Pot Calling The Kettle "Black"

Common Sense Commentary: I must admit I'm not an admirer of either Bush Presidency for the simple reason that they were not good stewards of the taxpayers' hard earned money.  In the case of Bush younger, we must remember that the Muslim attack on 9/11 happened early on his watch and the American people expected him to do what he did. The polls proved it.   But besides that, unlike Reagan, he didn't take a firm enough stand against Liberal spending, by both sides of the aisle.  I would take almost anyone, except Obama, including  West or Hill (both black Conservatives), in preference to a Nixon, Carter, or good ole friendly Bill Clinton.

My point today is ... the double standard and hypocrisy of Politicians condemning others of serious violations and malfeasance which they themselves then turn around and do twice as much of the same infraction.

During the 2008 Presidential campaign, Mr. Obama was extremely critical of  practically all of President Bush's policies which he turned around and repeated, except ... even worse.  He promised to end war but increased war.  He promised an open, transparent government but has cloaked it in secrecy.  He promised to balance the budget but has spent, in three years,  more than Bush did in eight years.  Here is an example:

In a Campaign speech, Candidate Obama said....
"The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up the national debt from 5 trillion for the first 42 presidents — number 43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic."

So, a "responsible, patriotic" Obama (President number 44), in his first year, wouldn't even wear a stars and stripes lapel pin or put his hand over his heart as our flag passed by and even more contradictory, has already outspent his predecessor's eight years in his first three years.

CBS News reported recently:
"The latest posting by the Treasury Department shows the national debt has now increased $4 trillion on President Obama’s watch. The debt was $10.626 trillion on the day Mr. Obama took office. The latest calculation from Treasury shows the debt has now hit $14.639 trillion.
It’s the most rapid increase in the debt under any U.S. president."
"The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart...." Psm.55:21.

Pass it on. RB
