What Is The Scriptural Meaning Of Dreams?

Common Sense Commentary: Strange indeed, how easily inept and gullible people are swayed by other inept, gullible people and by religious deceivers and sociopaths as well.

Biblical evidence of the meaning of dreams seems to be somewhat like the gift of speaking unlearned languages or "tongues", which began at the Feast of Pentecost, with the giving of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2, and ceasing soon after."...whether there be tongues, they shall cease." 1 Cor.13:8. The entirety of Paul's 1 Corinthians epistle was a rebuke of the Corinthian Christians for their abuse, misuse and misinterpretation of the doctrines of Christ. The Apostle wrote extensively on their misuse of the Pentecost gift of speaking in unlearned languages (tongues) from 1 Cor.12:10 through 1 Cor.14:23. That gift of "unlearned tongues" is never mentioned again, in the Bible, after Paul's rebuke in 1 Cor. Jesus had earlier given His church the Great Commission command to preach/teach the gospel to the entire world, before He empowered them to do so in Acts 2. When he gave them the Holy Spirit, they still did not have the canonized (compiled, complete and authorized) New Testament  in Greek, Hebrew or any other language. They were "living" it at that time. They could neither witness, read nor quote Scripture in the foreign languages of the multitude of foreign Jews who had come to Jerusalem to observe the Old Testament Feast Of Pentecost. That is why God gave them the ability to witness and preach Jesus to those foreign Jews in their own language; who then carried the gospel message back to their countries of residence.

In the case of "dreams", they too appear to be transitory in their use by God to communicate His will or instruction to people. In the Old Testament dispensation, which extended from Genesis unto the crucifixion/resurrection of Jesus, dreams were used by God to influence or inform both believers and unbelievers and are mentioned over 100 times in the O.T. The last six, of those, in the O.T. dispensation, are recorded in Matthew when an angel spoke to Joseph three times through dreams. First, concerning the birth of Jesus and then about the threat on His life. Since that was 33 years before Jesus' crucifixion, it was still in the O.T. dispensation under the old covenant (Matt.1&2). The fifth mention of a God given dream, in the N.T., but still in the O.T. dispensation, was when gov. Pilate's non-Christian wife spoke to him, concerning Jesus, "When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him." Matt.27:19. 

Throughout the Old Testament dispensation, prophecy and information were, from time to time, given in dreams. So God did give certain dreams, but Satan also gave false dreams and some liars made up dreams. The seriousness of this sin is emphasized in the O.T. where we are told that false dreamers, who told false dreams or heresy, to influence people, were executed ...."If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder .... saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known ....Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart .... And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God ...."  Deut.13:1-5. God sometimes allows such contradictory events by heretics to put believers to the test. In other words, "Are you going to believe God's revealed word and will or let yourself be misled by the devil's devious but convincing telling of a dream contradicting God's clear word?"

God's prophet, Jeremiah, revealed another kind of dream. Dreams which your own body or mind or upset stomach give you. "For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed ...." Jer.29:8-9.

Dreams, however, are mentioned just twice in the New Testament dispensation, beginning with the crucifixion/resurrection of Jesus through the book of The Revelation. One time as a fulfillment of the O.T. prophesy in Joel 3:28 and quoted in Acts 2:17 during the O.T. Feast Of Pentecost, as a prophecy of a "last days" phenomenon given to "old men" only."And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy (speak forth), and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams." Acts 2:17. Of course God can cause anyone to be blessed or horrified by a dream to accomplish His own holy purposes.

 The second, and last mention, in the N.T. dispensation is not of "dreams" but of "filthy dreamers" and is a condemnation of them. "Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities." Jude 1:8. I have personally witnessed this being done by a young, religious person, as if it were a gift from God, telling a dream predicting a horrible fate upon someone of more "dignity" than himself, by means of his dream. Also, claiming his dreams were a revelations from God.

This evil sin, of using dreams to predict the future or influence other ignorant people, through the telling or lying about dreams, is becoming more and more common among several sects and false religions. It is heresy. RB

1.  Don't marry her! She is just your baby's Momma.
2.  Always use your own mom's address to get your mail.
3. The guy buys a house.
4. The guy rents out house to his baby's Momma with his two kids.
5. Section 8 will pay $900 a month for a 3 bedroom home.
6. His baby's Momma signs up for Obamacare, so guy doesn't have to pay for family insurance.
7. His baby's Momma gets to go to college for free for being a single mother.
8. His baby's Momma gets $600 a month in food stamps or card.
9. His baby's Momma gets two free cell phones.... his and hers.
10. His baby's Momma gets free utilities.
11. He moves in with his baby's Momma, but continues to use his mom's address for his mail.
12. His baby's Momma claims one kid and guy claims the other kid on their separate tax forms. Now both get to claim head of household an $1800 credit.
13. His baby's Momma also gets $1800 a month disability for being "crazy" or having a "bad back" or too "overweight" to work and never has to work again.

This plan is perfectly legal and is being executed now by millions of people.

A married couple with a stay-at-home mom yields $0 dollars.
An unmarried couple with stay-at-home mom nets $21,600 disability + $10,800 free housing + $6,000 free Obamacare + $6,000 free food + $4,800 free utilities + $6,000 Pell grant money to spend + $12,000 a year in college tuition free from Pell grant + $8,800 tax benefit for being a single mother = $75,000 a year in benefits!

No Ship Can Carry 10,000 Of Those Huge Shipping Containers

Common Sense Commentary: Someone asked me, concerning my last blog, if my assessment of the U.S. economy and debt weren't an exaggeration like my statement about a container ship carrying 10,000 shipping containers. In case you are interested, France has now built a ship which can carry nearly 18,000 of them. Though these particular shipping containers are 20X8X8 feet, they also come in 40X8X8. You see these shipping containers on flat-bed train cars and being pulled down our highways on trucks. The 40 foot ones are about the size of a 16 wheeler trailer. A revealing fact is why these shipping companies would start building these huge ships when world imports and exports are falling rapidly. The one described above only made two trips across the Pacific to California before the company ceased to make that trip for lack of demand. You would think the shipping executives would have seen this coming ... Even I did. These same types of visionless, thoughtless elitists are running the world.... into the ground.

CMA CGM’s Benjamin Franklin was the largest container ship to call at a U.S. port when it stopped in Ls Angeles in December. But a weak market quickly led the shipping line to stop running such large ships across the Pacific. The Benjamin Franklin can carry nearly 18,000 twenty-foot shipping containers, or TEUs, marking a capacity record when it docked at the Port of Los Angeles late last year. (See picture of this ship and read entire article at this link)

Common Sense Commentary: If Hillary wins, she will have won what she and her fellow Socialist Democrats have created .... not a can, bucket or barrel of worms, but a ship load. Yes, she will get to appoint 3 or 4 liberal supreme court Justices, and carry her superiority for a time ... but that is the only victory the Socialists will get. Everything else on this ship load of unsolvable problems, crisis, rotting cargo, non-paying passengers, and over worked deck hands, will be sinking. Hilary will have to declare Marshall Law, a Dictatorship, or her entire government will have to resign. That probably means short britches Socialist Bernie Sanders will double down on his losing hand, in the ship's casino, and speed up the sinking. By that time no other Democrat will want the job of trying to save what they have scuttled. They may even hold their first Socialist prayer meeting in the Oval Office asking God to please give the football to Trump or Cruz. If either of them is dumb enough or patriotic enough to take charge of a sinking ship without lifeboats, he will have to run her aground and spend a lifetime refurbishing the USS America.

On the other hand, if Trump wins and takes the helm of this overloaded sinking ship of state, full of worms, which he had little or nothing to do with creating... but must save the ship .... he will need to employ all the longshoremen in North America to deep six dump all those 10,000 Mobile Modular Containers of worms off the main deck. Then raise and off-load below decks cargo holds of  $19 Trillion tons of more dead worms. After that Trump will have to pump the rusty old ship full of hot air to keep her afloat. Then every cubic inch of the ship must be steam cleaned and fumigated of all the Liberal Socialist accumulation of crud
 .... entitlements, fiscal corruption, false hope and evil change ... before any real restoration is possible. All of this while trying to deal with an unfriendly Congress, a Leftest Supreme Court, an angry populace and no money. So either way, whoever is elected to solve our national dilemma .... and save the ship ... but can't, will inherit all the blame and go down in history as the worst President ever .... even worse than Obama, who put a golden capstone on the mess. But he will be comfortably retired in Hawaii, or Mecca or his native land ... wherever that may be.... Or he may have been elevated to head the United Nations to give the world some of his hope and change. I know that headline showing $13.9 trillion of borrowed money debt has a tithe of truth in it, but the other 90 % Time didn't mention is another $150 Trillion in unfunded liabilities like Social Security etc. That means each of us will have to come of with 10 times more ($420,000) than TIME bothers to mention. You know it is true, if you have bothered to read my blogs and many other Conservative sources. But the Rip Van Winkle Time Magazine seems just to have awakened to the dire straights of our sinking ship and is now screaming in bold print ... "Our ship is sinking" ... but far too late. Where were Time and all the other Liberal magazines, radio and TV news networks when this debt was accumulating over the last years? Where was their "Freedom of the Press" when they could have warned the politicians to balance our national budget? They blindly refused to see, hear or even whisper the truth of where Liberal Politicians and Presidents were sailing our Titanic Ship Of State into an ocean of icebergs, at the midnight hour .... full speed ahead into the dark.

This presumptuous, know it all dereliction of duty of NewsMedia and Politicians reminds me of the radio operator on duty in the radio shake of the Titanic on that freezing night of April 15, 1912. He was busily writing a letter when his radio suddenly crackled alive with an urgent message, from another ship, in Morse Code .... dit da dit dit, da da da, da da da, da dit da ...... da da da, dit dit da, da ..... "LOOK OUT FOR ICEBERGS, LOOK OUT FOR ICEBERGS, LOOK OUT FOR ICEBERGS" . The crazy "alarmist", on the other ship just kept on blasting out the message until finally the radio operator on the Titanic clicked on his key and said ... "Don't bother me I'm busy".  A short time later he was clicking out another message ...

dit dit dit, da da da, dit dit dit ... SOS SOS SOS SOS SOS ... SAVE OUR SOULS, SAVE OUR SOULS ... And he didn't stop until the ship broke in half and sunk with few life boats and few survivors. Why weren't they prepared for such a tragedy ... with sufficient life boats and sufficient caution in the North Atlantic at full speed, in the dark?  Don't you know why? Because it had been declared "The unsinkable ship" ... by experts and leaders ... and they had a speed crossing record to make.

It is recorded in the Encyclopedia Titanica that after the experts had made their public declaration that the Titanic was unsinkable, one of the boarding passengers had this exchange with a crew member ...
In Southampton, Sylvia Caldwell asked a porter if the ship was really unsinkable. He said something like "Yes mum, God Himself could not sink this ship." Sylvia survived... The porter did not.

Common Sense Commentary: A most common oddity, since the beginning of time, is the strangeness of two people of equal intelligence having opposite opinions on the same critical question. In some cases it could be because of their different backgrounds. But on moral and spiritual questions, I think it is usually because of the opposite poles of the "Children of Light" and the "Children of Darkness"(1Thess.5:5). But here is a Jewish Rabbi who sees clearly the deeper spiritual significance of a national issue, whereas many who "profess" themselves to be Christians, do not. Is he a closet Christian ... and they closet unbelievers?  How is it that a vast majority of professing black Christians voted for Obama ... twice, and now a possible majority of professing white Christians are voting for Donald Trump? Is Hillary going to win after all... by promising "Free Stuff" to the majority? Or will Trump out promise her in the general election?  We shall soon see. Actually, in my opinion, I think Trump will win the presidency because of his outrageous actions and accusations. U.S. conservatives are so frustrated with the inaction and compromises of Republican Congressmen , and so angry at what they have let happen to our country that they prefer a "bull in the china closet" to a more rational, experienced true conservative like Cruz. I think we will even see a lot of Democrats turning to Trump to avoid Hillary who has absolutely nothing appealing about her except she is a woman. And Trump seems a compromise between morality and immorality which is where most Democrats reside. RB

Please take a moment to digest this provocative article by a Jewish Rabbi from Teaneck , N.J. It is the most succinct and thoughtful explanation of how our nation is changing. The article appeared in The Israel National News, and is directed to Jewish readership. 70% of American Jews vote as Democrats. The Rabbi has some interesting comments in that regard. Keep in mind it relates to the last election not this one.

"The most charitable way of explaining the election results of 2012 is that Americans voted for the status quo - for the incumbent President and for a divided Congress. They must enjoy gridlock, partisanship, incompetence, economic stagnation and avoidance of responsibility. And fewer people voted.

But as we awake from the nightmare, it is important to eschew the facile explanations for the Romney defeat that will prevail among the chattering classes. Romney did not lose because of the effects of Hurricane Sandy that devastated this area, nor did he lose because he ran a poor campaign, nor did he lose because the Republicans could have chosen better candidates, nor did he lose because Obama benefited from a slight uptick in the economy due to the business cycle.

Romney lost because he didn't get enough votes to win.

That might seem obvious, but not for the obvious reasons. Romney lost because the conservative virtues - the traditional American virtues – of liberty, hard work, free enterprise, private initiative and aspirations to moral greatness - no longer inspire or animate a majority of the electorate.

The simplest reason why Romney lost was because it is impossible to compete against free stuff.

Every businessman knows this; that is why the "loss leader" or the giveaway is such a powerful marketing tool. Obama's America is one in which free stuff is given away: the adults among the 47,000,000 on food stamps clearly recognized for whom they should vote, and so they did, by the tens of millions; those who - courtesy of Obama - receive two full years of unemployment benefits (which, of course, both disincentives looking for work and also motivates people to work off the books while collecting their windfall) surely know for whom to vote. The lure of free stuff is irresistible.

The defining moment of the whole campaign was the revelation of the secretly-recorded video in which Romney acknowledged the difficulty of winning an election in which "47% of the people" start off against him because they pay no taxes and just receive money - "free stuff" - from the government.

Almost half of the population has no skin in the game - they don't care about high taxes, promoting business, or creating jobs, nor do they care that the money for their free stuff is being borrowed from their children and from the Chinese.

They just want the free stuff that comes their way at someone else's expense. In the end, that 47% leaves very little margin for error for any Republican, and does not bode well for the future.

It is impossible to imagine a conservative candidate winning against such overwhelming odds. People do vote their pocketbooks. In essence, the people vote for a Congress who will not raise their taxes, and for a President who will give them free stuff, never mind who has to pay for it.

That engenders the second reason why Romney lost: the inescapable conclusion that the electorate is ignorant and uninformed. Indeed, it does not pay to be an informed voter, because most other voters - the clear majority – are unintelligent and easily swayed by emotion and raw populism. That is the indelicate way of saying that too many people vote with their hearts and not their heads. That is why Obama did not have to produce a second term agenda, or even defend his first-term record. He needed only to portray Mitt Romney as a rapacious capitalist who throws elderly women over a cliff, when he is not just snatching away their cancer medication, while starving the poor and cutting taxes for the rich.

During his 1956 presidential campaign, a woman called out to Adlai Stevenson: "Senator, you have the vote of every thinking person!" Stevenson called back: "That's not enough, madam, we need a majority!"  Truer words were never spoken.

Obama could get away with saying that "Romney wants the rich to play by a different set of rules" - without ever defining what those different rules were; with saying that the "rich should pay their fair share" - without ever defining what a "fair share" is; with saying that Romney wants the poor, elderly and sick to "fend for themselves" - without even acknowledging that all these government programs are going bankrupt, their current insolvency only papered over by deficit spending.

Similarly, Obama (or his surrogates) could hint to blacks that a Romney victory would lead them back into chains and proclaim to women that their abortions and birth control would be taken away. He could appeal to Hispanics that Romney would have them all arrested and shipped to Mexico and unabashedly state that he will not enforce the current immigration laws. He could espouse the furtherance of the incestuous relationship between governments and unions - in which politicians ply the unions with public money, in exchange for which the unions provide the politicians with votes, in exchange for which the politicians provide more money and the unions provide more votes, etc., even though the money is gone.

Obama also knows that the electorate has changed - that whites will soon be a minority in America (they're already a minority in California) and that the new immigrants to the US are primarily from the Third World and do not share the traditional American values that attracted immigrants in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is a different world, and a different America . Obama is part of that different America , knows it, and knows how to tap into it. That is why he won.

Obama also proved again that negative advertising works, invective sells, and harsh personal attacks succeed. That Romney never engaged in such diatribes points to his essential goodness as a person; his "negative ads" were simple facts, never personal abuse - facts about high unemployment, lower take-home pay, a loss of American power and prestige abroad, a lack of leadership, etc. As a politician, though, Romney failed because he did not embrace the devil's bargain of making unsustainable promises.

It turned out that it was not possible for Romney and Ryan - people of substance, depth and ideas - to compete with the shallow populism and platitudes of their opponents. Obama mastered the politics of envy – of class warfare - never reaching out to Americans as such but to individual groups, and cobbling together a winning majority from these minority groups. If an Obama could not be defeated - with his record and his vision of America , in which free stuff seduces voters - it is hard to envision any change in the future.

The road to Hillary Clinton in 2016 and to a European-socialist economy - those very economies that are collapsing today in Europe - is paved.

For Jews, mostly assimilated anyway and staunch Democrats, the results demonstrate again that liberalism is their Torah. Almost 70% voted for a president widely perceived by Israelis and most committed Jews as hostile to Israel . They voted to secure Obama's future at America 's expense and at Israel 's expense - in effect, preferring Obama to Netanyahu by a wide margin.

A dangerous time is ahead. Under present circumstances, it is inconceivable that the US will take any aggressive action against Iran and will more likely thwart any Israeli initiative. The US will preach the importance of negotiations up until the production of the first Iranian nuclear weapon - and then state that the world must learn to live with this new reality.

But this election should be a wake-up call to Jews. There is no permanent empire, nor is there an enduring haven for Jews anywhere in the exile. The American empire began to decline in 2007, and the deterioration has been exacerbated in the last five years. This election only hastens that decline.

Society is permeated with sloth, greed, envy and materialistic excess. It has lost its moorings and its moral foundations.. The takers outnumber the givers, and that will only increase in years to come.

The "Occupy" riots across this country in the last two years were mere dress rehearsals for what lies ahead - years of unrest sparked by the increasing discontent of the unsuccessful who want to seize the fruits and the bounty of the successful, and do not appreciate the slow pace of redistribution.

If this election proves one thing, it is that the Old America is gone. And, sad for the world, it is not coming back."

The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

Common Sense Commentary: It is one thing to tolerate, sympathize or even accept another person's image of themselves, whether it is accurate or not. It is also reasonable to appreciate the good qualities of an otherwise flawed individual. It is never proper or reasonable to celebrate error, false theories, or sin in anyone ... including ourselves. Celebrating homosexuality is exactly the same thing as celebrating a promiscuous heterosexual or an unfaithful husband or wife.
Civilized, moral parents, not to mention Christians, do not celebrate their daughter's sexual encounter with a boy she is infatuated with or their son's visit to the bed of a prostitute or the girl next door. If fornication  and adultery, with a person of the opposite sex, are still sin in God's eyes, or at least wrong in the minds of most Americans, then it is also sin between two people of the same sex.
Under no circumstances is it right or reasonable to celebrate any kind of sin.... especially using tax-payer's dollars to do so.  To build a "Monument" to sin is akin to building the Tower Of Babel, in opposition to God's will or building a "Monument" celebrating homosexuality, adultery or fornication in the City of Sodom. Although, God did establish a kind of "Monument to its Judgment" on a hill overlooking Sodom when he turned Lot's wife into a "pillar of salt" just for looking back wistfully to that wicked city.  The headline below is another example of "New York Values" and our Presidents "Chicago Values". Values it is not, but "Spiritual wickedness in high places". Those are not my words, but God's. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."  Eph.6:12.

A shaped stone laid over or erected near a grave and usually bearing an inscription to identify and preserve the memory of the deceased. Synonyms are gravestone, headstone and tombstone.

First Man In Space, John Glenn's Love For His Wife Annie

Common Sense Commentary: Here is a man whose mother, his God and America produced at the pinnacle of America's greatness. A time when many great men walked this land. It was called "The greatest generation". He was a real, masculine ... but gentle man, who accepted a challenge few men would have had the courage or ability to perform. John Glenn was a true hero, a roll model for any child and a man we all loved though we never knew him personally. But Annie knew him and loved him too. Though world renowned, he loved Annie and saw her, not her handicap. RB

   ONE OF THE SWEETEST LOVE STORIES

For half a century, the world has applauded John Glenn as a heart-stirring American hero.   He lifted the nation's spirits when, as one of the original Mercury 7 astronauts, he was blasted alone into orbit around the Earth; the enduring affection for him is so powerful that even now people find themselves misting up at the sight of his face or the sound of his voice.

But for all these years, Glenn has had a hero of his own, someone he has seen display endless courage of a different kind:  Annie Glenn.

They have been married for 71 years.

He is 94; she 96 

Recently America celebrated the 50th anniversary of Glenn's flight into orbit.  Half a century down the line, he remains America 's unforgettable hero.

He has never really bought that.

Because the heroism he most cherishes is of a sort that is seldom cheered.   It belongs to the person he has known longer than he has known anyone else in the world.

John Glenn and Annie Castor first knew each other when when -- literally -- shared a playpen.

In New Concord, Ohio, his parents and hers were friends.   When the families got together, their children played.

John -- the future Marine fighter pilot, the future test-pilot ace, the future astronaut -- was pure gold from the start.   He would end up having what it took to rise to the absolute pinnacle of American regard during the space race; imagine what it meant to be the young John Glenn in the small confines of New Concord .

Three-sport varsity athlete, most admired boy in town, Mr. Everything.

Annie Castor was bright, was caring, was talented, was generous of spirit.   But she could talk only with the most excruciating difficulty.   It haunted her.

Her stuttering was so severe that it was categorized as an "85%" disability -- 85% of the time, she could not manage to make words come out.

When she tried to recite a poem in elementary school, she was laughed at.   She was not able to speak on the telephone.   She could not have a regular conversation with a friend.

And John Glenn loved her.

Even as a boy he was wise enough to understand that people who could not see past her stutter were missing out on knowing a rare and wonderful girl.

They married on April 6, 1943.   As a military wife, she found that life as she and John moved around the country could be quite hurtful.   She has written: "I can remember some very painful experiences -- especially the ridicule."

In department stores, she would wander unfamiliar aisles trying to find the right section, embarrassed to attempt to ask the salesclerks for help.   In taxis, she would have to write requests to the driver, because she couldn't speak the destination out loud.   In restaurants, she would point to the items on the menu.

A fine musician, Annie, in every community where she and John moved, would play the organ in church as a way to make new friends.   She and John had two children; she has written: "Can you imagine living in the modern world and being afraid to use the telephone?   'Hello' used to be so hard for me to say.  I worried that my children would be injured and need a doctor.   Could I somehow find the words to get the information across on the phone?"

John, as a Marine aviator, flew 59 combat missions in World War II and 90 during the Korean War.   Every time he was deployed, he and Annie said goodbye the same way.   His last words to her before leaving were: "I'm just going down to the corner store to get a pack of gum."

And, with just the two of them there, she was able to always reply: "Don't be long."

On that February day in 1962 when the world held its breath and the Atlas rocket was about to propel him toward space, those were their words, once again.

And in 1998, when, at 77, he went back to space aboard the shuttle Discovery, it was an understandably tense time for them.   What if something happened to

end their life together? 
 
She knew what he would say to her before boarding the shuttle.   He did -- and this time he gave her a present to hold onto: A pack of gum.
She carried it in a pocket next to her heart until he was safely home.

Many times in her life she attempted various treatments to cure her stutter.   None worked.   But in 1973, she found a doctor in Virginia who ran an intensive

program she and John hoped would help her.   She traveled there to enroll and to give it her best effort.   The miracle she and John had always waited for at last,

as miracles will do, arrived.   At age 53, she was able to talk fluidly, and not in brief, anxiety-ridden, agonizing bursts.

John has said that on the first day he heard her speak to him with confidence and clarity, he dropped to his knees to offer a prayer of gratitude.

He has written: "I saw Annie's perseverance and strength through the years and it just made me admire her and love her even more."

He has heard roaring ovations in countries around the globe for his own valor, but his awe is reserved for Annie, and what she accomplished: "I don't

know if I would have had the courage."

Her voice is so clear and steady now that she regularly gives public talks.   If you are lucky enough to know the Glenns, the sight and sound of them

bantering and joking with each other and playfully finishing each others' sentences is something that warms you and makes you thankful just to be in the same room.

The recent anniversary of the Mercury space shot once again were reminded us of the heroism of Glenn the astronaut.

But if you ever find yourself at an event where the Glenns are appearing, and you want to see someone so brimming with pride and love that you may feel

your own tears start to well up, wait until the moment that Annie stands to say a few words to the audience.

And as she begins, take a look at her husband's eyes.... a true love story.

Our America ... We Have All Reached A Dangerous Bend In The River

Common Sense Commentary: Life, as time and the future, is uncertain and

changing constantly. Heraclitus supposedly said it first, in these words .......

"The Only Thing That Is Constant Is Change.” The quote itself has endured many 

changes. The most common of the changes is, "The only thing that never changes 

is change itself". From the beginning of time, as we understand it, time has been 

and is like a river of change. Each moment is different from the previous moment 

and the next is different still and though the river channel changes only slowly, the 

water changes rapidly. Time is like that flowing river. Life, itself, is like a river of 

water. We are all passing , as time passes, from the unchangeable past into the ever 

changing future ... forward toward our destiny. Every historical time and people, 

from Adam and Eve to this moment and this world of seven billion people, is 

changing. History is a record of change. America is no exception. America has 

reached a radical bend in our river where much disturbance, erosion and conflict 

tears at the land with destructive force. The river cannot stop or go back to calmer, 

peaceful days. We are being rapidly carried, hurled into the bend, into the 

future, into the change. I don't like it any better than you do, but it is what it is ... a 

fact of life, and we must face it, head-on and use our wits and strength, prayer and 

faith that we might survive the crisis change in these dangerous waters. We must 

do our part of the rowing around the snags, under water hazards, rapids ... and  

live to see around the bend and rescue those who are capsized and drowning in the 

turmoil. Who knows: it could be we are nearing river's end and are rapidly 

approaching the greatest change of all ...  the open sea of eternity future. RB

Common Sense Commentary: Light is something. It has a chemical content. It has a vitamin content. It has an illuminating content. It has a warming content. It has a purifying content. It has a soothing content. Light is something! Darkness is absolutely nothing except the absence of light. "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." John 8:12.

God turned on the lights in His Creation laboratory by speech recognition technology, which He also invented,  when He said, "Let there be light ..... and there was light". Gen.1:3.  He didn't need light to see what He was going to create that first day of Earth science, biology, botany, zoology, oceanography and physics ... but He wanted the host of angel beings and the entire universe to witness this new miracle. He made several fantastic things that week, one of which was the most amazing and magnificent of all His creations ... some little doll like creatures in His own "image and likeness", a male version and a female version. Within these two unique little human versions of himself, God embedded the most phenomenal reproductive science that would create millions of similar human creatures, all in "His image and likeness" and that of their two parents. They would come into existence with life, for eternity, at the precise moment their human father's DNA touched their mother's DNA in this miracle of God's reproductive science.

God who began creation with a burst of infinite, universal light, created human life with a finite burst of light... and here is another of many verifications that God the Creator, is behind it all. This tiny miracle speaks with universal sized volume to a dumbfounded scientific community. Only God could do this. Don't tell me it was an accident of "nature". Virginia Democrat Gov. Puts 206,000 Convicted Felons Back On Voting Register

Common Sense Commentary: The Democrat Governor's action this week nullifies the common state law that disqualifies convicted felons from voting. This action returns Virginia felon's, rapists and murderers included, to now be qualified to vote in Virginia.  I have four comments. (1) He has resorted to Obama's tactics of by-passing the Virginia Congress and Citizens of Virginia by Executive Order. Why? (2) Disqualifying felons from voting dates back to when most felons were white, not black, and had nothing to do with voters who happened to be black. (3) Therefore the Democrat Governor lies when he claims his decision was made because that law's purpose was to "Suppress African American voting power". (4) By that reasoning the Governor is plainly, but unintentionally, admitting two otherwise unmentionable facts which Democrats, News Media and even Republicans avoid like the plague, though true. What are those two documented facts? Dare I say it? .... The large majority of convicted felons are either black or vote Democrat, or both. (Google the subject and see). Would the good Governor have given back voting rights, at this late hour, when the Presidency is in the balance, to a bunch of conservative Republican voters? If you can't answer that honestly, please take me off of your "friends" list and let me know so I can do the same. RB

McAuliffe restores voting rights for 206K ex-felons; GOP calls it move to boost Clinton

Gov. Terry McAuliffe signed an executive order Friday restoring the voting rights of 206,000 felons, a sweeping action the governor said was aimed largely at rectifying Virginia's "long and sad history" of suppressing African-American voting power.

The move, coming in a presidential election year, outraged Republicans who accused McAuliffe of abusing his power to help longtime ally Hillary Clinton win a battleground state by putting more likely Democratic voters on the books.

The governor's order applies to all violent and nonviolent felons who had finished their sentence and supervised release as of Friday even those who have not applied for a restoration of rights. Previous Virginia governors have restored rights on an individual basis, but none have done it for an entire category of offenders with one pen stroke.
