Aretha Franklin's funeral was an open demonstration of the Democrat wedge of race baiting contradictions among black Americans saddled on them by white Liberals. Republican leaders weren't invited but Louis Farrakhan was. What happened there recently, in Detroit, a city ruined by an ingrained, local, Democrat government, was almost unavoidable. It had all the elements of a gold mine full of explosive gas with a nightwatchman striking a match to light a joint and find his bottle. A royal battle among family and friends followed the funeral.
Many black, and white, Democrats, today, think President Abraham Lincoln was also a Democrat and the Confederate south was inhabited by hateful, Ku Klux Klan, Republicans, when the opposite is true. Somehow, it had to be the Democrats who set them free. ... but History shows it was Republicans. Those are small examples of another, more mammoth contradiction among blacks. Blacks switched their allegiance from Republican to the Democrat party in the 1960's under the illusion Democrat politicians would benefit them most. Like a wealthy father trying to buy his son's love and co-operation by giving him an allowance of a thousand dollars a week. Will that help or hurt the character and attitude of the son? The son thinks it will help him. But wisdom knows it won't. It will motorize his flaws.
Since blacks switched, more than half a century ago, it has been proven a ruinous misconception. Truth is, you cannot buy friends or wisdom or love; but you can buy votes and the Democrats bought the votes of a great majority of blacks. Thank God for the good character and honesty of blacks and whites who see the Democrat Party for what it is ... vastly deceptive and manipulative of both blacks and whites to increase their number and gain power for the cause of Socialism.
Here you have a sweet and talented little black girl, Aretha, raised in a Baptist Church, pastored by her father, who was also a leader in the civil rights movement. I, as a pastor, cannot fault him for that. If the rolls had been reversed, and I were in his place, and we whites were suffering unjust and unequal treatment, I too would have been fighting for equal rights, as he was. So the Franklins were living in a very prosperous and safe Detroit neighborhood ... back then. Now it is the most undesirable neighborhood of the most undesirable city in America ... What happened? A beautiful little flower of a girl was arising, back then, in a Christian garden where now is a cracked and broken sidewalk covered with garbage in a ghetto plagued by drunks and drug pushers, made that way by Democrat Politicians' policies of greed. That was not the goal of pastor Franklin. But still the black population of Detroit votes for the same vile breed of culprits who ruined their city. From whence cometh such obsession? That contradiction is a city sized microcosm of a national problem among most blacks, put there by white, Socialist, Leftists. If you think my summary of the problem is patronizing ... tough. It is simply the truth, and it is "the truth that will make you free" and solve these problems (Jesus said it, John 8:32). Denying the truth and hiding the truth, to pacify the naysayers, got us into this mess and facing the truth is the only thing that will get us out of it. I no longer care what the majority or minority think of me ... if I can strike a spark of light in the darkness.
Why do U.S. prisons and jails have more blacks than whites incarcerated (487,000 to 470,000) when blacks are only 12% of the U.S. population? And why are blacks, percentage-wise, killing off blacks at a rate far greater than black on white or white on white murder? The root cause is not because of black genes or their DNA, or their black skin, it is plainly the Left-wing, political policies initiated and passed by the white Leftist Socialists, of the Democrat Party, that began under President Lyndon Johnson, in the 1960's, to win their votes. The ruse worked but the outcome has proven to be a mammoth failure. Can anyone think that blacks, in general, are better off today than they would have been, today, without the hundreds of billions of dollars spent over the last 54 years to raise their standard of living? No! The good improvement is due to a change in erroneous white attitudes toward blacks. The other is just another contradiction making up the wedge of contradictions that has literally torn black families apart. You can't expect the average citizen, black or white, to comprehend what has happened, as well as the Politicians who devised those ruinous policies or maintain them. Politicians who were and are surrounded by power, prejudice, wealth, and high tech resources, with a large, highly educated staff, and a friendly News Media are responsible. They have the expertise and resources to frame good sounding pie in the sky legislation that, in the end, has devastating, eventual consequences, and they use it constantly. So the wedge of contradictions among blacks is more the fault of white Socialist Left Wingers and their "joined at the hip" news media than of black people. Black people are as capable as white people if not hamstrung by Left-wing, white Democrats. We must re balance
the scales of justice and self-reliance in this country and Democrats will not help get that done but will continue to fight it til Jesus comes.
Democrats have ruled Detroit for the last 56 years, and Chicago for the last 150 years, two examples of the dismal failure of Democrat rule. Consider also the dismal deterioration of Los Angeles and San Francisco since Democrats have been in political control of them.

Detroit's downward spiral has been legendary. Once the fourth largest city in the nation, and home to its largest industry, Detroit's population has been cut in half, from 1.5 million in 1970, to less than 700,000 in 2012. Median household income is $27,862 compared to the state median of $48,669. The poverty level is 36.2 percent compared to a statewide level of 15.7. The murder rate is 11 times that of New York City, and the unemployment rate is above 18 percent, more than double the national average. Detroit Public Schools (DPS) have been under emergency management since 2008. In late February, the state review board revealed that the city faces a short-term cash $327 million budget deficit and an estimated $14 billion in long-term debt, primarily driven by unfunded pension and retirement health care obligations.
How will this end? How can it be stopped? How can we bring peace to our streets again? How can we fix it?
It's a lot like a broken radio a little, elderly, Georgia lady once sent me in the mail. She had heard me say, on her radio, in a sermon, that "Anything that can be built can be fixed". Well, she could no longer listen to my radio messages because her radio wouldn't work, so she sent it to me ... quoting my comment that "Anything can be fixed", and asked me to "fix it". I opened it up and saw a fragile, ancient, irredeemable piece of junk. There was no way anyone in our town could fix that radio. Yes, it could have been fixed by it's maker with brand new guts in the old shell, but that would have cost far more than buying her a new one. So I sent my apology ... with the new radio.
So yes, our maker can fix the problem by removing the wedge and inserting new, internal parts, but some radios can't be converted so He sometimes concentrates on those who can be, and lets the irredeemable ones crash under the weight of their own stubborn rebellion, faults and failures. Things like enslaving others, abusing others, hating others, and refusing to be saved. America allowed kidnapping Africans, enslaving them, abusing them, and many Christians went along with it. That is the biggest mistake and sin a nation ever committed .... before Nazism, Communism, and abortion came up out of hell. So why should our maker fix the racial problem? My judgment is... this radio can't be fixed ... by us. It will all have to crash in ruin and then, maybe our maker will send us a new one or maybe just come and get us and leave all the irredeemable, broken things here.... in a world full of corruption .... if they can't be fixed either. God knows.
