewardship"  responsibilities.  Stewardship involves far more than your money.... but it does include money also. Obedience to Biblical "good stewardship" today protects us against the bad results of the bad stewardship of others .... tomorrow.  We can do little to force those in power over us to be good stewards of our taxes, city, state and nation, although voting is also a stewardship responsibility.... and we can do that. It is my studied conclusion that accumulating a few old silver coins could become the best financial investment, at this point in history, anyone could possibly make. I am publishing two blogs on this subject.  The first includes the article below. The second entitled, "A Technology, Medical, Solar, Commodity, Precious Metals Investment In One" will come out tomorrow. RB

Everyone Should Own A Little Silver

by Al Doyle for CoinWeek ………
Every American should own at least a little silver. No weaseling around, no exceptions.
What kind of radical declaration is that? If it seems like something straight from a Ron Paul rally, keep in mind that what I’m proposing is really a very old and proven idea.. It’s amazing what nearly a half century can do to obliterate the truth.
Regardless of income, just about every American was a silver owner until 1965. Dimes, quarters, half dollars and silver dollars struck in a .900 fine alloy were the stuff of pocket change. Silver coinage was so routine that no one gave it a second thought. Even though gold ownership had been largely banned since 1933, honest silver money was a way of life, and more so in the west.
Montana residents routinely turned down $1 bills and demanded silver dollars in change. What was seen as a convenience (paper money) elsewhere wasn’t sought in Montana, where locals often accumulated cartwheels. Morgan and Peace dollars were also a common item at Las Vegas casinos.
Does it make any difference if the round metal things in pockets or purses are silver or base metal? This very simple example will show what takes place when a nation cranks up the printing presses and abandons sound money for an inferior product.
What would happen if your grandfather placed $2 in a drawer 50 years ago (1963), and the money was just discovered? In this instance, it was a new 1963 $1 Federal Reserve note (the first issue of $1 FRNs) and a circulated, common as dirt 1921 Morgan or 1922 Peace dollar.
Those items were interchangeable in 1963, and the paper currency or the silver dollar bought four gallons of gas during the Kennedy administration. The same $1 would have obtained five McDonald’s hamburgers (15 cents each) and two sodas (10 cents apiece). Round up the 95-cent total to $1 to allow for sales tax. What would Grandpa’s forgotten cash purchase today?
The $1 FRN would buy a third of a gallon of gas. Using the current retail price of $33 to $35 for a circulated Peace dollar as a guideline, let’s put a $30 wholesale price on the found coin, which would be sufficient for nine gallons of unleaded. In this case, the purchasing power of the FRN dropped by 91.7 percent, while the silver $1 gained 1250 percent.
When it comes to McDonald’s, you’ll have to add a little change to buy a single item from the $1 menu to cover the sales tax with the $1 bill. Decline in purchasing power: 86.7 percent plus the sales tax. The proceeds of $30 from the circ Peace dollar is good for 30 $1 purchases before tax. That’s a net gain of 3290 percent.
The obvious increase in value of silver over time (and that includes a dreary 25-year bear market in the metal) has nothing to do with being numismatically savvy or cherry-picking PQ rare coins. The date used in this comparison is as common a lump of silver as you’ll find. Keep in mind that the track record of the U.S. dollar, widely ballyhooed as “the world’s most stable currency” is much better than what most of the world has experienced over the same period, and it’s easy to see the perils of fiat money unbacked by gold or silver.
Sadly, there is widespread ignorance on the nature of money. Being convenient and widely accepted are very important elements, but honest money is also a store of value. Semi-literate farmers and backwoodsmen of the 1800s had a far better understanding of what money should be than the typical 21st century Ph.D.
That’s why early Americans gladly used and accepted Spanish and Mexican silver reales and gold escudos in daily commerce over dubious notes issued by local banks. The coins had a well-deserved reputation for being the proper weight and fineness as compared to fly-by-night con artists who issued worthless notes. Such currency is referred to as “broken bank notes” by modern collectors, and that term refers to the fate of the institutions that issued inflated paper as well as those who ended up holding the bag. Even the copper coinage of the era maintained a relationship between the metallic content and the face value.
Who cares about silver in a world of credit and debit cards and other electronic forms of exchange including e-gold?
Keep this rule in mind when it comes to precious metals: if you don’t hold it, you don’t own it. An ounce of physical silver in hand beats 100 ounces of theoretical silver when you need the real thing right now. Imagine Jews fleeing the Nazis and offering a bribe in e-gold to border guards. In a world drowning in lies, spin and broken promises, silver’s old-school integrity stands apart from the herd.
If every American should own silver, what about gold? At the current spot price of $1662 an ounce, even a fractional bullion piece is beyond the reach of many working folks. A handful of silver dimes or a few one-ounce rounds is something that Ralph Kramden or Ralph Lauren could afford. The current gold/silver price ratio of 53 to 1 also indicates that silver has more upside than the yellow metal.
While some investors buy silver hoping to resell the metal for more paper dollars in the future, that isn’t the main reason for becoming a bullion owner. Think of your silver holdings as financial insurance in an increasingly unstable world.
