Far, Far Away

Common Sense Commentary: When your memories are most of all you've got, and reach back nearly 100 years to .... people and places .... long gone and far, far away, and most of what you love is ignored or ridiculed by the majority, and you cannot conceive of rap as music or lust as love or the attraction of dope and porn, and the whole world seems bent on it's own destruction, and world leaders are the very worst of people, and almost all of those you loved most are now gone .... Well, I guess its about time for me too ... to pass on to that better place where all my memories have gone, and leave what's left to those who love what I do not. The Anti-Christ can have it ... til Jesus and heaven come down to purge it clean and every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord .... after all. RB

Texas A&M Study  Calls  Obama 5th Best President in  America.

Good research work by a fine  institution.

OBAMA RATED 5th BEST PRESIDENT IN OUR  HISTORY

From a total of 44 US Presidents:  Obama is rated as the 5th best. The A&M's Public Relations Office  released this statement "After only 5 years  in office, Americans have rated  President Obama the 5th best President ever."

These are the details according to  Texas A&M:

1. Reagan &  Lincoln tied for  first ,
2. Twenty three presidents  tied for  second ,
3. Seventeen other  presidents tied for  third ,
4. Jimmy Carter came  in  fourth , and
5. Obama came  in  fifth .

This is reasonable .

So, What About Ole Rayburn ... Am I Holding Grudges?

Common Sense Commentary: One cannot forgive his own sins against others. He can only forgive their sins against himself, and that is a key to he himself being forgiven by God.

I, like most preachers, leaders and prominent persons, have been gossiped about, lied about and otherwise unjustly treated at times.... in the past.  It comes with the job. It was always strangely perplexing, to me, that nearly everyone overlooked or forgave my real faults and failures ... but a few detractors preferred to just make up something, to their own liking, of which I was not guilty. Even so, I can honestly say, there are few people I just don't like. I am not bitter against anyone, but I am angry at just one person .... our President. He has done more to destroy our country, which took two and a half centuries to build, than anyone in history, including past presidents, the axis leaders in WWII and all the Communist dictators put together. But his crimes and sins are against God, our nation and the world, not against me personally. It is not my place, therefore, to forgive him for what he has done against God and our nation. He would laugh at the idea of wanting, asking or needing my forgiveness. He would, in fact, be insulted by the prospect. Who am I to Obama? Nobody. But, as for anyone who has sinned against me, personally, I harbor no unforgiveness, no matter what they may have done or said against me. Just staying alive, healthy, confessed up before God and keeping up with Mrs. Blair ... and this blog, requires all the energy, and life, I have left ... without hauling around a back-pack full of scrap iron grudges, bitterness and unforgiveness. It is especially hard to sleep under or draped over one of those bulky things ... riding you or you riding it ... through the night. I have sincere sympathy for those who can't lay it aside, and are still trying to lug such a load of bitterness day and night, through life. It makes you old, and ruins your health;  Give it up. "Forgive" is just a seven letter word, but it makes a world of difference in life ... and in eternity.  RB

Do Not Equate Forgiveness By Our Holy God With Sinners Forgiving Sinners

Common Sense Commentary: We see with our eyes and experience; God sees with his Omniscience.

In human relationships, repentance by the offender and forgiveness by the offended, each stand alone, though equally powerful in healing body, mind, heart and the relationships themselves. In our relationship with God, forgiveness is always the result of sincere repentance.  Jesus made it clear, "....except ye repentye shall all likewise perish." Lk.13:3. But repentance is not verbally uttered words. It is a condition of the soul ... an attitude of the heart.  There were no verbal words of repentance by the woman taken in adultery. Though she certainly, at that moment, was silently repentant, and Jesus knew it. She said nothing except to answer his question ..."Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?" To which the woman replied, "No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." Jn.8:10-11. Her repentance was in her heart ... not in her mouth. Neither was there verbal repentance from Blind Bartimaeus ... but it was certainly in his heart, when he cried out to the passing Jesus, "Jesus,.... have mercy on me." Mk.10:47. That was evidently enough for Jesus to heal and forgive this sincere, repentant, needy man.  Even the thief on the cross, next to Jesus, didn't cry out to the citizens of Jerusalem, from whom he had stolen, a long litany of his crimes against them, and ask their forgiveness. It was God's forgiveness he was concerned with, but he did not verbalize his repentance, even to Jesus, but Jesus knew his heart, that the man was completely repentant when he simply said to Jesus, ".... Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom." Luke 23:42. To that simple, short request, without a spoken word of repentance, Jesus responded, "...Today shalt thou be with me in paradise". v.43. Was the man repentant? God wouldn't have saved him if he had not been. It was in his heart, not in his mouth. God reads the heart, not necessarily the lips. Lips lie, exaggerate and speak in ignorance, but the silent heart is where the truth is. Man hears only spoken words and sees only the outward appearance, but cannot know the thoughts and intents of the heart of a person.   "... The LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart." 1 Sam.16:7.

Sincere repentance to God, from the heart, is always accepted and forgiveness given. But only He knows whose heart is sincere. Men do not and cannot know that. Though some claim to.

Human forgiveness of others is of more benefit to the sinner who forgives that to the sinner forgiven by him. It does more for his own soul and peace of mind to forgive. But do not equate the forgiveness of our holy, perfectly pure God to that of unworthy sinners forgiving other unworthy sinners. A Christian's repentance to or forgiveness of others is wonderful and commendable, and should be done ( Matt.5:23-24), but it is God's forgiveness which cleanses and saves the repentant soul from his guilt and the consequences of it ... not man's.  Human forgiveness solves many problems, soothes feelings, restores human relationships, but does not cleanse and redeem the soul of either the one forgiven or the one forgiving. Only God can do that.

We are all rather like a prison full of convicts (convicted) of murder, drug dealing, rape, lust, adultery, treason, theft, hate, covetousness, jealousy, lying or perjury ... in either our hearts or actions .... each feeling superior to "those worse than me" ... and most swearing their innocence. God knows the truth about each of us... our hearts.  Let us focus on our own sins ... not someone else's. Only the love of God, the sacrifice of Jesus, and the convicting power of the Holy Spirit can draw us to God, wash away such heart conditions and bring us unto repentance, forgiveness and salvation.  RB

Dragging Your Unforgiveness Into Your Grave

Common Sense Commentary: "Give and it shall be given unto you" is not just true of  money but of forgiveness too, and of "whatsoever  a man soweth, that shall he also reap". God's word is  always constant and hinges together smoothly and consistently. Unforgiveness will not be forgiven and sincere forgiveness will be sincerely forgiven.

What might have began as a relatively minor offence, if either not repented of or not forgiven, compounds itself with passing years of growing bitterness, in the mind and heart of the offended person; So that what began as a brick grows into a brick wall, in their memory, ... which they can no longer see clearly or comprehend .... as just a brick. It becomes an insurmountable a brick wall. Whereas, in the mind of the offender, if it was repented of but unforgiven,  is still a single brick, but it now weighs a ton. The difference in the memories of the two is that one is full of unforgiveness, anger and bitterness, and the other is broken hearted at the loss and full of regret. That single brick has also become insurmountable, but which is the heavier burden, the brick or the brick wall?

If an unforgiving person will not accept a single, sincere request for forgiveness, they will not accept a second, third or a dozen. Their own heart has to change. Thankfully, God only requires one, but some people retain offences as a power lever to be used, as needed,  against those who have offended them. They sip their store of unforgiven offences as an obese person would an ice cold lemonade on a hot summer day ... or dig one up as a dog would a bone ... to gnaw on.

When the Apostles asked Jesus how many times they must forgive a person, Jesus said, "until seven times seventy". Matt.18:22. He required sinners to repent but once, for an offence, for complete forgiveness. Ironically, if we ask forgiveness of Him, He, the Creator and universal God of purity and holiness, forgives worms like us of the worst of offences. But human unforgiveness requires much more of their offenders.  Human unforgiveness is usually clutched in the hearts of the very people who, if the truth were known, need far more personal repentance, cleansing and forgiveness than those they refuse to forgive. As a pastor, a lot of secret sins and horrible deeds were revealed to me which, most often, were hidden in the hearts of the most unforgiving people. It is a strange paradox which backfires into the health and happiness of the unforgiving. It is self destructive and drags offences along behind the unforgiving like a dead carcass which has been drug to death and is killing the person clinging so desperately to it, as well. It is similar to the Ancient Mariner with a dead, rotting albatross hanging around his neck as he dies, all alone in his misery, of thirst, in the middle of a ocean of undrinkable water. Get rid of your long dead albatross. Before you refuse to forgive someone else, search your own heart for the things you, yourself, need forgiveness for.  If  sincere, that is a quick and sure cure for unforgiveness. Only forgiveness will set you free.... to also be forgiven.  Do not wast another day.

It was Jesus, Himself, who taught us to pray, "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us", and then he added a most important condition to receiving God's forgiveness...

"For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Matt.6:12-15.

If we expect God to forgive us our sins, we must forgive others who sin against us.

One final thing....Forgiveness may be offered but in order to be received, a person must want forgiveness and receive it when offered. If forgiveness is unwanted, it is unreceived. RB

What Evil Force Possesses This Out Of Control Man ?

Common Sense Commentary:

Common Sense Commentary: So now Obama comes down on the side of the drug dealers. Where do you think kids get their pot (Marijuana), from the grocery store or rose garden? They get it from drug pushers which is a first step into the other products the pusher pushes ... ecstasy, cocaine, meth, heroin.
The lowest down scum in the slum are the pushers. They are bosom buddies with the prostitutes, muggers, armed robbers, illegal gun sellers and every other kind of addict and criminal.... and they are not trying to win them to the Lord.  It doesn't stop with pot. The pushers want these poor, deluded kids hooked on something which will harness them up to become prostitutes and pushers themselves. Pot just primes the addiction pump for the harder stuff. There are very few hard drug addicts who didn't first smoke some pot. Our kids and grand-kids do not need to be involved with this evil element until they grow up into cops, vigilante parents or hell-fire and brimstone preachers.  But now the highest office on earth occupied by a president who not only admits he smoked pot ... all through his youth, but now lets down the bar, on pot, to the floor and throws the pot doors wide open ... like an invitation to a teen pot party, to our young people. His comments carry immense weight ... around the world and did not need to be said. It's as if he is enslaved by some evil demon who speaks through him unimaginable and irrational, ungodly words.... Maybe I've hit on something there.  Yes, we should pray for him. The The Psalmist, David, prayed for his enemies in Psm. 28:4-5 .... "Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert. Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up."  And David was the apple of God's eye. Psm.17:8. RB

ISTOOK: The blunt truth — White house drug czar contradicts Obama on marijuana

White House docs say pot causes brain damage and lower IQ in teens, alcohol does not. (From the Washington Times)

.

President Obama’s latest claims about marijuana are contradicted by research and official positions of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, which is part of the White House. And Mr. Obama’s words have anti-drug leaders worried about negative repercussions among youth.
Mr. Obama claimed to The New Yorker magazine that marijuana is no worse than cigarettes or alcohol and he promoted state efforts by Colorado and Washington to legalize marijuana, which remains illegal under federal law.
The National Drug Control Policy’s official stance, posted on the whitehouse.gov website, says the opposite of Mr. Obama on all counts. For example, as documented in agency reports, marijuana smoke has significantly more carcinogens than tobacco smoke. And as reported by the government’s National Institute on Drug Abuse, adolescent use of marijuana does something that alcohol does not; it causes permanent brain damage, including lowering of I.Q.  Taxpayers have spent billions of dollars warning about drugs, often about marijuana, but these efforts were dramatically undercut by the president’s comments. Mr. Obama might as well have rolled that money into a joint and smoked it on national television. He told the interviewer, David Remnick, that his earlier years of prodigious puffery were “a bad habit and a vice.” Yet he doesn’t warn others not to follow in his footsteps.
The Drug-Free America Foundation responded on its blog: “His laissez-faire attitude about legalization has drug policy and prevention experts scratching their heads in confusion as to why the president will not give clear guidance…either he is seriously ill-informed about the issue or is completely ignoring warnings from his highly-esteemed advisors.”
The foundation called it an “irresponsible move for such a person in the most highly-regarded position in this country.”
The official National Drug Control Strategy from drug czar R. Gil Kerlikowske lists marijuana as one of the “four major drugs (cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and methamphetamine).”
Don’t expect him to resign in anger about how Obama is undercutting his work, however. He’s a short-timer because Mr. Obama nominated him last fall to become the new Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
So for now, perhaps until Kerlikowske is at his new job, anti-marijuana messages remain on the White House Website. As one page describes things, “confusing messages being presented by popular culture, media, proponents of ‘medical’ marijuana, and political campaigns to legalize all marijuana perpetuate the false notion that marijuana is harmless.”
They should add Mr. Obama’s name to the list of confusing messengers who perpetuate false notions. Except confusing messenger is too polite a term. Outright hypocrite fits better.
Be on the lookout for the White House to remove warnings of marijuana use from its Website, such as this gem: “The Administration steadfastly opposes legalization of marijuana and other drugs because legalization would increase the availability and use of illicit drugs, and pose significant health and safety risks to all Americans, particularly young people.”

It is impossible to reconcile that post with Mr. Obama’s failure to enforce federal drug laws against marijuana, and with his statement to The New Yorker about Colorado’s and Washington’s open violation of those laws, namely, “it’s important for it to go forward.”
Why go forward? The president’s explanation is indeed a head-scratcher: “Because it’s important for society not to have a situation in which a large portion of people have at one time or another broken the law and only a select few get punished.”
Everyone in Colorado and Washington who puffs up is breaking the law — federal law. And no law has a perfect rate of arrest and prosecution.
Mr. Obama, however, tried to attribute it to class warfare and racial bias — and in so doing voiced a myth that his own anti-drug people are shooting down.
As Mr. Obama stated: “Middle-class kids don’t get locked up for smoking pot and poor kids do. And African-American kids and Latino kids are more likely to be poor and less likely to have the resources and the support to avoid unduly harsh penalties. We should not be locking up kids or individual users for long stretches of jail time when some of the folks who are writing those laws have probably done the same thing.”
But Mr. Obama’s claim was shot down by an earlier federal publication, “Marijuana Myths & Facts: The Truth Behind 10 Popular Misconceptions”.
Myth #10 is “The government sends otherwise innocent people to prison for casual marijuana use.”
In fact, less than 1% of all drug incarcerations are for simple possession or use of marijuana. And those few tend to be plea-bargains for people who actually were dealers.
Mr. Obama’s own White House website contradicts his light-hearted claims about marijuana in other ways as well. Multiple pages are devoted to describing clear dangers of marijuana, including these excerpts:
  • Marijuana use is associated with dependence, respiratory and mental illness, poor motor performance, and impaired cognitive and immune system functioning, among other negative effects.
  • Marijuana intoxication can cause distorted perceptions, difficulty in thinking and problem solving, and problems with learning and memory.
  • Studies have shown an association between chronic marijuana use and increased rates of anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and schizophrenia.
  • Other research has shown marijuana smoke to contain carcinogens and to be an irritant to the lungs. Marijuana smoke, in fact, contains 50‐70 percent more carcinogenic hydrocarbons than does tobacco smoke.
But what about alcohol? Mr. Obama stated he doesn’t think marijuana is more dangerous that alcohol.
One trick used by pro-pot proponents seems to have worked with Obama. They adopt an extremely-narrow definition of marijuana’s dangers by discussing solely on whether it is “toxic,” meaning that high dosages become poisonous.
They choose that measure because alcohol poisoning causes tens of thousands of deaths each year but marijuana is not poisonous even in large doses.
Toxicity, however, has never been the sole measure of whether a substance is dangerous. Things need not be fatal to be harmful. Plus, things that are intoxicating and hallucinogenic can lead to fatal behavior without being poisonous.
Furthermore, the studies cited by the National Institute for Drug Abuse, regarding brain damage among regular adolescent pot smokers, has no parallel from alcohol. And making one dangerous drug legal is, of course, never a good reason to add another, or a third, or more.

Mr. Obama’s ramblings in The New Yorker show an effort to project an intellectual approach to the marijuana issue when in fact his was pseudo-intellectualism. He offers up loose arguments, even discredited arguments, because he doesn’t expect serious follow-up from the media. Even if he gets it, Mr. Obama simply talks in circles, ends the questioning, and shuts that reporter out in the future. Anyone who believes otherwise must be smoking something.

Even A Glimmer Of Light Flows Forth From A Kennedy Clansman

and that on MSNBC's Hardball program

Former Rep. Patrick Kennedy says President Barack Obama is wrong about the dangers of marijuana, saying that the drug today is not like what the president smoked in his youth.
The former eight-term Rhode Island Democrat said Obama’s statement in an interview this weekend that pot is not worse than alcohol was based on anecdotal evidence, not science. “I think the president needs to speak to his NIH director in charge of drug abuse,” Kennedy said on MSNBC’s “Hardball” on Monday night. “[She] would tell the president that, in fact, today’s modern, genetically modified marijuana, so it’s much higher THC levels, far surpass the marijuana that the president acknowledges smoking when he was a young person.”
Kennedy said government research shows that marijuana is harmful.
“He is wrong when he says that it isn’t very harmful, because the new marijuana is not the old marijuana,” Kennedy said. “We need to have presidential decisions made based upon public health and the sound science that the federal government’s invested in.”
The former congressman said if the president believes alcohol is more dangerous, he should be concerned about legalizing and commercializing marijuana, because, Kennedy argues, America doesn’t want another Big Tobacco or Big Alcohol.
“I mean, if the president feels alcohol is worse than tobacco, what’s he prepared to do? And I’ll tell you, the president won’t be able to do a thing,” Kennedy said. “Why? Because alcohol is too powerful an industry to change. And right now, we have a chance to stop another for-profit industry from targeting our public health.”
The son of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) and nephew of President John F. Kennedy is the chairman of the advocacy group Smart Approaches to Marijuana.
Marijuana advocates took issue with Kennedy’s remarks, saying he missed the point.
“There is a certain irony in Kennedy — who admits he doesn’t have much experience with marijuana — lecturing President Obama about this, especially when the president was focusing his comments on the need to end the injustices of disparate enforcement,” said Aaron Houston, a lobbyist and co-founder of the Marijuana Majority.
Houston also rejected comparisons to the alcohol and tobacco industry, saying such analogies were designed to scare voters.

The Tragic Truth: 55,000,000 Innocents Murdered In U.S.

Common Sense Commentary: Justice will be served !!!  "Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man." Gen.9:6.      "Thou shalt not kill." EX.20:13.

January, 1973 is the birth month of Roe v. Wade. This is it's 40th birthday. It is a serial killer, having murdered 55 million innocent lives in our country alone.  Roe v.Wade should, itself, have been aborted at it's birth. That does not count the 55 million mothers, many of whom have suffered a life-time of painful regret. Only God knows what eternal judgement must await those who birthed this hairy clawed, evil monster, which has devoured the soul of our nation and legitimized a thousand other types of crime, moral decay and  economic disaster.  Yes, we, as a nation, have brought it upon ourselves. RB

I Am Overwhelmed by 55 Million Babies Killed Since Roe v. Wade

by Kristan Hawkins | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about today?
Yesterday evening, I was sitting in my living room working while watching my sons play. I began to think about what my life would have been without them. How different I would be. How their lives have already made this world a different place since they were born. How much I would hurt if I had chosen abortion.
Then, I thought of the more than 55,000,000 lives that have been taken in the U.S. since 1973, and I became overwhelmed at the tragedy. Tragedy for the babies, their mothers, their fathers, families, and us.
Who is our nation missing? What price is our society paying for the ultimate deceit of abortion?
40 years ago today, seven men on the Supreme Court decided in favor of a case presented to them from a 27 year-old, unknown, post-abortive lawyer, Sarah Weddington. That case was Roe v. Wadeand, along with its companion Doe v. Bolton, it legalized abortion in all 9 months of pregnancy, for any reason, in the United States.
Today, this 27 year-old is writing to you as a survivor of that decision. The undeniable fact is that nearly a third of my generation is missing. We are missing brothers, sisters, cousins, friends, husbands and wives.
You see, Miss Weddington’s generation got it wrong. In attempting to correct gender inequality in the workplace and in our society, they set into motion the ultimate act of discrimination – abortion. Instead of glorifying motherhood, they pitted the mother against her child, creating an endless cycle of selfishness, pain, and deceit.
But this generation is determined to set it right. We’ve seen the ultrasounds of our siblings, googled “abortion” and seen the bloody images, and sat with a friend as she cried about her abortion. This youth generation is the most pro-life generation of young people since 1973; we’re even more pro-life than even our parents’ generation. And this week our presence will be known as this generation will be the predominant participants in Wednesday’s March for Life in Washington, D.C. and pro-life rallies across the nation.
This week, we will be proudly carrying our “I am the Pro-Life Generation” signs, and Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry will watch their target audience slip away.
In fact, we already have. When Nancy Keenan, the former president of NARAL/Pro-Choice America, announced her resignation last year, she cited the lack of young pro-abortion leaders as the reason she wanted to step down. This month’s Time magazine headline story dealt with the same problem, claiming that the pro-abortion movement has been losing since 1973.
And last week’s new Planned Parenthood video and talking points on abortion confirm this fact. They don’t want to use the term “pro-choice” anymore because it’s too negatively associated with abortion. You see, they know when abortion is mentioned, their favorability falls. Their goal? Never bring it up.
So, what should be our goal? To bring up abortion in every conversation we can – in church, the grocery store, at school, and at the neighborhood party. To never forget about abortion, no matter how busy our lives may get or how sad or immobilized we become by this immense, overwhelming tragedy.
Friend, it’s time to rise up. Rise up off of your couch, out of your dorm room, or pew. Rise up and dedicate your life to something bigger than yourself.

Evolution Vs. Creation Is The Initial Battleground, Faith The Final One

Common Sense Commentary: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Gen.1:1.

Atheists invented evolution as an alternative to having to believe in creation. For if one believes in creation, it is a given that they must therefore believe in a Creator... God.  There are only those two choices as to how we and everything else in the universe got here. There are not three ... just two. One is true and the other is false. It is a simple matter of each person being initially confronted by this eternal, question, a yes or no test. Your answer to this question determines the direction of your thought processes, your heart's desire and which direction your life will flow. It is a pivot point to your eternity. If you acknowledge the truth of universal Creation, you are acknowledging a Creator and answering "yes" to Him.... not to salvation but to His reality. This is a very critical point in our lives.
This "Creator" attitude will be followed by a second question .... If there is a Creator God, He must have a purpose for His creation .... including us. How can I know God's purpose? Has He given us a revelation of His will for us? It is inconceivable that He would create the universe, the earth and us without letting us know why we are here and what He wants us to be and to do. Therefore, what and where is that revelation, that message from God? This searching hunger for God's will brings a person face to face with the religions of the world. They cannot all be true, so is there one among them which has the message of God to the human race? At this point in the search of our souls for God's will and word, we are confronted with the question, "Is the Holy Bible God's word?".  Another "Yes or No" question. If, after your questioning, searching, seeking and asking this unknown Creator God to show you the truth, and you determine that the Bible is the only reasonable answer, and so you acknowledge that the Holy Bible has to be God's word, you are again opening your heart to Him with a "Yes God", I believe the Bible is your word.  You see, if you do not believe the Bible is God's word, you have no other sure record of the Gospel of Jesus Christ upon which your faith must stand, and ....without faith it is impossible to please him...." Heb. 11:6.  Faith in Christ has just one source ... the Holy Scriptures. "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Rom.10:17.  So you are now faced with the most critical of all questions.  The central message and revelation of both Old and New Testaments is, God revealed in Jesus Christ as our Creator, Savior, Lord and Eternal God. So how will you respond to the greatest of all questions ... What will you do with Jesus Christ? Will you, in repentance of your sins,  believe and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?  Yes or No? An "I don't know" is not an acceptable answer and will not pass the test. Go back to our text book, the Bible. Read the four Gospels again .... "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved...." Acts 16:31. RB

Rant: ObamaCare Is One Example Of His Ruin Of The Best Country On Earth

Common Sense Commentary: Multiply the glaring destruction of the American health care system by one thousand and that is the general devastation of the American success story and every single thing he has touched. It is entirely too evil and too pervasive to have been done by a mere man. The powers of darkness and evil in high places planned and executed it. Much of it by Executive Orders. RB

The Room with Dan Steinhart
Dan Steinhart, Managing Editor, The Casey Report

Dear Reader,

I do not have health insurance.
This is a problem, but not for the reasons you think.
I am not one of the admirable few who disobeyed the "Affordable" Care Act by electing to self-insure and pay the resultant penalty rather than purchase a conforming policy. I would have taken that route if I were single; since the steepest healthcare bill I've ever racked up was an $800 ER fee to pop my dislocated pinky back into place after a basketball mishap, paying almost that much each month in premiums makes zero sense.
But I'm not single. I'm one half of a marital unit, and because my wife visits several specialty doctors per year, we need health insurance.
We're trying to get it. We mail a fat monthly check to Vermont Health Connect (VHC), just like the gub'mint said to. But we've received nothing in return. No ID cards. No policy info. Not even a "Thanks for the money, suckers."
Maybe the check got lost in the mail, you say? Nope. VHC cashed it and emailed us another bill for February.
That VHC cashed the check tells me that, in theory, we do have health insurance. But theoretical health insurance gets you about as far as a theoretical plane ticket. My wife has picked up two prescriptions in the past month, and in both instances the pharmacist was unmoved by her insistence that we do indeed have insurance. So she paid full price for the prescriptions. I hate to think of the predicament this puts people with real health problems in.
What's more, the complexity of maintaining our health insurance plan has multiplied tenfold since Obamacare kicked in. It used to be maintenance-free; our employers paid for our coverage behind the scenes, and we never had to handle a bill.
Apparently, something about that process was too complicated for the government to administer, so we've regressed back to prehistoric methods. Now each month, VHC emails me a notice that my bill is due. They don't email me the bill itself; that would be too simple. They only notify me that my bill is somewhere in cyberspace. So I have to log on to their medieval website and navigate through a maze of counterintuitive, ever-changing links to find the bill. I then print it out, write a paper check, put them both in an envelope, and drive to the mailbox.
You know, kind of how we used to do things before the Internet. Total amount of time wasted each month? At least forty-five minutes.
Just to recap, health insurance now costs more, is much more onerous to administer, and so far, at least for my family, is unusable. Not exactly the healthcare nirvana that Barack promised.

V.A. Not Run By Military But By President's Cabinet Dept Of Veterans' Affairs

Common Sense Commentary: This policy came straight from Washington and is not unique to here in North Texas. Political pressure is building on both sides of the line between good and evil, and will end in a "Duck Dynasty" type revolutionary explosion ... only much more powerful... very soon. What has happened to Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson, for standing up for what God's word teaches, backfired  in A&E's face and forced them to rethink their sinful reaction and also forced Cracker Barrel to eat crow with their crackers.  This is a sample of what God's people, and other descent Americans. can do when they stand up, together, and say enough is enough. Now, lets continue to speak out loudly, with men like Admiral Lee, about such things as described in the article below.

If you don't read the following short article, don't miss the short speech (video) of Rear Admiral Lee on the new restrictive regulations imposed on the Military by the Obama administration, at the bottom.  RB

V.A. Blocks Vets From Getting Students' Christmas Cards

Students at a private elementary school in North Texas made Christmas cards for injured veterans at a local V.A. hospital.

When the cards were set to be delivered, a V.A. official told the teacher who organized the effort that nothing with "Merry Christmas," "God Bless You" or other religious statements could be given to veterans.

"This wasn't the country I grew up in, when you couldn't say ‘Merry Christmas,' you couldn't say ‘God bless you' or reference any scripture," said a mother of one of the students.

The V.A. explained its policy in a statement:

"In order to be respectful of our Veterans religious beliefs, all donated holiday cards are reviewed by a multi-disciplinary team of staff led by Chaplaincy services and determined if they are appropriate (non-religious) to freely distribute to patients. After the review is complete, the holiday cards that reference religious and/or secular tones are then distributed by Chaplaincy Service on a one-on-one basis if the patient agrees to the religious reference in the holiday card donation. The holiday cards that do not contain religious and/or secular tones are distributed freely to patients across the Health Care System. We regret this process was not fully explained to this group and apologize for any misunderstanding."

Killings Of Christians Doubled in 2013

Common Sense Commentary:   The only explanation for the world news media hiding the large numbers of persecutions and murders of Christians is that neither the lapdog media moguls nor their Liberal, political masters like us ... even a little.

Radical, Muslim Jihadists murdered several hundred Christians, Jews and other innocent people in just the last half of September, last year.  Yet none of these tragedies are covered in the main street media; but a single incident of the burning of a Koran (a book), garnered world-wide headlines and riots.  A single negative cartoon about Muhammad resulted in Muslims going wild all over the world, while Jesus is blasphemed constantly without a single sentence from the media. His figure immersed in a jar of urine appeared as acceptable art at a western museum ... no problem. Rampaging Muslims burn hundreds of cars in France get a few lines of media coverage but one dumb American kid keys (scratches) a car in Singapore and every newspaper in the world reports on it.  Why the prejudice? Why does the world have a love/hate relationship with America.. They love to come here on vacation, and take our $billions in foreign aid, but more than half the world hates us.... why?  Even the so-called "good" Muslims say not a word against their fellow Muslims who commit atrocities against Christians, Jews and innocent people, and even children. Why don't they object and raise a storm of protest against the evil doers? There are only two possibilities to that question. They are either craven cowards or sympathisers.

Christians killed for faith nearly doubled in 2013, group finds

Rev. Faye Pama Musa knew immediately why suspected Boko Haram militants burst into his home last year as his wife prepared dinner in the family’s northeastern Nigeria home. His stance against Christian persecution in the divided African nation had long made him a target.
Musa, who served as the general overseer of the Rhema Assembly International Church and secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Borno, saw the intruders near the front door of his home in Maiduguri as his wife, Mercy, prepped food. One of the couple’s daughters, Zion, had spotted the armed men just seconds earlier jumping a fence.
“Today you are a dead man,” one of the gunmen reported said on May 14 as he dragged Musa to the porch. “Call your Jesus to help you, Mr. CAN man!”
Zion Musa then begged the attackers to spare her father, a request met with a misfired bullet that caused her to faint. She survived but her 52-year-old father – a man who worked closely with Open Doors, a nondenominational group tracking persecuted Christians worldwide – did not.
Musa, according to the group, was one of 2,123 Christians killed last year due to their faith, compared to 1,201 in 2012. More than half of those reported killings (1,213) occurred in Syria, followed by Nigeria (612) and Pakistan (88).
But North Korea — a country of more than 24 million, with an estimated 300,000 Christians — remained the most dangerous country worldwide for Christians for the 12th consecutive year, followed by Somalia, Syria and Iraq.
“Like others in that country, Christians have to survive under one of the most oppressive regimes in contemporary times,” according to a release on the report issued Wednesday. “They have to deal with corrupt officials, bad policies, natural disasters, diseases and hunger. On top of that, they must hide their decision to follow Christ. Being caught with a Bible is grounds for execution or a life-long political prison sentence. An estimated 50,000 to 70,000 Christians live in concentration camps, prisons and prison-like circumstances under the regime of leader Kim Jong-Un.”
A sub-Saharan African country — Somalia — was ranked second on the organization’s list for the first time. Islamic extremism is the primary source of Christian persecution in the country of more than 10 million and while the capital of Mogadishu is under more moderate Muslim control recently, converts from Islam are threatened with execution, sometimes by the al-Shabaab militant rebels.
“In Somalia, a Christian cannot trust anyone,” one Christian reportedly told an Open Doors researcher. “One false confidence and you literally lose your head.”
Syria, meanwhile, which had not previously cracked the group’s list of top ten most oppressive places for Christians, ranked third last year. Like in Somalia, Islamic extremism powered the prosecution, according to Open Door officials, and many towns that previously had large populations of Christians have become ghost towns.
“The face of persecution in Syria has changed,” the group’s World Watch List reads, adding that nearly half of rebels in Syria have a jihadist background. “The influence of these groups that are linked to Al Qaeda and other extremist factions has risen considerably in the past year.”
More than 80 percent of people worldwide identify with a religious group, according to 2011 survey by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life. Of those, 2.2 billion, or 32 percent, identified themselves as Christians, followed by 1.6 billion Muslims (23 percent) and 1 billion Hindus (15 percent).
The survey also found that roughly 1.1 billion people, or 16 percent worldwide, have no religious affiliation, making that segment the third-largest religious group globally and roughly equal in size to the world’s Catholic population.

Killings In Just One Month
Here are several of the Christian killing incidents, in latter September, which I sited above: Multiply the two weeks below by 52 weeks in a year for an approximate annual number of murders by Muslims, of Christians.  The only explanation for this, in a single word is .... Satan.  RB
Sunday, September 22 - Peshawar, PAKISTAN
Islamic bombers mingled with Christians gathering after morning worship service at All Saints Church for dinner on the grounds. The Islamists blew themselves up, killing 90 Christians and injuring 120 more.
Sunday, September 29 - Potiskum, NIGERIA
Members of the Islamic radical group Boko Haram shot 50 college students and burned the school as the students slept in their dorms. Although the victims included both Christians and Muslim students, the name of the assassin group, Boko Haram, means "Western education is forbidden."
Saturday, September 21 - Nairobi, KENYA
Jihadist members of Somalia's al-Shabab took hundreds of hostages and killed 67 Christians at the Westgate Mall, after the people who identified themselves as Muslims, and who could give the name of Mohamed's mother, were allowed to leave.
Wednesday, September 18 - Maaloula, SYRIA
Islamists arriving in this 2000-year-old village, which is one of the only places in the world where Aramaic is still spoken, announced, "We are from the Al-Nusra Front and have come to make lives miserable for the Crusaders" (an Islamic slur meaning Christians). After many deaths, the town was retaken by the Syrian Army, but only about 20 families remained in the village.
Saturday, September 21, 2013 - Dorawa, NIGERIA
Jihadists killed a pastor and his son and burned their church in the northern state of Yobe where Islamists are attempting to impose Sharia law.
Wednesday, September 25 - Derna District, LIBYA
Two Christian men, Waleed Saad Shaker, age 25, and Nashat Shenouda Ishaq, age 27, were traveling on a rural road when they were surrounded by a crowd of Muslim men. The Christians were robbed, tied up and beaten. Then the Muslims demanded that they recite the shahada, the declaration of conversion to Islam. When the Christians refused, they were shot. Shakar died before they were found by a shepherd. Ishaq died in hospital.
