Common Sense Commentary: How tragically, predictably, appropriate for the prophetic Last Days falling away from God and His word.
"Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter ... as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition (Antichrist); Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God." 2 Thess.2:1-4.
So here is a nation named Iceland, one of the coldest places on earth, descendants of the marauding Vikings, with a cold, dead, pseudo-Christian State church which every baby is born a member of, which taxes all its Citizens to support State approved "religious institutions", and practically nobody believes God created the earth .... So thousands of them are embracing the Sumerian gods of the Zuist religion. Plus .... its Socialist government was 8 or 10 years ahead of the rest of the world with its 2008 economy collapsing and the government refusing to pay their Socialist Utopia State debts. Again, how predictably appropriate but, an omen of things to come for the rest of the world.
