My Conversation With His Highness Of 8 Royal Titles, The Pope

Common Sense Commentary: The pope's proper title, according to the Vatican's website, is Bishop of Rome, Vicar of Jesus Christ, Successor of the Prince of the Apostles, Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church, Primate of Italy, Archbishop and Metropolitan of the Roman Province, Sovereign of the State of Vatican City, Servant of the Servants of God.

The bottom line of that is hyperbole .... exaggeration, overstatement
magnificationembroidery, embellishment, excess, overkill, rhetoric,
puffery and purple prose.

I will, therefore simply address the Pope (Papa), who is not a Papa, as Pope which is not one of his 8 titles.

The article below, in black type, has the Pope's quotes in brown, mine in blue

Pope Francis defends Muslims and Says 'Islam is NOT terrorism'

POPE Francis said yesterday it was wrong to identify Islam with terrorism and that social injustice and "idolatry of money" were among the prime causes of terrorism. Speaking aboard the plane taking him back to Rome after a five-day trip to Poland, he said: “I think it is not right to identify Islam with terrorism“It is not right and it is not true.”

So, Mr. Pope, in answer to your above statement, I correct you in that we Christians do not "identify Islam with terrorism", but terrorism with Islam. You, Sir, reverence "religion" and the "poor" more than you reference Christ. You speak less of Christ, God's word, sin and salvation than you do of religion and poverty. Jesus taught us to have compassion on the poor but He also drew a holy line between its importance and the primary message of His church ...Preaching His Gospel or Salvation to all people....RB  Mark 14:7 "For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always." "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15. Your Popeish message of governments confiscating resources from the haves and giving it to the poor is contrary to Christ's message of voluntary giving by the haves to the poor out of Christian love. Confiscation is a Communist doctrine which was also practiced before Communism by the Roman Empire of which you are a benefactor and a continuance. RB
Francis was responding to a question about the killing on July 26 of an 85-year-old Roman Catholic priest by knife-wielding attackers who burst into a church service in western France, forced the priest to his knees and slit his throat. The attack was claimed by ISIS (Islamic State).
He said: “I think that in nearly all religions there is always a small fundamentalist group."
A Fundamentalist, according to webster's 1934 edition, is "One who believes in the basic tenets of their faith". "A Christian Fundamentalist is one who believes in the inerrancy of the Scriptures, Creationism, Biblical miracles, the virgin birth, and the physical resurrection of Christ." By that definition , the Pope is saying, a Muslim terrorist is one who believes in Muhammad's writings in the Quran exactly as recorded. Therefore, terrorists are more precisely believers in Islam's quran than are other Muslims. By calling Muslim terrorists "fundamentalists", the Pope is making the case against his own argument. RB
He then added: “We have them,” referring to Catholicism.
When the Pope says, "We have them"(Fundamentalists), he is not complimenting, but denigrating those Catholics who believe in following the tenets of the Catechism, most of which is in line with Scripture. He is distinguishing them from himself and the majority of Catholics. RB
The Pope continued: “I don’t like to talk about Islamic violence because every day when I look at the papers I see violence here in Italy - someone killing his girlfriend, someone killing his mother-in-law. These are baptized (sprinkled) Catholics."
I have been to Italy eight times. Those have been some of the most pleasant experienced I have ever enjoyed. I have walked the streets of Rome at night with Christian friends with never a problem with violence. I would not do so, as a non-Muslim, in Damascus, Baghdad, or any other Muslim country except maybe Jordan and I wouldn't do so in "Muslim Only" conclaves in cities all over Europe and in Detroit. Italy, even with the Mafia, does not compare in violence to ANY Muslim country. If violence is in constant predominance by people who claim to be doing it for "Allah", who pray three times a day toward Mecca, who daily read and quote the Quran and regularly murder non-Muslims, what else do you call them but radical Islamists or .... Muslim Fundamentalist ? RB
“If I speak of Islamic violence, I have to speak of Catholic violence. Not all Muslims are violent."
And not all snakes are poisonous, but they tolerate those which are. Until non-violent Muslims condemn their brother Muslims who are doing all the slaughtering of thousands of innocent people, who do not believe as they do, as I condemn a Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, who claim to be Christians, but violate everything Jesus Christ taught, Muslims will be suspect to most Christians. Non-violent Muslims must take a vocal, active stand against those who are. But the problem is not about 95% of Muslims being terrorists. It is about 95% or terrorists being Muslims. RB
He said there were various causes of terrorism. The Pope said: “I know it is dangerous to say this but terrorism grows when there is no other option and when money is made and it, instead of the person, is put at the centre of the world economy." What does that mean?
Mr. Pope, The Catholic Church, of which you are the CEO, is the richest denomination or private institution by far than any other in the world. So why do you speak of giving other people's money to help the poor? You, Pope Francis, are constantly speaking of helping the poor. You regularly criticize capitalism as being interested only in wealth. Hearing your concern about the poor, I suggest you sell everything owned by the Catholic Church which is not a functioning church, including all of your personal, royal regalia and jewelry to feed the hungry of the world. According to Avro Manhattan, in The Vatican Billions, “The Vatican has billions of shares in the richest international corporations on earth,  Gulf Oil, Shell, General Motors, Bethlehem Steel, General Electric, International Business Machines, etc etc.” That is not to say, billions of dollars but billions of shares in hundreds of corporations. United Nations World Magazine wrote that the Catholic religion, that you, Francis, oversee, also owns billions of dollars worth of gold which is kept at the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank, Swiss Banks and British Banks. Why aren't you, sir, using your own trillions of dollars of stored up wealth to help the poor that you want someone else to help? Hypocrisy does not require eight titles, Sir.
The Vatican, headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church, has 1.2 billion members in 180 nations. It is a two-and-a-half square mile complex on the Tiber River in Rome, a prestigious area of land worth billions. The buildings themselves are worth other billions and the contents more billions of art, rare books, precious metals and an accumulation of priceless relics.
The Roman Church’s world-wide real estate holdings are almost unfathomable. It owns all the Roman Catholic churches on earth ... (220,000 worldwide), enormous cathedrals (3,300 worldwide), and colleges (1,358 worldwide). When you throw in the monasteries and nunneries around the globe, you are talking trillions and trillions of dollars in wealth. Then there is the Catholic billions of dollars of inheritance from the faithful that have been invested worldwide for hundreds of years resulting in the greatest fortune on earth.
Considering the debt the nations of the world have run up on welfare programs over the years, many nations owe more than their entire country is worth. It is therefore a certainty that Vatican City, without any real debt and multiplied trillions of investments, gold and property is the richest "nation" on earth. How does that square with the Pope's derision of debt ridden nations to do even more deficit spending to take care of the poor? RB
The last words of the article above my blue comments was, "The world economy"...... and is followed, as he continues his thoughts on "The world economy...." "That is the first form of terrorism. That is a basic terrorism against all humanity. Let’s talk about that." What ? The "world economy" is the main form of terrorism? Ridiculous!
When he started the trip last week, Francis said "the killing of the priest and a string of other attacks were proof the “world is at war” but that it was not caused by religion". False! It was caused by radical Islamists who follow the teachings of the Quran (Their Bible) RB
He told reporters on the plane that "lack of economic opportunities for young people in Europe was also to blame for terrorism." Misleading! The war is being caused, not by "young people" in general, but by young Islamists.
He said: “I ask myself how many young people that we Europeans have left devoid of ideals, who do not have work. Then they turn to drugs and alcohol or enlist in ISIS." There is a grain of truth in that, but just a grain. RB
