Life's Walking Journey Isn't Long ... When It's Done

And then begins life's true meaning...

Life is a walking journey across a worldly continent ... from sea to Shining Sea. Between the two, and on your way, there are swamps, jungles, and deserts... but cool springs and mountain tops too. There is a best route to take where lies the smoothest path, and a best attitude to carry for your long life's walk. In your way, you will encounter every imaginable and unexpected trial of hardship and test of endurance. They will make your journey seem long and often impossible to endure. But, in the blackest night, there is, above the darkness ... a full sky of starlight, to show you the way. In the deepest trials, there is rest, an oasis in the middle of your desert endurance and a mountaintop breeze at the end of every deep valley.

Your calling is to endure by the grace of God through your faith in Him and His gift of life to you. The best you can do is to do your best and, in Him rest, at the end of each day's distance traveled. So endure, for you will make it home and your life won't seem so long, after all, when you reach the shore of that far away Shining Sunset Sea. It is then you will look back and realize He was with you every step of the way and your arrival was never in doubt by Him. RB
