Test Of Reasoning Power and intelligence: Why Is it ?

The "Why Is It Test" was devised from information gained
from 80 years of in depth study and observation, of human
characteristics, by Dr. R. Lee Blair D.D., Litt.D, OA.D.

The following percentage estimates are within 3% of accuracy.

This is a test of reasoning power and intelligence in
answering 12 questions of, "Why is it?

1. Why us it that 90% of all Abortionists...............

2.  "    "    "    "    90% of Hollywood ......................

3.  "    "    "     "   90% of Homosexuals ..................

Why is it that all 90% of those categories....
All claim and support the same Political Party ?
The answer is obvious.  They all relate to each other.
They all have some character traits in common !
And which Party is that ?  Yes, you are correct.
You must have guessed it on the basis of the
evidence ...... Because I did not say. RLB

Only pass it on if you are willing to lose all the

Vatican's Pact With Islam... Another Window Of Prophecy Opens

My study of Bible Prophecy has, for years, left a large question mark over my understanding of a certain event of the End Times.  That unanswered question was, "How will the Beast, False Prophet, Antichrist and Harlot Church ever find harmony during the first three and a half years of the seven year Tribulation Period".  Now, I think I know ... intimidation, fear, compromise and peace at any price have bought an unthinkable unity. The following article may answer that question. RB

               Vatican's Pact With Islam

                              Ynet news by Giulio Meotti

It has been several years since he gave his controversial lectio about Islam at the German University of Regensburg. On Sept. 12th, 2006, Joseph Ratzinger claimed that the god of the Muslims is both transcendental and unreasonable and he severely condemned jihad and the use of violence in the name of Koran. It was the only public event in which a Pope told the truth about some aspects of Islamic religion.
It has been five years since he gave his controversial lect about Islam at the German University Benedict XVI made himself a central player in the post 9/11 era.  His speech against the link between religion and violence, typical of Islam today, was not a mistake or a false step, as some observers wrote at that time, it was, rather, a vigorous attack against certain aspects of Islamic fanaticism.

The reaction to the Pope's speech was a familiar spectacle: Threats, riots, and violence. From the religious leaders in Muslim majority countries to the New York Times, all demanded the Pope's apologies.  In the Palestinian areas, churches were attacked and Christians targeted.  In the Somali capital, Mogadishu, an Italian nun was executed. In Iraq, Amer Iskander, a Syrian Orthodox priest, was beheaded and his arms mutilated.

In Islamic forums, Ratzinger was depicted like Dracula. He received many death threats. "Slaughter him", "pig servant of the cross", "odious evil", "Allah curse him", "vampire who sucks blood" and so on.  The highest Islamic representative in Turkey, Ali Bardakoglu, declared that ratzinger's speech was "full of enmity and hatred." The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood pledged "reactions worse than those against the Danish cartoons". Iran's supreme Ayatollah, Ali Khomenei, accused the Pope of being part of "the conspiracy of the Crusaders."  Under pressure, and aiming to stop any further violence, the Pope apologized.

Benedict XVI recently visited again his native Germany, but this time with a different agenda.  Five years later, the Vatican adopted a pro-Islam course and has capitulated to fanatical Islamists. In a recent book written by German journalist Peter Sewald, Pope Ratzinger expressed "regrets" about the Regensburg lecture.  the Vatican's Secretary of State, Tarcisio Bertone, buried the Pope's lesson about Islam as "an archaeological relic."

"The default positions vis-a-vis militant Islam are now unhappily reminiscent of Vatican diplomacy's default positions vis-a-vis communism during the last 26 years of the Cold War," writes George Weigel, a leading US writer about the Vatican.  The Vatican's new agenda seeks "to reach political accommodations with Islamic states and forswear forceful public condemnation of Islamists and jihadist ideology."

After Regensburg, the Vatican adopted an appeasement agenda, Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, who is known for having a pro-Islam position, was appointed by the Pope as the head of the Pontifical Council for  Interreligious Dialogue.

Indeed, Dialogue with Iran's mullahs is pivotal in the new Vatican agenda. Recently, a delegation of clergy members of Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly visited the Vatican meeting with top Catholic officials.

The Vatican sent Archbishop Edmond Farhat, who is the official representative of Vatican politics, to Tehran to attend an "international conference on the global campaign against terrorism." Vatican representatives met with Muslim leaders from around the world in Tehran for "a three-day interreligious dialogue."  In Tehran Cardinal Tauran praised Iran's "spirit of cordiality" and "the friendly Ahmadinejad".  The Vatican published a letter written by Tauran, addressing his "Dear Muslim friends." In the letter, Tauran asked for Islamic help to form an alliance against atheism.

In 2008, the Vatican promoted "Love of God, Love of Neighbor,"  the first three-day forum with Islamic leaders. The Pope agreed to meet one of the most dangerous Islamists in the Western world, the grandson of Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna, Tariq Ramadan - the Swiss scholar who denies Israel's right to life and who had been banned from entering the US because of his alleged association with extremists.

Recently Bishop Mariano Crociata, secretary general of the Italian Episcopal Conference, announced that the Vatican is in favor of building new mosques in Europe. A month later the European Bishops met with European Muslims in Turin (Cardinal Tauran was also present) to proclaim the need for the "progressive enculturation of Islam in Europe."

In Rimini, a seaside resort on the Atlantic coast, the Comunione e Liberazione movement, one of the most powerful in the Catholic Church, holds its massive annual "meeting" that usually draws some 700,000 people. The Catholic movement last month hosted the president of Al Azhar, the most important Islamic university in Cairo, and a senior leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, despite the fact that for the first time the US Commission on Religious Freedom recommeded that Egypt be placed on a list of the "worst of the worst" countries for persecution of Christian.

The State of Israel is easily expendable in the new pro-Islam policy. In January 2009, thousands of Muslims marched in front of Milan's Duomo to protest against Operation Cast Lead in Gaza.  They burned Israeli flags and chanted anti-Jewish slogans.  Joaquin Navarro-Valls, John Paul II's spokesman for 22 years, defended the "freedom of expression" of the Muslims who burned the Star of David.

Months later, Pope Benedict visited Bethlehem, where the Christian population has dropped from a majority to less than 20%.  Benedict delivered a message of solidarity to the 1.4 million Palestinians isolated in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip.  He said nothing of the suffering of Gaza's 3000 Christians since Hamas took over that territory in 2007.

Benedict could have decried the bombings, shootings and other Islamist attacks against Gaza Christian establishments, the brutal murder of the only Bible-store owner of Gaza, or the regular intimidation and persecution of Christians there. Instead, the Pope stood beside Mahmoud Abbas as the Palestinian leader deceptively pointed to a concrete separation barrier in Bethlehem and blamed that barrier, as well as Israeli "occupation", for the plight of Christians.

A few weeks later, the United Nations ran "Durban II" and on the first day of the conference, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the only head of state to attend, made a speech condemning Israel as "totally racist" and referred to the Holocaust as an "ambiguous and dubious question." When Ahmadinsejad began to speak against the Jews, all European Union delegates left the conference room.  The Vatican delegation didn't say a word.

To understand the new Vatican's approach toward Islam, one should also read what happened in the historical synod of the Middle East hosted by the Pope last autumn.  Nothing was said about Islamist persecution of Christians, Indeed, every effort was made to show the Catholic Church's sympathy to Muslim grievances, especially against "Zionism" - a word evoked as a symbol of evil.

Aside from Iraq, the only country singled out for criticism in the Middle East was Israel. Patriarch Antonios Naguib of the Egyptian Coptic, was simple: Islamism is the consequence of Israeli policies. The synod was carefully prepared for a year, and it produced a rash of radical anti-Jewish statements on both political and theological issues.

The rightful concern of the Vatican for co-religionists has also been silenced. Intimidation, thuggery, and violence have succeeded in turning away criticism not only of Islam, but of violence committed in the name of Islam against Christians.

Over the past several years, Christians have endured bombings, murders, assassinations, torture, imprisonment and expulsions.  The very roots of the Christian heritage in the Middle East are being extirpated. When last winter Christians were killed in Egypt, Cardinal Tauran and the Vatican foreign office requested to "avoid anger" and downplayed the Islamist role in the butchering.

In the summer of 2010, Bishop Luigi Padovese, Vatican vicar for Anatolia and president of the Catholic Episcopal Conference of Turkey, was slaughtered by Islamic fanatics in Iskenderun on the eve of the Pope's trip to Cyprus. Vatican diplomacy did its part to convince the Pope to immediately and preemptively rule out the idea that this was a "political or religious" murder.

Elsewhere, the number of Christians in Turkey declined from two million to 85,000, in Syria, from half the population they have been reduced to 4%; in Jordan, from 18% to 2%; nearly two-thirds of the 500,000 Christians in Bagdad have fled or been killed, in Lebanon, Christians have dwindled to a sectarian rump, menaced by surging Shiite and Sunni populations, and in Saudi Arabia Christians have been beaten or tortured by religious police.

It's an ethnic cleansing of monumental proportions that makes it clear why the Vatican's submission to political Islam, along with its religious anti-Israel stance, will be remembered as one of the greatest moral failings of the 21st Century.

World Bank... World Government... World Leader... Antichrist

Common Sense Commentary: Is The Warrior, Deliverer, Archangel "Michael" standing up?  If he is, the Anti-Christ is on stage behind the curtain and Christ has His hand upon the door knob of heaven.

Michael is one of three Archangels. Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer. Lucifer was the "Light Reflector" of God's glorious brilliance to the universe. Gabriel is God's "Special Messenger" for special occasions. Michael is God's "Warrior, Deliverer" of God's people from Lucifer (Satan, the Devil).

God's Prophet, Daniel, mentions only Gabriel and Michael because Lucifer had already been
cast out of heaven into darkness, at the time of this prophecy. He delivered it, from God, to God's people in Daniel  12:14.

"And at that time shall MICHAEL STAND UP ,the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people; and there shall be a time of trouble (tribulation), such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life (the many) and some to shame and everlasting contempt (the rest). And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book even to the time of the end; (when) many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."

V.1 - Michael stands up for God's people when the seven years of Tribulation on earth start. He "delivers every one written in the book". "The Book" is that final version of "the book of the living" Psm.69:28 , from which all who were never saved are "blotted out". But the born again remain in what is becoming the "Lamb's Book of Life". Rev.21:27. All who's names will still be written there are overcomers ... "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I WILL NOT BLOT OUT HIS NAME out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels." Rev.3:5. And who is an "overcomer"? "This is the victory that OVERCOMETH the world, even our FAITH.  Who is he that OVERCOMETH the world, but he that BELIEVETH THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD." 1Jn.5:4-5.

V. 2 - All of those "Written in the Book", whose dead bodies are in the grave, since Christ's resurrection, shall be resurrected and glorified as their eternal spirits (life) rejoin their bodies on the way up to meet Jesus in the air. "We know, that when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see him as He is." 1Jn.3:2. This is the "latter rain fruit" of the First Resurrection in Jm.5:7.   But everyone else, "The rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished (Millennium Reign of Christ on earth)." Rev.20:5. The First Resurrection is for the saved and the Judgement Seat of Christ. The Second Resurrection is for the lost and the Great White Throne Judgement Seat of God after the thousand year reign of Christ.

V. 3 - The "wise" are those who were not only saved but faithfully obeyed and served God in their earthly lives and thereby "turned many to righteousness." They "shall shine as the brightness of the heavens ... as the stars for ever and ever." Lucifer's name means "shinning one" but he lost his place as the reflector of God's glorious light and he became darkness, as Satan, in a "formless void" earth. Gen.1:2. But, at the resurrection of true Christians, "they who have turned many to righteousness" will shine God's glory throughout the universe as the bride of Christ, the fourth member of the heavenly family.

V. 4 - After giving this prophecy to and through Daniel, God instructs him to "Shut up the words, and seal the book even to (until) the time of the end ... (when) many shall run to and fro (advanced transport) and knowledge shall be increased.". Here, God gives two signs of the end times, RAPID TRAVEL and INCREASED KNOWLEDGE. Now when do you suppose that prophecy will be fulfilled?

Does the term I.T. (Information Technology) mean anything to you? We are living in a time when the volumes of "knowledge" are "increasing" so rapidly that Hi Tech is doubling every two years. with increasing speed. Any Hi Tech device you buy today is already behind the knowledge curve within its own kind of technology.

Besides the advancement of discovery in all areas, the ability to store all that knowledge... which can be retrieved in a split second with the breath touch of a finger tip. It is even available in a cell phone. I can call around the world ... free ... with VOIP. I can instantly bring up millions of bits of information (knowledge) at the speed of light with a key stroke. When I type in two or three letters of a word, into a search engine, it anticipates what I am asking for before I finish the word and is already showing it to me. There are over a billion searches just on google every single day not counting other search engines.

My question to you is, "Are these I.T. days of rapid travel and  increasing knowledge the time of the end, of which Daniel prophesied?"

Thousands of years ago, the entire world had one language and they came together as a United Nations into a single nation. Their united goal was, to build a world capitol city with a "tower to heaven" as a way to Deity. Its name, Babel ... Confusion. That city and tower were the pinnacle of accumulated, world knowledge, at that time, but God came down and destroyed IT all. A surviving root of that effort, at World Government, has sprung up again. Its initial appearance is in the form of the United Nations ... and now as the World Bank which already exists but  will soon have Global Authority. See below one of many nations wanting a global currency, global law and global leadership.  The Vatican is a recognized  nation.

Vatican calls for global authority on economy,
               raps “idolatry of the markets"

(Saint Peter's Basilica at the Vatican October 23, 2011/Giampiero Sposito)

The Vatican called on Monday for the establishment of a “global public authority” and a “central world bank” to rule over financial institutions that have become outdated and often ineffective in dealing fairly with crises. The document from the Vatican’s Justice and Peace department should please the “Occupy Wall Street” demonstrators and similar movements around the world who have protested against the economic downturn.
“Towards Reforming the International Financial and Monetary Systems in the Context of a Global Public Authority,” was at times very specific, calling, for example, for taxation measures on financial transactions. “The economic and financial crisis which the world is going through calls everyone, individuals and peoples, to examine in depth the principles and the cultural and moral values at the basis of social coexistence,” it said.

“If no solutions are found to the various forms of injustice, the negative effects that will follow on the social, political and economic level will be destined to create a climate of growing hostility and even violence, and ultimately undermine the very foundations of democratic institutions, even the ones considered most solid,” it said.

We have had a corrupted world forum in the United Nations. The present world crisis is causing many nations, the IMF, the World Central Bank, and now the Vatican to insist  upon  a world-wide monetary authority to bring order to world currencies and stop the unlimited digital and otherwise printing of money. Control of a nations money supply results in absolute control of that people and that nation ............."And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." Rev.13:17.  The pieces are all coming together.

Mathematics of The Master Mathematician

Common Sense Commentary:

The pinnacle of Biblical mathematics is found in the words of Jesus, "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father the Word and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." 1 John 5:7.
That being the case, it must also be appropriate to say, "This One is Three."  Since God is creator of all things, including Mathematics, He is not held to any standard except His own.  "Three are one" is not comprehensible to the human brain ... but doesn't need to be.  God designed the brain, with limitations, obviously, but He isn't limited by human understanding.
To explore the subject of "three in one", let me suggest this principle in the simplest form with my maximum capability which is also simple.  One might also say, "This one egg is three things, a shell, a yoke and a white (albumen) or, better still, this H20 has three realities, liquid, ice and steam. These three are one thing... H20.  Each of these forms of water is also a mix of three equal measures ... two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen... three are one. But the best, I think, is to introduce a father, a son, and a brother who are all three in one husband. He is a son of his parents, a father to his children and a brother to his siblings but he is one man.  This is a  feeble explanation of the Holy Trinity (three in one) and our Triune (three in one) God, but as close as I am able to explain the Divine in human terms.  Not being Divine, "human" is all I have. The Divine mathematics of God do not add up in brain cells made of dirt.  Literally everything on earth comes out of the soil or, "dust of the ground".

Since God and Time and Space are infinite, they cannot be measured with numbers, centuries, distance,  comparables or any other kind of analysis.  But every mathematical metric and method used in the effort is designed and ordered by God.  He uses the math terms, hundreds of times in Scripture.  He apparently has everything numbered.  He numbers the birds, animals and people. "Even the very hairs of your head are numbered." Lk.12:7.  He even has a book of "Numbers" in the Bible which is full of numbered things.  The last book in the Bible warns of a numbered "beast". "COUNT  the NUMBER of the beast; for it is the NUMBER  of a man; and his NUMBER  is 666." Rev.13:18.

God Subtracts, Adds, Multiplies and Divides.

ISubtraction = 384 times, in the Bible, it says God "Takes away" things and people. He takes away possessions, sin, loved ones, guilt, life and many other references. I especially took note of Ezek.45:9 "Thus saith the Lord God ... O princes (rulers)... remove violence and spoil (confiscated riches) and execute justice, take away your exactions (expulsions/subtractions) from my people...."  In brief form, "Subtract your subtractions from my people" or "stop robbing (excess taxes) and abusing them".

II. Addition = The "add" verse that caught my eye was Rev.22:18 "... If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book."

III. Multiplication = God multiplies blessings and judgement in Scripture but I like this one...
"Surely blessing I will bless thee, and   multiplying I will multiply thee.  Heb.6:14.

IV. Division = God "divided" the waters from the land in Gen.1. He "divided" the day from the night. He "divided" the Red Sea for his people in Exodus.  He "divided" the Promised Land between the 12 tribes of Israel and they are still having to fight for it."And (Jesus) took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, take this, and divide it among yourselves...." Lk.22:17.

Our Creator God is neither limited nor affected by time. He is YHWH, the "Eternal Existing One", the ever present, timeless, only God of the Universe. "One day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." 2Pet.3:8.

Mathematics of Archimedes' Constant (Pi)

Common Sense Commentary: Pi  "The heavens declare the glory of God."  Psm.19:1

                                           Archimedes' Constant
                                                     by  RB
This eternal, consistent constant is known as "Pi", which Greek letter looks similar to TT , and is the most famous of all mathematical concepts.  Its constancy is in its ratio of any circle's circumference to its diameter.  Though, in that sense it is always constant, its exact numerical value is impossible to determine because its endless fractions are ad infinitum.  Therefore, when defining or using it, we have to settle for a number we can easily deal with, which is 3.14, its first three digits.  I could type up 10,000 pages of it and not even start on its infinite length of fractions.  The first nine digits are 3.14159265 and so on.

This week, a team of Japanese math enthusiasts, using a PC, broke a Pi record.  It took them a year, but they succeeded in doubling a super computer's record of 5 billion digits, by recording 10 billion digits of Pi.

The most interesting thing about Pi is that all of nature, science and engineering are reflective of it into the billions or probably trillions or more ways.  Not that we need any more proof, but Pi is simply another irrefutable proof of intelligence  in Creation.   It is just another of God's finger prints on the Universe.

As far as we know, Pi was first recognized in the third century, before Christ's birth into the earth, by Archimedes of Syracuse and was originally known as "Archimedes' Constant".  It is not only another proof of an intelligent Creator God, but also, an eternal, infinite, constant Creator. Talk about Pi in the sky in the here and now.

Semantics Of Liberal Socialism

Common Sense Commentary:

Rule One of Financial Intelligence, Wisdom and Responsibility: Spend less than you take in.

Rule One of Adolescent Adulthood: Spend all you take in on fun and stuff and borrow for bills.

Rule One of Liberal Socialism: Spend as much as necessary to force equality among the masses...
Except us Civil Servants.

When God instituted Civil Government in Genesis 9:5-6, He chose the lesser of two evils. Knowing the sinful nature of the entire human race, since the fall of the first two people into the sin of disobedience, He could leave them in anarchy, without civil laws and government which would insure complete chaos, uncontrolled plunder, rape, enslavement and murder or; He could establish Civil Law ... administered  by these same sinful humans.  Civil Order, in a flawed, imperfect degree, was obviously more beneficial to people and more acceptable to God than the alternative. So, He gave us one very big Civil Law .... "Life for a Life, Blood for blood, eye for an eye, tooth for tooth", and gave the authority, not to individuals but to society, in union, to enforce. This, of course led to organized societies, clans, tribes, areas, then state, national and now, World Law.  Later, He gave more specificity in the Ten Commandments Of Law.  Never read the Ten Commandments chapter without reading the chapter following it.  All other laws, honestly legislated for the good of society, are based on those Ten Commandments as they are based on the original One, Life for Life.

So, we elect who we think are the best sinners among us to Legislate, Judge and Execute the laws that are supposed to help and protect us ... which they seldom do, as intended.  Since God said, "The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked ...." Jer.17:9, therefore, whoever we elect fits that description.  The best we can hope and pray for are truly born again, wise Christian men and women .  But, then, they can't get elected because most of the voters are partial to promiscuity, cussin, drinkin, smokin pot, free stuff and Socialism under the guise of "Equality".  Socialism's purpose of compulsively homogenizing the whole human race, like a Mississippi flood, and bringing everyone to the same level of muddy water poverty, is fantacy.  That river bottom level of Socialism is even lower than pre-Socialism's level back in the bayou, and leads to financial and national ruin for everyone. Liberal Socialism wants perfection from imperfect laws and imperfect people in an imperfect world.  They want safety without guns, free gov. money without limits, marriage to the animal  of their choice, mercy for the guilty they relate to, and abortion to the innocent they do not relate to.

We are like Israel and King Jeroboam who ... "made an house of high places, and priests of the lowest of the people ..." 1K.12:31.  And like Israel, we will surely reap the consequences of our bad choices and self destructive bad behaviour plus what our, "lowest of the people" leaders have done to us.
A prestigious "house of high places" ruled over by "the lowest of the people" is what we have "made".

The "Semantics of Socialism" needs no more definition than what is happening to our own government and governments around the world ... RIGHT NOW.  They have spent their countries into a bottomless pit trying to appease their constituent sinners and build a socialistic Paradise similar to the Tower of Babel.   What they got was Semantic Confusion .  The Semantics of Socialism is, "We rob you blind for the good of mankind."  It is their national anthem.  They spew out the lie of pie in the sky bye and bye like manna from heaven and seven come eleven .... but what do we get?  Snake eyes!

Socialism is a loser's game.  EVERY nation which has taken a seat at that table has lost their shirt and britches too.  Like that other Tower of Babel, when they were bitten by that Confusion Bug, they were destined to run out of the people's money and the fallacy of a free brick Paradise turned to a pile of ... mud.   The simple truth is, that, even though a bad government may be a bit better than anarchy, "bad" is not what God authorized or wanted for us.  Socialism is an enigma ... free stuff at first but in the end it is a ponzie scheme in which everybody loses and nations fall into utter poverty. The function of one of those inverted, pyramid ponzi schemes is like a funnel pouring excess to the few at the receiving end and ponzi to the crowd of  poor pourers at the big open mouth.  If you did it, you would go to jail or into hiding; But gov. social planners and other con-artists do it all the time with impunity.  Your Social Security "contributions" were just <<<that. Those "contributions" were supposed to be "insurance premiums"  but they flowed, for years, through the gov. funnel into the pockets of minimal or non-contributors and gov. borrowing it for other social planning schemes. Now, you generous Americans under 60 will be "lucky" to ever get back a nickel out of that gaudy gov. slot machine.  And that's just one of Socialism's offspring. There are hundreds of other taxes.

The Semantic Mathematics of Socialism is, subtract money from producers, divide it between the government and the slothful non producers, add more taxes to the producers and then multiply debt and currency supply until the babel tower reaches heaven. It never succeeds, but reduces us all to the lowest common denominatorponzi of "Free Stuff".
Thus, the age old, old age, grandma & grandpa maxim, "They ain't no free lunch, somebody pays."
Taxpayers and churches would gladly take care of severely handicapped people and homeless children but we old folks had better have been frugal and planned for our retirement. We knew it was coming. I'm 80 but I'm not counting on Social Security to help me finish the race. Wallmart Greeter? Maybe.
God gave a simple, always effective, remedy for that part of human nature which says, "It's too much trouble to get a job and work when I can get a free living from "the Government".  The verse says,
"...This we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.... There are some who walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies." 2Thess.3:10-12.

At 80, helped President Monroe shape the Monroe Doctrine.
At 81, almost single-handedly created the University of Virginia , and served as its first president.
At 83, died on the 50th anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence, along with John Adams
Thomas Jefferson knew because he himself studied the previous failed attempts at government. He understood actual history, the nature of God, his laws and the nature of man. That happens to be way more than what most understand today. Jefferson really knew his stuff. A voice from the past to lead us in the future:
John F. Kennedy held a dinner in the white House for a group of the brightest minds in the nation at that time. He made this statement: "This is perhaps the assembly of the most intelligence ever to gather at one time in the White House with the exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone."
"When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe ." -- Thomas Jefferson
"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."
-- Thomas Jefferson
"It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world."
-- Thomas Jefferson
"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them." -- Thomas Jefferson
"My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government." -- Thomas Jefferson
"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson
"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."
-- Thomas Jefferson
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." -- Thomas Jefferson
"To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical."
-- Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.
If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property - until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."  Please share this with others.

Soldiers For Christ In The War Of the Ages

Common Sense Commentary:  "No man that warreth entangleth himself in the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." 1Tim.2:4.

Spiritually speaking, HISTORY is HIS STORY, good against evil and God against Devil, but physically speaking, History is primarily a story of WAR .... War in heaven between Lucifer (Satan) and Jehovah God, was the original war and seed of all other wars in human HISTORY.  That first war  was inflamed by the same emotions as those wars which followed on earth.  It erupted in Lucifer's unfaithful, treasonist heart and mind.  It was his PRIDE, JEALOUSY, SELFISHNESS, GREED AND FANTACY OF POWER AND RECOGNITION,  above that of God's, which drove him in alienating one third of the angels and trying to dethrone and dispose of God. You may say, "How foolish".  Yes, but men are still being used of Lucifer to that same end and it still leads to wars between men and nations. Even NOW, the entire world is a match strike from explosion into war. There have been wars between earthly kingdoms of men, civil wars within nations, tribal wars, and religious wars.   Wars have established empires and torn down empires... throughout the history of man.

There is no spot on earth more holy than the Holy Land, where Jesus walked, but no spot on earth more plagued by unholy wars and surrounded by unholy religion, than the Holy Land.  More massed armies have marched and fought over this territory than any other anywhere. The great World Kindoms of the past, ending with the Roman Empire, have trampled and soaked this soil with blood for centuries.  This last, Rome, was ruling  that entire part of the world when Jesus was born right in the path of Rome's military machine.  Military terms were so common in the Holy Land, that they became part of the language.  the Apostle, who was first known as Saul of Tarsus, before he was converted, was Jewish but a Roman citizen.  He was extremely well educated, quite wealthy, was a Judaic fanatic who had immediate access to the High Priest (Acts 9:1).  Later, as a Christian himself, and an Apostle of Christ, Paul was used of God to establish many churches, win many souls to Christ and to write half the books of the New Testament.   In those epistles, he very often used Roman Military terms to emphacise a military aspect of being a faithful Christian.  Examples of Paul's Military centric concept of being a disciple of Christ follow:

"I see another law in my members (body) WARRING  aagainst the law of my mind, and bringing me into CAPTIVITY  to the law of sin in my members (flesh)." Rom.7:23.

"The WEAPONS  of our WARFARE  are not carnal, but mighty through God to the PULLING DOWN OF STRONG HOLDS  (fortresses)."  2Cor.10:4.

"This CHARGE (orders) I commit unto thee, son Timothy..., that thou ... mightest WAR a good WARFARE."  1Tim.1:18.

"FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT  of faith, LAY HOLD ON (capture) eternal life, whereunto thou art also CALLED (commissioned)."  1Tim.6:12.

"For we WRESTLE (routine combat training in Roman army) not against flesh and blood but against  PRINCIPALITIES (governments) against  POWERS (authority) against the RULERS of the darkness of this world, against SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES." Eph.6:11:18.

"...Endure hardness as a good SOLDIER... No man that warreth entangleth himself in the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath CHOSEN  him to be a SOLDIER." 2Tim.2:3-4.

Am I a soldier of the cross, A follower of the Lamb?
And shall I fear to own His cause, Or blush to speak His name?

Are there no foes for me to face? Must I not stem the flood?
is this vile world a friend to grace, To help me on to God?

Sure I must fight, if I would reign; Increase my courage, Lord;
I'll bear the toil, endure the pain, Supported by Thy word.

Christians In Questionable Places

Common Sense Commentary:

Someone asked me if I thought it was wrong for a Christian to go into a bar.

The answer is, as with many other questionable places, like drug houses, it depends on why you are there.  If you go there to honor and glorify God by handing out gospel tracts and witnessing for Christ, it is a good thing to do, but take another Christian witness with you.  On the other hand, if you go there to join in  the revelry, it is wrong.  If you are employed there, like a bar keep, even if you don't drink your product, you are enabling others and contributing to their ruin.  We have taken in many a ruined life at the Rescue Mission, whose first few visits to a bar, with a friend, was sitting at a table drinking a coke.  In my young ministry, one of our deacons and I went into a bar, next to the church, on Saturday nights to hand out tracts and invite the customers to church next morning.  The owner hated it and his clientele ceased to go there after a while. They weren't there to honor God or hear about Jesus.  We were.  I wonder why the "Blue Moon" closed down. It was a popular place.

But, what does the Word of God say about questionable things.

"Jesus said, unto his disciples, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and  follow me." Matt.16:24.  Are you comfortable taking your Bible there with you?

Ask yourself, "What would Jesus do?" Would Jesus do what you are doing in the place?
"I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you." Matt.13:15.

"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity." 1 Tim.4:12.  Would you invite your church to go with you?

"In ALL things showing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity." Titus 2:7.  Would you want your teen-age daughter to hang out there?

"Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness." 2 Pet.3:17. Steadfastness dies with conscience.

"Let no man deceive thee with vain words .... Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness...." Eph.5:6 & 11.  Don't be surprised if your friends who do the same, "not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." Rom.1:32.

I hope that answers your question.  I will pray for your son.

Your DOORBELL Is Ringing! Free Stuff

Common Sense Commentary: "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" Jn.8:32

You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the industrious out of it. You don't multiply wealth by dividing it. Government cannot give anything to anybody that it doesn't first take from somebody else. Whenever somebody receives something without working for it, somebody else has to work for it without receiving. The worst thing that can happen to a nation is for half of the people to get the idea they don't have to work because somebody else will work for them, and the other half to get the idea that it does no good to work because they don't get to
enjoy the fruits of their labor.

~ Dr. Adrian Rogers, 1931 - 2005

"One of the penalties for refusing
to participate in politics is that you end up
being governed by your inferiors."

~ Plato

"The oppressed are allowed once every few years
to decide which particular representatives of the
oppressing class are to represent and repress them."
~ Karl Marx

A lot of truth is in that last quote but what he brought to the world was "oppression's zenith". I suspect there is a new one, just coming to power, which will be even worse than Karl Marx created.

"In a democracy the poor will have
more power than the rich,
because there are more of them,
and the will of the majority is supreme."

~ Aristotle

Common Sense Comment: RB
Aristotle was right in what he said, but the U.S.A. is not solely a Democracy.  Democracy is "Majority Rule", but what we have is a Democratic Republic.  The "Democracy" part gives everyone an equal vote. The majority vote carries in a states election of its local and national political Representatives, and state and local issues. The "Republic" part keeps the majority from abusing the minority and making them second class citizens.  A Republic is supposed to be a government of laws as is our U.S. Constitution.  Every other law must, by law, harmonize with and strengthen our basic law, the U.S. Constitution.  The Constitution is what protects the individual and  minorities... not the Democracy but the Republic.  If you had lived in Germany during WWII, you would have seen  the majority so intimidated by the NAZI, Socialist government , that they were afraid to cross Adolph Hitler and his Brown Shirts, so they went along with and voted the way he wanted them to.  As a result, several minorities were left completely at the mercy of what became a Nazi majority.  The excluded  included Jews, Gypsies and evangelical Christians as well as others.  I would not want to live in a pure democracy where the majority could vote themselves into wealth and total power and vote the minorities into poverty and persecution or vise versa, where the majority of Socialists could vote the industrious producers into oblivion and themselves, wards of the state. Our Constitutional Republic is the horse-power which pulls our national carriage but  democracy holds the reins.  Both are vital to what has made America successful and exceptional in the past and will again if thinking Americans will all vote and insist upon a restoration of respect and obedience of our U.S. Constitution. We are supposed to be a nation of LAW not at the whim of a majority vote which could elect a dictator who would ignore the Republic and LAW of the Land. The Legislative branch of our Government is charged by  the Constitution to legislate (make) laws in harmony with the Constitutional constraints.  The Executive branch (President) is charged with enforcing the Constitution, THE LAW OF OUR LAND.  He has no right to make law and only to enforce Law as the Constitution prescribes.   When there is a disagreement between parties or individuals as to what is Constitutionally right or wrong, the third branch of our Government, the the Judicial (court system) filters out the lesser issues and the really big issues wind up at the Supreme Court to decide.  All of this is outlined and ordered in our U.S. Constitution.  The fact is, that often times the  Legislative branch makes unconstitutional laws, the Executive branch sometimes enforces those illegal laws and ignores the Constitutional ones and even "makes" laws in violation of his powers under the Constitution.  Also, the Judicial branch often judges and decrees unconstitutional decisions and often, itself, makes laws which it has no authority to do ... in our Constitution. FREE STUFF
From: bbrown@cofo.edu To: Papahoss3

The folks who are getting the free stuff don't like the folks who are paying for the free stuff,

because the folks who are paying for the free stuff can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.

And, the folks who are paying for the free stuff want the free stuff to stop.

And the folks who are getting the free stuff want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!

Now... the people who are forcing the people who pay for the free stuff have told the people who are RECEIVING the free stuff that the people who are PAYING for the free stuff are being mean, prejudiced, and racist.

So... the people who are GETTING the free stuff have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the free stuff by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free stuff

and giving them the free stuff in the first place.

We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are now more people getting free stuff than paying for the free stuff.

Now understand this. All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded. The reason?

The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing

people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.

The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 231 years ago. The number of people now getting free stuff outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff. We have one chance to change that in 2012. Failure to change that spells the end of the United States as we know it.

Gaffes, Goofs, Gall and My Muslim Faith

Common Sense Commentary: "But the tongue can no man tame...."James 3:8
B.O. -"We're not trying to push financial reform because we begrudge success that's fairly earned. I mean, I do think at a certain point you've made enough money. But, you know, part of the American way is, you know, you can just keep on making it if you're providing a good product or providing good service. We don't want people to stop, ah, fulfilling the core responsibilities of the financial system to help grow our economy." - on Wall Street reform, Quincy, Ill., April 29, 2010 [Editor: Huh?]
R.B. - And, exactly how much is enough Mr Multi-millionaire who spends every body's money but your own and will retire after four years with a lifetime  indulgent salary and  sumptuous benefits worth many millions more of taxpayer's money. Notice he said "at a certain point you've made enough money"  not we've , you've!  Everything after that is down hill, trying to cover, bury deep, under shovels full of words that, dyed in the wool, Socialistic Ideology ... Take from the producers and Support the sluggards ...who have more votes. It is burned with a branding iron on the soul of every Socialist who ever worshiped at the shrine of "Share every body's wealth, forcefully, but their own". Note the sumptuous lifestyles of the Axis dictators in WW.II (all Socialists), and that of all the Socialistic  and Communistic (Socialism plus Atheism) tyrants which  have destroyed  all  their countries, as ours have destroyed America. Our well was full but their buckets were full of holes and the well is dry. And while I'm here, let me say that Wall Street needs a full blown housecleaning .... but Washington Bureaucracy and Government needs far more than a housecleaning.  Every crack and corner of our rotten government needs a total overhaul or else a revolution to restore our Constitution as Law, equally, for President and Peasant (ME). That was our forefather's and founder's God given plan.
 B.O.
"The Middle East is obviously an issue that has plagued the region for centuries." - Tampa, FL, January 28, 2010
R.B. - One statement of absolute truth though awkward. But tell us the rest of the story, Mr. President.  It's found in Genesis.  Abram (Abraham) and Sarai had no children. Sarai said, " Have one with my maid, Hagar". They named him Ishmael.  In her pride, Hagar despised Sarai. Then Sarai had a son, Isaac. Ishmael was the first of the ArabsIsaac was the first of the Jews.  God foretold Abraham that trouble and war would be between the two and between all the Arabs against each other and the rest of the world. "And (Ishmael) shall be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren." Gen.16:12.  "And I will give unto thee (Abraham), and to thy seed after thee ... the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; And I will be their God." Gen.17:8.  That is "the God of  Abraham, Isaac and Jacob" not Mohammad or his concept of God.  To hell, literally, with political correctness.  The truth is the truth.  Islam wasn't founded until about 600 years after Christ and 2500 years after Abraham. God says many times that He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

B.O. - "UPS and FedEx are doing just fine, right? It's the Post Office that's always having problems." - attempting to make the case for government-run healthcare, while simultaneously undercutting his own argument, Portsmouth, NH, August 11, 2009
R.B. - Again, absolute truth slipped off his untamed tongue to destroy his own case for Obamacare. "Let them be confounded ... let them be ...brought to confusion...." Psm.35:4.

B.O.. - "Come on! I just answered, like, eight questions." - exasperated by reporters after a news conference, March 4, 2008.
R.B. - As with "making money", Mr. President, do you "think at a certain point you've made enough words?"  Should those eight questions be trimmed back or maybe taxed into silence?

B.O. - "You're likable enough, Hillary." - during a Democratic debate, Manchester, NH, January 2007
R.B. - Hey, that "likable enough" stuff  goes two ways but the polls are all going one way... Down.

B.O. - "What I was suggesting -- you're absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith..." - in an interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos, who jumped in to correct Obama by saying "your Christian faith," which Obama quickly agreed to,  ---- September 2008
R.B. - Come on now, how many Christians do you know who would slip and say, "My Muslim faith"? In sixty years of ministry, I've never heard a Baptist slip and say, "My Muslim faith, My Catholic faith, My Methodist faith, My Charismatic faith.  Nor have I ever heard any of these slip and say, "My Baptist faith", much less, "MY MUSLIM FAITH".  Can you even imagine a Muslim slipping and saying to the Mullah, "My Christian faith"?????????  Maybe, as in the slips of the "untamed tongue" speaking truth in the above incidents, he was telling the truth again, in spite of himself.

B.O. - "In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died -- an entire town destroyed." -----  on a Kansas tornado that killed 12 people, May 2007
R.B. - That one throws me for the count. Nobody tells one that big. I need a different doctorate degree to explain that one.  Maybe the  teleprompter magnification was on max.
B.O. - at a campaign event in Beaverton, Oregon, May 2008.
R.B. - Spoken in all sincerity and truth ... but geography, historically and numerically too far off to be a slip of the tongue.  I think Harvard must  teach that because any third grade student in the U.S. knows how many states and stars are in our flag.  But the flag is another problem with many Liberals, isn't it. You say its not true.  Compare a "Tea Party" Rally with the "Occupy" Rally in New York. Conservative vs. Liberal.
Plain old folks like me with a thousand flags at the Tea Party Rally and Idiots with painted faces and nasty signs, stealing from each other and selling dope, at the other.

O.B. "On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes - and I see many of them in the audience here today - our sense of patriotism is particularly strong." ----- Memorial Day speech in Las Cruces, NM, May 26, 2008
R.B. - Now that is an honest to goodness slip of the tongue or a teleprompter typo.
