When someone is dying ... is a time to pray for them ... not vent your disagreements with them. The best thing John McCain ever did was serve his country in a time of war... and he paid a heavy price for it in a Vietnamese prison. But that 3 years of great suffering also bought him the high honor of being elected a U.S. senator for the rest of his life. So, how well he did that job is what will mark his place in history more than his time as a prisoner of war. There are no "moral" or "achievment" requirements to be a prisoner of war. There have been prisoners of war who were evil and upright, cowards and heroes, traitors and patriots.
While I will not speak evil of the dying, I will pray for his painless passing and his family's comfort at their loss, and leave his final judgement up to God and his efficacy as a U.S. senator up to the American people.
