What We Relate To And Defend ... Is What We Ourselves Are

Crisis exposes our true colors ...

Since the beginning of time, people have sympathized with and defended the things they relate to and speak up for, and attack the opposition viewpoint.  Whether we do so publicly or secretly, we join our opinions and allegiance with others of like mind. Those of a criminal nature, whether they show it or not, relate to criminals. Potential murderers often collect articles and photos of murderers and  the scene of their crimes.  Athletic fans follow their favorite players and movie star worshipers their idols.  Often, even Christians are far too enamored with a preacher or singer. I don't think a Christian can be too obsessed with the Creator of the Universe or of our Lord and Savior. You can be too obsessed with religion, a church building, a theory, or another Christian, but not God, if you truly believe on Him. in all His Glory.

It is my experience that the average Republican may be obsessed with the flag, the Constitution, the 2nd Amendment, history, a denomination, or anti-Communism, but they are not obsessed with racism, sexism, or envy of the more successful. On the other hand, the average Democrat is fixated on the later. The Democrat Mayor of Seattle relates to the leftist rabble who invaded, occupied and now claim a section of the city they are defending with rifles, as their own separate nation.  They say they believe in Democracy but did not ask the property owners to vote on the takeover.  They don't like the 2nd Amendment but defend the conquered territory with A R -15's. They say they stand for "Black Lives Matter", but they are mostly white , pampered, Liberals and the official "Black Lives Matter" crowd disavows them.

If you really believe in something, stand up for it with courage and commitment, not like hundreds of politicians and CEO's who claim to be all in for patriotism, love of America, Free enterprise, and Private Property Rights. ... But they express support for these criminals our of fear for loss of voters or product sales. The Mayor of Seattle calls these adult children, who are taking over her city, "Patriots".  Could there be a greater contradiction?

Its easy to claim, with words, what you are for and against, but if you support the opposite you a liar and actually only relate to which way the wind blows, and with whom the  greater sales lie, and where the money and power are. There are words for such spineless, treacherous,  hypocrites, but I don't use that kind of language.  But "damned" and "hell" are biblical not cursing. RB
