Words Mean Nothing If Not Aligned With Our Heart And Accompanied By Action

True words have chariot wheels.

I mentioned in a recent blog post that the remedy for this villainous Coronavirus was 1 Chronicles 7:14.     

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

When sincere humility prays and truly seeks God's will, it takes action. It "turns from it's wicked ways".
Prayer, without humility and a holy desire for God's perfect will, is empty of power and incapable of discovering remedial action or God's direction. Words alone, without action, are like dry seed pods rattling in the wind.

As Joseph, rescuer of his nation, Israel, and vice pharaoh of Egypt, warned his brothers, "Your words must be proved" and "let it be according to your words". Let your words "BE" true.

As important as our words are, what we are thinking when we say them, or pray them, is far more important. King David prayed     "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord ...." Ps.19:14.      It's the quality of the meditation which gives birth, life and quality to the words.  

So much of what is said has no life... or is not reality ... or what was honestly thought, and results in fetid bogs of leaches, snakes, frogs and fever. Often called a swamp.

The word, "repent" and "repentance", in both the Hebrew and Greek, means "a change of heart, to turn around,  go in a different direction with a different mindset, a "converted heart". If our words don't match our hearts and our actions, they are empty and vain. To say "I'm sorry" or "Lord I repent", if that isn't in our heart is false repentance.

Where there is no humility and sincerity, there is no spirituality .... or answered prayer. Repentance and revival are free ... but require action. There is a door which must be open for God to come in and for us to go through, with Him, to service.

Lord, please deliver us from this plague. I ask it in the name of and because of what Jesus did on that cross.

False Witness: God's Way To "Put the evil away from among you"

"Do to him as he had thought to do ..." 

Our great nation has reached an unprecedented moment in its history. Half the population sides with that half of politicians who have falsely charged our President with crimes and misdemeanors. I am sure Donald Trump is guilty of something ... everyone is. But he is not guilty of treason, bribery or stupidity. Thus far, in the Impeachment mad, Left-Wing, Democrat controlled House of Representatives, every Democrat, but two, voted against him. One of those refused to violate the 9th Commandment against false witness, and switched parties. The other remained in the messy, false witness, Democrat nest ... but wouldn't eat the nasty worm. The rest of the Dems were not so stupid as to believe the charges, but pretended they did ... and gave false witness to the Schiff  /Nadler/ Pelosi lies. 

The Democrat lying against the President has continued for 42 months and now has the world-wide coronavirus crisis to beat him over the head with. But they are finally losing ground with a 60%  approval of Trump's handling of this very real catastrophe. So 10% of Democrats have resigned the Donkey Braying Liars Club and are seeing the President in a clearer light.

There are many scriptural admonitions against false witness in the Bible. Here is just one, the ninth Commandment of our LORD.

"Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour." Deut. 5:20.

And then he gives the antidote to cure liars.

"If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him that which is wrong; Then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the Lord, before the priests and the judges, which shall be in those days. And the judges shall make diligent inquisition: and, behold, if the witness be a false witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother; Then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you." Deut.19:16-19

We can thank God there are still a few good Representatives, in the House and Senate, who are honest and willing to stand against the liars, False Witnesses, and their thuggish sidekicks in the fake news business .... at the risk of being utterly destroyed by them.

An even greater tragedy than this pandemic of suffering and death, which, in itself, is not a spiritual problem, is the outragous, constant attacks upon our President, to weaken him, while he is doing all in his power to preserve our nation and people.  It's like, as if, young David's brothers had tripped him up and taken his sling shot, as he went out, to save the nation, by fighting Goliath ... with 5 stones.  Stop trying to trip up our leader ... you loathsome trators. Only God can save you from yourselves.

Half Of Americans Spend Their Lives Like Adolesents At The State Fair

And don't even have bus-fare home... 

Since the beginning of human creation, people, with limited likenesses of their Creator, intellectual abilities, talents, and strength, have struggled to survive in a competitive world. Some, who recognize their Creator, as God, and choose to seek His will, and accept His word and redemption, will then be given gifts (talents) of a spiritual nature as well. 

All people, even the handicapped, have something to give, if only love and a deeper purpose for caretakers ... who have needs of their own. These abilities and needs are basic building blocks of a civilized society. I give you my time, talents and labor, to do what you can't do, or don't want to do, for your money, which you earned from someone else for whom you worked and gave your time, talent and labor, to get.  These simple truths contain a less obvious, but important fact that everyone should be made aware of.  Money is only "filthy lucre" when it is loved or accumulated for the purpose of controling other people or feeding our own lusts. 

The good, of money, is that it contains its owners time, talent and labor, required to earn it.  When you spend your money you are spending that part of your life or the lives of your parents, or whoever gave it to you. So don't waste it. Don't spend these paper replacements of your time and life, or your parents lives, for nonsense, destruction of your health, or on some stupid sin. Spend it as you would spend your life... with God looking on. Use it for good as you  would use your life. Don't waste what it took some of your life to acquire; Let God show you how to use it for good, as you would your life. There has never been a better time and opportunity to help those around us who are too young to have much or too old to do critical things for themselves like grocery shopping, than right now under this Coronavirus storm. But be very wise and aware of the dangers you expose yourself to as you go about doing so. Do not touch your face, eyes, nose or mouth until you disinfect your hands or wash them.  Your health has never been more important. 

You young people may survive this virus quite well, but if you take it home to your younger siblings, parents or grandparents, you may kill them.  Youth is often selfish, uninformed or lustful to fulfill their own "riotous living" but then have to live with the destruction for the rest of their lives. Jesus told of a young man who inherited half of his parents' estate and went out into the world and soon had wasted all of his inheritance "in riotous living".  He wasted the years of ' his parents lives they put in to earning that money. He had nothing left for his latter years except hard work, discomfort and hope for someone's charity.  Lk.15:13.
  

A Quarter Of American Adults Have No Retirement Savings

Across the United States, people are struggling to financially prepare themselves for life after work. A recent report from the U.S. Federal Reserve found that nearly a quarter of all American adults have no retirement savings or pension at all. Even though preparedness for retirement increases with age, concern about inadequate savings is also widespread among people approaching the point where they bid farewell to working life.

The data shows that 42% of people aged 18-29 have no retirement savings, along with 26% of Americans in the 30-44 age bracket. Among those closer to retirement, 17% of people aged 45 to 59 report a complete lack of retirement savings and that figure is 13% for those aged 60+. When it comes to self-assessed preparedness for retirement by age, less than half of people aged 60 and over think that their savings are on track. Unsurprisingly, younger Americans are even more pessimistic, with only 42% of people aged 45-59 and 35% of those aged 30-44 feeling prepared.                                                                                                                  ________________________

Having "some" savings for retirement isn't to say it is nearly enough.  Far less than half of Americans, aged 60 and older, actually have enough to retire, and most younger adults have barely started to even think of saving for retirement. In addition to this lamentable commentary, the interest earned on retirement savings is practically nothing, and inflation is constantly eating up the buying power of the principle.  That includes Social Security income as well.

As panicked Americans wipe store shelves clean of hand sanitizer in an effort to stave off the novel coronavirus, others have been scouring their pantry for ingredients to make a concoction of their own. But those efforts can land you in a medical emergency unrelated to COVID-19 should you mix the wrong chemicals together.

In a letter sent out from one Connecticut town’s office of emergency management, officials warned residents against mixing household bleach and ammonia, as doing so produces a toxic gas called chloramine that could cause shortness of breath and chest pain. Additionally, residents were warned against using household bleach and vinegar, which can produce a chlorine gas that causes coughing, breathing problems, burning and watery eyes.

Residents were also urged to avoid mixing household bleach and rubbing alcohol, as it produces chloroform -- which is highly toxic, and to keep hydrogen peroxide and vinegar separate, as the combination could produce peracetic/peroxyacetic acid, which is a highly corrosive solution.

Should you choose to make your own sanitizer, or possibly turn it into a fun project to do with the kids while everyone is stuck inside, there are plenty of safe ways to do so.

Health professionals continue to stress that proper hand-washing is the best way to prevent viruses such as the novel coronavirus. But if soap and water aren’t available, hand sanitizer is the next best option — namely if it contains at least 60 percent alcohol, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says. End

CHINA has launched a huge fightback against a swarm of locusts of "biblical proportions" which has now seen Pakistan declare a state of emergency.

The Middle Eastern country became the latest victim of a swarm of locusts that have wreaked havoc across East Africa for weeks, endangering economies in a region heavily dependent on agriculture for food security. Heavy rains and cyclones last year sparked unprecedented breeding and the explosive growth of locust populations on the Arabian peninsula, according to the United Nations. The pests have since fanned out and attacked India, before making their way into Pakistan from the desert on the country's southwestern border with Iran.

A new study suggests that the novel coronavirus COVID-19 can remain in the air for up to three hours, and live on surfaces such as plastic and stainless steel for up to three days.

The research, published in the medRxiv depository, also notes that the virus can remain on copper surfaces for four hours and carboard for up to 24 hours. The research found it could stay on stainless steel and plastic for anywhere between two and three days.

"Our results indicate that aerosol and fomite transmission of HCoV-19 is plausible, as the virus can remain viable in aerosols for multiple hours and on surfaces up to days," the researchers wrote in the study, which has not yet been peer-reviewed.

Another study published in February concluded that if COVID-19 is similar to other coronaviruses, such as SARS or MERS, it could live on surfaces like metal, glass and plastic for up to nine days, Fox News previously reported. By comparison, the flu virus can only live on surfaces for approximately 48 hours.

That study, published in the Journal of Hospital Infection, suggested that     coronaviruses could be "efficiently inactivated" with disinfectants that contain "62–71 percent ethanol, 0.5 percent hydrogen peroxide or 0.1 percent sodium hypochlorite within 1 minute,"     adding that other agents that contain "0.05–0.2% benzalkonium chloride or 0.02 percent chlorhexidine digluconate are less effective."

Currently, there is no specific medicine to cure or treat COVID-19.

More than 127,000 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally, including over 80,000 in China and 1,323 in the U.S., according to the latest data. (As of March 12).

My Comment: 
All the elements in hand disinfectant have suddenly become in very short supply, including rubbing alcohol and all forms of disinfectant. Ethanol is basically rubbing alcohol.  Most of us have some in our homes already. It may be mixed with gel, or a little oil or fragrance but do not mix it with other chemicals if you do not know the dangers. They are great.

I believe God expects us to deal with our earthly problems, hunger, sickness, wounds, locusts, pestilence and all kinds of obstacles. I don't think God deals with such things for us which we can deal with ourselves, to the best of our ability.  I also believe that when we have done our best, He will do the rest, if we trust Him. Do your best and trust God with the rest ... and then, yes, rest. No one can do more than that. RB

Warmers At Bernie's Dumpster Fire Party: Enjoy The Smoke & Stench

But don't stay for dinner ....

President Trump had a dream to "Make America Great Again". That doesn't mean he was a saint, or even a role model, but he was a patriotic American, and he was a hard driving successful business man, and he was a master of the deal, and he was a Constitutional Conservative, and he was, apparently a pretty good dad to his kids. But that wasn't good enough for you Hollywood type elites, or you anti-Christian anti-Jew Muslim sympathizers, or you embittered yellow dog Democrats and cynical entitlement Republicans, or you money grubbing free stuff, spoiled Socialists and Communists. So since you couldn't undo the election, you settled for unrelenting, boiling hatred for President Trump, his family, and every soul who voted for him, and everything he said of did, right or wrong. You set off a blaze of international lies against him, but that failed with a thud, so you devised a landslide of accusations, but that failed too, while your hatred only grew more vile, heated and unreasonable. 

So like the brothers of Joseph, sons of Jacob, who hated their brother because he also had a dream for them and their nation, in which he would be their President. He, like Trump, told his brothers and the world his dream for the Nation of Israel and immediately went about making his dream come true. President Trump's many, almost 400, successes elicited no joy or appreciation from his Democrat brothers, but those good things antaganized them the more to destroy him. For three years Trump succeeded in making America Great Again, and for all those three years his Democrat brothers connived, lied, set traps and sowed the seed of revolution to bring President Trump down. Well, those seed took root and produced the fruit of revolution and hatred .... Bernie Sanders and Communism.  So there they stand, where they fed the fuel of idealistic hatred, and stoked the fires of revolution in their Communist Dumpster, from which arose a man who has espoused the Marxist, Stalinist, anti-God dictatorship since he was a young college student doing all he could for Fidel Castro and world Communism. 

So you few who started this Dumpster fire with a single match, and you who now warm yourselves there, in the smoke and stench of hatred and false causes, enjoy yourselves at Bernie's Party, but don't stay for what's cookin... Its Bernie' goose and all the dumpster side dishes.

"And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words." Gen.37:8.

The Blessings Of A Believer's Old Age Are Fewer But Greater Than Youth

There isn't a lot that can be said in praise of old age,  

But working now on my 90th year, I qualify to say it. 

So I'll take my 5 frail senses, ascend the old age stage  

Stumbling, fumbling, mumbling, and try to convey it. 

Loss of youth, with virility, lusts and vibrant senses,   

Is no great loss if you live in God's presence and love. 
Unlike foolish youth, these bear no vile will offences    
But imbue holy truth, faith and peace from up above.

Old Geezer Wisdom

An old physician, Doctor Gordon Geezer, became very bored in retirement and decided to reopen a medical clinic.

He put a sign up outside that said: "Dr. Geezer's Clinic ... Get your treatment for $500. If not cured, you get back $1000."

Doctor Digger Young, who was positive that this old geezer didn't know beans about medicine, thought this would be a great opportunity to get $1000, so he went to Dr. Geezer's clinic.

Dr. Young:   "Dr. Geezer, I have lost all taste in my mough. Can you please help me?"

Dr. Geezer:   "Nurse, please bring medicine from the box 22 and put 3 drops in Dr. Young's mouth."  Nurse obeyed.

Dr. Young:   "Aaagh !  This is gasoline!"

Dr. Geezeer: "Congratulations! You've got your taste back. That will be $500."

Dr. Young gets so annoyed that he goes back after a couple of days figuring to recover his money and says, "Dr. Geezer, I have lost my memory. I cannot remember anything."

Dr. Geezer:   "Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in the patient's mouth."

Dr. Young:  "Oh, no you don't ... that is gasoline!"

Dr. Geezer:   "Congratulations! You've got your memory back. That will be $500."

Dr. Young, after having lost $1000, leaves angrily ... but comes back after several more days.

Dr. Young:    "My eyesight has become so weak I can hardly see anything. Can you help me."

Dr. Geezer:    "Sorry, I don't have any medicine for that so here's your $1000 back", giving him a $10 bill.

Dr. Young:    "But this is only $10. !!"

Dr. Geezer: "Congratulations! You got your vision back! That will be $500."

Prayer Plus Precaution & Preparation always in order 

"Humans have never seen this snake-associated virus before and have no internal defense against it."  Says Professsor of pathology, molecular virologist, among first to study coronavirus.

I read a wide variety of informed, internet friends, many I only know by their internet moniker. One of these has just given himself away to share his expertise on the coronavirus with his friends who have a common interest message board that has nothing to do with the information he shared.

This gentleman turns out to be an aging professor of pathology with solid credentials on the coronavirus subject. I will only pass on the body of text which may be of interest to you. Many of his personal and lifetime friends also read the message board and know who he is. Here is his message. RB

Subject: What I am doing for the upcoming COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

Dear Colleagues, as some of you may recall, when I was a professor of pathology at the University of California San Diego, I was one of the first molecular virologists in the world to work on coronaviruses (the 1970s). I was the first to demonstrate the number of genes the virus contained. Since then, I have kept up with the coronavirus field and its multiple clinical transfers into the human population (e.g., SARS, MERS), from different animal sources.

The current projections for its expansion in the US are only probable, due to continued insufficient worldwide data, but it is most likely to be widespread in the US by mid to late March and April.

Here is what I have done and the precautions that I take and will take. These are the same precautions I currently use during our influenza seasons, except for the mask and gloves.:

1) NO HANDSHAKING! Use a fist bump, slight bow, elbow bump, etc.

2) Use ONLY your knuckle to touch light switches. elevator buttons, etc.. Lift the gasoline dispenser with a paper towel or use a disposable glove.

3) Open doors with your closed fist or hip - do not grasp the handle with your hand, unless there is no other way to open the door. Especially important on bathroom and post office/commercial doors.

4) Use disinfectant wipes at the stores when they are available, including wiping the handle and child seat in grocery carts.

5) Wash your hands with soap for 10-20 seconds and/or use a greater than 60% alcohol-based hand sanitizer whenever you return home from ANY activity that involves locations where other people have been.

6) Keep a bottle of sanitizer available at each of your home's entrances. AND in your car for use after getting gas or touching other contaminated objects when you can't immediately wash your hands.

7) If possible, cough or sneeze into a disposable tissue and discard. Use your elbow only if you have to. The clothing on your elbow will contain infectious virus that can be passed on for up to a week or more!

What I have stocked in preparation for the pandemic spread to the US:

1) Latex or nitrile latex disposable gloves for use when going shopping, using the gasoline pump, and all other outside activity when you come in contact with contaminated areas.

Note: This virus is spread in large droplets by coughing and sneezing. This means that the air will not infect you! BUT all the surfaces where these droplets land are infectious for about a week on average - everything that is associated with infected people will be contaminated and potentially infectious. The virus is on surfaces and you will not be infected unless your unprotected face is directly coughed or sneezed upon. This virus only has cell receptors for lung cells (it only infects your lungs) The only way for the virus to infect you is through your nose or mouth via your hands or an infected cough or sneeze onto or into your nose or mouth.

2) Stock up now with disposable surgical masks and use them to prevent you from touching your nose and/or mouth (We touch our nose/mouth 90X/day without knowing it!). This is the only way this virus can infect you - it is lung-specific. The mask will not prevent the virus in a direct sneeze from getting into your nose or mouth - it is only to keep you from touching your nose or mouth.

3) Stock up now with hand sanitizers and latex/nitrile gloves (get the appropriate sizes for your family). The hand sanitizers must be alcohol-based and greater than 60% alcohol to be effective.

4) Stock up now with zinc lozenges. These lozenges have been proven to be effective in blocking coronavirus (and most other viruses) from multiplying in your throat and nasopharynx. Use as directed several times each day when you begin to feel ANY "cold-like" symptoms beginning. It is best to lie down and let the lozenge dissolve in the back of your throat and nasopharynx. Cold-Eeze lozenges is one brand available, but there are other brands available.

I, as many others do, hope that this pandemic will be reasonably contained, BUT I personally do not think it will be. Humans have never seen this snake-associated virus before and have no internal defense against it. Tremendous worldwide efforts are being made to understand the molecular and clinical virology of this virus. Unbelievable molecular knowledge about the genomics, structure, and virulence of this virus has already been achieved. BUT, there will be NO drugs or vaccines available this year to protect us or limit the infection within us. Only symptomatic support is available.
