Border Wall prototypes. Is A Wall Necessary?

Everything of importance has walls ...

Every home has walls. Every place of business has walls. Every bank, school, retirement home and church has walls. Likewise, the Temple of God, upon the Temple Mount in Jerusalem Judea, had massive walls surrounding the Temple grounds and that place of worship where God, Himself, dwelt among His people. The Jews still worship at that great wall known as the Western Wall and The Wailing Wall. They don't worship the Wall but the God, Jehovah, who once dwelt in the Temple within the wall's enclosure. Why did God specify the building of that great wall around where He dwelt?

Even more mysterious and marvelous is the fact that Heaven itself, the primary habitat of God, where Jesus is "preparing a place for us" and which also has walls and gates, but, unlike Earth, is safe even without walls.
Don't ask me why the Holy City, New Jerusalem, in Heaven, has walls, as did its type, on the Temple Mount, in Judea.

"Be it known unto the king, that we went into the province of Judea, to the house of the great God, which is builded with great stones, and timber is laid in the walls, and this work goeth fast on, and prospereth in their hands." Ezra 5:8

Jerusalem was just a small preview, a shadow of the Heavenly holy city it typified. It was a small, earthly icon of a heavenly reality, The New Jerusalem which will one day descent from God in Heaven, and which Jesus is now preparing for His bride, His born-again believers. He promised it to us when He walked among us....
"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." John 14:2.

Jesus showed that holy city to John in The Revelation and previewed the finished work, to him, descending from Heaven to earth at the beginning of His thousand-year millennial reign....

"And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates .... " Rev. 12:10-12.

All of that to say that "walls",  here on earth, and gates for passage, although far less important or impressive, are not only permitted and acceptable, by God, but, considering the present dangers to we Americans, are absolutely necessary.
