Common Sense Commentary: We have all known lazy people who hated WORK and considered it to be a four letter word. Well, we Americans are passing through a new era. I call it the age of Politically Incorrect masculinity... the feminization of young men. Many young men today, apparently rich, appear to be thinking that looking like a "working man" is now desirable. They may not actually DO any kind of hard work .... just LOOK like they do. So they FAKE it by buying jeans that look worn or dirty ... at far higher prices than regular jeans ... and I mean FAR higher. So these particular, poor, little, rich kids come dragging into school looking like they had to replace the engine of their new car on the way to school. They now seem to realize that being able to actually fix something has a certain kind of honor attached to it that they want to mimic ... not actually do it, mind you, just look like they did it. They must now struggle not to be feminine and trying to be, as God intended them, masculine, by no longer thinking WORK is a four letter word .... and embracing another four letter word ... FAKE. It is a shame not to let our sons see the honor of being a real man. But real men are outnumbered by the trend of idiots to do away with the God-ordained difference between the sexes. RB
Fake dirty jeans? Get a real life, AmericaBy
Would someone really pay $425 for jeans covered in fake “dirt”? Okay, maybe they would.
Mike Rowe, most known for being the host of the Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs, ridiculed anyone who might buy the Barracuda Straight Leg Jeans from Nordstrom. He calls such people “inauthentic,” as these jeans don’t have “real mud” but have “fake mud” on them. “Something to foster the illusion of work. The illusion of effort. Or perhaps, for those who actually buy them, the illusion of sanity.”
