God Remembers His Covenant With Israel To Give Them The Holy Land

For An Everlasting Covenant.

Which side is arguing against God's word
recorded nearly 4000 years ago in 1898BC
"And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee." Gen.17:7.

"And I have also extablished my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers." Ex.6:4.

"Then will I remember my covenant with Jocob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the Land." Lev.26:42.

Israel's U.N. Ambassador Gives The U.N. Security Council A History Lesson On The Bible

Reported by FOX News

The United Nations Security Council debate on the Middle East, including the Palestinian question, was not quite business as usual as the council was given a lesson on the Bible.

In what was an unusual sight for the Security Council, Israel’s ambassador Danny Danon during his speech covered his head with a black Yarmulke and picked up the Hebrew Bible and quoted from Genesis where God spoke to Abraham.

“And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant. And I will give to you, and to your descendants after you, all the land of Cana’an, for an everlasting possession. And I will be their God.”

Danon added: “This is our deed to our land.” He noted that the Jewish people’s right to the Land of Israel is mentioned over a dozen times in the Hebrew Bible.

“From the book of Genesis; to the Jewish exodus from Egypt; to receiving the Torah on Mount Sinai… and to the realization of God’s covenant in the Holy Land of Israel; the Bible paints a consistent picture. The entire history of our people, and our connection to (the Land of Israel), begins right here.”

Benjamin Netanyahu becomes Israel's longest-serving prime ministerVideo The Israeli ambassador then turned his attention to the upcoming U.S. peace plan and criticized the Palestinians for calling it, “dead on arrival.” He read out a long list of other peace plans rejected by the Arabs and Palestinians including the 1947 U.N. partition plan, the Camp David Summit of 2000, the Annapolis Conference in 2007 and the Kerry peace initiative of 2014.

Danon called on the Palestinians to “accept and recognize the Jewish State of Israel. No Palestinian leader has ever said those words,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian representative Riyad Mansour, speaking ahead of Danon, seemed to take a veiled swipe at President Trump’s negotiating team, as he warned that concessions made by the Palestinians for peace cannot be, “dismissed or ridiculed by newcomers to peacemaking.”

He warned the U.S. about its pending peace plan.

“We reiterate: any initiative detached from international law and the relevant UN resolutions and dismissive of human rights can neither be viable, nor just, and will not succeed.”

While he condemned the United States for recent unilateral actions including its recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city and its sovereignty over the Golan Heights Mansour surprisingly left the meeting just as his Israeli counterpart began his remarks. Only returning once he had finished.

Reached after the meeting Danon told Fox News that, “Instead of leaving during my speech, the Palestinian representative should have stayed in the room and learned some of the history of our region. If the Palestinian representative does not have the courage to sit as I speak on behalf of the State of Israel, how can we expect Abbas and his government to engage with us in good faith?”

Slippery Slope Hope Vs. The Blessed Hope

All else will fail ... except the Blessed Hope....

Slippery Slope Hope

(1) Hoping there is no God. Atheism means "No God". A theist = "A" meaning "No" and "theist" meaning "God or Deity". Amoral means "No morals", Asexual means "No sex" and Agnostic means "No knowledge of". Atheists, denying a God, were forced, in the face of a universe full of stars and an earth full of miraculous realities, to invent an explanation for how it all came to be. We humans have only one of two choices as to how it all happened. Either it was created, which requires an intelligent origin ... a Creator God, or it just happened somehow on its own, by some freak action of nature ... Evolution. But where did the first speck of material and the first spark of life come from  and where did nature and the power behind the Big Bang come from?  So since the Atheist cannot possibly know for sure there is "No God", down deep in his soul, he is really a doubter and therefore an Agnostic. In my opinion all
Atheists and Agnostics are secretly hoping there is no God, and therefore, no Holy Bible, no hell and, of course, no Creator. So they are standing on the slippery slope of evolution and denial of the visible facts of a phenomenal, intelligent creation. When they ridicule Christians, they are simply trying to reinforce and convince themselves.

(2) Hoping in a false religion or false god for deliverance, because they can see the miracle of creation and cannot deny the existence of a Creator, so they seek out and embrace what appears, to them, to be an explanation of God. This search for truth, origins, peace and purpose, drives them into the worship of false gods such as Allah, Muhammad, Buda, famous people, powerful people, athletic idols, movie stars, self worship or any one of 4200 man made religions in the world. Anything a person puts before the one true God, Jehovah, and His extension from Heaven, Jesus Christ, is on another slippery slope sliding down into the abyss.

(3) Hoping in the Pope, Preacher, Priest, Parents, or Politicians to provide their necessities and desires, hear their requests, comfort them, protect them and forgive them of their sins, which all men fear the consequences of, on judgment day. But, of course, those mere humans can't even save themselves much less someone else.
Even the best saint who ever lived can't save his/her own soul and no one else can repent to God for them. If your hope lies within anyone or anything except God Himself through faith in the Saviour He has provided, Jesus Messiah, it is a false hope and a slippery slope  which is all down hill.

(4) Hoping in medicine, doctors, hospitals or pseudo science such as Cryogenics. Cryogenic freezing is the dubious process of seeking to preserve a dead body with liquid nitrogen. These purveyors of false hope believe that scientists will soon perfect a means to thaw out dead bodies, warm them up and bring them back to life. This assumes that one day doctors will be able to cure the disease or physical failure that killed you and is untreatable now.
This process can cost about a quarter of a million dollars for the whole body or $100,000 for just the head....for whatever benefit that may be of use to them. Hook it up to a headless robotic body maybe. They guarantee nothing and who will be around to sue when it doesn't work? Sounds like one more way of getting your money and giving you, in return, some slippery slope hope.

There is, however, a blessed and eternal hope which is free to you, paid for in full, by Jesus Christ, and offered to anyone who accepts it in an attitude of repentance and faith in Him, and His promise of eternal life....

The Blessed Hope...

"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ." Titus 2:13

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." 1 Pet.1:3.

"Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil." Heb.6:19

At this advanced age in life, an old man has little left except memories, love, faith, and hope. As memory fades like the setting sun, love grows stronger, and the hope of my faith arises steadily brighter as the dawn of new life in a new eternal day. And seeing you there will be a huge reward of my blessed hope. I love you all and, I hope, to see you in glory. RB

Agnostic Physicist Refutes False Science Atheism

The word "science" simply means "To Know". It is defined as,
"The intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment."  So, in truth, evolution is not true science in that it is not based upon actually "knowing" or "observing by experiment" how all things came to be... It is, instead, based upon "theory" which is a hypothesis predicated upon an assumption of opinion. In other words an educated guess ... which has never been proven. Paul called it "false science".    "O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called." 1 Tim.6:20.
Here is an honest Agnostic, meaning "Not Know", who refuses to go the Atheist, meaning "No God", route because it has not been proven that there is no ... God Creator out there. Whereas, there is a universe full of evidence proving an Intelligent Being ... Creator. Though this has not convinced the Agnostic, it has kept this Physicist from committing his life to the lie of "No God" Atheism. RB

Physicist Marcelo Gleiser:
'Science Does Not Kill God."
Washington (AFP) - The annual Templeton Prize, which recognizes outstanding contributions to "affirming life's spiritual dimension," was awarded Tuesday to Brazilian Marcelo Gleiser -- a theoretical physicist dedicated to demonstrating science and religion are not enemies.
A physics and astronomy professor whose specializations include cosmology, 60-year-old Gleiser was born in Rio de Janeiro, and has been in the United States since 1986.
An agnostic, he doesn't believe in God -- but refuses to write off the possibility of God's existence completely.
"Atheism is inconsistent with the scientific method," Gleiser told AFP Monday from Dartmouth College, the New Hampshire university where he has taught since 1991.
"Atheism is a belief in non-belief. So you categorically deny something you have no evidence against."
"I'll keep an open mind because I understand that human knowledge is limited," he added.
The prize is funded by the John Templeton Foundation -- a philanthropic organization named after the American Presbyterian who made his fortune on Wall Street, and who set on "seeking proofs of divine agency in every branch of science", as The Economist put it.
Gleiser joins Desmond Tutu, the Dalai Lama and dissident Soviet author Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn as recipients of the prize, first awarded in 1973. At £1.1 million ($1.5 million), the prize money well surpasses that of the Nobels.
The physicist focuses on at making complex subjects accessible. He has written on climate change, Einstein, hurricanes, black holes, the human conscience -- tracing the links between the sciences and the humanities, including philosophy.
The author of five English-language books and hundreds of blog and press articles in the US and Brazil, Gleiser has also explored in depth how science and religion both try to respond to questions on the origins of life and the universe.
"The first thing you see in the Bible is a story of creation," he said. Whatever your religion, "everybody wants to know how the world came to be."
This fundamental curiosity unites science and religion, though each provides very different answers: science has a methodology, where hypotheses are eliminated.
"Science can give answers to certain questions, up to a point," Gleiser pointed out.
"This has been known for a very long time in philosophy, it's called the problem of the first cause: we get stuck," the physicist, a father of five, said.
"We should have the humility to accept that there's mystery around us."
- Scientific arrogance -
So, what does he think of people who believe that the Earth was created in seven days?
"They position science as the enemy ... because they have a very antiquated way of thinking about science and religion in which all scientists try to kill God," he said.
"Science does not kill God."
On the other hand, he accuses the "new atheists" of doing a disservice to science by making an enemy out of religion: notably British scientist Richard Dawkins -- who called for the arrest of Pope Benedict XVI over pedophilia in the Catholic Church -- and the late journalist Christopher Hitchens, who criticized Mother Theresa.
For Gleiser, who grew up in Rio's Jewish community, religion is not just about believing in God: it provides a sense of identity and community
"At least half of the world population is that way," he said.
"It's extremely arrogant from scientists to come down from the ivory towers and make these declarations without understanding the social importance of belief systems."
"When you hear very famous scientists making pronouncements like ... cosmology has explained the origin of the universe and the whole, and we don't need God anymore. That's complete nonsense," he added.
"Because we have not explained the origin of the universe at all."

This They Begin To Do: And Now Nothing Will Be Restrained

From Them Which They Have Imagined To Do.
Gen.11:6

Human Brains Could Be Connected To The Internet In 'Next Few Decades', Scientists Predict
FOX News / Chris Ciaccia

A new research study suggests that human brains could be merged with technology significantly sooner than many expect, perhaps "within decades."
Known as the "Human Brain/Cloud Interface" (B/CI), researchers at the Institute for Molecular Manufacturing in California have suggested that nanorobots could be implanted into the human body and connect to a network in real-time.
"These devices would navigate the human vasculature, cross the blood-brain barrier, and precisely autoposition themselves among, or even within brain cells," the study's senior author,  Robert Freitas, Jr., said in a statement. "They would then wirelessly transmit encoded information to and from a cloud-based supercomputer network for real-time brain-state monitoring and data extraction."
The research was published in the scientific journal, Frontiers in Neuroscience.
First proposed by futurist Ray Kurzweil – who has also suggested that computers will be as smart as humans within a decade – the concept of B/CI would potentially allow people to simply think of a question and be answered instantly, as opposed to looking for it in a search engine, similar to how information is received in the popular sci-fi "The Matrix" movie series.
"A human B/CI system mediated by neuralnanorobotics could empower individuals with instantaneous access to all cumulative human knowledge available in the cloud, while significantly improving human learning capacities and intelligence," the study's lead author, Dr. Nuno Martins, added in the statement.
Aside from obtaining "direct, instantaneous access to virtually any facet of cumulative human knowledge," there are other potential applications, the researchers wrote in the study. These include the ability to improve education, intelligence, entertainment, traveling, as well as "other interactive experiences."
Though it is not close to being ready for widespread human trial, the nascent technology already exists and has been successful on a small scale.
"While not yet particularly sophisticated, an experimental human 'BrainNet' system has already been tested, enabling thought-driven information exchange via the cloud between individual brains," Dr. Martins explained. "It used electrical signals recorded through the skull of 'senders' and magnetic stimulation through the skull of 'receivers,' allowing for performing cooperative tasks.
Last year, scientists invented the aforementioned technology known as BrainNet, which allowed three people to share thoughts and play games only using their minds, according to The Sun.
Martins added that thanks to the advancement of neuralnanorobotics, there could be a 'superbrain' created that could revolutionize democracy, enhance empathy, and ultimately unite culturally diverse groups into a truly global society."

Merging man and machine

The idea of merging humanity and machine is not new, as others, including the aforementioned Kurzweil, have discussed it at length. In 2018, futurist Dr. Ian Pearson published a blog theorizing that humans could eventually become immortal, not with their bodies, but by merging their brains with androids.
"Assuming you saved enough and prepared well, you connect to an android to use as your body from now on, attend your funeral, and then carry on as before, still you, just with a younger, highly upgraded body," Pearson wrote in the blog post.
Dr. Pearson added that by around 2050, this could be a reality, though he added the caveat that "[s]ome people may need to wait until 2060 or later until android price falls enough for them to afford one."
Elon Musk, who has warned about the potential dangers of artificial intelligence in the past, is working on it via his newest company, Neuralink. According to the company's sparsely populated website, Neuralink is "developing ultra-high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to connect humans and computers."
In a November 2018 interview, Musk alluded to the fact that Neuralink wants to "redefine what future humans will be." Its goal is to help humanity "achieve a symbiosis with artificial intelligence and to achieve a democratization of intelligence such that it's not monopolistically held by governments and large corporations."
By doing so, Musk believes it could help even the playing field with digital intelligence, which he believes "will exceed biological intelligence by a substantial margin."
Earlier this month, a group of scientists affiliated with Musk's Neuralink published a paper detailing that they are getting closer to being able to insert chips in brains using a "sewing machine", according to Bloomberg, which first reported on the paper. End of article.
My question: So what would you call such a monstrosity as a human brain merged with an androidoieous robotic? A humanoid? Mechanical man? Cyborg? Spiderman? Batman? .... Or maybe a Synthetic Beast with a super human, godlike brain tapped into Eden's "Tree of knowledge", in a digitally controled world? RB
"And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.  And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.  And he doeth great wonders .... And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do .... saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.  And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.  And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.  Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." Rev.13:11-17.

Lifelong Insights Gained From Ultra Harsh Experiences

The most important, lifelong insights are gained in those most extreme experiences which usually only happen once in a person's lifetime.... if they happen at all. I'm speaking of those totally crushing events which test your every faculty and draw out the very last flicker of your endurance and you feel nothing is left in you with which to survive. But, only then ... and only there, where you have never been before, do those insights open to your conscious understanding, and never leave you. Those are the indelible moments, scared upon your memory, which you thought to be the worst of the worst that could possibly happen to you.

People are limited to their own experiences in comprehending the experiences, tragedy, pain, fear and exposure of others. We cannot even know, with certainty, our own reaction, our own endurance to the extremes beyond which we have never gone. We cannot relate to what has never happened to us if we have nothing with which to compare it. So, we are not qualified to judge those who have suffered testing beyond our own.

I learned the most about myself during the months I spent as a young Marine in the Korean War. The expansion of my insight into myself and people in general began the first moments before we were cast onto the beaches of Inchon. It then broadened with depth every day for many months to a crescendo of hunger, thirst, fear, and debilitating exhaustion to the point that I hoped I would get hit and evacuated or die with honor in the minus 30 degree "below zero" weather. What I felt was not courage but fear ... the easy way out of almost certain death by enemy action, freezing, or capture at a place called Chosin Reservoir in the mountains of North Korea.

What I thought, at the time, was the worst thing that could ever happen to me, was actually one of the best. It turned out to be my pinnacle of fear, pain, and exposure to indescribable testing I would ever know right up to this, my 88th year. During that single, three week battle I gained insights that would get me through hundreds of dark valley's, over a thousand mountains of trial, and across a lifetime of challenge, decision and struggle. So what did I learn?

I learned that a healthy person can endure and survive almost anything ... if they just don't quit. Whatever the testing may be.
I realized later, for the first time, what is meant by the scripture that promises that ...   "All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose"     Romans 8:28.   One of the greatest lessons of life.  "All things" means ALL THINGS. But this promise is qualified by only "them that love God" and are therefore "called according to His purpose", not our own. God had a purpose for me and He has a purpose for you. Seek Him and your purpose will find you. Don't seek God's purpose, peace, happiness, fulfillment, or success: Seek God and those things will find you.... unless you quit. So when a terrible thing happens to you, remember Rom.8:28 and, in time, it will work out for your good and may become the best thing in your life. So Look up ... and don't quit on God's plan for you. RB

                   Edgar Guest's Poem ... Don't Quit
When Things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low and debts are high, And you want to Smile but have to sigh. When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns, As everyone of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When he might have won if he'd stuck it out, Don't give up though the pace seems slow, You might succeed with another blow.

Often the struggler has given up, When he might have captured the victor's cup. And he learned too late, when the night slipped down, How close he was to the golden crown,

Success is failure turned inside out, The silver tint of clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems afar, So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit, It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.

Presidential Elections Not Determined By The Most Candidates

But By The Most Voters For The Candidate Who Will Win.

Somebody needs to tell that to this present crop of Democrat, Socialist, green frogs running for President.

"Numerous anonymous" works best in your good deeds, giving and talents, not the most candidates in the race.

I'm anxious to watch, not hear, this gaggle of juvenile delinquents tare each other apart in the Democrat Debates.

They have set the stage with profuse, expletive, vocabularies, so maybe they will use them on each other.

It would be typical of their adult immaturity to cuss, stomp their feet, whine and scream at each other.

I could take that better than their heretical, politics of Socialism shared by Castro, Stalin, Hitler, Kim Jong-Un and Mao Tse Tung.

Absent the National Financial Collapse, on the horizon, or some other unseen Black Swan event, Trump will probably be re-elected.

He isn't without his own shortcomings, as also are we all, but he has done a phemoninal job on common sense, and God moving him like a chess piece. But the Democrats have made about every mistake they could possibly make. All the while sowing tares among the wheat under the cover of darkness. The tares were, at first, as political "Moderates", then as "Liberals", then as  "Socialists", then as "Progressives", and now as "Anti-Christians", many professing to be Christians and Patriots.

That slow tactic of gradualism has worked quite well as tare seed being sown, but suddenly the seed has sprung up as weeds looking kind of wheat-like without any wheat. So, overnight, a field full of wheat looking weeds has germinated and shot up out of the ground, sucking up its nutrients, hogging up the wheat's space like a six pews full of drunks singing bawdy songs to the tune of Amazing Grace. Many Christians want to convince the drunks to sing along with the church, but they are alcoholic addicted counterfits who claim to be "Religious" but want nothing to do with those singing "I once was lost but now I'm found" and "how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me".

Haven't we all met people who wanted to talk religion when you came around, but there was something dead and absent in their "religious" talk and your spirit just didn't bear witness with their spirit? The difference is called the children of light and the children of darkness or the tares and the wheat.

Jesus described it in Matt. 13:13-30
13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

#2 -Christ Claimed I AM The Way The Truth And The Life

No man cometh to the Father but by me.

God gave Moses His most revealing name in Ex.3: 13-14,   "I AM that I AM".   (See my previous post).  1500 years later He gave the world of people His own presence among them, in human form, in the person of Jesus Christ.     "Christ Jesus ...Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross." Phil.2:5-8.  He could only die with a human body of flesh.

So God took on a human body and made a physical entrance into the world for the purpose of revealing Himself, and His will, to us and then laying down that body on the cross to die, in our place and for our sins.

As God, in the flesh, Jesus Christ claimed the "I AM" title name when He told the Jews, when they questioned if He were their Messiah, told them,   "I and my Father are one". John 10:3.   And when Philip asked Him to show them the Father, Jesus answered,    "... He that hath seen me hath seen the Father."  John 14:9.   Jesus told his Apostles he was going away, to heaven, to prepare a place for his disciples and would return one day to take them there, and that they already knew the way. Doubting Thomas responded that they didn't know where he was going and how could they know the way.  To which Jesus answered,   "I am the way, the truth and the life."    John 14:6.  The "the" in Jesus' words is called "a definite article", and means one of a kind, a singularly, unique person, place or thing. As in Eph. 4:4-6.   "Endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit ... One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is above all, and through all, and in you all."   Spoken to believers.  There is one, unique unity of one unique Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God the Father. There are not two of any of these. There is just one Holy Spirit, one Lord Jesus Christ, one saving faith one true baptism (Water baptism is a type and picture of spiritual baptism) and one God the Father. That one Holy Spirit works in and through Christians, the one Lord Jesus, was also the Word of God ...   "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God .... All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.... That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.... He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

In Gen.1 when God said, "Let there be" seven times, it was his Word, Christ, who went out and fulfilled God the Father's commands.

Jesus is The Living Word of God and is revealed in the written word of God as The Way, The Truth, and The Life, and no one can come unto God The Father except they be drawn by the Holy Spirit of God, through faith in The Son of God, Jesus Christ.

Christ is indeed The I AM, The Way, The Truth, and The Life and no one has access to the Father but by and through Him.

#1 - What Is God's Most High Name?

The Revelation 19:12 declares that   "He (Jesus) had a name written that no man knew but he himself."   The nearest we can come to it is the Hebrew word, YHVH or YHWH.

"And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you." Ex.3:13-14.

Psalms 83:18 declares "That men may know that thou, (God) whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth."

So which is it, "I AM" or "Jehovah"? They are the same.

JEHOVAH is the English rendering of the Hebrew word YHWH or YHVH translated over 7000 times in the Old Testament "LORD", "GOD" or "JEHOVAH" (in all caps) which is often expressed as YAHWEH. The Hebrew, tetragramaton,YHVH YHWH symbolizes the unknown, unpronounceable name of the one true God. Hebrew scholars added two vowels, A and E, to make it pronounceable. The vowel "A" was taken from the Hebrew "Adonai" which is translated "Lord" 500 times in the Old Testament. The vowel "E" was taken from the Hebrew "Elohim" which is translated "God" over 2300 times in the Old Testament. An interesting caveat is, Elohim is plural in form but is used with a singular verb. (The Trinity in the O.T.)

Adding the two vowels, "A" and "E" make YHVH or YHWH pronounceable but the meaning of this tetragramaton remains the same, which is, "He Who Is" or "He Is". Thus, GOD told Moses to tell the Israelites that, "I AM (He Who Is) hath sent me...."

In 1869 the Jewish scholar, I.M. Wise wrote in his book, Outlines Of Judaism, "An English word expressing at once, "He is, He was, and He will be" would be
an equivalent of YHVH (JEHOVAH), but it would have to convey the meaning ... also of causation. There is no such word in any language except the Hebrew word "YAHVEH".

"I AM WHO I Am" signifies that He is self existant, the only uncaused cause in the universe. Eternally self existant in the eternal past, present and future, Was, is, and shall be.

The Apostle John, who walked with Jesus and was "The Disciple whom Jesus loved", was given The Revelation of Jesus Christ in Rev.1:4-8, that Jesus was and is the "I AM" of Exodus 3.  He was not just "in" the beginning, He is the past, present and future, the all and in all "I AM".

Many Orthodox Jews not only could not, but would not pronounce even the vowel adjusted name of God, but would refer to him as Y H V H or G_D.

"John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come .... Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood .... Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him ....I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." Rev.1:4-8.

"I AM" uses the verb "To be"(AM). In other words, He is, always has been and always will be, the one and only great "I AM", the first person expression of "to be".  He is the only eternal constant. He says, "I AM", I pray to Him, "YOU ARE" and witness of Him to others, "HE IS".   "He that cometh unto God must believe that He is...." Heb.11:6.

Old Testament:
"In the beginning"   ... God the Father, Son and Spirit were already there ...   Gen.1:1-3 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.... And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said (Christ the Word), Let there be light .... And then God said,   "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness....(Trinity)" Gen.1:26

New Testament:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word (Christ) was God. "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made (Genesis 1). In him was life; and the life was the light of men.... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory... as of the only begotten of the Father.... Jn.1:1-4 & 14.

Jesus laid claim to that eternally, constant name in John 14:6,   "I am the way the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."    That will be my next Blog post. RB
