except for the truth as God knows it. The very moment a person willfully turns their back to God they turn their face to the lie and to corruption. All secular endeavors and most religious ones are flawed to the core and unredeemable. Only the eternal soul, breathed into the human body, by our Creator, is redeemable and is thus set apart from the corruption surrounding it. It has then become as an embedded light bulb on the ceiling of an otherwise cold and blindingly dark room. Darkness is nothing ... except the absence of light. And light is the sole purpose of a light bulb even as God's truth, His word, our Christian life, and Testimony ... our LIGHT is our purpose in this sin-darkened world. if we do not shine forth the revealing, vision, warmth, glory, and power of God, He may unscrew and replace us.
After our redemption, the only reason God leaves us in this corrupt and darkened world is to "Brighten the corner where we are" with His light.
