Believers Should Not Get Depressed, God Is Real

Common Sense Commentary:  Yes, believers do sometimes get depressed, but it is in spite of their faith in God, and even a contradiction of their faith. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Heb.11:1. In other words, your "faith" actually reaches out and claims the reality of your "hope" as if it were already there, and you laid your hand on the "substance" of it as "evidence" of what your eye cannot even see yet. It becomes as real as if you already had it, before the fact.

That, my friends is the word of God.  So where do you get this kind of faith? "So then faith cometh by hearing... the word of God." Heb.10:17.  Now that you have heard these verses, let your faith reach out and touch your blessed hope, and be not afraid or depressed at what's going on around you. Rest In your faith. No matter what happens, God is greater than the most fearsome problem, and He will deliver us from situations and people who trouble us. "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." 1 Jn.4:4. Pollyanna, sanguine confidence is not faith; it is oblivious denial of the obvious evidence of reality.
