Common Sense Commentary:
The Prophet Isaiah prophecied 2620 years ago....
"Your iniquities have separated between you and
your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not
hear... None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in
vanity, and speak lies .... They have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know
peace. In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God,
speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of
falsehood.... Judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is
fallen in the street, and equity (uprightness) cannot enter." Isa.59:2,4,8,13,14. Are we there yet ?
"The good man is perished out of the
earth: and there is none upright among men...."
Micah 7:2. Are we there yet ?
"For the time will come when they will not
endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves
teachers, having itching ears; And
they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto
fables." 2 Tim.4:3-4.
Are we there yet ?
"This know also, that in the last days perilous
times shall come. For men shall be
lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient
to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce,
despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godli- ness, but
denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead
captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
Ever learning, and never able to come
to the knowledge of the truth." 2 Tim. 3:1-7. Are we there yet?
"There shall come in the
last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the
fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning
of the creation. 2 Pet.3:3-4. Are we there yet?
"And as (Jesus) sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto
him privately, saying, Tell us.... what shall
be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
And Jesus answered and said unto them,
Take heed that no man deceive you. For
many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours
of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to
pass.... For
nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall
be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
All these are the beginning of
sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up
to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my
name's sake. And then shall many be
offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
And many false prophets shall rise,
and shall deceive many. And because
iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold..... And this gospel of the kingdom shall
be preached in all the world for a witness
unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation,
spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place.... Then.... For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of
the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. Then if any man shall say unto you,
Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
For there shall arise false Christs,
and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if
it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Behold, I have told you .... Wherefore if they shall say unto you,
Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret
chambers; believe it not. For
as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so
shall also the coming of the Son of man be. And then
shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes
of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of
heaven with power and great glory. And
he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather
together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. When
ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors....
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass
away. But of that day and hour knoweth
no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Matt.24:3-36. There is NOW, an Abomination of Desolation standing in the Holy Place where the Holy Temple of God stood, before it was destroyed. There, upon the Temple Mount, the Dome Of The Rock, Now stands the Muslim Mosque Of Omar in it's place.... awaiting the AntiChrist. Are we there yet ? RB
