Equal Opportunity Salvation

Common Sense Commentary: In Psm.98, the Psalmist David wrote, "O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things ....The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.  He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.   Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth....  Sing unto the LORD with the harp....and the voice of a psalm. With trumpets and sound of cornet....   Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness.... and the people with equity.  "Equity" means "Right" judgement with "equality".

"The Prophet Ezekiel recorded the words of God concerning "Rightness and Equality" in Ezek.18:25-30:  "Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal? When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive..... Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?  Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin."

Our God offers "Equal opportunity Salvation" which is equal opportunity to have our sins forgiven, equal opportunity to love God with all of our heart, equal opportunity to live by faith and die in hope, equal opportunity to awaken in heaven... for eternity.

Nothing else on earth is equal. A lot of things look, sound, or smell alike but no two things on earth are exactly alike and no two things are exactly equal. A blizzard of a quadrillion snow flakes look alike, but each, under a microscope, is different. Even as infinite "numbers" are each as unique and unequal as snow flakes, or grains of sand, so every person is unique and unequal .... except in one thing.  We are equally loved of God, equally died for by Jesus, and will be equally and fairly judged by a single standard..... Jesus.  Don't look at the extreme differences in people, their unequal appearance, talents, homes, cars, jobs, possessions or children and say, "God is prejudiced or unfair or unequal, as Israel did.  It is not God who is prejudice, unfair, and unequal, but us. There is only one eternal difference in people, just one consideration, one standard of judgement .... do you, or have you accepted Jesus Christ, God's remedy for sin, as your own personal Saviour ... or not ? That is the only thing which will determine your eternal destiny and it is equal opportunity salvation.... even if it does not appear to be so from a human viewpoint.  Read those verses above ,from Psalms, again.  Jesus, Himself said, "For God so loved the world (everybody) that whosoever (anybody) believeth on him should not perish but have everlasting life."
