Common Sense Commentary: First ... let us be.

An old man said it in the land of the free
That America is our national family tree
With roots, a trunk and branches three.
Those roots are our heritage and history
The great trunk our strength and unity
Three branches guarantee us opportunity
To produce oxygen, fruit and a family.
Now elitists swear the purpose of our tree
Is to control, tax and "protect" you and me,
But truth be known from sea to shining sea
Our protection is their second responsibility
But the first is to step aside and let us be.
