New Morality: Exposing Lying Politicians Worse Than Lying

Common Sense Commentary: There was a time when all the News Media would pounce on lying politicians, rake them over the coals and continue to do so until the politician resigned or apologized.  Then the News Media Morality slipped a notch and the lying politician had to also beat his wife and kids, while lying, before he was taken to task. But the News Media Morality slipped another notch and they decided they would only expose the lies, exaggerations and suspected little fibs of Conservative Politicians. Then their sense of Morality took an even bigger fall and they added defending their Liberal Political friends while scalding the Conservative ones if they even made a slip of the tongue. The final News Media slide was all the way down the mountain and into the mucky swamp of Glorifying the Political liars and ridiculing anyone who even mentioned the Media Hero's  lies ... no matter how blatant, constant and obvious to all sides of the political spectrum. The following Reuters headline is intended to cause shock and recoil at Palin's charge when, in fact, what she says is true and everyone knows it, but most will pretend it's not. Reuters and all the rest of the Major Media should, themselves, be making the charge. RB  "And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter." “Barack Obama promised the most transparent administration ever. Barack Obama, you lie,” the former Alaska governor said in an address to the Conservative Political Action Conference near Washington.

She was echoing a line from a Republican member of the House of Representatives who shouted at Obama during a speech to Congress in 2009 and accused him of lying about healthcare for illegal immigrants.
Palin’s line drew a big round of applause from the audience, made up of Republican lawmakers and conservative activists.
She took aim at Obama’s plans to push gun control legislation through Congress, including background checks for gun buyers.
“More background checks? Dandy idea, Mr. President. Should have started with yours,” she said in a speech peppered with one-liners and folksy language.
Palin called on Republicans to stick to conservative principles as they learn lessons from Obama’s 2012 election victory over Mitt Romney.
“We’re not here to put a fresh coat of rhetorical paint on our party. We’re not here to abandon our principles in a contest of government giveaways. That’s a game we will never, ever win. We’re here to restore America,” she said.
