Starbucks Ain't "Twice The Price" Better Than Tin Can Java

Common Sense Commentary: I want to drink my coffee from an old tin can ... Out on the Texas plains

This from Liberty Writer's News

After Refusing Trump’s Order, Starbucks Just Got TERRIBLE News

Democrats shed huge crocodile tears after 109 of the 32,000 foreign passengers were detained at U.S. airports this weekend. The fake news media isn’t covering the fact that Obama banned Iraqi refugees for six months in 2011 and Democrats didn’t say a damn thing.

Starbucks Corp CEO Howard Schultz said that the company plans to hire 10,000 refugees over the next five years.

According to Bloomberg, Starbuck’s CEO Howard Schulz said that the company will hire 10,000 refugees over the next five years in response to Trump ordering a suspension of refugees into the U.S.

Starbucks is in direct conflict with the immigration ban and will do “everything possible to support and help them to navigate through this confusing period,” said Schultz. If Starbucks decides to hire employees based on nationality that is against the law.

That violates U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission rules, according to The Gateway Pundit.

According to the EEOC: “Under the laws enforced by EEOC, it is illegal to discriminate against someone (applicant or employee) because of that person’s race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation, and pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information. It is also illegal to retaliate against a person because he or she complained about discrimination, filed a charge of discrimination, or participated in an employment
discrimination investigation or lawsuit.”
My Uncommon Sense Comment ....
Out On The Texas Plains

Every night in my dreams somehow it seems
That I'm back where I belong
I'm just a cowboy from Rio Grande
Back where I was born
Now the city lights and the city ways
They're drivin' me insane
I wanna be alone I wanna be back home
Back on the Texas plains
I wanna drink my java from an old tin can
While the moon comes shinin' high
I wanna hear the call of a whippoorwill
I wanna hear a coyote cry
I wanna feel my saddle horse between my legs
Riding him out on the range
Just to kick him in the sides
make him show his step and pride
Back on the Texas plains
I wanna hear the thunder as it booms and rolls
I wanna feel the rain in my face
Just a thousand miles from the city lights
Drawin' a cowboy wage
I wanna sleep at night beneath the stars above
While the moon goes climbin' high
I wanna cook my coffee over cactus coves
Fifty miles from town
Out on the Texas plains

Station Master Trump's First Week On A New Job

A Time For Action ... Not Diplomacy

Common Sense Commentary: What does the Railroad Depot's new Station Master do when a run-away train, The Midnight Express, barrels down Debt Mountain, five minutes away? A passenger train sits at the station, filled with travelers taking their time saying their good-byes. Hundreds of well wishers stand on the platform blowing kisses and waving their smiles. So, what is the new Station Master's first duty, to saunter out, bow to the crowd and glad hand everyone? Greet the new arrivals? Ask the switch-man to stand on the track behind the departing train swinging a red lantern toward the runaway? Ask advice of the well groomed politicians, returning to Congress, about the impending train wreck? NO! He races out to the engine's cab with a night stick and screams at the engineer, slams the throttle forward to the maximum power possible without jerking the engine loose from the train and squeals out of the way of disaster ... praying he can move fast enough. Sounds like what is going on in Washington since Station Master Trump took his new job and commandeered the outgoing train.

Trump's First Week
By Ray Starmann

President Trump was on fire this week. From the moment he was sworn in last Friday, he took a blowtorch to the mainstream media, eradicated trade deals, unleashed a Mad Dog, shut the door on Muslim refugees, aka terrorists and conducted Operation Zachary Taylor II on Mexico. Trump is Andrew Jackson and Wyatt Earp with a smidgen of Tony Montana thrown in for good measure.

This week, the President was a one man pen and verbal vigilante, a veritable red, white and blue Charles ‘Death Wish’ Bronson; kryptonite to the anti-American left and savior to a nation that has been downtrodden for eight years. The left wing media hates him. Mexico hates him. Angela Merkel hates him. The global elite hate him. The feminists hate him. Our enemies worldwide hate him. And, the American people; the forgotten men and women, the poor, the unemployed, the uninsured, the coal miners, the steelworkers, the truckers, the waitresses and Walmart clerks, love him, because they know he’s a stand-up guy.

The President is at war with the majority of the media, which is comprised of America hating leftists who cannot accept the fact that Donald Trump is the 45th President. The media continued to insist this week that Mr. Trump is in bed with Russia, lied about the number of people who viewed his inauguration, while continuing to mouth their typical mantra that the President is a racist, sexist, Islamophobe, misogynist.

Don Lemon, the boozing, ear piercing fool from CNN called him a liar in prime time as did Rachel Maddow. The President told the mainstream press that their influence was waning and their input is worthless. During his first press conference, Press Secretary Sean Spicer detonated a mine underneath the media and then refused to answer any questions to let the press know just how much they’re respected by the President.

At CIA Headquarters, the President told employees of the agency that he was on their side, he would give them more money than they could use and that his feud with former director John Brennan had no relation to the respect he had for the intelligence community. Message received: I’ve got your back. You’re heroes and your former director is a political hack and a putz.

The President put a knife through the heart of globalism by tearing apart the Trans Pacific Partnership Deal which would have all but destroyed the US economy and our national sovereignty, while handing billions to the global elite and putting a noose around the neck of the American worker.

In reference to the carnage and anarchy on the streets of Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s Chicago, the President stated that he would think of sending the feds into the city to take control if the mayor couldn’t get the situation under control. This morning, the President asked “What the hell is going on in Chicago?” Rep. Louis Gohmert of Texas responded in one word, ‘Democrats.’

In Mexico, the Most Interesting Man in the World is not Vicente Fox or Enrique Nieto, but Donald Trump who informed the country that it is indeed paying for the wall that the President authorized the Department of Homeland Security to begin constructing. The wall will protect the nation from unlimited immigration, terrorist infiltration, sinking blue collar wages and jobs hijacked by illegals. Of course Mexico has adamantly refused to pay the $12 to $15 billion bill, but no doubt they will through higher import taxes to compensate for the obscene $60 billion annual trade deficit the US has with Mexico.

Today, the President performed his constitutional duty to protect the nation by suspending the US refugee program and temporarily halting immigration from the following countries: Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Syria, Somalia, Yemen and Libya. As expected, the left is mentally unraveling over the fact that the country will no longer pay for terrorists to arrive on our shores and kill us. Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., said: "Make no mistake - this is a Muslim ban." Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said: "Tears are running down the cheeks of the Statue of Liberty tonight.

Finally, General ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis was unleashed today at the Pentagon to devour all liberals, feminists, feather merchants and perfumed princes who have been drinking the PC Kool Aid for the last eight years, while allowing the greatest fighting force on earth to teeter on the edge of destruction. It is only a matter of time before the President unleashes Mattis’ dogs of war on the ISIS monsters. Trump is the house and the only cards ISIS will draw are Aces and Eights.

The left is in a state of apoplexy over Trump and they’re getting worse. They simply cannot fathom that they not only lost, but are hated by half of the nation.

Trump is a patriot and they aren’t.

Trump is Pro Life and they never will be.

Trump is pro jobs and they are pro welfare.

Trump is going to slay the ISIS demons and they are afraid to even say radical Islam.

Trump believes in America always first and they believe in America at the bottom somewhere between Mali and Bolivia.
My Comment:  We Conservative passengers hope and pray our new Station Master, with God's help, and the Engineer shoveling coal, can get this train of tourists, Pullman Sleepers and baggage out of the way of the inevitable. RB

Super Collider Physics Questions For A Higher IQ

Common Sense Commentary: I read an ad a while back which was announcing a U Tube with the title of, "All There Is To Know About God". If there ever was an example of a hyperbolic lie that has lost its temper, that claim must be it. I know as much about God's science of physics as that person knows about God... Nothing.

I'm in the category of the guy who said, "I don't understand all I know about it". The translation of which is, "I know nothing at all about it". My primary interest in Super Collide science is in the spiritual dimension of it, if they are considering one.

Scientists at the LHC (Large Hadron Collider), on the Switzerland -France border, have referred to discovery of seven dimensions, in their tests. Does anyone know if they are considering a "spiritual dimension" and a "dark matter or black holes dimension" within the seven? Do they have names and definitions for the seven? Are they saying there are a total of seven including the physical one we all live in? It doesn't surprise me if God has other dimensions in this infinite universe, so are these scientists touching on an area of theology ... or hasn't physics always been within a theological context ... in the final analysis? After all, Higgs Boson's other name is "The God Particle". It is interesting that a scientist was wise enough to give it that name?

Don't misunderstand me, I am not only not smart enough to answer those questions ... I am not even smart enough to ask them. I have googled them and found millions of references, but found no answers to the above questions. So maybe one of you scientific types can ask them for me and let me know what you find.  RB

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Speaker Paul Ryan, Hast Thou Seen The Handwriting On The Wall

Biblical .... Not FaceBook

Common Sense Commentary: Most of the "Accurate and Good News" in America today is not found in the Main Street Media, but in the Country Road sources, internet blogs and Conservative talk show hosts. The two Ivory Tower, Liberal, Socialist main of the Main Street Media, the New York Times and the Washington Post seldom print a sentence which is not biased to the left. And, of course, the Major News Networks of the airwaves, CBS, NBC, ABC, and CNN are as warped as the print media. Here is a sample of real news put out by The Angry Patriot. Their name is accurately titled. RB

Paul Ryan Just Gave Trump

Some Interesting News

House Speaker Paul Ryan just gave Donald Trump, and by extension, We the People, some truly incredible news. The president’s plan is moving forward at warp speed!
Representative Paul Ryan invited President Donald Trump to address a joint session of Congress on February 28. The formal invitation was issued during a news conference on Capitol Hill earlier today, Politico reports.
The move by Ryan signals a strong willingness from Congress to work hand-in-hand with Trump. Liberal pundits and career politicians said this would never happen if Trump were elected, but they didn’t predict Republican control of the House or the Senate either!
Democrats, thanks to the short-sighted efforts of Harry Reid, can do nothing to stop most of President Trump’s efforts as long as the GOP remains on his side.
The landslide Electoral College victory the American people gave to our messenger sure seems to have motivated members of Congress.
The nuclear option took away the need to have a super majority — 60 votes. The Senate can now override a rule or precedent by a simple majority of 51 votes, which the GOP has as long as no one defects to the Democrat side on an issue.
Paul Ryan appeared giddy as a school girl when the election results finally finished trickling in during the wee hours of November 9. Ryan knew that having a Republican in the White House and holding majorities in both the House and Senate meant the GOP could finally gets its agenda done and quickly.
During the first several votes on President Donald Trump’s nominees, even a few Democrats voted to approve the well-qualified candidates. Only Kentucky Senator Rand Paul defected from the party line on a vote.
If they choose to do so, the Republicans in Congress could extend the nuclear option to include Supreme Court nominees. When asked by Fox News host Chris Wallace if the GOP would do just that, Mitch McConnell, as always, chose his words very carefully. “The nominee will be confirmed,” was about all McConnell had to say on the subject.
The GOP leader appears to feel very confident Congress will support the president’s justice nominee and vote to improve him or her without fuss. Currently, only lower court federal judges can be confirmed with a simple majority of 51 votes. “I expect an outstanding nominee sometime soon,” McConnell added.
Democrats are in for a long four to eight years. President Donald Trump is moving full steam ahead despite liberal protests and continued attacks by the mainstream media.

What Will $100 Trillion Dollars Buy You Today?

Common Sense Commentary: In America's age of former greatness, her roots were expressed in the adages of her working men and women. Such observations as, "Nip it in the bud." "Waste not, want not". "A stitch in time saves nine." "Work is not a four letter word." "Opportunity comes to those who quit waiting and start doing." "God helps those who help themselves." "Don't put the cart before the horse." "Don't cast your pearls before swine." "A penny saved is a penny earned." "Well done is better than well said." "Live not to eat, but eat to live." "God is not my co-pilot, I am his." Those adages were an expression of the soul of America whose roots were in the Bible.

While the honest working people were trying to live up to those adages and the American dream, our politicians were devising ways and means of "feathering their own nests" and accomplishing their own agendas. It was a perversion of our Republic of Laws in favor of buying off  the Democrat majority with the largess bated trap of Socialism and taxing the working class into the minority.

So the politicians devised a means of governmental income with which to pay the price of their scheme. On Dec.23, 1913 the Federal Reserve Bank System was created in the United States. At that time a $20 dollar bill would buy as much  as would cost $484.86 today. So, through the mismanagement of inflation, our U.S. currency has lost 98% of its buying power. What would have cost $1 then will cost $100 today. An increase in the cost of an item from $20 up to $40 is a 100% increase. An increase to $60 is a 200% increase. From $20 to $484.86 is a 2324.3% increase in the cost of that same item.

This didn't happen over night, over a year or ten years. It happened slowly enough that the American people gradually accepted it as "normal" (cooking a frog in a pot). It gave the government a means of taxing its citizens which they would not recognize as a tax and allowed politicians to simply "print" the money to pay for their pet projects, salaries, and bridges to nowhere. As long as we had the Gold Standard, till 1973, their wasteful spending was restricted to the amount of newly mined gold deposited in our gold reserves at Fort Knox and West Point and NY. But since 1973 our politicians have had no limitations and have spent us into a 200 trillion dollar pit of debt. $20 trillion borrowed and $180 trillion in unfunded contractual liabilities, (S.S., Medicare, Medicaid, etc.) A bomb in a pressure cooker.

So, considering the above, what does one hundred trillion U.S. dollars buy you today?
At this time a century ago it would have bought all of the real property, wealth and real estate in the world.
Today it will only buy a mansion in every country, an airplane at every airport and a private island in every ocean?
When the inflation policy of Zimbabwe, in recent years, issued its infamous 100 000 000 000 000 (100 trillion) dollar bill, it would buy 3 eggs on the day it was issued. A few days later, it could only buy one egg. Today that 100 trillion Zimbabwe dollar bill will buy nothing. It is used to start fires.
Our national currency is headed in that direction. Democrats say, "So what, its just paper money, so give me more and more and more of it cause I'm entitled". No, its a poor widows rent, food, utilities, medicine and a comfortable bed to sleep in. Its a child's nursing bottle of milk, its diapers, a warm home in winter and cool in summer. Its a teen ager's school books, transportation to school, clothes and college education. Its a young couple's motivation to work, hope for a home of their own, a car, insurance, food and means to pay off their college debt. Its what the taxpayers gave their labor, time, talents and young years in exchange for.

So what are you and I supposed to do about the decreasing value of the American people's paycheck?
Put a stop to our own and our government's waste of the labor, time, talents and young years which half of the American people gave of themselves and their lives for, which is then taken from them and given to people who refuse to work for their own upkeep. And that not because they are elderly or handicapped or sick, but because they are too fat, or lazy, or drug addicted, or wasteful to get a job. RB

"Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you....For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eatFor we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread."1 Thess. 3:8-12.

Bretton Woods Snake Eggs Have Finally Hatched After 73 Years

Common Sense Commentary: Hugo Salinas Price is one of the most sensible writers I seek out. A billionaire, he is also humble. He is one of Mexico's most prominent citizens and speaks perfect English. He is also a generous philanthropist. He writes here about the final effects of the 1944 Bretton Woods agreement and Triffin's Paradox. RB

Triffin's Paradox [Hugo Salinas Price]

The president elect of the US, Mr. Trump, does not know what he is doing when he proposes protectionist measures to encourage the reindustrialization of the US and bring home again, the American industry that emigrated to foreign lands.

The US lost their industry as a result of the Bretton Woods Agreements, which were signed (under pressure) by representatives of the allied countries and of the countries conquered by the US in World War II. Those Agreements established the world's monetary system for the post-war world, after the victory of the Allies, which was already in sight in 1944.

The monetary system was to be based on gold, which would be the world's reserve currency, supplemented by the American dollar, which was to be considered "as good as gold". So the world's monetary system was founded upon a lie: that a promise can be as good as the physical thing it promises.

This lie has accumulated a negative "karma" for the US since the moment it was pronounced, and the financial disaster which will overtake the world in the not distant future is its consequence.

In 1960, the economist Robert Triffin detected the central problem residing in the Bretton Woods Agreements. I detected the same problem without having any knowledge of "Triffin's Paradox", as it has come to be known. Many years ago, sitting in my office smoking my cigar and contemplating the world's financial situation, I came to the same conclusion as Triffin.

In a few words, it turns out that in order for the international monetary system established at BrettonWoods to function, the US is forced to run a permanent trade deficit with the rest of the world. Year after year, the US must purchase more from the rest of the world, than what the US sells to the rest of the world, thus creating a permanent flow of dollars to the rest of the world. This flow makes possible the creation of Monetary Reserves in the Central Banks of the rest of the world.

Without this constant flow of dollars from the US to the International Reserves of the Central Banks of the world, the currencies issued by those Central Banks would cease to exist. If Banco de México, the Mexican Central Bank, does not have dollars in its Reserves, then Mexicans do not have money: without dollar Reserves, the Mexican peso would not be worth peanuts - at least, in international terms.

In order to obtain dollars, it is necessary to sell to American customers some product at a lower price than that demanded by an American producer. It is self-evident that there is no other form of introducing an export into US territory, than by means of underselling an American competitor.

This is the reason why a large part of what was once the great American manufacturing industry has disappeared: the overwhelming need of the rest of the world to export to the US, in order to obtain dollars, caused the deindustrialization of the US.
It is quite unjust to blame the rest of the world for having caused the deindustrialization of the US, and to point an accusing finger at Mexico, for instance, as an enemy of the US because it has been a successful exporter of manufactures to the US. Mexico has simply been operating according to the rules established by the US itself in the Bretton Woods Agreements: the dollar is the world's currency, and at all costs, it is imperative to have dollars in order for Mexico to have a monetary system.

If Mr. Trump should attempt to eliminate or reduce the US trade deficit and protect and encourage US reindustrialization by means of tariffs on imports, what he would achieve would be to choke the economies of the rest of the world with a scarcity of dollars obtained - how else? - by exports to the US.

Choking on dollar scarcity, because exports to the US decline or are eliminated, the world will not remain in paralysis. Another alternative to the dollar as the world's currency will be sought, simply because finding an alternative becomes a matter of life or death.

What can take the place of the dollar? Possibly it will be the SDR - the "Special Drawing Rights" created by the International Monetary Fund - another huge lie that has been nicknamed "paper gold". No one knows how what sort of acceptance will be given to this monetary fantasy.

On the other hand there is gold, latent but repressed: true money that implies a world of balanced trade where there can be no trade deficits or trade surpluses.

Mr. Trump does not know it, but applying a policy of protectionism for American industry through tariffs on imports means the death of the world's monetary system based on the dollar.

Postscript: Dr. Agustin Carstens, Governor of the Bank of Mexico: "Would it not be convenient to think about the silver coin, given a monetary value by a simple procedure that I suggested years ago?"

Trump Winter White House In Florida Belongs To Him

He is going to live in his own house and no doubt vacation there. That should save us tax payers several hundred million as compared to Obama's half billion dollars spent on 35-40  vacations, with hundreds of D.C. entourage and a fleet of limos in 747's going with him.

If Trump can do for America what he has already done for himself, maybe he will make America great again. That is, if all these wild-eyed, loser, Socialist Democrats don't get hung up in his ocean liner's propellers. They remind me of a ship-load of Black Beard's grimy, one-eyed pirates trying to board an aircraft carrier with swords and clubs before their old sea-scow sinks and drags them down to Davy Jones' Locker as fish-bate. You Democrats mark it down in your ship's log .... Your sun will set within 10-12 years. You may get to name your little life-boat "USS Constitution".

I don't have a great love for Trump, but neither did I have a great love of a few Top Sergeants I have known who won wars and drug me  along with them. But when they got me home alive and in one piece, they became some of my favorite people. I may learn to love this man. We will see. RB

Dem's Lying Leftwing Root Grew A Poison Promise Vine

Common Sense Commentary: The Democrat Party's greatest flaw, and cause of Conservative rebellion is not the Clintons and Obamas, but dates back farther than that. Roosevelt's New Deal was partially justified to off-set the abuses of the so called Robber Barons. His Social Security program's flaw was two-fold. First, the Constitution did not give government that authority. Second, they ignored the propensity of politicians to change the rules over time. Social Security, as we were originally promised, would have worked pretty well til the end of time, but even Roosevelt wouldn't recognize it today. The hallowed Social Security funds are now being given to prostitutes, drug addicts, people too lazy or too fat or too inconvenienced to work. Actually those funds have long since been spent by politicians and replaced with $trillions in IOU's, and the money now being paid out has to be printed up, mailed out and spent digitally. There isn't a dime in the fund but our senile Uncle Sam is constantly begging more people to sign up for something extra labeled 'Social Security'
or "Entitlements".... a flat as a flitter lie. Social Security was supposed to be an insurance paid for by the participants and paid back to them when they got too old to hold a job, and is the only true gov. program which is an "Entitlement". Now, illegal aliens, new emigrants, and Popeye's obese friend, "Wimpy" qualify as "Entitled". Wimpy was the first American Socialist. His mantra was, "I'll pay you tomorrow for a hamburger today". Wimpy was a poster-boy for Socialism. Half of our citizens are Winpys and the other half are Popeyes. We Popeyes are paying today for Wimpy's yesterday hamburgers. Our Government is $20 trillion deep in borrowed money debt and $200 trillion in unfunded liabilities debt. More than anything else, it was the Roosevelt's New Deal, Kennedy's New Frontier and Johnson's Great Society. Thus far, the "Great Society" war on poverty has spent far more than any other war in history. Our Government has spent $22 Trillion of our tax money and borrowed Social Securtiy funds and borrowed from other nations over the life of the Great Society Program. that's $22 thousand billion, or $22 thousand thousand million, or $22,000,000,000,000. But it has failed. Thank you Theodore, Lyndon, Bill and Barack. Actually, they were not the problem, The real problem is those gullible souls who voted for them. RB

The Great Society in scope and sweep resembled the New Deal domestic agenda of Franklin D. Roosevelt. Some Great Society proposals were stalled initiatives from John F. Kennedy's New Frontier. Lyndon Johnson's success depended on his skills of persuasion, coupled with the Democratic landslide in the 1964 election that brought in many new liberals to Congress, making the House of Representatives in 1965 the most liberal House since 1938. Democrats: Left In The Lurch
The curious decline and uncertain future
of the Democrat Party

When President-elect Donald Trump replaces Barack Obama on January 20, the Democratic Party will find itself more removed from power than at almost any point since the party’s creation.

Scorned by the same voters who once embraced the New Deal, built the Great Society, and put their hope in the nation’s first black president, Democrats are now locked out of power in Washington and out of two-thirds of state legislative chambers across the country.

Simply put, Democrats’ once vaunted coalition of the ascendant — younger, multiethnic, educated, and urban — failed them in 2016, and in 2014 and 2010 before that. That coalition proved to have major handicaps, part demographic and part geographic, that have been hollowing out the party for years.

Democrats may find cold comfort in Hillary Clinton’s nearly 3 million popular vote lead and the fact that more people call themselves “liberal” than ever polled. And they can, and do, fairly protest a system of representative government that allows the government to be so unrepresentative of the popular vote. But it will be up to Democrats to solve their own problem within the current rules.

Source: Carl Klarner, Paul Levande (xenocrypt.github.io), National Conference Of State Legislatures “You can’t say that the Democrats are at their absolute historical nadir because you can’t be at your absolute historical nadir when you win a popular vote majority,” said Tom Schaller, the political scientist and author of the book “Whistling Past Dixie: How Democrats Can Win Without the South.” “But you have a knife’s edge balance between the two parties and the knife is tilted towards one party for various structural reasons.”

Future demographic changes should eventually put Democrats back in the White House, but that will do nothing to solve their problems down ballot and could take more time than they can afford. To win again now, Democrats will have to beat their geographic disadvantage by holding together a diverse coalition that has already shown major signs of crackup.

Countless autopsies will be written of the 2016 election. Most will focus on the strategy and tactics of the Clinton campaign. But to understand how Democrats arrived in this mess to begin with....

EDITORIAL: The not-so-Great Society turns a rickety 50
LBJ’s grand experiment at 50 is but an expensive memory
President Lyndon B. Johnson announced his Great Society 50 years ago Thursday, and it was another date to live in infamy. The nation is much the worse for it.
Graduates at the University of Michigan were the first to hear Johnson publicly outline his grandiose scheme for federal intervention that would end poverty, feed the hungry, provide care for the elderly, knock down racial barriers, improve education and promote civic culture. “For in your time,” said LBJ, “we have the opportunity to move not only toward the rich society and the powerful society, but upward to the Great Society. The Great Society rests on abundance and liberty for all. It demands an end to poverty and racial injustice, to which we are totally committed in our time. But that is just the beginning.”
LBJ wasted no time pushing his ambitious and expensive agenda through a compliant Congress dominated by liberal Democrats. Over the course of a little more than a year, Mr. Johnson signed a raft of Great Society legislation, beginning with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Next came the Economic Opportunity Act, which produced the War on Poverty’s many offspring; the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, the first federal incursion into education, and amendments to the Social Security Act creating Medicare and Medicaid health insurance programs.
Those graduates at the University of Michigan wouldn’t see the end of poverty in their time, but they saw their grandchildren saddled under a national debt now approaching $18 trillion. The Great Society welfare state entitlement programs remain the largest drivers of red ink at both the federal and state level. It gets worse as Obamacare, the inevitable capstone of the Great Society, kicks in (and “kick” is precisely the right word).
That article was written about three years ago. The present cost of Democrat's Great Society is now $22 trillion. RB

A Black Panther And A Black Pastor Tell It Like It Is

Common Sense Commentary: The tide is turning. Blacks are beginning to awaken and arise out of
the Democrat hell they have been sold into by White, Left-wing Socialists and their own black leaders. In process of time all things change, from freedom back to slavery and then back to freedom.
The pendulum always reaches it zenith to the left, stops, and swings back to the right. History is a record of such changes in businesses, colleges, churches, governments and nations. Nearly every university began as a Christian School on the far right, stopped and swung back to the left. Most of them have gone as far as they can go to the left and again will stop and start changing back to the right. Here is an ex Black Panther who has done an about face, reversed course, saw the light, and is now swinging to the right with contempt for those stupid Democrat lackeys on the left. And then, below the first link below, is a second link of a black Pastor who has had all he can take of the ignorance and blindness of those on the Communist, Socialist and Democrat left. I see an awakening among blacks and a falling into the Devil's bed of slumber so deeply into oblivion, it is more like a coma where the logic, reason and common sense of reality has yielded to the nightmare of something for nothing and the fantasy world that led to the fall of Rome and many other empires. Thank you Lord for men and women of wisdom, conviction and courage enough to stand up and speak out. RB

When You Look Back On The Crime, You Can't Say "The Dog Didn't Bark"

I wrote this before the election, but never printed it. So I guess you did hear the dog bark, slammed the door in the Clinton's face and locked out the lawless felons. I only hope we didn't welcome in the clowns.

Common Sense Commentary: In investigating crimes, Law Officers not only consider the positive clues which are left at the scene, a finger print, a hair, DNA on a glass, spent bullets or empty shell casings, but they also consider clues which are absent. That is, things which should be there, but aren't, stolen items, broken glass, a gun .... the absence of it. Those are called "negative" clues. Another of the negative clues is .... there was a watch-dog there, but the dog didn't bark. Why? did the dog know the perpetrator of the crime? Was the dog drugged or poisoned? The dog could be blind and deaf, and yet, the dog's sense of smell is a thousand times greater than a human's. It can smell the intruder outside the door and will put up a barking fit at a potential danger. The person at the door does not pass the smell test.

So, when the fog has risen, the smoke has cleared, the dust has settled, and a new President has been elected who turns out to be a disaster, as was true in the last two Presidential elections, and will also be true if Hillary is elected, those who voted for that person, of which ever party, will have responsibility for the disaster.  The watch dogs are all barking.  The watch dogs are sounding the alarm so open that Presidential door very prayerfully... 800,000 Illegal Voters In California, The Trendsetter State?

Common Sense Commentary: The left coast, i.e. California, is so far to the left on the political and social spectrum of the U.S. that if they move out another inch, they will fall into the abyss of hopeless heresy. California's state debt of $400 Billion can't be blamed on its ditzy four U.S. Congresswomen, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein and Maxine Waters. The California breed of Socialist politicians have led the state in all kinds of illegal and asinine, "trend setting" deviations. But the one that will eventually do the most harm to the entire nation is its Tower of Babel policies on illegal aliens. San Francisco is not only one of the most beautiful city settings in America, it is the leader in defense of sodomy, same sex marriage, sanctuary cities for illegals, and it is teetering on a hair triggered earthquake fault ... long overdue. There are three million illegal aliens in California. Nearly a third of those now have "legal" California Drivers Licenses.  This is another trend setter for the nation.  Judging from past experience, if the Republicans do not force California to realign itself with Constitutional Law, those illegals will almost certainly vote in 2020, 90% for the Leftwing Democrat Presidential Candidate. Hillary was behind in the national popular vote until California was counted,

Report: 800,000 Illegal Voters in California?

A law passed two years ago could mean there might soon be thousands of illegal voters.
When California passed its “motor voter” law, Judge Andrew Napolitano warned of illegal voters affecting U.S. elections.
Napolitano’s warning has now been confirmed.

The San Jose Mercury News reported,...

On the day that California officials implemented a controversial law that allows undocumented residents to obtain driver’s licenses, DMV offices throughout the state were packed with immigrants looking to take advantage of the opportunity.

Two years after the implementation of AB 60 on Jan. 1, 2015, an estimated 806,000 undocumented residents have received driver’s licenses, according to Department of Motor Vehicles statistics this month. About 14,000 of these licenses were issued in November alone, the DMV said.

The law has allowed undocumented residents to come out of the shadows and drive safely in their neighborhoods, according to Maricela Gutierrez, executive director of the immigration advocacy organization, SIREN.

“Many of them have been able to drive their kids to school and to run errands, when many times they were taking buses that would take them up to three hours to get from point A to point B,” she said. “It opened up new opportunities.” Supposedly, these illegal alien drivers aren’t able to vote… yet. Califoria’s “motor voter” law doesn’t apply until next year. But if 800,000 illegal aliens have already got legal driver’s licenses, what will be the situation in the 2020 election?

The article says that “state officials” claim there are “safeguards” in place to prevent illegal voters from participating in elections. But this contradicts what else is claimed in the article.

Many of those who received driver’s licenses under the law now fear they’ll become deportation targets if federal immigration authorities can access their DMV information, despite assurances from state officials that it won’t happen.

“We have definitely been hearing about a lot of fear from our community, especially with a new administration coming on board and the anti-immigrant rhetoric that’s been out there,” said Gutierrez. “Everything is theoretical as we speak, but we are definitely taking precautions.”

The organization hosts workshops to inform immigrants of their rights and has advised AB 60 recipients to be cautious on the road.

The law aimed to ease deportation fears that proved a barrier for undocumented residents to be tested and licensed to drive, a potential safety concern in a state that is home to an estimated 3 million illegal immigrants. Access to a license also makes it easier for those residents to find work and put their kids in public school.

The DMV said law enforcement agencies, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, can obtain driver’s license information — such as name, gender/description, address, date of birth and driver license number — through certain data-sharing systems. But the information doesn’t indicate their immigration status or whether they received licenses under AB60. If the data gathered from illegal aliens who drive is so private, how can they be prevented from voting? What exactly are the safeguards that protect us from illegal voters?

New Study: Liberals Far More Likely To Commit Crime

Common Sense Commentary: Any adult American with one eye and half sense already knew this. The high percentage of police case records and incarcerated criminals identifying themselves as Democrats is all that's needed to prove the point. Ask people walking the sidewalks in high crime districts what political party they prefer or if they are Liberal or Conservative. Regardless of the Liberal Fact Check, left footed dance around these studies, if you clear your mind and think about it, the likelihood of it being true is 100%. But the Snopeses of this world will, no doubt throw heaps of rotting refuse on the facts which are more obvious than a Hell's Angel Biker at a country Baptist Church.  RB

New Study Shows Liberals far More Likely to Commit Crime than Conservatives

The results of a new study conducted by researchers from the University of Cincinnati, Florida State University, and Pennsylvania State University are sending shockwaves across the nation. These are Liberal not Conservative Universities

Four researchers sought to discover whether or not political ideology could predict involvement in criminal activity, but what they found could upend our entire political and criminal justice systems.

Political ideology represents an imperfect yet important indicator of a host of personality traits and cognitive preferences. These preferences, in turn, seemingly propel liberals and conservatives towards divergent life-course experiences. Criminal behavior represents one particular domain of conduct where differences rooted in political ideology may exist. Using a national dataset, we test whether and to what extent political ideology is predictive of self-reported criminal behavior. Our results show that self-identified political ideology is mono-tonically related to criminal conduct cross-sectionally and prospectively and that liberals self-report more criminal conduct than do conservatives. We discuss potential causal mechanisms relating political ideology to individual conduct. The data was gathered through “self-reported” behavior and it therefore cannot be trusted as a fool-proof result, but it is instructive in explaining important cultural differences between conservatives and liberals. The data gathered and research presented seems to indicate a very strong correlation between political ideology and willingness to commit criminal behavior!

The researchers do caution against assuming a “causal relationship between liberal political ideology and criminal conduct,” but they also observe that there is corresponding research that shows political conservatives are more closely associated with reduced criminal behavior.

There is apparent scholarly agreement that conservatives more strongly value social order, respect for authority, and social conformity and that conservatives are more religious, more conscientious, and demonstrate higher levels of self-control. These traits and values likely influence lifestyle choices in ways that better insulate conservatives against criminal behavior. Moreover, conservative narratives about “free will, personal responsibility, and morality may gel into cognitive scripts that condemn criminal conduct as immoral and worthy of social sanctions. The researchers also point out that academics and philosophers are realizing more and more that political ideology may play a larger role in our daily life than most people realize. In fact, political ideology may indicate what a person believes, thinks, and does in more places than just the voting booth.

Overall, our study joins a growing stream of empirical assessments that document differences between liberals and conservatives. Collectively, these studies show the potent yet often unexamined role political ideology plays in everyday life. Political ideology represents more than disparate views on the proper role of government and adherence to refined political theories. Ideology rejects an assortment of correlated beliefs and narratives about behavior that are internalized by individuals. These narratives likely impact individual choices, making some choices more likely and other choices less likely. Criminal behavior may also reject choices rooted in ideological narratives—narratives that promote or reduce the occurrence of crime.

Divorce Agreement Between Conservative, Taxpaying Americans And All The Takers & Fakers

Common Sense Commentary: Here is a young man who has a brilliant future in America if we, the 50% remnant of tax paying, working, Constitutional, Conservatives can keep the door of freedom open for him. He is an under 20 idealist who also has a brain to keep his emotions under control. He has an internal  treasure which is sadly lacking in that "other 50%". A thing called ... Common Sense, logic, the power of reasoning ... to guide his intelligence. He is very young but on the right track. RB

The person who composed this instrument is a college (law) student. Perhaps there is hope for us after all. "Lord multiply his number".

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al: We have stuck together since the late 1950's for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course.

Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own ways.

Here is our separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them.

You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.

Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.

We'll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and the coal mines, and you can go with wind, solar and biodiesel.

You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them.

We'll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, WalMart and Wall Street.

You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless, homeboys, hippies, druggies and illegal aliens.

We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks.

We'll keep Bill O'Reilly, and Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood .

You can make nice with Iran and Palestinians and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.

You can have the peaceniks and WW2 protesters. -- When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.

You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N. but you will be paying the bill.

We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Volt and Leaf you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors willing to take everyone.

We'll keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "The National Anthem."
I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine", "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing", "Kum Ba Ya" or "We Are the World".

We'll practice trickle-down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot.

Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

I'll bet you might think about which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Sincerely, John J. Wall .... Law Student and an American

P.S. Also, please take Ted Turner, Sean Penn, Martin & Charlie Sheen, Barbara Streisand, ( Hanoi ) Jane Fonda with you.

P.S.S. And you won't have to press 1 for English when you call our country.

This Immigrant Has It ... Common Sense - Send Us More

He Recognizes Honesty And Justice ...

Common Sense Commentary: I am all for immigration, into the U.S., of honest, healthy, talented, self supporting, hard working, tax paying, lovers of America. We need replacements with that kind of folks to take the place of dishonest, drug addicted, untalented, leaches, greedily raking in workers' tax money as gov. handouts. They disrespect America and hate straight arrow, good citizens. I think the working half of America would vote to export (what is the opposite of immigrate, outgrate ingrates?) who feel "entitled" to be taken care of by taxpayers. In Muslim nations they would quickly learn to work and convert to Islam or pay exorbitant infidel taxes. Or to Africa, where they could get what their character deserves, or to China where they would work or starve. I love the Vietnamese immigrant below. He is more like our forefathers than all the Democrat whiners listed above, all of whom voted for Obama and Hillary. If you are one of those, I will pray for your repentance and salvation and do my best to introduce you to Jesus, but otherwise, I am not your friend, because your kind is rapidly destroying our country and literally sucking the blood out of it with your lazy, unquenchable greed. I saw one of you Saturday checking out at Sam's Club with two carts stacked high. One with tenderloins, gobs of candy and ice cream, and the best of everything in one cart, which she paid $217 for with a gov. food stamp card. The second cart was also stacked high with two cases of beer, several bottles of wine, three cartons of cigarettes and boxes of every sort of non-food items which she paid for with $251 cash. This lady wasn't starving, she would have made 6 or 8 of my wife, Bettie. If she didn't have a job, where did she get the cash?   My brother, Tom, has a neighbor who told him, "The next time you need $100 in groceries, I'll pay for it with my food stamp card if you will buy me two cases of beer." This country isn't going to hell... its already there. Sickening! We should accept all immigrants like the one below and outgrate an equal number of ingrates. If you think that's not very nice, and I should keep quiet, tax paying American workers have kept quite for years while our country descended from greatness into a drug addicted, gluttonous, entitlement obsessed majority of losers. Its time for the truth. Positive thinking doesn't work in hell. RB

Here is the kind of immigants we need....
VIETNAMESE IMMIGRANT -- Well Done  The difference between legal and illegal.  This is something everyone in America should read.  VIETNAMESE IMMIGRANT It looks like we did some good after all!

On Saturday, July 24th, 2010 the town of Prescott Valley, AZ, hosted a Freedom Rally. Quang Nguyen was asked to speak on his experience of coming to America and what it means. He spoke the following in dedication to all Vietnam Veterans. Thought you might enjoy hearing what he had to say:

Start Quote:
35 years ago, if you were to tell me that I am going to stand up here speaking to a couple thousand patriots, in English, I'd laugh at you. Man, every morning I wake up thanking God for putting me and my family in the greatest country on earth.  I just want you all to know that the American dream does exist and I am living the American dream. I was asked to speak to you  about my experience as a first generation Vietnamese-American, but I'd  rather speak to you as an American.

If you hadn’t noticed, I am not white and I feel pretty comfortable with my people. I am a proud U.S. citizen and here is my proof.
It took me 8 years to get it, waiting in endless lines, but I got it, and I am very proud of it.

I still remember the images of the Tet offensive in 1968, I was six years old. Now you might want to question how a 6-year-old boy could remember anything.  Trust me, those images can never be erased.  I can't even imagine what it was like for young American soldiers, 10,000 miles away from home, fighting on my behalf.

35 years ago, I left South Vietnam for political asylum. The war had ended.  At the age of 13, I left with the understanding that I may or may not ever get to see my siblings or parents again.  I was one of the first lucky 100,000 Vietnamese allowed to come to the U.S. Somehow, my family and I were reunited 5 months later, amazingly, inCalifornia. It was a miracle from God.

If you haven't heard lately that this is the greatest country on earth, I am telling you that right now.  It was the freedom and the opportunities presented to me that put me here with all of you tonight.  I also remember the barriers that I had to overcome every step of the way. My high school counselor told me that I cannot make it to college due to my poor communication skills. I proved him wrong.  I finished college. You see, all you have to do is to give this little boy an opportunity and encourage him to take and run with it.  Well, I took the opportunity and here I am.

This person standing tonight in front of you could not exist under a socialist/communist environment. By the way, if you think socialism is the way to go, I am sure many people here will chip in to get you a one-way ticket out of here. And if you didn't know, the only difference between socialism and communism is an AK-47 aimed at your head. That was my experience.

In 1982, I stood with a thousand new immigrants, reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and listening to the National Anthem for the first time as an American. To this day, I can't remember anything sweeter and more patriotic than that moment in my life.

Fast forwarding, somehow I finished high school, finished college, and like any other goofball 21 year old kid, I was having a great time with my life. I had a nice job and a nice apartment in Southern California. In some way and somehow, I had forgotten how I got here and why I was here.

One day I was at a gas station, I saw a veteran pumping gas on the other side of the island. I don't know what made me do it, but I walked over and asked if he had served inVietnamHe smiled and said yes. I shook and held his hand. The grown man began to well up.  I walked away as fast as I could and at that very moment, I was emotionally rocked. This was a profound moment in my life. I knew something had to change in my life. It was time for me to learn how to be a good citizen. It was time for me to give back.

You see, America is not just a place on the map, it isn't just a physical location. It is an ideal, a concept. And if you are an American, you must understand the concept, you must accept this concept, and most importantly, you have to fight and defend this concept. This is about Freedom and not free stuff. And that is why I am standing up here.

Brothers and sisters, to be a real American, the very least you must do is to learn English and understand it well. In my humble  opinion, you cannot be a faithful patriotic citizen if you can't speak the language of the country you live in. Take this document of 46 pages - last I looked on the Internet, there wasn't a Vietnamese translation of the U.S. Constitution. It took me a long time to get to the point of being able to converse and until this day, I still struggle to come up with the right words. It's not easy, but if it's too easy, it's not worth doing.

Before I knew this 46-page document, I learned of the 500,000 Americans who fought for this little boy. I learned of the 58,000 names inscribed on the black wall at the Vietnam Memorial. You are my heroes. You are my founders.

At this time, I would like to ask all the Vietnam veterans to please stand. I thank you for my life. I thank you for your sacrifices, and I thank you for giving me the freedom and liberty I have today. I now ask all veterans, firefighters, and police officers, to please stand. On behalf of all first generation immigrants, I thank you for your services and may God bless you all.
